  1. In case I am not home in time to start the invites at 8pm, I am asking Relikk or Taurgren to start inviting people from the roster and getting the groups set up. I will be there in time for the first pull, and I will be bringing a Repair Bot with me to make sure we can keep rolling. Someone inform Halamesh that he needs Feral and Healing gear tonight - bear may end up tanking. Next week's run will give priority to the people who show up this week and stay from start to finish, real life being the exception. We had a really good group show up and clomp that place good, now with a little pre-planning and effort, we can own those trolls and plant our banner atop Hakkar's Altar! Note: PLEASE try to get two Priests - we had none sign up. With two more priests and Crikrunner we can seriously plan on visiting Hakkar tonight - of that I have no doubts. ALSO - read the following blurb about Panther Aspect - which is the hardest of ALL the aspects to down. We down her, Hakkar is soon to follow. If we had another Warlock or another Mage, we could attempt the frost nova + AoE down the panthers, but we don't, so we will roll with this suggestion I found while trolling for Arlokk tactics. Here are the people who are signed up, and how I plan on grouping them based off my experience in raiding with them. I might make a couple changes as we go, but this is looking good to me. Please get to know your people as I would like to have the same groups working together week-in and week-out. Groupings (NO EDGE OF MADNESS) Group 1 Relikk - Warrior Taurgren - Hunter Sabrianica - Rogue Depaa - Shaman Kytae - Priest (30 minutes late) Group 2 Zalkul - Warrior Khanak - Hunter Scryll - Rogue Dugand - Shaman PRIEST Group 3 Tithegha - Warrior Tonac - Hunter Ghules - Mage Roh - Rogue WARLOCK / SHAMAN / MAUBE (errr...mage) Group 4 Halamesh - Druid Zingo - Hunter Chrysalia - Mage Dees - Rogue (may be bumped to make room for guildmate) Jaelre - Warlock Signed Up! Druid Halamesh Hunter Taurgren Tonac Zingo Khanak Mage Chrysalia Ghules Priest WTB [Priests signing up] - PST Kytae (30 minutes late) Rogue Dees Ghosa Roh Sabrianica Scryll Warlock Jaelre Warrior Relikk Tithegha Zalkul Shaman Depaa Dugand Queued signups Vrugz - Warlock (May be late)
  2. Cool! Good luck on that. I'll cancel the Thursday night ZG raids to make sure you guys have the best possible turn out. I'd like to attend, but I plan on being in AQ with Relikk and crew there. See you guys in game!
  3. This is the week in flames - just hit me up after I get moved in.
  4. Again - PST me in game and we WILL make this happen!
  5. Do you not have attunement for Molten Core, Onyxia or Black Wing Lair and want to be attuned? Then after this week it is your own fault. I am making myself available to anyone level 56 or higher who has at least the "Warlord's Command" part (beginning in Kargath) of the quest chain that gets you attuned to Onyxia's lair. I will run any amount of steps necessary to get as many people possible attuned. We will start at with the people closest to the beginning and work our way through and pick up as many steps as possible. Theoretically, it is possible to do the ENTIRE Onyxia Chain & BWL Attunement in under 4 hours, if people work together. Post here is you are NOT attuned for Onyxia and want to go. As a benefit, you also get a +15 FR Necklace with stamina, so more MC FR too. If you are attuned and not doing anything else, it would be appreciated if you could put off your own pursuits for a bit of time and chip in and help get as many of our people attuned as possible. Tonight: UBRS for eyes for Kytae, then Dragons (Somnus <port to TB>, Chronalis (Tanaris) <fly to Winterspring> Scryer) <port to TB>, then Arxtroz (spelling - Red Dragon), then Drakkisath in UBRS. Along the way we will pick up Zalkul and Halamesh who need different steps in the chain, but have agreed to help out. All the Dragons can be killed in a raid group, so if we move together, it will be a swift proposition. Couple hours at most. Who else needs attunement for Onyxia or BWL? Do you need attunment for Molten Core? Do you need to pay the tribute so you can smelt Dark Iron Ore? Do you need to visit the Bar in BRD for Thorium Brotherhood turn-ins? Starting Tuesday, this is also on the menu. Let's kick it up a notch folks! PS - Next week is Cenarion Circle Rep work - 5 days of Combat Assignments non-stop should = revered if not exalted... I'll research this to make sure, but I am almost certain that would be the case.
