  1. ((Awesome! Keep it up guys An maybe I'll be able to join ya'll in the bracket someday ))
  2. LOL. You know, I tried to do the female NE dance, but I could never get it right. So I perfected the male Tauren and male NE dances! And yes, my husband goes to bed about 11pm or midnight, and I don't get to bed until about 3 or 4am. *shifty eyes*
  3. Seems like maybe a few things would change with Shamans instead of Pallys though, since that's based on Alliance.
  4. I would absolutely love either AQ or ZG. Seems like ZG Mondays are always full
  5. Chalk me up for the shoulders now! Thankee thankee.
  6. ((Ya'll are prolly already sick of me posting )) ------------------------------------------------------- Amahli yawned and stretched her paws out before her, claws extending and scratching at the dirt beneath her. Giving her feline coat a shake, she smiled sleepily up at the male Tauren in front of her. "Do we have ta keep trainin'? Can't we juss go'n get somethin' ta drink in Orgrimmar?" Sighing, the Tauren shook his head. "'Mahli, if we don't train, we won't stay in shape. We need to keep strong." Rolling over onto her back and batting at the air with her paws, she responded, "M'already strong enough, Moon. An' fast. Folks's comin' ta hit me won't even be able ta catch me." She grinned. Mooncrush, a long time friend of Amahli's, reached out and prodded her with his staff, and tried not to smile when she simply rolled over. "Folks are going to just come up and smack you if you're just laying about all day." She rolled all of the way over onto her feet and shifted out of the cat form, straightening out her hair - it always seemed to get mussed when she shifted! "Yer all 'train train train', ain't ya? From th'day we passed our final test it's all ya wanna do." Amahli wrinkled up her nose at him. "Bet ya ain't even looked at a girl since yer early days." "There's.. I.. That's not the point!" he said. "Training is a lot more important than any of the dalliances I'm sure you've been taking advantage of." With mock-indignation, Amahli replied taking a seat on a large rock nearby, "Ya think s'little of me? Why, I'm but as innocent as th'day ah was calved!" At his eye roll, she snickered. "An' what of it? Can't be all war'n'battle, y'know. Gotta have some fun here an' there." The male Tauren set his staff down and joined her in sitting. He looked at her. "I don't know how you do it." She looked up from following an ant across the rock. "Hm? Do what?" "How you can just.. go about life with such a sunny outlook." Amahli's eyes shadowed momentarily, but she quickly broke it with a shake of her head, offering a more understanding smile. "Naw, it ain't all like that. Ah've seen mah share of badness." She brought her legs up on the rock to sit cross-legged, then continued, "But y'see, ya gotta know it ain't all gonna be like that. Shore, there's some bad times, but how ya gonna look at it? Like it's never gonna end? That right there's just plain ole dumbness." Mooncrush looked slightly confused. "But it is bad. So you say just to pretend it's good?" She shook her head and tried to think of a way to rephrase it. "What ah'm tryin' ta say, I guess, is ya gotta see the good in it. If yer out fightin' for the War Chief, instead of thinkin' how turrible the conditions be, juss think of the good yer doin'." She smiled at him. "Yer helpin the youngin's to live another season. Keepin' the enemy at bay cause it's not only what ya gotta do, but what ya should do." The other druid nodded. "I think I see what you're saying. To fight for someone else, right?" Amahli grinned and patted his arm. "There ya go, y'got it. If ya fight for yaself, it's ta yaself goes the consequences. Fightin' fer ya comrades an' the littles who're countin' on ya gives ya more ta lose. Makes ya fight better, Ah'd say." Mooncrush leaned back a bit, and seemed lost in his own thoughts. Amahli fidgeted a bit with her kilt, and got out some Runecloth to make a few bandages. They sat in that relative silence for a few minutes before he broke it. "So why not train harder?" Ready for the question, Amahli smiled and told him, "It's not th'trainin'. Ya kin train all ya want, but if you become so focused on that an' only that, y'start to miss out on everything else. Focus too much on one thing, an' that's all you'll see: the fightin'." He chuckled. "I suppose you have a point there. I've already missed a couple meals because of it." He scratched his head. "So maybe we have trained enough for today. What do you want to do for the rest of the evening?" With a glint of mischeif in her eye, Amahli told him, "Ah say we get a few drinks in Orgrimmar an' see where that takes us." Without waiting for a reply, she shifted quickly into the spotted cat best suited for travel, and left Mooncrush surprised and scrambling to catch up. As he did so, he muttered to himself, "Does she do anything at less than a run?"
