  1. I got a very fast dagger and I want to try this enchant on it to see if it is worthwhile based on proc rate. Can you post the mats please? Thanks!
  2. I have 6 of them. I don't want or need any of them. (Thanks to Calipso who helped me kill five of the lesser windstones last night, by the way.) I, personally, am not interested in farming up Cenarion Circle Reputation at this time, there is just so much else I would like to do. However, since I am farming the Twilight Cultists for Texts to sell and Runecloth in order to get a Generic Orc Epic Mount, I do come across a lot of their Trappings. This leads to killing Lesser Windstones to make room in my bags, but then I get crests. Apparently, I can summon two Dukes at this point. Do you want the reputation? You can have the crests! I'll even help you kill the Dukes! I just ask for a fair shot at any Leggings of Striking that drop, but other than that, the rest of the loot table is completely open for your enjoyment - meaning I would more than likely pass unless I could and would use it on Sabrianica. Just let me know in game!
  3. Timtimawni (Warrior, Winter Wolves) has the Lifestealing Enchant. He'll do it for free for any Skullcrusher - he likes raiding with us.
  4. [company letterhead] Blizzard Entertainment (B.O.H.I.C.A.) Bend Over, Here It Comes Again - it's more than an acronym, it's a corporate lifestyle!
  5. Server issues prevented it. I got maybe two hours of play time yesterday...sucks. I hope they tag on a day or two to our accounts for this bullspittle.
  6. 2 Plaguebloom and 2 Mountain Silversage and 1 Crystal Vial = 1 Mongoose Mongoose Stacks with the Elemental Sharpening Stone and MoTW. God forbid we get a feral druid and add the Leader of the Pack bonus and an Improved Grace of Air Totem to the stack. Seriously, if Sabrianica had all that, she would be pushing 42-43% Crit rate - if getting over 40% is possible. If the Rogues all had a Mongoose, Elemental Sharpening Stone, Winterfall Fire Water and a Shaman, you could expect another 2-3% of Ragnaros's health PER ROGUE that stays alive for the entire fight. And as much as I would like to be there, I have a first date - CONFIRMED - and well, I think the Real Girl > WoW Girls anyday! Maube - sent you some Sandworm Meat and some Dense Stones that I farmed up in Silithus while grinding out mats for my epic. (Runecloth for Orgrimmar Rep, Twilight Texts for Gold) As I get more, I will send it in.
  7. Concept: Sabrianica and 4 other brave souls will party up in Brill (Sab's hometown since the fall of Stratholme). Party will randomly select a dungeon that all party members can access. Any dungeon from Ragefire Chasm through Dire Maul (5 man dungeons only). Rules can be set about gear, abilities, speaking styles, loot rule or anything else by the person who wins the random 100 roll that will be cast. (If you have ever played the card game "The Greater Dalmuti", you'll get this) The last time I did this, the winner chose a "Cloaks and Tabards Only" Attire for Wailing Caverns where everyone had to either speak with a bad english or a bad french accent (think Monty Python here). No weapons and only healing spells could be cast. I promise that if I win the roll, it will not be a run to Scholomance. I will announce in Guild Chat when I get on that the Random Dungeon Run is starting, and the first 5 people to respond, regardless of level or class that respond get to go. Ready to have some fun? Ready to have some silliness?
  8. Both Elemental Fire to go with the Dreamfoil and foods that help with Mana Regen (Nightfin, Greater Sagefish, etc.) come to mind here. People getting the minimum FR to be at whatever limit you set when they are buffed also seems like a no-brainer.
  9. Sorry to disagree with ya, but no, you don't enact policy. We as a guild work together to achieve our goals and THAT'S how we'll get this done. Not by you enacting policy. Sorry, Qiris, but you are wrong. We may corporately, as a guild, enact policy, but I enact the policy personally. She says "This is how we are gonna do it" and that is the way I do it. If each person doesn't accept personal responsibility for his/her own small contribution, the whole will be incomplete. That is where it starts. For instance - Fire Resistance. The policy is "X" FR. What have "you" done to achieve it, enact the policy at a personal level, or are you waiting for the raid to "work together to achieve the FR goal"? I can't control what you, or any other member of the raid does. I can only control and dictate my compliance with the policies. Maube sets the policies, I enact them. I take offense that you would imply anything else above or beyond that.
