  1. Ky, you should submit those *particularly the last two* to Blizzard's Hallow's Eve collection. Your cast photo is magnificent, and the only thing missing from the photo of you and Waldonnis is a pitch-fork upright in his hand.
  2. The Sunday Kara run starts at 3pm server time and, at least for now, goes on until people want to stop. Generally between four to five and a half hours long.
  3. Engineers have mastered VTOL technology? I'm shocked.
  4. I just saw a link to the graphics for the new mounts that will be available from Cenarion Expedition at exalted, and all I can say is PRETTY. http://www.mmo-champion.com/images/news/20...narionmount.jpg I think I'm going to have to hit exalted with them for Ronstin and grab either the silvery white or the brown and white. Those have some NICE colorization schemes.
  5. Scryll doesn't really need anything until Curator. He'd bank a couple of items off Moroes, Maiden, and the Opera as spares or equipment sets for alternative specs, but he's not really seeking anything up to Garona's Signet Ring off Curator.
  6. Scryll's keyed for everything, Ronstin's keyed for everything but Caverns of Time.
  7. It's a shout, a group buff. It's not for you, it's for the rest of us poor schmucks eating AoE or damage from additional mobs. We don't get multiple dedicated healers on each of us. When I'm eating a garrote, a Holy Fire, whirlwinds I'm still trying to get away from, etc, I need as much health as I can get, because chances are a healer isn't going to get to me immediately. Fights go easier when the rest of us have buffs like Commanding Shout and Fortitude I like this! Exactly why I do not run any type of meters. Why do I get the feeling that Calendar might consider not running Omen or KTM to fall under "ignorant of your threat rate"?
  8. Costumes are easy if you've got access to higher level armors. Tauren warriors dressed as rogues, etc. Not really RP outfits, just dressing up as something which is plainly not your normal role.
  9. I am collecting cards for a Darkmoon Faire Blessings deck, and the Faire is coming up. I already have the Two, the Seven, and the Ace. I'm paying 50 gold a card for the others.
  10. ::looks at Ghules, looks at Ky:: ... ::sighs:: It looks like I'll be spending a lot of time in Scarlet Monastery this Hallow's End.
  11. So many of those changes are going to be significantly smaller if/when they go Live.
  12. Caveat emptor. Blizzard nerfed the diamond. We don't know whether this was accidental or deliberate. Right now, the +3percent to crit damage does not affect spell damage at all *in 2.1.3 it was explicitly changed to include spell damage* nor does it affect white damage. The only thing covered by the additional damage is physical special attacks *Heroic Strike, Mangle, Backstab, Multi-shot, etc.*
  13. I'm not seeing what the issue with having 3-6 frames in a raid environment is. Things only really become impossible at about 1.8 frames.
  14. It's a decent collection for people who don't want to get into the numbers much, but do be aware that rogue stats can't be quantified as independent variables. I.e. the true AEP of a given stat point is dependent on the present total value of the other stats. I personally prefer the Rogue DPS spreadsheet. It is built around the idea of the raid-environment so it focuses on sustained dps rather than burst, but I still find I can compensate for that bias easier than I can adjust for the distortion in the Shadowpanther values. http://rogue.raidcal.com. I've also just found another one mentioned on the Elitist Jerks forum *loads of interesting theory-crafting there* that I'm planning on checking out when I have some time.
  15. I've finally found the source of the problem *albeit not an acceptable solution* and have implemented a few workarounds. Some Mac users having the same problem noticed it was only happening with their wireless-connected computers and finally tracked the problem down to the encryption. We don't know why, but apparently Google's pages for the last few weeks have an objection to the common security protocols. Turning off encryption provides normal access, but is not a particularly desirable step. So I'm going to have to live without Google for a while. I've found a way to block the ad-running scripts here and on other sites so I'm back to mostly normal browsing despite the problem.
  16. I've recently been having a bit of an IT problem. I've been suffering progressive failure to load Google pages. A few weeks ago I noticed I couldn't get to Google News anymore, last week Google's mainpage stopped loading, and now various sites which use Google's ad engine *including this one* are taking an additional 2-5 minutes to load every page because my browser keeps trying *and failing* to reach those ads. It only affects my computer, it doesn't affect the others in the house. Spyware and virus searches don't turn up anything. I can't get there with the IP number either, so it doesn't appear to be a DNS issue. The only thing in my hosts file is local computer, and there don't appear to be any bad duplicate host files laying around on my computer, so I'm not being redirected away from Google in that fashion. I'm confuzzled, and with the spread to sites like this one, I'm starting to get downright aggravated.
  17. Congratulations on living long enough to turn 25 for the 15th time, Smed.
  18. Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday nights are when I'm available. *well, I'm technically available Wednesday as well, but I know at least three others have Gruul's then*
  19. You were stepping on little people? I thought you were just killing lots and lots of ogres. They're big people, like 3 times your size.
  20. I'd like to provide added force to what Stinky said. The FCC might come after us.
  21. I'm perfectly familiar with pvping with Crushers. It's how I first met the Clan, and I've spent good times with my fellow guildies in Arathi and AV with Scryll, and AB/Warson with Narlla *one of a group of six to eight Crushers who ran BG's together for 3-6 hours every Sunday for a while. But it was usually something to do when nothing else was going on and when it wasn't, it was at a more accessible time of day. I don't want to engage in that sort of high-energy activity just before I go to bed. I want to wind down, not get more strung up.
  22. No, I think you're right Maube. I've far preferred Warcraft to the only other MMO I've tried, City of Heroes, but CoH did do some things better. Group synergy for one and also, relevant to this, I think they've had a better model for new content. Azeroth is a static world. It doesn't change at all. All the new content is at the very end, and it's all tacked on to the existing material. Some *very few* change in the end-game zones, and the addition of new material at that very end of the line. Paragon City's been a much more dynamic place. There's movement along the end stage, but there's a fair amount of change throughout the game, and it's not all tacked on to existing content, it includes changes to older content.
