For the next 10 days he will be competing in the Junior Olympics and World Championships in Philadelphia for roller hockey

He was selected to Team USA to compete in the Junior World championships and will face teams from around the world, his first 3 games are against Canada, Great Britian and Scottland.

After the world's complete he will compete in the Junior Olympics with his home team the Tour Stealth

I am working on the connection issues this weekend and see if I can figure out the problem. On the bright side, it was looking better towards the end of the night.

If it is a Comcast issue, I fear the worst. There is no VIOS avalable in my area so I will have to be happy with what I get from Cable. As for Cal's commetns yesterday about "selective raiding," I totally understand what is expected of me. If I cannot deliver, I will bow out of the raid as a whole before having to be asked-no worries.

I feel the absolute need to point out that Karrock's technology skill is close to zero.

He knows how to play WoW and download porn, and that's basically it.

He doesn't even know the difference between VIOS and FIOS.

If you told him that he needs to put new batteries into his monitor to make his internet connection more stable, he'd unscrew the back panel and stare at it for hours.

I have removed a bunch of programs, reduced effects and such in game, defrag'd, scanned, updated drivers...pretty much did all I knew to improve.

I was on last night and had about 6 d/c's in 3 hours-I heard they were screwng with the server yesterday and wasn't the only one in my group having issues; so let's hope it was not my setup. However, I was streaming Sat radio thru my pc and noticed that whenever I d/c'd, the sat radio would go silent as well. This leads me to believe that I am still having issues.

I run Vista, which I heard gives people issues-not sure what to do at this point but pray. Could it be the protection I have set up on the pc? If I have an aftermarket software installed, should I still run the windows stuff?

Hey guys,

I just wanted to add a note here about connection issues:

It doesn't matter if your connection isn't the best in the world. I don't require our raiders to have uber connections. Hell I don't even care if you're playing on a dial-up 14.4k modem.

The idea is that whatever your connection may be, you should be able to perform at a level that is appropriate for the content. If you run at 2FPS with a 750ms latency but are able to deal with Archimonde's doomfire, airbust, curses and fear abilities appropriately then I have no complaints. Basically, internet connections should not be a reason for failure =)

A little though love never hurt no one!

ya... if you are using norton firewall or mcaffee fire wall, get rid of them, they are known to cause some major issues. I personally use the vista built in firewall - its free and does the job good enough. The problem probably isn't vista, alot of people are running it and wow fine. Oh, and stop downloading tauren porn douche... that's probably what is causing all your connection issues .

Those are very nice reminders, but I will be blunt: why does it look like a poorly illustrated depiction of Archimonde swinging his harbl all over the raid? o_o;

Greetings, everyone.

I feel obliged to make a quick post as to our direction for this week, seeing as Im hearing 19 stories from different raid members, most of which are wrong.

First, we've begun the recruitment process to fill the holes left by Harne and Marrania. Our first choice would be to fill both those slots with Shadow Priests as we're 1 slot melee heavy, and the casters/healers could use the mana regen that those priests provide. We have found a few candidates, and will be trying them out over the next few weeks.

Second, we'll be in BT for a few weeks, or at least until we have a set roster again that consistently shows up. If we can manage that cohesion again, we might head back to Archi and make more attempts.

Third, this weeks roster will consist of the people listed on this spreadsheet: ROSTER

The following additions/changes will be made for the week:

Draegloth --> Redwitch

Open slot 1 --> Cocochen

Open slot 2 --> Andor

If you have been subbing for us these past few weeks, we thank you for your help and hope you aren't too jaded about the whole deal. Summer has been tough on our raid, as it has been on many others on this server.

Fourth, although we appreciate so many taking up the mantle, we ask that you please keep the Jr. Raidleader comments to yourself. If you have a suggestion, send a tell to Cal or I, and we'll determine whether or not we want to incorporate it. You only confuse others and waste time by blurting out scenarios/ideas/reminders. We're going to make better use of our limited raid time.

Fifth and finally, yes, there are some raid positions under review. Those who are under scrutiny have either already been talked to or will be shortly. If this bothers you, then make sure you are ready to go by coming prepared, reading up on the fights, and doing your best.

I'm glad to hear that it was decided to go to BT. The raid seemed to be getting the "blues" from too much Archi fail. We could use some additional boss killings in BT.