  10. I can have my hunter craft you some armor, and I can have my shaman craft you some weapons. Patience grasshopper. Oh - and if you stay an Alliance Paladin, you have a theme song. Did you know this? Here it is! (To the tune of "I'm a little Teapot") I'm a little pally short and stout Here is my hammer Here is my mount Whenever I'm in danger, I scream and shout Pop my bubble and hearthstone out. I have another one for you, but the link is on my home PC.
  11. We can too tank! Jeroabem has tanked every dungeon up to and including Molten Core. Rockbiter and Earthshock for the win! Bubbling is a crutch!
  12. Ok, I was under the impression that Dampen Cost 200 mana. Even if it is 500 Mana, saving 500 mana per mage to cast on one warrior that could potentially end up holding aggro in phase 3 (balls out DPS post-sons) makes more sense to me. Even if only 3 warriors get the Dampen compared to all 6, that is still a HUGE benefit. I'm looking at the other side of this discussion where I see a warrior getting beaten on by 2-4 Sons at a time taking 400-800 damage per hit vs 2-4 damage per hit and the ability of our healers to regen during this phase. To me, it makes sense to have the mages dry up when Phase 2 starts and have more melee DPS up when phase three starts. Mana can regen, but combat resses only go so far. Just so people know where I come from on this or any issue that I discuss, please read this. Maube sets policy. I enact policy. This means that while I may have a differing opinion from her, I support her 100%. This is her baby, she brought it about, she virtually bled for it and she has every right to say what is gonna happen, period. Leaders lead. True leaders know how to follow too, and I am working on this. When my raid gets to this point (Ragnaros), I will try it out the I foresee it when the raid I am leading/developping there. But...5%...daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn.
  13. Do the math please. If you don't get a shaman, 50 (base FR) + 20 (GoTW) + 81 (LBRS) = 151 - which is what the ranged/casting group needs. Any more than that and you are gimping stats which gimps the raid. All this is categorized under the heading of "UNLESS MAUBE HAS SAID OTHERWISE". No, apply it when we converge. Don't put it on them before the fight with the intent of saving time, whatever. Put it on them when the sons are emerging and they can drop it when Rags re-emerges. I think my hearth stone has been set to Scholomance. Who do I need to drag into Ras Frostwhisper's room with me? I dropped the Monday and Tuesday Raids, and I believe I have a Warrior and Priest on call for those days.
  14. That and the added perk of mocking Alliance Paladin and their silly hammers and horsies!
  15. Sorry about the phraseology, Maube, but I was a little pissy when I posted it. If I had known I was going to be standing close enough to someone who was slacking in his responsibilty for FR, I would have gone all out in FR and been closer to 350. There is no need, though, for anyone to go more than +10 over the recommended 150 / 250 FR based on placement. If you need help figuring out what you need to have for unbuffed stats to hit the required, please use the following as a guideline. To calculate your BUFFED Fire Resistance, use the following numbers: GoTW: 20 (right? My totem throws this, so I never use it.) Fire Resistance Totem: 71 (If you are in a group that gets a shaman or are a shaman) BRS Spellbinder Buff: 81 Casters and Ranged: You need a MINIMUM of 50 FR unbuffed. That isn't too hard, is it? Tidal Loop, Eldre'Thalas Trinket, Onyxia Key should about cover that. Then you can start adding in smaller amounts of FR that do not compromise your other base stats that make you lethal. Melee People (Out on the spit, non-MTs): You need a minimum of 100 FR if you are grouped with a Shaman, 150 without. For an example, Sabrianica wears the following