  6. Leaving the office now, should be home in time for pull, will need summon from UC. Sorry. Work = money, money pays for WoW, Wow = fun. Communicative property says that since Work pays for WoW and WoW is fun, then Work is fun...LIES!
  7. During my morning trolling of forums, I came across this gem. I read it a couple times, and I realize it is SPOT on. This is great information, and we should consider implementing some of it as applicable. Posted originally by: Phric, Aug 11 2006, 01:04 PM Our mages have a couple of spells that have gone under-used for a long time now. Perhaps people have been scared to use them, believing the cost outweighs the benefits, save a few special encounters. Often times that's true. But there are plenty of good uses for them as well. I think we all see the additional healing benefits in the Instructor fight. I'd like for us to discuss the possible uses for this to help the raid as a whole. The first spell is Amplify Magic: A mage talent called Magic Attunement increases these values to 112.5 damage and 225 healing. The second spell is Dampen Magic: Magic Attunement increases the values to 135 damage and 270 healing. A point to note about these spells are how they affect DoTs and HoTs: With dampen magic, enemy DoTs are calculated per tic, whereas friendly HoTs are calculated for the entire length of the spell. For example, a DoT that typically hits you for 150 damage per tic is reduced to 90 per tic with a normal dampen magic, while a HoT cast on the same person will only have 180 of the total spell's heal reduced. With Amplify, the results are the same. Any spell damage on a PC will be increased by 75 (not sure if this affects DoTs the same way) and for friendly heal spells, it increases their heals and hots by up to 150. The healing effect is basically like adding 150 or removing 180 from each healer's healing gear that is healing the affected target. The mob damage is a flat increase/reduction of spell damage. With that in mind, I'm going to list some opportunities to use these spells (copied from another forum) and ask for feedback for other possible scenarios. I would like to see all of our raiding mages to look for an opportunity to increase the use of these spells. Zul'Gurub Bloodlord Mandokir (Raptor) Only physical damage and tanks need a lot of healing. Use Amplify Magic on the tanks. Priestess Thekal (Tiger) The only magical damage is Lor'khan's lightning shield (which gets purged by Shaman anyways). Amplify Magic can be used on the whole raid except melees/tanks on Lor'khan. Use it on tanks only if you want to save time/mana. (Sabrianica Note: Since Lor'khan's Lightning Shield is being purged, the damage from the one hit that would hit that particular off-tank is out-weighed by the benefit of the extra healing. I would put it up on everyone in the raid.) Priestess Arlokk (Panther) Only physical damage. Tanks and the one that is marked need a lot of healing so Amplify Magic can be used on whole raid. Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj Trash Hive'Zara Wasps does a dot that does 146 damage every 2 secs. This is reduced by Dampen Magic with the full 90/135 and turns into a 56/11 damage dot. General Rajaxx The lieutenant general Andropov has a healing aura that heals everyone in range (that is friendly with cc) with 200 each tick. With Amplify Magic it heals for 350 each tick (425 with magic attunement). There is only one of the captains in this encounter that deals any magical damage (A lightning aoe) but the positive effect of Amplify Magic on the full raid is bigger than the extra damage from that single spell. Ossirian the Unscarred Ossirian deals only physical damage so Amplify Magic can help on tanks. Molten Core Ragnaros The sons aura only deals 1 damage with Dampen Magic. Dampen Magic also makes Ice Barrier, Fire Ward, Greater Fire Protection Potion survive longer giving more time without interrupts. Blackwing Lair Razorgore Putting Amplify Magic on Razorgore while he is mind controlled will give a nice damage increase in phase 2. (might have been nerfed in recent patches) Vaelastrasz the Corrupt Dampen Magic will make shields hold a little longer to give less interrupts. Firemaw Ice Barrier and Fire Ward together with Dampen Magic makes you almost free from interrupts until you have so many debuffs that you need to step out of los anyway. Use on yourself only Flamegor Same as firemaw but not as important if the hunters do their job well. Temple of Ahn'Qiraj Bug trio Lord Kri's dot does about 145 damage per tick. With Dampen Magic it does 55 and with magic attunement it does 10. If it stacks it does 290 damage and Dampen Magic will reduce 90/135 from that resulting in 200/155 per tick. I have used this with great success on the whole raid (except tanks) to minimize the damage to the raid. Together with good cleansing (keeping down stack count) this can reduce a great part of the damage to the raid giving healers more time to focus on tanks. Battleguard Sartura Only physical damage, Amplify Magic on all. Be ready to reamplify resurrected tanks. Fankriss Amplify Magic everyone, he and his adds do only physical damage. Naxxramas Instructor Razuvious Keep Amplify Magic up on the mind controlled adds. They take only physical damage from Razuvious so the extra healing is always nice.
