  1. Skullcrushers Deadly Dozen How does it work? I'm proud of the fact that I was the #4 Undead on the list for the month of June with only two-three weeks of PvP on my Rogue, and being the competitive, powergaming, epeener that I am (The truth WILL set you free), I wanna get on the list for this on a monthly basis. So, how does it tally? Is it rank? HKs? CPs? Month-to-month computation of all of the above?
  2. "I'm young, I know, but I have been given this task. Let's talk inside your tent here, where less prying eyes can see, and then maybe you can help me figure out how to go to the Chief with this." They head inside the tent and Sabrianica recounts how she met the CI operative from the Deatstalkers, the scroll from Varimathras and then the mission to Assassinate Mathias Shaw. She unrolled the maps of Stormwind and began studying them closely. "I don't know how accurate these are, or if they are even recent or not. Intelligence that far south is...spotty at best. We think Mathias is here (Pointing to a section of the old town area in Stormwind), relativeely close to the Officers Barracks. But again, we are just not sure. I was thinking of going in this route (Sabrianica traces a route on one of the maps through the Trade District, out into the canals and finally back into the Old town) using the canals to swim in as close as I could get. What do you think?"
  3. They share the same cooldown, yes, but they are in his inventory and there for use. He can alternate them with potions if healing is getting weak. While not mandatory, they would help.
  4. "ey deadie!" the voice called. "What's that gleam in yer eye? Ya look like ya've got blood on the brain!" Sabrianica turned and saw the Rogue sitting infront of the tent that had recently been unoocupied. He wore the tabard, so he was kinsmen, but she didn't know him yet. "You seen the Cheiftain? I have my orders from Varimathras and I need some advice. Might even need your help too. Need to talk to her first." was all she said as she scanned the camp.
  5. 'FOR THE HORDE' was the cry of the battlemaster at Warsong Gulch as Sabrianica handed over a handful of the tokens of her victory over the Alliance there. Turning, she noticed something moving in the brush out of the corner of her eyes. "Alert the guards, Battlemaster, we have a guest," Sabrianica whispered as she vanished from sight. Yells of battle preparation mounted inside the camp providing a distraction as she circled around the camp to the brush where she had spotted her quarry. Moving cautiously, silently and deliberately, Sabrianica moved up to the bush. She examined it for any sign of the living or scourge. It took her a moment, but she caught the scent of undeath from the bush. Eventually her scrutiny paid off when she was able to pierce the camoflauge so expertly appplied. Silently slipping her Widowmaker from it's sheathe, she slid in on her prey until the dagger was pressing into what was left of the spine of this target. With lightning quickness, her foe whirled on her, drawing a dagger she was unfamiliar with and holding it in a typically defensive posture. Sabrianica parried the lunge and moved to riposte, a move capable disarming her foe, but was dodged. She threw a blinding powder into the face of her foe and was surprised to see it had no effect. Even more so, she was surprised when the opponent spoke. "Varimathras was correct in recruiting you into the Deathstalkers, Sabrianica." "Who are you? What are you doing here?" "My name is Haran, and I too am a Deathstalker. I am in counter-intelligence, which is why we have never met before now since you are in Assassination. I have been sent here in response to your latest reports and to bring you your next mission. Trust me, you are not yet ready for it, but you must begin your preparations. First, let me cancel this alarm you have raised." Haran stood up and walked over to the Battlemaster. They spoke briefly and both looked over at the young rogue. The Battlemaster erupted into laughter at something said. Again, the yell of 'FOR THE HORDE' erupted from his mouth and the camp quickly resumed it's normal laborioous pace. Haran returned and began laying out several maps on the ground beside the pair. He had a sealed scroll which he handed to Sabrianica. "I have no idea what that says, but it was handed to me by the Dreadlord himself. I was ordered to order you to read it before we go over these maps." Sabrianica opened the scroll, and found it written in blood on human skin. Typical of the Dreadlord, it allowed him to ensure that only the person who he intended the message for would be able to read it. "Sabrianica, still you presume to be equal to me in necessity to the Queen, yet we both know how futile that thinking is. Your skills, however, have greatly improved since your novice appearance before me so long ago. Successfully you have removed threats to the Queen and the Forsaken. You have quietly gained a name for yourself as a reliable assassin, capable of getting whatever needs to be accomplished done. In recent times, the human faction of the Alliance intelligence apparatus known as SI:7 has become aware of our presence. Recent assaults on the undercity seem to be based on intelligence gathered by SI:7 operatives. While they have been unsuccessful as of late, they grow bolder and more brazen in each attempt. We wish to correct that attitude, and thus you are called upon. Here then, is your final task and test in your training. I, and thus your Queen, want you to enter into