  7. I just used Photoshop for mine. Take ee screenshots and put em on different layers and whatnot, edit it a bit. Trail and error really ta find somethin that looks good Then again, I've had Photoshop for several years and mess around in it all the time. And I absolutely adore Raeda's.

  10. Yeah, and I always put into reduced cost of shifting. Even when Resto, since I have to go bear sometimes or cat to chase things down. My sig? I made it in Photoshop from screenshots I took of me.

  14. That is a really nicely done post. It's sad to think that there are guilds out there, mongering for loot in such a fashion, but I'm so glad I joined SC instead of any of those.
  15. Those videos really do help. I definitely encourage everyone to watch them.
  16. ((Sorta the sequel to the first one)) She didn't know how long it had been. Hours, days even. It felt like a dream; some horrible nightmare in which she was trapped. After the long, bloody war of the Alterac Valley, when the red film of rage finally lifted from Amahli's eyes, she was absolutely horrified at what she had done - what she had become. She couldn't bear the aftermath, bodies strewn about the fields, some bearing huge claw and teeth marks for which she knew she was responsible. So she fled to the first haven she could think of, to find solace in the peace of Moonglade; and as she lay among the weeds along the shore of the lake, her eyes focused on the image of her reflection. Try as she may, her thoughts kept cycling back to the war. How could she have done it? All of the teachings and lessons drilled into her head since her youth had simply vainished, and she'd nearly lost her mind. She'd nearly lost her life! Wiping her tear soaked eyes, she heard a voice inside her say, Did you really think it would bring them back? That it would bring him back? She clenched her eyes shut tightly, as if that would block it out, but to no avail. Stupid girl, silly girl.. Hand stained red. And for what? The Earth Mother would be ashamed! A scream wrenching from her throat shouted, "Shut up!" She pounded the earth once with a fist. "Shut up, shut up, sh.. shut.." she was cut off by a great sob, and collapsed in her own grief. She was stupid! She was even ashamed of herself. Losing control like that went against everything she'd ever learned. She hated herself! Cry, baby, cry, her own thoughts practically sneered at her, tears now freely flowing down her cheeks, to splash the grass beneath her. She was in such a state of turmoil that she didn't even hear the approaching steps behind her, along the road. "You a'right?" asked a young voice timidly, causing her to jump a little in surprise. Hastily wiping her watery eyes on a sleeve, Amahli turned to face him - a young male Tauren. He continued, hesitation showing in his posture and voice. "Was on route ter m'trainer an' 'appened ter catch sight o' yah. D'ya need a 'and?" With a short and pitiful laugh, she told him, "Naw 'less yah kin mend a broken soul." He titled his head curiously (Amahli guess him to be about half her own age). "'Ow'd y'break it?" Blinking, to clear her eyes better, Amahli eyed the child. "Why should you care?" she demanded. "Doncha have lessons ta be gettin' to?" The boy looked taken back. "Ain't yah a druid? M'druid teacher hisself taught us 'is very first' lesson: 'Always 'elp another an' each other, cause thas' what we do.'" he quoted. "Er.. somethin' akin t'that anyway.. point 'ee try ter make is we train in th'Mother's compassion an' wisdom. Though we 'ave ter kill now'n'then, we do so ter protect those 'oo need it, naw fer th'joy o' killin'." As Amahli continued to stare at the boy - who was no little embarassed at his own speech - the words of her own trainer echoed in her mind, triggered by what the child had said. 'First, we must remember to keep our heads! Our path is one of aid and compassion, but also one of danger. As such, even when altering your shape to defend yourself and comrades, remember who you are..' He rubbed the back of his head nervously. "Um, well, if there ain't nuthin' Ah kin do fer yah, Ah'll be on m'way.." At Amahli's nod, and seeing the distraction in her eyes, he turned himself back down the road to continue on his own path. So it was, when Amahli glanced cautiosly back at her reflection on the lake surface, she no longer was overwhelmed by the ravenous killer she thought herself to be. The inner voice, as well, which had been so dominant before, was also quieted. It would take an extremely long time for that voice of self-doubt and guilt to completely fade, but at least now she could manage. And so, as she lifted herself from the ground and gathered her belongings, it felt as if the burden on her shoulders had been lightened somewhat, and she stepped off along the path, destined for home and repeating over and over again to herself.. Remember who you are..