  8. Give that group some practice together and we got Hakkar. I went to bed smiling!
  9. Late Night ZG Score Card: Snake: Dead, 2nd attempt* Bat: Dead, 1st Attempt Spider: Dead, 2nd Attempt** Tony: Alive Panther: Not attempted Trash Mobs: Dead WOOT! * 1st attempt involved 13 people. ** 1st attempt reset due to miscommunication.
  10. Zul'Gurub has for too long been unvisited by the Skullcrushers. The Zulian Priests grow overly confident. I propose that we venture into Zul'Gurub for a hard hitting raid - just a hit and run operation really - and remind them that the Skullcrushers are no small threat, we are a predominant threat to the faceless one. Invites start at 9pm First Pull at 9:30pm Last pull at 12:30am Want to see: 3 Warriors, at least 1 tank type 3 priests, at least 1 shadow to do DPS 4 Druids, at least one owl and one bear form. 2 Shaman 2 Rogues 3 Mages 3 Warlocks These numbers are NOT hard and fast numbers, but just what I have the best runs with. If we gete this balance, we will go for (in this order - time dependent): Bat, Snake, Spider, Tiger, Panther, Hakkar. If we make it that far, we can go back and get Jinn'do and the Bloodlord. Sabrianica will be doing the invites. Sign-up is up.
  11. Yep, just Kurrinaxx and Rajaxx. After that, you hang a right, kill about a dozen trash mobs and you are there! Also, can I have Jeroabem's attendance combined with Sabrianica's since she is my main, please? Thanks!
  12. What time is yours again? I might be able to spare Jeroabem for this, but I would need to check the balance of the raid I would be swapping him out of for my Rogue. Get back to me ASAP please Grim.
