  1. Gemming for BM is pretty much the same as gemming for survival. Your gems look ok, although my preference is to with +4 hit/+4 agi for yellow sockets: hit is the best DPS stat until you are hitcapped (9% to hit), although with the S3 axe you should be close to hit cap, so going with crit, or +4crit/+8 ap gems is good. Of coarse try to get your enchants up: +6 stats to chest, +12 agi to cloak, assault to bracers (+24 ap), +12 agi to boots, Nethercobrahide kit to your legs, +15 agi to gloves, +35 agi to weapon, and +28 crit scope (+12 dmg, doesn't apply to steady shot, although if you are close to getting the badge x-bow wait until you get that before putting that scope on a ranged weapon). I believe waldonnis and maube can do most of those except for the glove and weapon enchants. the +26 AP to gloves is a good fill in enchant though. The best way to get enhcnating mats is ofcourse to save all the green stuff you get from dailies, and I'm sure Waldy/Maube won't mind DE'ing them to get you your mats. Finally http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classe...000000000000000 is the facemelting spec... the addition of animal handler increases your pet damage (4% hit is huge) and FI procs. and improved Hawk cuts down on dead time in your rotation. Going a full 20 in MM will increase your damage more than going 5/5 frenzy, and with 4/5 frenzy it should be up most of the time anyways. while extra armor/dodge/health is good for soloing, the extra damage and efficiency gained through the other talents in the posted build make up for it. As I said previously, the shot rotation for BM is basically Steady shot spam, but the pet management makes it challenging. You will need to time your mend pets, and sending your pet in/out more carefully. with the improved res pet it's practical to revive your pet in combat. Kailand
  2. Since Kailand is Survival spec, Im assuming you could give me some pointers on what I could do to improve as an SV Hunter? Something besides the usual "respec to BM" response I get from others. Survival really only shines in 25 man raids where there are 7+ physical DPSrs, otherwise BM brings more DPS. That being said, for a shot rotation, the basic 1:1.5 is best (auto-steady-arcane-auto-steady-auto-steady-multi-auto-steady). And the only sting you should be using is scorpid. Serpent sting isn't worth the mana. for spec, I prefer my 0/20/41, but http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classe...210322300530300 is said to bring a bit more DPS. Also Get that badge crossbow. It is the BEST ranged weapon in the game until sunwell unless you are a troll/dwarf SV/MM hunter, than the T6 instance bows/guns slightly edge it out. Also since we are small group, try to maximise personal DPS, as EW won't really make up the difference. otherwise go BM and go auto-steady-auto-steady shot rotation, and use kelani's spec - it;s the highest single target spec in the game. Hope this helps.
  3. Hi, Is there anyone around that can craft the whitemend helm, or does anyone know of a crafter? My brother wants one made, but has had no luck finding someone, so he's unloaded the task onto me. Kailand *edit - I got Kelivus to craft it, thanks!
  4. Yay! another clear. Just to let everyone know we now have a full roster, and after we have one more Karazhan clear with the full group (next friday - May 23rd) then we will start hitting up Zul'Aman in the following weeks. Our kill order to start will Bear, Eagle, Lynx, Dragon Hawk, Malacrass, then Zul'jin. Once I'm confident we can get two or more chests in the speed run, we will swap to the Eagle boss first followed by the bear boss. To my raiders: start gathering consummables as they will be needed in there (flask/elixir) and finish enchanting/gemming your gear. To those of who wanting to tweak even more out of your class/spec you can get into contact with me or verissi and we can help or find someone who can help.
  5. I already have a 5v5, but just to let you know the queues on mondays for 5v5 are a minute or two at most (2.4 shortened the queues drastically)
  6. There are no titles... the titles mentioned are for those that completed the SSC/TK and HS/BT attunement quests. As it is, our monday night run can only do 3 chests with 2 minutes left on the timer and we are geared at or above the T5 level. To go faster and get all 4 we would probably need to replace a healer with a DPSr (go with 1 MT, 1 OT, 6 DPS, 2 healer instead of our 1 Mt, 1 Ot, 5 DPS, 3 healer), or wait until we are all geared in Tier 6. That being said, blizzard is being anal about locking these rewards to a certain level. Who cares if everyone in the game has a bear mount? There will just be another prestige mount in the expansion to replace it.
