  1. Patch downloaded and applied in 42 seconds...just thought I would say. and luci with halfg a raid was a BLAST. Need to take into consideration the number of dead we had too - He dropped with only like 17-20 up...if memory serves.
  2. oh holy hell...I want one of those for when I am 1h fighting with my shaman. Talk to you in-game.
  3. I normally don't like to weigh in on "which weapon" conversations, because I have been burned so many times on the "your class shouldn't use it" argument. It gets old. Regarding the CHT, the fact is it makes a much better DPS melee class weapon than it does tanking. On one hand, if we are going to look at class benefit as the deciding factor, this means, imo, it should be going to DPS melee people first. If you are a tank, that means you would have to wait until Rogues (who should have priority) and then Enhancement Shaman and Fury Warriors have gotten it before a Tanking warrior gets it...benefit to the raid and all. On the other hand, this is a DKP item. If you have the most DKP, you should win the item. It's fair, it's balanced. But then people begin hoarding DKP for the item(s) they want to have and everyone else suffers when the Zero-Sum begins to be effected by people allowing usuable items to be DE'd. Personally, I favor this approach until people begin hoarding DKP. There is no easy answer, well, there is, but it isn't a popular one. There are better weapons for tanking, and if it means going in to ZG to get the weapon(s) you need, then let's do that. There are also a couple good tanking weapons in AQ20 as well. Finally, I know of Tier 1 and Tier 2 Tanks that are using the Annihilator as a tanking weapon. Remember, tanking is not about damage, it's about generating and holding the monster's hate against 39 other people. Hope this somehow helps.
  4. All I can report, then is the following: Sir! Hindquarters were firmly and decisively kicked! Sir! Names were taken! Sir! That is all!
  5. See you when you get back Betel! Safe passages and all that!
  6. Sabrianica thirsts for battle. As a Deathstalker, Varimathras has given her a wide authority in excercising her right to execute prior to interrogation of Alliance intelligence sources. I will also see if there are some of my friends from The Profane who would be interested in joining in on the slaughter.
  7. Jeroabem is ready, able and willing. He'll heal those Dragons to death!
  8. Arathi Basin is, for those of us who play it, all about balance. Whoever has it can force the other side into reacting. We didn't have it, at first. We had the farm and the mill and were turning the mine. We lost the mine but everyone that ressed immediately hit the Smith. Once we had the smith, it was a matter of turning nodes. They would attack one of our nodes, so we would attack both of theirs and end up capturing one. They would push us off, but we still had three. At one point, all we had was the smith. At another, all they had was their starting base. In the end, we won because we kept them moving and guessing where we were going to hit next. They couldn't defend and attack us in enough places to win. ...and notice that the #1 Hordie is a Crusher...and a Rogue....
  9. *Raises a mug in your honor* *Downs same*
  10. Reduced play time due to router crapping out and sharing a connection from one pc with my brother. New router should arrive by Friday. So unhappy, must speak in taciturn fashion. >.<
  11. You mean I can pay to have someone transferred off the server? I need to start a list....
  12. Well...Thanks to Zuato, I have a new appreciation for Innervate. I can see the other side of this argument and I probably will not be calling for an innervate again. It's nice, but without the huge innate spirit that a priest/mage would have, an innervate on this Shaman is a little silly. I got like 3.5 - 4.8k mana (depending on if I was casting or not). Between my 10% regen in combat and keeping a mana spring down and being smart about healing, I probably will not need an innervate - ever. I'm also working a couple other angles - Brilliant Mana Oil and Sagefish Delight - for added regen in combat. Should cover everything I need. One thing I would like to say about this thread, and I mean it sincerely, is that I appreciate the fact that there have been no "flame-tastic" posts. The criticisms have been constructive. It feels like a dialogue compared to a "know your place" attitude that I encountered HERE. Innervate netted me between 2.8 and 4.5k mana restored depending on whether or not I was casting. For something with a 6 minute cooldown it seemed a little less than what I expected. By the third attempt at the General in AQ, I had figured out where I needed burst healing and where I could hold back a little and focus on regenning. I appreciate that Zuato was willing to throw me the innervate(s) when he did, because it gave me the opportunity to move from theorycraft into application. Thanks again Zuato.