  13. Sabrianica's Note: Taurgren asked me if I knew of an easy way to level Engineering as a profession. This guide is from the Roguespot.com forums and is not my work. It is, however, quite accurate. I hope it helps someone out! Edited on 11/23/05 thanks to generous help from posters below. Okay. I decided to pick up engineering, Here's the guide that I created last night, trying to spend the least amount of gold I could. I must admit that it's about 70 gold for EVERYthing, But in the end, you'll have like 20-25 gold in your pocket. This is the Quick and Dirty way. If you can't keep up with the bill, I suggest getting mining, as it alleviates nearly 90% of your costs when you just straight mine to 300. First is the shopping list of all items I used in my powerlevel. You WILL have leftovers on most things but I padded for the unlucky. Next is the List itself. What to skill up on until the level desired. For instance, 1-40 means stop doing it when you get your 40th profession point. Next, what typically you can do with the item. Then, AHed ingredients and finally the ingredients in ONE make of the crafted item. Also, please leave comments. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Shopping list of items needed: 90 Rough Stones (AH) 80 Coarse Stones(AH) 70 Heavy Stones(AH) 90 Solid Stones(AH) 50 Dense Stones(AH) 10 Wooden Stock (EVend) 29 Weak Flux (EVend) 50 Heavy Leather(AH) 10 Wool Cloth (AH) 33 Runecloth(AH) 51 Copper Bars(AH) 10 Silver Bars(AH) 55 Bronze Bars(AH) 15(*19) Iron Bars(AH) *4 Coal (EVend) 4 Steel Bars (*get a blacksmith to make from iron and coal, MUCH cheaper.) 126 Mithril Bars *cringes, sorry.*(AH) 159 Thorium Bars *runs*(AH) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Engineering trainers are usually found in major cities. [60 Thorium Bars] (6x Thorium Bar) ---When all is said and done, it should have taken you 3-5 hours to get it all made. Grats.--- ---------------------------------------------------------------- Pick up Schematics that help out: Edit: These do not require any type of engineering to have. They are ordinary engineering schematics. "Discombulator Ray": 1.You need a DELTA ACCESS security card. It's a low % drop in gnomeregan, so getting it is the hardest part. I've found 3 off of the mobs coming from the back door. You can also find it from AH though in some cases. The important part about delta security card is that it is not BoP, so once you have gotten your schematic, sell it to someone else. 2. You must have 160 engineering. 3. Learn the schematic directly from 3500-D terminals on the way to Thermaplugg from the back door, in the engineering labs. *4. Now, I have heard also that Alliance need to have the Red Access card, as well, but I did not have it when I got the ability. "Schematics: Repair bot 74A": Learn this from a scroll on the ground next to Golem Lord Argelmach in BRD at 300 engineering. (First of all, you'll need the Shadowforge Key. 1. Take your first left, unlock the gate, run up to the gate on the right, unlock that, run up to the door on the left, unlock it. 2. Walk up to the big gear in this room, and unlock the chain. 3. Run up the ramp in this room, take the left up the stairs, then follow the hallways. You'll come to a room with about 4 fire elementals, stairs going down on the left, and a ramp going down on the right. Go right. 4. Ahead of you will be many non-elite gnomes and elite elementals standing around. Go straight down from the ramp until you come to a room with a named, and two elementals guarding him. 5. The plans are to your right.) It takes 12 Thorium Bars, 4 Rugged Leather, 1 Fused Wiring, 2 Elemental Earth, and 1 Elemental Fire. It has only 1 charge before it is expended. Not cheap. ---------------------------------------------------------------- ---Types of Artisan Engineering--- Edit: There are three types of engineering. Goblin, Gnomish and regular Artisan engineering. Unless an engineering item SPECIFICALLY states that it needs "Goblin Engineering (x)" or "Gnomish Engineering (x)" it is free for anyone to use. This means that Gnomish can use Goblin Jumper Cables XL and gnomes make whatever they make (d'oh, you'd think I'd remember what gnomes make with 300 gnomish) and share them with the Goblin engineers. Just check thottbot or wherever to be sure. There is a quest starter for Artisan; (Tinkerwiz in Ratchet (observatory) for Horde, and Lilliam Sparkspindle in Stormwind for Alliance.) The Master Gnome engineer is in Booty Bay. The Master Goblin engineer is in Gadgetzan. These trainers will give you a task to complete to join that society. Note that you don't need to choose either, as it is not linked to learning artisan engineering at level 35 at all. For your Goblin engineering quest: 20 Big Iron Bombs (190) (3x Iron Bar 3x Heavy Blasting Powder 1x Silver Contact) 20 Solid Dynamite (175) (1x Solid Blasting Powder 1x Silk Cloth) 5 Explosive Sheep (150) (1x Bronze Framework 1x Whirring Bronze Gizmo 2x Heavy Blasting Powder 2x Wool Cloth) For your Gnome engineering quest: 6 Mithril Tubes (195) (3x Mithril Bar) 1 Accurate Scope (180) (1x Bronze Tube 1x Jade 1x Citrine) 2 Advanced Target Dummies (185) (1x Iron Strut 1x Bronze Framework 1x Gyrochronatom 4x Heavy Leather) Goblin is the realm of BOOM. You get a wider variety of and more powerful explosives. Unfortunately the dragon gun and the mortar still trigger the shared explosive reuse timer, though they are on seperate cooldowns. Goblin engineering produces the following: 1) (205) Goblin mining hat (AC 190, +15 sta, +5 mining, mail armor, BoP) (You no take candle!) 