the stronghold of the human race, that bastion of stone known as Stormwind and enter the headquarters of SI:7 and decapitate their leadership. You are authorized by this order to assassinate the leader of the SI:7, one Mathias Shaw. Haran will provide you with the most recent maps we have available of the city and region, as well as the probable locations of the target. Further, the Queen is desirous of improving relations with those you have aligned yourself with. This Clan Skullcrusher has shown itself to be a fierce group of warriors and the Queen feels that being in their good graces will somehow benefit all forsaken. Therefore, you are further ordered to enlist up to two of their numbers who can accompany you undetected into Stormwind. They are to witness your assassination and report to me that you have fulfilled your duty." "Here are your maps, as ordered by the Dreadlord. Do not fail in your mission, whatever it is young Rogue." Haran said as he vanished. Sabrianica sat there for a moment and then collected up the maps and her orders. This would take some careful planning. She called her mount, Destiny, from where she was idly waiting and mounted to ride to the base camp. She was not scared, she had faced tough missions before. Being new in the clan, however, she was uncertain how she should proceed and the short trip from the Warsong Lumber Camp to the Clan's base camp did not give her much time to consider. Pulling up hard, she dismounted and dismissed the mount. She donned her tabard and began scanning the camp for signs of the Cheiftain. Being forsaken like herself, Sabrianica counted on Maube being able to offer some perspective and advice on who to speak with from the clan concerning the mission she had been given. (Anyone who is in camp saw Sabrianica ride in (or will arrive in camp shortly) and is welcome to write yourself in. I plan on eventually heading into Stormwind and assassinating Mathias Shaw (not a DK, nor an elite) as the leader of a rival intelligence agency. I would like to have two others with me who can witness the attack - Rogues or Druids. If you are interested in going along, please let me know in-game or here. I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed posting it. Please use italics for anything written and blue italics for anything OOC. Thanks!)
  6. It's solid, and bears some (a very small - i.e. Kiting in a general direction) semblence to what we will need to be able to do in the first pull in BWL...
  7. Dude. Wow. Sorry to hear about the accident and very, very relieved to hear that everyone is ok. Shaken up, but ok. ::sends out good vibes/mojo/prayers::
  8. I made a Druid to be a Feral Tank type to help out in Dungeons, and I am guessing with this build. I was wondering if someone could (who is a feral type druid) look into it and tell me what they would change and why. Thanks
  9. Rhoach = lucky farmer? Five words: ALCOR'S SUNRAZOR and SCARLET KRIS!!!
  10. I found this while surfing, and thought it would help out! - Jeroabem Combat Strategy Fire resistance is key to surviving his attacks. Your MT should have at least 300 (315 is recommended with buffs) fire resistance. Any melee classes should have at least 200. Any other class should have at the very least 100 (unbuffed), or they won't be around very long. In each case, more fire resistance is better. Everyone in the raid should use anywhere from 1-3 fire protection potions during the fight to stay alive. Preferred a few seconds before the sons of flame spawn. First one before Ragnaros is summoned, second one when everyone converges. All ranged DPS (Mages, Hunters, Warlocks) should keep in mind that it is impossible for them to pull aggro from the MT. Ragnaros will always attack players who are in melee range first, regardless of their position on his hatelist. ( So don't hold back on DPS ) Ragnaros FR HINT: Head your raid (up to 10 players at time) to LBRS and Mind Control one or more Scarshield Spellbinders (you can find them just at the entrance under the bridge), at this point provide all players with his +83 Fire resistance buff. The buff lasts 60 Minutes, and is on a 30 second cooldown. Set Up: All melee and close support need to be on the inner ring engaging Ragnaros while he is up. All the healers and ranged support should be on the secondary ring away from Ragnaros. They must also stay away from the lava flows or they will be affected by the lava splashes. Also all players should spread out so that they are not knocked back and damaged when Ragnaros uses his ranged knock back ability. This means that melee should be around Ragnaros generally on the south, west and north parts of the inner ring, and the ranged is on the south and west portions of the outer ring. There are small patches of wall on the outer rings that, when stood directly against will usually prevent Ragnros's random fireballs from knocking you back. 20 seconds before Ragnaros Submerges and spawns Sons of Flame, all melee (With the exception of the main tank, who should stay in melee until Ragnaros submerges to prevent him from magma blasting) should collapse to the southern lip of the outer ring, as to be ready to handle the sons when they spawn. Mages should already be positioned at the collapse point. Mages should conserve their mana so that they have at least 50% left when the first wave of sons spawns. There are varying strategies on how Ragnaros is to be handled. Some groups go all out damage, getting him down to 30%-40% before the first wave of sons, to