  14. Anything that makes you invulnerable makes you unable to carry or capture the flag.
  15. The night is cold and quiet after the storm had passed. Animals and demons alike have sought shelter and have yet to emerge. You are certain that the Scarlet Commander is still hot on your trail, and very well he should be after you have completed the task that Fordring sent you into Stratholme to complete. You are so busy looking and listening for signs of pursuit that you never noticed the lithe undead woman step out of the bushes until the tip of her daggers are pressing against your throat. "Who are you and exactly where do you think you are going" she hisses. Pressure on your throat causes you to gasp in pain a little. "Sab...stop. You no kill dat dere. Bring to others at fire." The hunter, an Orc, obviously just saved your life, but he doesn't lower the bow, and you get the feeling that his wolf is eyeing you not as a threat, but as a meal. The two lead you to a small campsite where the most odd collection of horde sits around a fire. There is a pair of undead females, one a mage from the fire she keeps throwing at the bonfire, and the other a Warlock. Her smile doesn't reassure you any, and somehow, that makes her smile even more. Sitting across from them is a massive Orc. From his garb you guess that he must be a Shaman. He looks up at you, then at the hunter and smiles. "Sit traveller, and tell of your journey. How is it that this (pointing to the hunter) inexperieced, muddy footed brother of mine and that (points at the undead who you stumbled into) Rogue managed to so easily capture you." The fire is warming, and there is security in numbers. You begin to doubt whether the crusade would tempt fate against this group and so you sit. Hours pass as you regale them with your exploits inside the Hearthglen. Laughter and menacing glances pass back and forth. In time, they introduce themselves to you. Opfern, the Warlock. Formerly of Darrowshire. She was recently freed from slavery to the lich king and now continues her studies into the necrotic and demonic in undeath. Relsieh, the Mage. Also formerly of Darrowshire. She was a student in Dalaran prior to it's destruction at the beginning of the third war. She escaped the Lich King but fell to the plague in Brill. The Royal Apothecary Society was able to prevent her complete turning to the Lich King, but not to save her from undeath. Sabrianica, the Rogue. Formerly of Stratholme. She was a ne'er-do-well who roamed the streets. She died in the onslaught that levelled the town, but was reborn. It was possibly her stubborness in life that gave her free will in undeath. She followed the trail of the undead into Brill and Deathknell before being contacted by the Deathstalkers for work in service to the queen, Sylvanas. She now relishes in her work and looks forward to her return to Stratholme. Jeroabem, the Shaman. Born in Razor Hill he is haunted by visions that he has now confirmed of the Black Dragonflight out of Blackrock Spire. He has travelled far and wide and seen many wonders and evils. His work carries him into the core where he hopes to unlock the secret that keeps the dwarves there strong while he attempts to gain access to the citadel of Nefarian. Runamuck, the Hunter. Also born in Razor Hill, the younger brother of Jeroabem has long had an independent streak that irritates his older brother. Given the nickname for his constantly muddy feet, Runamuck has just begun his journey. (NOT PICTURED YET) Bradius Stormbringer of Orgrimmar. A warrior, born to a warrior family and orphaned when Quillbacks raided the Crossroads. (TO BE CONTINUED)
  16. For the sake of argument, here is this week's stats. Don't know what to say but that the numbers don't lie and an innervate is warranted, imo.
  17. Sabrianica can craft Thorium Shells, she just can't harvest the materials. To make them I need: 2 x Thorium Bars and 2 x Dense Stones (to make 1 x Dense Powder). Please note that Archers can trade these in for the arrow version of them in Orgrimmar for Bows and Crossbows. Jeroabem is an Axesmith with plans for the Annihilator and the Dawn's Edge axes, as well as the Honored axe plans for the Thorium Brotherhood. I can also make the 2h Axe that lowers armor stats (name escapes me) and the Heavy Mithril Axe (Level 51 green with sick + AP - I'll get the name in the AM.)
  18. Not sure what this is, but looking for some kind of explanation... Nine consecutive caps by the same pally over three matches and bubbled each and everytime. Immune to everything - blind, attacks (couldnt even build combos - I can with PWS), trinkets, etc.... Help...kinda upset about this.
  19. Hey! If you are a Cloak and Dagger Rogue with Rogue Spot, go vote for me. Cerias asked for Volunteers to help run the forums, approve members and the like. I volunteered. I have the second most votes right now, so...shouldnt a Skullcrusher be recognized WoW-wide??? GO VOTE!!!...but only for me...not anyone else.
  20. For reference, last week in my healing gear for our part 2 MC run (Ghennas -> Rags), where I was healing for everything up to our second attempt, I finished fourth place on overall healing - and I didn't heal at all on our second attempt on Rags - as an Enhancement (35) / Elemental (16) Shaman. I can't wait to see how tomorrow night's full run goes for me, there is a very good chance I could be #1 or #2. That being said, the DM that recorded it was not mine, and I was never grouped with the person who reported to me my placement. I think this is a strong number (not quite a fact value, but good enough) since the result would have to have been a synched number. I'm gonna consider staying this spec, but I will need to get a Beast Deck put together for the Blue Dragon Card if I am gonna stay here, as well as probably investing in someone to get me some weekly MMPs and/or Sagefish Delight stuff. I also need to check my + Healing gear to see if I can squeeze out some more regen / 5 than what I get currently, as I think my priority has been +healing, then +int, then +regen. I'll post more when I get a chance to review.
  21. Something I should have asked, but didnt is, what is the cooldown on an innervate? 1, 3, 5 or 30 minutes? and - my + healing gear is from ZG and drops...kinda fun to have that much. The response I have received there so far equates to "Shaman can't out heal Priests, it's not possible" and "respec and get mana tide" from Grumish. Crypta is a little more technical and I appreciate his insight. I dunno, I sort of smell a re-respec coming on where I go back to my flattening ways. So much for the kinder, gentler Jeroabem.
  22. This is mainly directed to the people I raid with in WWBBQ, but I was interested in seeing the response I would get here. From my point-of-view, this makes perfect sense to me, but I might just be biased. What do you think?
  23. Thank you for the support and the invitation to join the guild. I'll make sure that Goblin doesn't get flattened for delivering my request.
  24. We (BBQ) did this last week in MC with a lot of success. It is reliant on being able to clear trash and three bosses inside the respawn rate of the trash mobs. Clear the trash after Ghennas up to Garr. Instead of engaging Garr like most raids do, head for Geddon/Shazzrah. Clear up the fire mobs for the Shazzrah pull, turn around, kill Garr, then Geddon, then Shazzrah. The major benefit to this is there is a lot less deaths to trash mobs in between boss fights, which speeds up the whole raid in the process.
  25. I went 16 points Elemental: Shocks and Clearcasting, 5 points Enhancement: Mana, and 30 points Restoration (Natures Swiftness, less aggro, armor buffing, more efficient healing, less mana healing, armor buffing, Healing Wave stacking increase...I think that's it.) Mana Stream + Tranquil Air + Tremor Totem + Innervate = spam healing MT at Onyxia without ever getting aggro. Was sweet.