2) (205) Goblin construction hat (AC 44, +15 fire resist, cloth, BoP) Use: absorb 300 to 500 fire damage for 1 minute. 3) (205) Goblin sapper charge (explosive, limited use) Damage enemies around you for a lot while damaging you for slightly less. 4) (205) Goblin Rocket Fuel recipe (creates a recipe) create recipes for alchemists, who in turn can supply you with goblin rocket fuel, necessary for some schematics. 5) (205) Goblin Mortar (explosive, 6 uses) Has a minimum and maximum range. Binds on equip, so you can recharge your own mortar (using the Mortar: Reloaded schematic gained at the same time) for significantly fewer resources than a new mortar, but cannot recharge anyone elses as it is soulbound to them. Also worth noting is that this item apparently still causes a "stun" effect instead of a "disorient" effect, which is somewhat more useful. However, the radius is smaller than listed, probably 6 yards instead of 10. 6) (225) Goblin Rocket Boots (AC 41, cloth) These boots are one of the few items usable by those without the engineering skill. They allow fast running for a short period of time, but are prone to explosion. 7) (230) Goblin Bomb Dispenser (trinket, BoP) Can create one bomb that behaves as an exploding sheep, every 30 minutes. 8) (235) The Big One (explosive, 2 uses) A massive bomb that deals high damage in a huge radius. Has a longer than usual activation time. 9) (240) Goblin Dragon Gun (trinket, BoP) A 10-second channel creates a cone of flame that deals damage each second. 10(?)) (245) Goblin Rocket Helmet (AC 50, +15 sta, cloth) Allows you to charge an enemy, knocking it unconscious for 30 seconds and yourself for less time. Damage ends the effect. Gnomish is the realm of devices. Trinkets for every occasion. If you are satisfied with the amount of explosives from standard engineering, go gnomish for utility. Gnomish engineering produces the following: 1) (205) Gnomish Shrink Ray (trinket) temporarily reduces target's attack power by 250. this can also backfire on the user, causing them to shrink or grow. 2) (205) Inlaid mithril cylinder plans (creates a recipe) creates plans for blacksmiths, who in turn can provide you with mithril cylinders, necessary for some schematics. 3) (210) Gnomish Goggles (AC 45, +9 agi, +9 sta, +9 spi, cloth, BoP) goggles with agility 4) (210) Gnomish Net-O-Matic Projector (trinket) Roots target for 10 seconds, 10 minute cooldown. Can backfire and root the user instead. 5) (215) Gnomish Harm Prevention belt (AC 66, +6 sta, leather) Use: blocks 500 damage over the next minute, but can also temporarily remove the user from reality. 6) (225) Gnomish rocket boots (AC 41, cloth) requires engineering to use, but cannot be destroyed like the goblin version. 7) (230) Gnomish Battle Chicken (trinket, BoP) summons a combat chicken for 90 seconds. 30 minute cooldown. 8) (235) Gnomish mind control cap (AC 50, +14 spi, cloth) allows mind control of your target for a short time. 9) (240) Gnomish death ray (trinket, BoP) a 4-second channel deals damage to you each second, and then releases more than the total amount at your target. Aggros as you start channeling. Those are the big differences I know of. It's purely a matter of preference. Keep in mind that aside from the ones that are Bind of Pickup, you can trade/buy to get most of the other's products! ---------------------------------------------------------------- That's it, you should be 300 when reading this little section. Props to Thottbot, Auction House, and ideas given by various forums. Good luck to you, you'll probably need it after this faq drains your wallet. ^_^
  14. Is that 1h or 2h? I know it seems like a stupid question after more than 2 years, but... AND - can you do the +7 Agility to gloves? (3 Lesser Eternal Essences, 3 Illusion Dust)
  15. Again, this post was not directed at anyone who has the ability to read this post. The people in Maube's raid are excellent people, laid back, there to have fun and get-er-dun. This was directed at the priest who didnt cast ANYTHING from Mags through Golemagg and the mage who went AFK for 25 minutes after Shazzrah and basically fooked us. WTB [People who play] for the core. PST pricing and availability please. Thanks.
