I did the furnace a few times, was fun. Was especially funny to see the priest go "OMG I didn't die!! OMG OMG OMG." I saved 50% rage and I kept my taunt ready for when the NPC dismounted and made a bee-line for the healer, and then I was ready for the mount as well. I am torn though, the dps build (for pvp) has served me well, I can crank out 55k of exp per hour going nonstop with a combo of mobs and quests. However, I am looking at a new build now, x/5/17 (x being the leftover points + level). I really miss the 10% armor buff (I could squeeze out another 900 armor with that), the defense buff, and the two godly abilities last stand and buffed hate generation. I really have to start thinking "tank" as I love instances and raids. So far though, I love the expansion. The new zones are breathtaking imho. The quests are fun. My favorite quest so far was that bombing campaign in hellfire. Ter forest is great, I am doing many quests there, and I like some of the abilities of the new mobs. Already ran into a mob warrior with full dreadnaught on! Oh, and one mob had a thunderfury! Would have loved to loot that and send it to Smedders! =) But that mob only gave me some silver *cry* The invised basilisk in ter forest had a neat ability, it would pop up behind me. Looking forward to hitting 70, getting that flying mount, and then instancing and helping fellow guildies. I don't know about you guys, but I am very pleased with this expansion. The graphics are just amazing. I am hoping the new 'resilience' gear will help vs casters. It is the break we were asking for. Some future tests to come on that... Rel

Blizzard keeps the server unlocked for new character creations due to server usage reasons. For instance, when I place a requisition for a new server, I am required to make a justification. At 5 a.m. in the morning, the server usage is way way down. I am not sure how they determine server usage, but I do know they should be base it on peek times, not overall useage. Rel

I prefer the RPers too. Although I consider myself a raider too. I suppose it depends on how you define 'raider'. If you define it like "raiding 7 days a week" then I am not that. I prefer a balance and I absolutely do not want to go past midnight, unless it's a friday or sat night, then it's not a problem. I'll go with the guild. Rel

I logged out at the portal last night, watching to see if ppl could get through the portal. By 12:15 a.m. ppl were still trying to get through and they couldn't. I logged in my banker to do some last minute transactions and did a /who bloodelf - I saw a level 2 Paladin Bloodelf online, the only one, named Snooppy (Brotherhood of the Blade). Before going to work this morning, logged in real quick, and saw the first one inside Ogrimmar AH (level 11 Rogue). He wuz purty and had a purty mouth. A quick /who showed a level 13 Bloodelf paladin. I had my copy shipped to me, called my wife and told her to expect a delivery today. I hope I will have it by the time I come home tonight. I um...*cough* ... don't feel to well today btw. I think I am going to be *cough* sick. This is serious, I'll just have to talk to my manager and get some um, bedrest. Yep, that's it. Rel

I am with you on this... Merry Christmas! I did it in jest. Sang around a "holiday tree" the town put up, apparently it's no longer a Christmas tree (and yes, I know the history of the Christmas tree). Holy songs were sung around it, and if the pagans want, they can come right in after and sing whatever they want. A rose is a rose, and by any other name, it is still a rose. We are fast moving towards a godless society. A dangerous thing for society to do, especially when laws concerning humanity's welfare can be changed via political favors. How do you show all 40 players on the screen at once? If I show more than 5 groups, I end up cutting into the main part of my screen. I once saw a screenshot of a player who had all 40 players vertically listed, enclosed in one box. It took out very little room, however, I cannot find it. Rel

So what happened with SWG? I heard it was great and then some big changes that disappointed many people. I played it for one day btw, I thought it was silly that it took many blaster shots to kill one creature. It was too reminiscient of Everquest. Rel

Alrighty then... Last night's Molten Core run was fun. The DPS increase was higher than most of us anticipated. Instead of slow and steady decrease of hitpoints, we noticed chunks of hps were taken out and mobs were dropping fast. I lost agro once if I recall, and it was because I forgot to use Devastate to refresh the sunders and agro. Was fun to see them go down so fast. Rel

OK, tried out the new protection build - wow, does it rock for pve. Someone pulled a commander level 61 elite in AV, he was easy. Devistate really performs well. Saves a ton of rage having to reapply sunders as this one button will refresh them all in one quick click. HPs have increased by 500 more, and defense is way up now. I like the new changes. Our rage generation has been nerfed unfortunetly, as if it was a major issue before. For years we have performed reasonably well. I feel bad for warriors on a pvp server, as they will have to manage rage better. It seems we are being pigeon-holed into group pvp and will require more support class healing to survive. As for pvp, I am only good in a group. No more solo expeditions or defending a flag by myself. I have to use potions for a small chance of survival now. Rel