be able to kill him before the second. This strategy tends to make for far more casualties, and makes players less likely to survive the sons. The alternative is winning the fight through endurance, rather then all out DPS. All players must make it a priority to keep themselves alive through 2 waves of sons, after which Ragnaros is an easy kill. This puts less stress on the casters and healers. The priority for an endurance fight is not doing damage, it is keeping the entire raid alive, so that the Sons can be accomplished with minimal deaths. There should be no, or at least very few deaths outside of the Sons.By the time the sons spawn, the group should have collapsed to the ring south of Ragnaros. Mana users should be at the very endge of the ring, as to avoid the Son's massaive mana burn aura. Tanks should form a wall in front of the casters and group taunt, mages should then frost nova them in place and AoE them down. Ragnaros will spawn the second all the sons are dead, so it helps to keep one son at very low health chain banished until Ragnaros emerges on his own, to give the raid time to regenerate. Lastly, from the time you get Domo to summon Ragnaros you have 2 hours to defeat him, after which he submerges. Majordomo Executus will respawn within 2 to 3 hours. Stage 1: Have your MTs run in and attack, and have all your melee-ers and ranged DPS-ers assist. You have 3 minutes to get Ragnaros' health down as much as possible (The goal is 40% or less, the record I have seen is 31%). Ragnaros will shoot random explosions that knock people into the air (often into the lava) and do a lot of damage, so healers need to be on their toes. Ragnaros also has an AoE knockback ability that he does every 25 seconds. All melee classes except MTs should back out before this happens and then re-engage immediately afterwards. Stage 2: Ragnaros submerges and 8 "Sons of Flame" come out. They do purely fire-based damage and have an AoE mana burn, so you need to keep them away from your mana-users.The sons spawn from around the spiral that Ragnaros is along the west, north and east side, and then rush south to meet the raid. The sons damage is entirely fire based, so with decent fire resistance you will take very little damage from them. Control them with warriors, mage frost novas, mage blizzard, perhaps bear tanks, hunter freezing traps and kill them all ( do not banish, there is not enough time. Some guilds do banish once however. ) The Sons should be tanked and banished while one is being dealt with. It is important to always have at least one that is not banished at a time, as sometimes when all the remaining live sons are banished (or otherwise incapacitated) Ragnaros will re-appear. If this happens you are very likely looking at a wipe. Also you must deal with the Sons quickly as Ragnaros will surface after 1 1/2 minutes whether they are dead or not. To accomplish this everyone MUST be assisting one person that is picking targets. If attacks are spread out they will take to long to kill. With all DPS on one Son you should be aiming to drop one every 10 seconds or less. Ragnaros will come back after 90 seconds or when all sons are dead, whichever happens first. When you are nearing the 90 second point in the fight it is critical that you send the main tank, secondary tank and their healers back to engage Ragnaros when he re-enters combat. If the tank is not there Ragnaros will start throwing Magma blasts. Once the rest of the group has killed any remaining sons they should re-enter combat with Ragnaros. Stage 3: Same as phase one. You have 3 more minutes before he submerges again for another minute-and-a-half session with the Sons of Flame. Generally, you want to kill him before the Sons spawn again or else you will probably die. If you don't get him to at least 40% HP before the end of Stage 1, then you probably won't accomplish this goal.
  11. Sneak Peek This is coming out with cross-server Battlegrounds? Can you imagine the people screaming, across all the realms, "What the heck? Where did that Rogue come from?!" The way it reads to me is that the viability of a combat-centric Rogue in PvP just went through the roof! Personally, I'll probably go with a blend of Assassination and Combat Talents, like I am planning now, but the idea of a Combat/Subtlety might be kind of kinky too. I reserve the right to place judgement and make a decision until a new talent calculator is posted. My questions to Drysc would be: Improved Sprint has been changed, and will instead have a 50/100% chance to remove all movement impairing effects when you activate your Sprint ability. This talent no longer reduces the cooldown of Sprint" Hmm...Imp Sprint as a 2 Point option? "Improved Kidney Shot has been changed, and will instead increase the damage taken by the target while they are affected by Kidney Shot. This talent no longer reduces the cooldown of Kidney Shot." Hmm...does the new Imp Kidney Shot stack with Hemo? "New talent Weapon Expertise in the Combat tree, increases your weapon skill with all melee weapons. The recovery of damage with an increased weapon skill should be a good boost to overall output." How deep in the tree is this one being placed and will it interfere with being able to have a viably blended talent spec like what we can have now? "New talent Heightened Senses in the subtlety tree, increases your Stealth detection, and reduces the chance for you to be hit by spells and ranged attacks." Is this replacing Rapid Concealment? That's it for me right now!