  16. Just a general gripe, no one here guilty - please DON'T do it without letting your raid leader know. It's inconsiderate that you should get DKP and drops if you aren't in there putting out the effort. AND - if you have mana - use it. General gripe, not aimed anywhere near anyone who can read this. Sabrianica
  17. Warlord's Command - Obtained in Kargath - LBRS: Objectives - Kill Omokk, Voone and Wyrmthalak and obtain important documents. Then you go talk to some guy in Thrall's chambers and then Thrall himself. False Warchief - Obtained from Thrall - UBRS: Objective - Kill Rend. You get a cool reward in Ogrimmar and then Thrall sends you to Desolace to find Rexxar Champion of the Horde - Obtained from Thrall - Desolace to Feralas: Objective - Find and talk to Rexxar. He patrols Desolace from the entrace from Stonetalon to the northern end of Feralas along the main road, across the north part of Ghost Walker Outpost, through the coven and into Feralas. He's easy to find, just hasa long path. Occulus Occlusions - Obtained from Rexxar - Desolace and Feralas: Objective Speak to the Hag in WPL on the Chill Wind Camp side of Andorhal who will send you back to UBRS to collect 20 Dragonspawn Eyes. She gives you a necklace and then you go fool the black dragonflight champion into giving you the test of skulls. Test of Skulls: Somnus - Swamp of Sorrows, Green Elite 61 Dragon Test of Skulls: Scyer - Winterspring, Blue Elite 60 Dragon Test of Skulls: Chronalis - Tanaris, Bronze Elite 60 Dragon Basically go and kill these guys. NOTE: These dragons CAN be killed for quest credit in raids up to 10 people as of 1.10. That's when I did the quest with Jeroabem. I didn't read anything in the patch notes that indicates that this has changed since then. The best order is Somnus, fly to Booty Bay, boat to Ratchet, fly to Tanaris, kill Chronalis, fly to Winterspring, kill Scryer, fly to Dustwallow Marsh turn in the quests. Test of Skulls: Arxtroz (spelling?) - Wetlands, Red Elite 61 Dragon - FIVE MAN ONLY Return to Dustwallow Marsh, turn it in, get the Blood of the Black Dragon Champion (Drakkisath) via Rexxar in Desolace/Feralas. Go kill Drak, get the blood, go back to Rexxar, get your pendant. Go kill Onyxia, get purple stuff and an Onyxia Hide Pack. The reason the test of skulls (except red) parts can be done in raids is the sheer amount of steps that the Horde has to complete compared with what the Alliance has to go through. Sabrianica still needs her Shadowcraft Gloves which drop off of an additional boss in the general vicinity of Voone, so I would be more than happy to bring her along for anyone who needs the LBRS section. After killing Vosh'Gajin, I can swap over to Jeroabem if he is needed.
  18. Jeroabem - Turning in her head. Sabrianica - Red Dragon needs to be killed, then Drak.
  19. I second the request and move that the proposed channel be "CSCOOC".
  20. My hug crits you for 10k. You gain a spirit and stamina buff. You are also temporarily invincible.
  21. Your complaint is fully resisted. I seem to recall asking you, as early as yesterday afternoon, if you wanted to do some dungeons and when would be a good time to do them with you! =P He didn't mention the three Righteous Orbs and 7 Shards we pulled on the run either - I sent my Orb to Raeda for her Axe.