when she fought Ragnaros - and didnt get punted or get anyone else punted. This could be a guide for anyone who wears leather: Volcanic Chest with +3 All Stats = 20 FR Volcanic Leggings = 20 FR Onyxia Key Necklace = 15 FR Bloodmoon Cloak with +7 FR = 7FR Hyperradiant Flame Reflectors x 2 = 36 FR Unbuffed FR: 98 Add in LBRS Spellbinder Buff (+81 FR) Add in Shaman Fire Resist Totem (+71 FR) Buffed FR: 250 Not an engineer? Substitute the Hyperradiant Flame Reflectors for two +18 FR Rings that can be bought off the AH. Get the Volcanic pieces crafted on your own. What pieces of Nightslayer have +FR? Convert 2 pieces of Shadowcraft (or any Tier 0 armor for that matter) to Darkmantle (Tier 0.5) and get +8 FR. Do you want a piece of craftable FR made? Then get the materials together and find out who can make it! Take some initiative and get-er-dun! Here's the thing with Sabrianica, she's been to exactly 2 full MC runs, and in MC three times total. Everything she has is gained outside the core. I have the Volcanic pieces thanks to a donation from the guild, but I would have gladly paid for them myself - I was gathering materials for them at the time. Finally, Maube DESERVES to see the raid she has led down Ragnaros as much as you who have been there since day 1 deserve to kill him. Just take the final step you need to take in order to get there! Go team go! You can do eet! Warlocks: With the exception of the MT/OT, why not have your Voidwalker out to Sacrifice for when you Lifetap that low until you have a chance to heal yourself? Why burn all of your mana so that you have to burn all of your health to get it back? Lifetap has no cooldown, so start tapping at 50% so that you have 50% health left. Maube says it all the time: If you are not the Main Tank or Off-tank, do not expect a heal. Want a self-healing rhythm? Try this: 1440 Healthstone -> Major Healing Potion -> Bandage -> 1320 Healthstone -> Major Healing Potion -> Bandage -> 1200 Healthstone -> Major Healing Potion -> Bandage. If Ragnaros is still alive after all those cooldowns, we're fooked anyways. It's good that Harne was running over to heal you, but in my honest opinion, those heals belonged to the main and off tank. Period. Everyone else is a very distant secondary concern when it comes to healing compared to those two individuals. If they properly take the abuse from Ragnaros, he will never look at anyone else who is doing 10-20 times the amount of damage that they deal to him over the course of the encounter. Here's my opinion on Shaman and Ragnaros: Putting another Shaman who can be 250-260 FR Buffed with 3/8 Earthfury (extends beneficial totem range) out on the spit with the melee people so that Rogues and DPS warriors can wear less FR gear and more DPS gear far outweighs the benefit, in my opnion, of putting a Shaman in with a Warlock Group. I think it outweighs having a mana tide totem for the priests. It's not my call because it's not my raid, but it is my opinion. 5% is literally 3-4 more people alive when the sons have been killed off and he emerges. My other opinion: Dampen Magic on ALL warriors and druids who are going to be tanking sons when they emerge. They will take a LOT less damage (1 damage per vs. a couple hundred), which gives the healers more time to regen during this period. Do we have people who go out and fish up Nightfin, Greater Sagefish for regen (none of my toons are fishers, but I am working on getting Sab up)? Do we have people gathering materials for Major Mana Potions for the healers? Do we have people gathering materials for the Major Mana Oil (Regen X per Tick when applied to a weapon)? We just need a last little nudge to get us over the hump and it's done! =)
  16. Good job on the trash mobs, no wipes there. Ran into a Brick wall called Lucifron, but considering we were only 30 strong with inadequate healing, I call it a great job. Let's improve next week.