  12. I forgot I had promised to help a friend get her ZG raid started up this week. I'm soirry for the late notice. Nevermind...her's fell apart faster than a Seattle Mariner's winning streak.
  13. I borrowed this from the Roguespot Forums because I wanted to show how insanely easy it is in order to get your first epic. My Rogue is level 49 and at the time I am posting this, I have all of the plumes I will need and just about half of the Thorium Widgets (I'm an engineer). By the time I am 60, I should have the rest of the Widgets. This post was mainly compiled by "Cerias Shadows" who admins the Roguespot Forums. I have edited a couple things to make it easier to read, but the numbers remain the same. For the original post which I used for this post, please click HERE. Ok with Darkmoon Faire in town and restoration of the valuable 1200 ticket neck to epic quality post 1.7 I felt it was time to write a quick FAQ to help people here. First of all the rewards: Amulet of the Darkmoon Binds when picked up Neck +10 Strength +19 Agility +10 Stamina Requires Level 60 Sells for 2 Gold 50 Silver to vendors Item Level 65 Source: Quest (Better than onyxia's pendant for all but hunters.) Orb of the Darkmoon Binds when picked up Neck +11 Stamina +8 Spirit Requires Level 60 Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 22. Sells for 2 Gold 50 Silver to vendors Item Level 65 (You are looking at end-game MC/BWL stuff to beat that quality.) You'll need 1200 tickets to purchase these. Now here is the rub, as your rep goes up with Darkmoon Faire Faction you are constricted in regards to what you can cash in to gain tickets, hence manipualting the system is of the highest priority. First thing is first, IF YOU HAVE A DARKMOON DECK TO CASH IN AND WANT TO GET THE NECKLACE TOO PLEASE REFRAIN FROM CASHING IT (THE DECK) IN UNTIL YOU HAVE ACCQUIRED THE NECKLACE FIRST. Cashing in your deck will earn you 150 rep, effectively eating 24 potential tickets if you do this before you reach 2.5k reputation point in neutral. Ok here is how you can go about getting rep: Profession turn-ins or hunting. For the first part I'm going to SERIOUSLY reccomend you get to 2.5k rep via the wonder of hunting. In Alterac Valley & Northern Feralas there are plenty of Harpies(lvl 51-54 in AV, lvl 48-50 in Feralas) which have around a 25% drop rate on Vibrant Plumes, they stack in stacks of 10. These plumes you can cash in 5 at a time for 100 rep and 12 tickets. This means you will want to farm 130 Vibrant Plumes and cash these in. This will earn you 312 Darkmoon tickets, 25% of the way towards your necklace. On top of that these mobs drop a lot of cloth and wicked claws and pots. Very Handy indeed, very Easy to Farm. (SABRIANICA'S NOTE: I farmed these up from level 45 up to level 49, making sure I had a bunch of rested XP as well. It took me about a grand total of 12-14 hours of farming at the mob level in order to get them all. I received a donation of 6 plumes from a friend, so add another 20-30 minutes of grinding in Feralas. Also, you are not flagged here, so you don't get the down time you would experience inside AV if you grind there, plus you don't have to wait for Feralas to open up! ) Now, the last 900 tickets are the tricky part. You have 4 options: 450 Evil Bat eyes from Eastern Plagueland mob grinding. 270 Thorium Widgets if you have Engineering as a profession. 360 Dense Grinding Stones if you have Blacksmithing as a profession. 360 Rugged kits if you have leatherworking as a profession. You need 10 bat eyes/6 widgets/8 dense grinding stones/8 rugged armor kits per turn-in for 20 tickets. Therefore; 450 Evil Bat eyes(roughly a 2% drop rate off of bats in EPL and the worst mobs to farm) 810(40 and a half stacks) Thorium Bars + 270(13 and a half stacks) Runecloth 1600 (80 Stacks) Dense Stone 1600(160 stacks) Rugged Leather Is required to achieve your 900 tickets to reach the magic 1200 total. You can only turn-in Widgets/Kits/Grinding Stone if you have the respective profession at least at journeyman (50/150 skill). Thus if you are an enchanter/tailor, you have my deepest sympathies. If you want or can, you can merely seek to buy the remaining mats needed instead of grind, at assumed prices of 3g per stack of thorium, 1.5g per stack of runecloth, 2g per stack of dense stone, 1g per stack of rugged leather during non faire times, you are looking at paying between 142g to 160g for your 900 tickets, Cheap for an epic of such quality. The faire sets up in Elwynn and Mulgore on Alternate Months, it sets up on the First Friday of each Month, with it being usable by the following Monday after that Friday if you need to know when the Faire will be up. (SABRIANICA'S NOTE: I know that this sounds like a lot of work, but it really isn't. Getting these together (as an Engineer) is a lot easier than grinding up the reputation required to get the WSG revered weapons, and is certainly taking up less time. The 140 Thorium Widgets I have are partly why I am at a 300/300 in Engineering at the moment. After I level out, I plan on grinding out more plumes for the guild bank for anyone else who would like to get the necklace. I will also post whether or not the method here proved 100% accurate. It is (and has been) posted on a high-traffic website related to WoW, so I am fairly certain it's got to be dead-on accurate.)