  17. *grabs the notice to read it* Ooh this sounds just perfect! Ah have ta go find somethin ta wear! *rushes off*
  18. You totally had me goin with the first one I actually like the flight form, though from a distance it's gonna look a lot like the owls, I'd think.
  19. ((Ack, now you got me seeing it that way! ))
  20. ((Not trying to spam, but I threw this together today. Amahli was Resto up until I switched feral. This right here's an explanation of sort of why it happened. And yes, she's young for her experience. Hope this one's better than my last. Though the last one was sorta frilly.)) Battle, swords clashing, screaming.. The sounds echoed painfully in the ears of a Tauren just into her majority, as she lay facedown behind a small rise in the Alterac Valley, staff broken in two beside her. The bright, full moon high above allowed her half-opened eyes to see her own blood mixed in with the snow, already freezing. Familiar shouts, fallen comrades.. How did it get like this? She would die here, in the midst of chaos? Blood continued to leak slowly from several wounds, shallow enough not to be immediately fatal, but many enough to make movement difficult. She never knew why they were fighting. It was just something she was told to do. Thoughts ran through her mind - spells too late cast, lives lost. Why was she responsible for so many? Clash, bang, shout, scream.. Her eyes seemed to be closing of her own accord, the sounds of battle becoming less imposing.. quieter.. and she awaited the moment of bliss that would follow, where she would join the Earth Mother in the eternal sky. It didn't come. However, she dreamed.. -------------- ((insert dream sequence)) The sun shone happily above her, and she twirled her staff happily with both hands, walking towards Thunder Bluff. She'd just finished her internship with a Druiddess in Moonglade, and finally passed her last test: that of the Dire Bear. Although trained in the arts of healing, the mothers taught that in desperate times she, too, might be forced to take the life of another. And for that she needed training in each of the Earth Mother's forms. Outwardly, good little student Amahli nodded, conceding to the wisdom of the elders. But inwardly she was distressed. She wanted no part of war. And besides that, she doubted that she could even take a life! Sure, she hunted. But that was only in necessity, for food or clothing. Though, as much as Amahli wished to think that her morals were her only hinderance, she couldn't. Deep down, she was terrified. She wasn't dumb - she knew that the war with the Alliance was only growing worse. But how could she possibly fight? This was why she'd devoted herself to the healing path, chosing to work in Thunder Bluff as a resident Healer and care for the sick and injured that were transported there. It was the perfect job for her. She would never even need to see open warfare. But her future was shattered before her eyes. Upon stepping hoof onto the great height from the lift, a small Tauren came dashing up to her. "Miss 'Mahli, th'Chief wants ter see ya." She smiled down at him and thanked him for the message, frowning internally. She'd never actually been called before him before. Actually.. she'd never really even talked to him before, much less had him acknowledge her. Rushing to the top level, she trotted up to his tent, bowing before him upon arrival. She could see others grouped with her, of all sorts. Hunters with their enormous beasts, a shaman who nodded to her in recognition, and even a few of her own classmates. "I've called you all here," he began, voice booming over the lot of them, "because the situation has worsened." He paused to let that sink in. "We are losing numbers on the front lines too quickly, and we need more troops. I know some of you are barely out of training, but we need you. Travel to Orgrimmar, and from there you will move