  17. Folks - you cannot attend both. Please pick one or the other and sign up. It's difficult to predict and plan class balance if I (or Maube for that matter) have to double check the other raid to see who signed up where. So far the following people are signed up for BOTH raids: Haq (Did you mean to sign up Harne for one or the other?) Dugand Khanak Roh was, but she realized the mistake and fixed it. Molten Core resets weekly, on Tuesday, and you can view when all other dungeons reset by going to the WoW website and clicking on the Raid Calendar link. I'm not ######ing, I'm not complaining, and while I would love to have you in our raid, if you want to raid with Maube and the rest of that group, more power to you! =) I can say, and Maube will verify this, despite the aggravation of failure when we can't accomplish our goals initially, the sense of pride you have as the raid progresses will be huge! Imagine being there the first time Maube's raid downs Ragnaros and you could say "I was here from the start!" - that's the feeling that you will get when you are in MC#2 and we get to that point. If you want the challenge of starting from scratch, this is where it's at. Maube has earned the respect of her raid group by leading it from scratch. I never, ever imagined the willpower it takes to lead a 40 man from scratch, but now I begin to see it. I respect her for her efforts and energy. Just thought I should add that too. So, to summarize: If you want to raid with the group attempting to down Ragnaros at this point, please sign up for the raid called "Molten Core" which is led by Maube. If you are wanting to raid with a fresh group that is just starting out, please sign up for "Molten Core #2" which is led by Jero-Sab (Sabrianica). Thanks! EDIT: Oh - just in case I may confuse some people: You can attend BOTH of the posted Zul'Gurub Raids. Zul'Gurub is on a three day reset timer and I will work with Baracko to make sure that his new raid and my established raid does not prevent people from attending both. Skullcrusher Raid Reset Timers: Onyxia: 5 Days Zul'Gurub: 3 Days Molten Core: 7 Days Ahn'Qiraj (20): 5 Days (I think?)
  18. Maube - It's not so much that your FR was lacking, it was probably the FR of the person next to you. I have absolutely no clue why, but between Grimgor and Relikk and my 260 FR, I STILL went flying too. Not gonna say much, but if you, me, Rhoach and Scryll were alive, Rags would be dead. I guarantee that. Folks - get your goddamned FR up. Ranged = 150 +/- WITHOUT sacrificing stats. Melee = 250 - 260 WITHOUT sacrificing stats. Anymore than that and you are gimping our raid, our attempt on Ragnaros.
  19. Great, great, great job everyone! Bat: Dead - 1 attempt Snake: Dead - 1 attempt Spider: Dead - 1 attempt Tony: Dead - 2 attempts Panther: Not so much, but still! Need to do some research for a couple alternate methods of dealing with her, but she's gonna go down! In my opinion, she is the hardest boss in there, and once she is down, Hakkar is all about DPS, CC the MC'd Warrior and pulling a Son up to deal with his life tap. We're SO close gang!!! Thank you for coming out! Thank you for bringing your best attitudes! Thank you for putting out 110%!
  20. Here is Sabrianica's "Don't be a newb" 8-Step program: 1.) Log into World of Warcraft using your username and password. 2.) Highlight your character on the "Character Selection Screen". While your character is highlighted, press the "DELETE" button at the bottom. 3.) You are going to be prompted to confirm that this is not a mistake. Although you may feel hesitant, trust me, this is for your own good. "D-E-L-E-T-E". 4.) At the top of the character selection area is a button called "Change Realms". Press the button. Sort the realms alphabetically. 5.) Select "Argent Dawn" by double clicking on the name. Select from the Horde (Red) side of the races, then select your class preference. 6.) Log into Argent Dawn by double clicking your character. 7.) Type /who Skullcrusher, press enter. Whisper "/w" any one level 60 from the list that will pop up and introduce yourself. 8.) When the Invitation to join the guild is sent to you, press the "Accept" button. Voila! You are no longer a newb, but a Peon! And a Skullcrusher to boot! Failure to follow all 8 steps of this program will result in mockery, ridicule and crude, offcolor jokes being created about you and your ability to play, as you will always be just a newb!