  14. Roguespot is a great resource for all things Rogue. It has guides that cover just about anything you would want to know. The members are active and intelligent. They debate fiercely. Since I joined around my 41st season, I have learned so much about how to be a rogue that the difference in my play is just plain scary. As far as weapons, if you PvP and get the rep, I'd recommend a Scout Blade (level 58) and a Glacial Blade (level 60). Both are considered to be the best pre-epic daggers for most Rogue builds, and I plan on having both for when I respec into a Combat: Daggers build. As far as MH/OH - the debate could go forever, but I like faster daggers in my mainhand due to poison application. Since they are so close in speed, I would probably (and most likely will) go GB main and SB offhand (see stats below). There are a lot of other Daggers to choose from (non-epics) that are drops, such as the Bonescraper (UD Strat from the Baron), the Barman Shanker (BRD) and the Ravenholdt Slicer from the Perfect Poison Quest in AQ20 and ZG. Glacial Blade Binds when picked up Unique One-Hand Dagger 53 - 100 Damage Speed 1.80 (42.5 damage per second) +10 Agility Durability 65 / 65 Requires Level 60 Chance on hit: Blasts a target for 45 Frost damage. Sells for 6 Gold 30 Silver 65 Copper to vendors Item Level 65 Alterac Valley Vendor sells based on rep (Revered...maybe honored?) Scout's Blade Binds when picked up Unique One-Hand Dagger 49 - 92 Damage Speed 1.70 (41.5 damage per second) +13 Agility +5 Stamina Durability 65 / 65 Requires Level 58 Sells for 5 Gold 95 Silver 34 Copper to vendors Item Level 63 Warsong Gulch Vendor sells based on rep (Revered) Hope this helps somehow!
  15. With the exception of Fomor (NOT starting an argument or encouragement), I believe that everyone has CTRA set up on the system they are using. If they go into the settings, they can set it up so that the game notifies them when they have "stolen" or "gained" the aggro of Shazzrah - and can even choose to play a very annoying, very distinctive sound that will be louder than the sound of battle around them. If this happens to you - RUN TO THE MIDDLE. Every time Shazzrah blinks, DPS should be stopping anyways (proximity and aggrowipe), meaning that Greenbull and/or Alhazad should have no need to run. They will, they are both good tanks, but if the people with CTRA set up the notification and have the "Target's Target" option selected, there should be someway to manage this. Shazzrah is easy, and all that is needed from what I saw was a little practice there. It would just be less sloppy. Continuing: Golemagg: Perfect fight. The only suggestion I have is that the tank with the puppy to the left should pull it a little further up the hill, almost to the bend as we head up to Domo. This allows Golemagg to be fought a little further uphill, and gives the crowd control aspect of this fight a little more time just in case a puppy or Golemagg gets a little loose. Domo: Practice will make perfect. Hopefully Feoler was able to explain to our fearless (and highly competent) leader the "Pull-Counterpull" aspect of the Domo fight, including placement. The 1-4-3 strategy is the best method I have seen yet for handling this fight, and the P-CP makes it much easier to separate the healers and first elite from the last three elites to die. It also makes it a lot easier to condense and focus the Raid's DPS if everyone is in the same location except for the three tank and healing groups on the last three elites. Ragnaros: Practice will make perfect. Hopefully Feoler was able to explain to our fearless (and highly competent) leader where the ranged DPS group was supposed to set up as I apparently had us spread too far around the outer ring. Granted, we did this without any Fire Resistance, Buffs or Potions. Some things that will help (which would require a couple people to respec) would be: Getting at least one 1320 and 1440 Healthstone Warlock into the raid. The MT could carry the 1200, 