out with the rest of the troop stationed there. That is all." Amahli didn't even hear the dismissal, so dumbstruck was she about this news. No.. NO! her mind screamed, eyes wide. Wrapped up in her own thoughts, she jerked in surprise when someone prodded her arm roughly. "Hey, daydreamer," a voice sounded, none too politely. "Didn't y'here? We're off to the front lines." Before she could respond, another voice cut in. "Oh, it's Amahli. What's she going to do?" She clenched her jaw, turning to face forward in an effort to ignore them, as the first voice added from behind her, "Oh, her, huh? I hear it took her nearly twenty tries to even pass her final test." She whirled around, eyes angry, and opened her mouth to speak, but one of the two rudely elbowed her aside, causing her to fall over backwards, landing hard on the dirt. He sneered. "Face it, you can't even protect y'self! How're y'gonna protect anyone else?" Her eyes swelled with hot tears, though she tried to force them back in, knowing that they were probably right. --------------- ...Never be able to protect anyone... Pain, anger, hate! NO! Her eyes flew open, the faces of those the enemy slaughtered running through her mind. Friends, family, comrades in arms.. This time, no grief flooded her heart, and no tears burned her eyes. Revenge, death, RAGE! Amahli's eyes became wild, pupils narrowing. Her hooves at once began to change, first shrinking, then growing digits with fierce claws, echoed on front paws that stretched out before her. Tail lashing, teeth bared, the rest of her transformation completed itself. She stood crouched, feeling the snow beneath her, smelling the blood around her, and lifting her head to the night sky with a roar that echoed through the Valley - a roar filled with all of the pain and thoughts of revenge and killing she could muster. Tonight she would not fall again. Tonight she would hunt and prey upon each and every Alliance bastids that crossed her path. Amahli? There was no Amahli. She was death incarnate, a ravenous beast with claws extended in anticipation of ripping the very life from those she felt deserved it. With a snarl, she lept from behind her would-be grave and her half-crazed eyes fell upon the unlucky figure of a small gnome ahead in the darkness, clearly illuminated by the small fire, fiddling with some piece of equipment. Mouth curled into an evil grin, she crept closer. She tensed her entire body, bunching up her muscles.. Hot blood! RipTearShredKILL! ..And exploded forward!
  21. "Hurry up!" the little Tauren shouted, stomping her hoof impatiently. "Ah've only two hours afore sun goes down!" She stood (in what she thought to be a very fierce pose) on the eastern outskirts of her village, Bloodhoof, with a small staff brandished in one hand and a brown leather bag over her shoulder. Just passing the last of the tents, three young male Tauren about the same age came jogging up. One, holding a totem in one fist and a mace in the other, sighed when he reached the girl. "Amahli, it's not a race, you know." Grinning ear to ear, Amahli twirled her staff then replied, "Aw, stomp it, Nahye. Ya know ah wanted ta have this done ages ago." Another of the boys piped up, "What y'mean 'ages', Ama? We was on'y asked last day." Amahli rolled her eyes and put a hand on her hip, swinging her staff around again with the other. "Yah'll kin be ickle meat-heads then an' ah kin chase them baddies off'n by mahself!" Without waiting for a response, she stomped again and took off to the east, passing by bewildered Plainstriders. The three Tauren left in her wake looked around at each other, and one of the bolder ones spoke up with a touch of weariness. "C'mon, guys. Might as well catch up with her before she hurts herself." ((Just a short little clip from Amahli's early life, while living in Bloodhoof village. I'd imagine her to have been quite the little nuisance. ))