  21. Congrats! We're a go! Our goal this week is a little on the amibitious side, but I would like to have Garr dead by the time we call it a night. We will NOT be focusing on Healing Rotations or Chain Pulling for the first couple weeks as I want to give people an opportunity to get used to the encounters. We have a lot of Molten Virgins! /snicker If you are a buffing class (Druid, Priest, Mage) - please be sure to stock up on the reagents you need. Refer to your class leader for guidance on how many you should be bringing with you. Shaman, bring at least 5 Ankhs with you please. Repairs: Be fully repaired. If you show up at less than 90% you'll be sent to Kargath to repair and will miss out on probably the first 10 or so pulls. You will not be summoned back. Etiquette: I will try to run a loose ship, however, for the first couple weeks, I am asking that all TS be kept quiet so that those of us leading can explain and answer questions for the new people as best as possible. If you are in a group with someone who has never been, whether you are in a class leadership position or not, I am counting on you to step up and take them under your wings. Remember - it took you 3-6 weeks of solid raiding in MC before you were comfortable with the encounters. The sooner we gel, the sooner we are facing Ragnaros. Fillers: Priority will go to Priests and Warlocks this week. Pick-up players will NOT be eligible for DKP purchased loot during week one. This is to prevent people from coming in without any committment to the raid. If they are signed up prior to the first invite going out, they will be eligible. Next week's Sign-up is already posted. If you show up on time and stay the entire raid, you will have priority next week. Eventually, priority will be given to people based on Class Leader recommendations. DKP is in effect, however, since most items will be needed by everyone in the raid, we will be /roll 100 for the item per class, then assessing the DKP cost to your tally. I should have a DKP tracking site up later in the week. If you have any questions, feel free to contact either your class leader or me in game. Thanks! 22. Dammit...not kidding, but I was gonna name my pally "Pedro" after the neighbor's dog that is always biting his ass. Now I have to come up with a new name. Current Ideas: Bubzeebub (in honor of my favorite Alliance Druid: Bumdbum) - Bub for short Durdeedur (in honor of Carlos Mencia and his response to stupidity) - DeeDeeDee for short
  23. If we get one other Priest, other than Kytae, I wouldn't mind bringing Maube along for the entire run. Priority in invites will always go to Skullcrushers, and there are a couple who are not in our tabard that I would bump to make room for a Guild member. Just let Relikk/Taurgren/Me know if you want to come or not. Also, depending on how close you are, I have a ton of coins in my bank(s) (Jeroabem and Sabrianica) that I would be willing to donate to you to help out with your rep gain. Sabrianica still gets rep off of trash mobs and doesn't need them as much as other people do...yet. Kytae has a spot reserved for her. It will take about 30 minutes to clear to our first boss anyways, and if need be, we can clear to the first two bosses. Running with Sabrianica in all those dungeons, being ninjared as many times as you have been deserves just a little bit of preferential treatment.
  24. QFT. Why is it that we say "After three sunders you can basically start doing damage to it" (sorry...couldn't resist the quote) or at Onyxia no one except the MT and Secondary MT (Relikk and Smedlock por ejemplo) do any DPS until the Curses of Doom have ticked off? It's because aggro management is a very, very important part of any successful raid beyond the Tier 0 dungeons. While I myself am guilty of stroking the Epeen in a raid, I have taken serious steps to learn how to control my aggro and will comment only on myself as a Rogue: 1.) Rupture vs. Eviscerate: Assuming a 5 combo point finish here. If Damage Done = 1 point of Aggro, and we can safely assume the average 5 CP Evis = 945 non-crit (1.11), that's 945 points of aggro built up instantly. I have easily seen crits on Eviscerate of 1700-2000. Rupture is a Damage over time, and as such, the aggro it generates is not an instant increase, but is built up. It's going to be competing for placement on the list with the other players at the moment, and as such, generating LESS aggro per tick than Eviscerate will. Since Aggro does not decay over time (diminishing return), Eviscerate places you higher on the list than if you use Rupture. Recommendation: Alternate SnD and Ruptures, saving Eviscerate for when the Warriors are spamming Execute. Our CRITTING Eviscerate does less damage than Execute, and will keep us from stealing Aggro at an inopportune moment. 2.) Feint & Vanish: Feint Rank V (book drop from AQ20) Eats up 800 Aggro - the equivalent of 800 damage. Per Rhoach and Scryll both - Feint often, every time it is available. Save Vanish for when you snag aggro so the tank will be able to retake control of the mob. If your Vanish Timer is not up, burn Evasion and stand there / move to the center of the North end (Onyxia). Do not fight. By evading, you generate 0 aggro while the warrior attempts to overcome the amount of threat you generated. Most Rogues at 60 jump their dodge percentage to the 75 - 80% neighborhood, and our healers are usually very good about keeping people alive (despite having just opened the Libram of Stupidity to chapter 9 "Rogues are more squishy than those in plate"). Recommendation: Do what Rhoach and Scryll said - Feint often.