1320 and 1440 all at the same time. It's not necessary, but it would help. Getting people farming up materials for Greater Fire Protection Potions. The materials needed per potion are: 1 Elemental Fire (Fire elementals in Un'Goro and Hammerfall) 1 Dreamfoil (Not sure where, but I think Azshara and Winterspring...maybe Felwood) 1 Crystal Vial The raid will need 2 per person, per attempt, per week until most of the raid is into full tier 1 gear and MC weaponry. The potions are taken just before the rogue summons Ragnaros and just as you all converge for dealing with the Sons of Ragnaros. Also note, when you make a second attempt at Ragnaros, you need to be very, very careful of your proximity to Ragnaros. He has a very, very large aggro radius. Melee people need to RP walk as close to the edge of the inner ring as possible until they are in position. Ranged people need to get into position as far out of range as they possibly can. It might be best to group up just outside the entrance to his chambers for rebuffing so that people can get into position buffed incase he gets aggro'd early. Overall, I would say that this raid has a very, very solid foundation. Some aspects of the raid, such as the chain-pulling and healing rotation are great and other raids dont do that. The fact that 28 or 29 people took out Lucifron was amazing. The way the raid pulled together and dropped Domo on the second attempt, using a new strategy was impressive. The fact that Ragnaros was down to 61% without any potions or buffs was incredible. The success of this raid is definitely apparent in the members of the raid. They relax, have fun in the core, but they also get the job done. I hope to earn my place among you guys there. I need to run with BBQ a few more weeks because I am pretty close to getting the Onyxia Head Quest due to my LDKP, and I would like to get my DKP balance back to 0 with them (currently in the hole). My opinion was not solicited and is not necessarily a correct interpretation. Please don't think I am criticizing or condemning your raid or the way you run it. I tend to be a little outspoken, and I wanted to offer my perspective from what I saw as I ran. If what is done in the raid works, there is no reason to change it (the old "if it aint broke..." axiom.) Thanks Maube for letting me tag along, for putting up with my Hank Hill, and for letting me speak my mind. Much appreciated.
  16. Are they still available for purchase?
  17. Sent a Schematic: Delicate Arcanite Converter and an Essence of Fire in to the Bank this morning.
  18. Hearing the whoop of the Chieftan, Sabrianica literally crawled out from under the log where she had spent the night reveiwing the latest reports sent to and from the Deathstalkers concerning recent Alliance activity in the Warsong Gulch. She brushed off as much of the dirt as she could, and pulled the freshly laundered guild tabard that an elder had presented her last night from her pack and put it on before walking into the camp to find out about the ruckus being raised. Spotting the figure of the running Cheiftan, Sabrianica immediately blended into the local terrain, anticipating an attack. She scanned the area, stealthing in and around the tents, looking for whatever may have triggered this response. Noticing the sign in the mud, she comes out of stealth, picks it up and heads to where Maube is attempting to rouse some of the slumbering clansmen. "Hey there Chief. What'ss the meaning of thissss sign being in the mud? What'ssss the ruckuss all about, and have you sseen the latesst reportsss from Varimathrass consserning Alliansse activity in Warsssong?" Maube looked at Sabrianica and laughed before responding to the young, sometimes over-eager Rogue. (Hope you don't mind that I wrote your character in like this Maube. And one of the Elders gave me permission to wear the colors in game earlier today, I'll edit this when I get home and put his name in. Sabrianica also has a lisp due to missing part of her jaw.)
  19. Black Dragonscale Shoulders /w +5 Argent Dawn Revered FR enchant (+11) Black Dragonscale Leggings (+13) Black Dragonscale Breastplate (+12) Flamewalkers (+18) Molten Fists (+10) Pyremail Wristguards of the Owl (+10) Earthfury Belt (+7) Onyxia Scale Cloak /w +15 FR (+31) Drakefire Amulet (+15) Tidal Loop (+15) Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas (+10) and one other ring (green) that grants +19 Fire Resist I also have 3/3 in Elemental Warding which reduces damage taken by Fire, Frost, Nature spells and effects by 10%. Total: 171 unbuffed in full FR. +252 with LBRS buff. +326 with LBRS and FR Totem. I have been tinkering with my gear and have lately been dropping the rings in favor of more stamina and +AP/Melee Crit rings (Painweaver or Seal of Jin). I usually go into the Melee area with +250 before my totem just in case I forget to drop it in the fight...I try not to get other people knocked back with me. I would like get a pair of Black Dragonscale Boots (+24) crafted so I can swap out my FR only ring and the Flamewalkers for more DPS when in Fire Resistance Gear, in addition to more stamina. (would wear Seal of Jin or Band of Flesh). Also, would grant a +10 FR for a set bonus since I have the other pieces already. Getting the scales is easy (my brother has them) as is the Enchanted Leather (he can make it for me). I just need to get the Lava and Fiery Cores (3 and 4 of each, respectively) made. The thing here is that my AP would go up more allowing me to do more damage while DPSing in FR gear. When I finally get Finkle's Lava Dredger from Domo, that would add another +15 as well. This would change my stats to a grand total of: 183 unbuffed, +264 with LBRS Buff, +338 with LBRS buff and FR Totem. (which would be too much FR! )
  20. ...A step further is having a big basin of warm water and you wash her feet off before massaging and painting them. Talk dropping aggro and gaining faction... and, when I was feeling up to it back in the day... Targetted Mob <Wife, level 29> would enter into aggro range in the <Home> Zone, I'd apply the following macro: /say "Hey honey, how was your day?" /cast <Show genuine interest level3> /say "wow, really? It's a good thing I have dinner started, we're having </cast cook good food>" /say "Why don't you go relax in the tub?" (Earlier I had cast "<Draw hot bubblebath, place scented oils in water and lit scented candles>. Optional music was available too) 15 minutes later, go into the bathroom with glass of wine and re-cast <Show genuine interest level3> while reminding <Wife, level 29> of dinner being ready in <amount of casting time left>. After dinner, served at the dinner table, offer back-rub. Usually declined and was instead given the quest reward: "You've been so sweet, go play your warcraft game" only to be interrupted by a newer quest "Tumbling"...if you follow me. ...and I can cook some food. My momma made sure of that. And I know how and when to be romantic, my daddy made sure of that. If you want some RL 30-45 minute meals (not just single item recipes) that will seriously compete with dinners at like Applebee's or the Olive Garden, let me know what you like to eat and I will come up with some plans for you. You only need to have one or two operable synapses and the ability to read in order to make them work. Gorrin, the ones that are stamped "Made in China" don't count as real wives...
  21. As soon as my mom's Rhubarb is ripe, more than likely. I use Pineapple in mine, though, to increase the tart to the pie. Question, with or without Vanilla Ice Cream when served fresh out of the oven? Bull....oney. People don't start talking about pie and there will be indifference, requirements and blame laid hard, fast, and spread thickly with a mason's trowel!
  22. Does no one in this thread like pie!??!?111
  23. Just so you know, I have CTRA so I don't have to be sober when I raid. In fact, last night was my first "dry" MC in months. Kinda creepy. Does anyone like pie?
  24. Last night I ran with my guild for the first time in Molten Core, and I had an absolute blast. My definition of "A-Game" is what I finally got to experience last night - "People doing what they are supposed to be doing to ensure the overall success of the raid as a whole." There was no ######ing, no whining. In fact, things went so well that I was absolutely relaxed despite being the FNG to the raid...I think I actually played better because of it. And, I am not saying that we didnt screw the pooch a couple times, either. Things didn't necessarily go 100% right, but overall, the run went smoothly. People reacted appropriately and immediately. Situational awareness was at a high point. People were playing with the attention to detail that is foundational in end-game raiding. It was a blast and I wish we could have kept going, I needed a mid-week pick-me-up like that. With that said, I had a couple of things that I noticed that were different than what I am used to doing, not necessarily better or worse, just different. I believe that a couple would aid in our speed in clearing bosses and trash mobs. Please also understand that this will be and is intended to be a work in progress (until we get Ragnaros on farm status). Again, please, I am not criticizing, because it works, and well. Just pointing out a couple things that I saw differently. WOOTS: 1.) Maube - excellent job in balancing the raid with the people that showed up. You put, at least from my perspective, people into groups based on classes and specializations that would compliment each other. On top of knowing the strategies that will make a dungeon run work, knowing your people's strengths and weaknesses is what will be the major determining factor in whether or not a raid will continue to progress or not. I was impressed. 2.) Warriors - tanks and DPS types - excellent job in holding aggro. I have yet to determine the aggro strength of my new (well, sort of - since the spec update) Enhancement/Elemental build. For the most part, I was able to go full tilt with 100% aggro generating combos (Rockbiter+Stormstrike+Earthshock inside of 2 seconds = huge aggro gain) without stealing aggro. The couple times I did yank aggro, you got it back and held it. Flexibility and durability - again, key strengths of the raid concerning the tanks, I noticed at times that the raid was pulling multiple mobs (accidentally on purpose a couple times) and we held our ground and kicked some butt. AND we were short handed. 3.) Healing - main and assistant type. Kalrash (sp?) did an excellent job of setting up what needed to happen, when it needed to happen, and by whom it needed to happen. For the most part, I wasn't assigned to a specific person, so I spot healed in the raid. What I found impressive here was the personal attention he played and paid to ensure that this aspect of the raid was covered. As a person who leads when he can, knowing that I have someone covering an important aspect of what needs to be accomplished that will get the job done makes life that much easier, and is probably a large reason why Maube did such a great job last night. THOUGHTS: Trash Mobs: Firelords: Last night I noticed that we were asked to wait until the first spawn to begin DPSing, and that when the spawn happened, to DPS it first. I am used to everyone piling onto the Firelords immediately and then peeling off onto the spawn. By going this route we are sometimes able to avoid having a spawn at all, and when it happens we only ever get one spawn. That is about 10-15 seconds of full raid pounding on the Firelord. In addition, Mages will already have Blizzard falling in the area to catch the FL and spawn. Imps: The only thing I saw that was different was a lack of a "Warstomp Rotation". They are stunnable. This involves getting the Tauren all together at the entrance to where we first go in before clearing to Lucifron, and aassigning them a spot in the rotation. The first stomp is always a tank, who also gets bubbled. Then everyone runs in and does what we have to do to kill them off. It does clear faster than what we did with our 28 people. Magmadar's puppies (in his chambers, not the core hounds): They were assigned correctly, but the warriors were not split among the groups as evenly as what I was used to. By putting the warriors into completely separate melee groups, you ensure a little more balanced damage across the group of puppies and get less of the "lay off #4, more on #5" than what I heard last night. Typically, groups 1-5 are melee/melee support, 7 is mages, 8 is druids from my experience. Bosses: Magmadar: The only differences to this fight that I noticed was the placement of the boss in relation to the raid and tank/offtank support. It appeared that we fought him in the middle of his chamber, which didn't leave a lot of manuever room once he started flinging flaming poo. From my experience, he is usually pulled to the location of the next to the last Puppy Pack on the right side of his hall, and then faced towards the back wall. This seems to keep his conflags to the back end of the hall and allows more room to run and bandage as necessary. Every warrior who will possibly end up tanking needs to have a shaman in his group with a tremor totem down. This allows the tanks/offtanks to break fear when their talent is on cooldown. There was a point in the fight where TT was LD, and his warrior had to pick up and hold aggro, but couldn't do so effectively because he couldn't break fear. Ghennas: No comments other than it was nice to tank the assistants on the other side of the hall compared to where we enter. Was a very, very nice change. I would suggest giving the tank/offtanks Free Action Potions to use at the beginning of the encounter to counter the Fist of Ragnaros stun and generate even more hate to keep them from moving even more. Garr: I am used to seeing just Warlocks holding off the extra minions using their Void Walkers. This would free up the hunters to do more damage to Garr. It works both ways. Baron Geddon: No comments. Textbook encounter Shazzrah: This encounter is the most fun/frustrating for me personally. I take between 700-1300 damage each time I run in to purge due to his/her AoE pulse. Having more than one detect magic up at a time is neither a good or bad thing, it just helps. There were times during the fight that there were no detects up, and due to the damage I take, I get a little leary of running in spamming purge blindly. I do it because I must, but I (as a Shaman) would prefer to see every mage's detect up during the fight. Also, there seemed to be some confusion as to what to do when he blinked. When he does that, he dumps the Tank's aggro and goes for a new target. It's shown in the Target's Target window. Whoever that is needs to run to the middle and drag Shazz with him/her. DPS stops until Shazz is back in the middle and focusing on the Tank. Takes about 3 seconds if done right (which we did for the most part). So, having read this far, let me please re-iterate something I said already. I am not knocking the raid or the tactics or anything like that. Just offering my experiences from last night from a little different perspective as far as MC is concerned. I hope that my contribution somehow made a difference last night, and I hope to earn a permanent spot in the raid. (TO BE CONTINUED POST SULFURON, GOLEMAGG, MAJORDOMO EXECUTUS & RAGNAROS) EDITED: If by some reason someone becomes offended by this, please delete it. I am not trying to let the Llama out of the pen to feed.
  25. I'll probably be late for ZG tonight - I won't be getting out of work until around 8pm, and then there is the commute. Jero is only one flight away from Grom'gol so if there is space...