  7. Hi, I was wondering if anybody had, or knows someone with Enchant Weapon - Healing Power (+55 Healing from MC) and Enchant Gloves - Healing Power (+30 Healing from AQ), please send them my way.
  8. I don't expect it to be the most powerful, but what disturbs me is the ability to dual wield, but perhaps they won't be able to use shields. We will see when the time comes. I am looking forward to seeing 10 man versions of the 25 man raids. This is something that they should've done in BC.
  9. Yay for 3 hour 15 minute clear... It would have been 3 hours but we wiped once on prince (and the only wipe at that) grats to everyone, and thanks to our replacements Kierthan, Baracko, and Chayel. We are now looking for 2 more people, one range DPS (Warlock prefered), and a healer/offhealer. Please sent me a pm on the forums, mail ingame, or reply in this thread if you are interested.
  10. Actually, I talked about that with bar and cal after the raid and we already thought of what you mentioned... we will be grabbing the MC breaking weapons and movin gthe ranged closer to kael'thas, but the rogues will still need to help out.
  11. I would like to congratulate everyone on our record 3.5 hour clear of karazhan, and we even had 2 replacements (Yay jiris and Tainish, the loot whore pair... just kidding, grats on the upgrades) I'm sure we can speed it up even more next week, lets aim for a 3 hour clear (must chain pull FASTER). For this run, we are looking for a healer (any class) or an offspec healer/dps (shadow priest, elemental shaman, boomkin druid, etc) for a more permanent role (a person that can show up regularly, and doesn't mind tossing out heals on certain encounters). We aren't worried about your current gear level, as you will probably soak up gear relatively quick. We start the run between 9:00 and 9:30 as stop when we kill every last boss in karazhan. We plan on eventually moving the run to the next level of content, whether it is ZA or picking up more for the intro 25 man content. The current roster (it varies somewhat between alts/etc) is: Kargoch - Protection Warrior MT(Kailand's meatshield) Ascoli - Protection Paladin OT Cresalia - Rogue (Holyssa's sneakyone) Kazragerg - Markman Hunter Takaas - Survival Hunter Jaryndis - Holy Paladin (Verissi's pocket paly) Maube - Frost Mage Greenspring - Restodruid (Scryll's healing wood) Tainish - Warlock Jiris - Priest (Super Healy Squishy of the *ris Sisters) Alternates: Chayel/Gordantells Family of alts, any other crusher who happens to be on Roster is now full. *edited to make note of the complete roster*
  12. Or you can ask a miner... alot of us are actually vendoring primal earths right now since we have too many stacks of them.
  13. Yes... I think this will lead to the death of arena... when the casuals can't get the gear, then they have no incentive, so they will stop. This will probably cause about 50+% of the teams to stop playing arenas, which will then cause all the teams above 1500 to start dropping. This means that the teams that were above 2000 currently will have to fight to be above 1800-1900 due to increased competition and not to mention longer arena queues due to lack of teams to face. And if you thought the queues were tough in BGs now... they will get worse as people won't be going for the new BG items that require arena ratings. This is thoroughly a dumb system due to the QQrs at the higher ranks of the Arena ladder, and it will bite them in the ass.
  14. I think you made bar's day, considering how he recently confessed his love of Tauren porn.
  15. Many of us still need to gain reputation in the eyes of the keepers of time, and so if we are not busy slaying other evils, we would welcome the chance to maintain the proper flow of time yet again to make sure the mighty warchief of the Horde is set free. All you need to do is ask those of us not busy with other tasks and I'm sure your fellow crushers will join you in battle. (I know ascoli (Paly tank), and nalexia (resto druid) would probably jump at the chance for the run, so make sure you ask them ingame. several of us are busy with raids monday, tuesday, and thursday, but I'm sure you can put together a warparty)

    warning

I have to agree with what a few are saying: you list something for 1 copper you risk losing it, and really there is nothing you can do about it, it doesn't even take a mod to do it, all it takes is coincidence. As what many are saying list it at value or slightly above so you are atleast guaranteed its value if someone else does purchase it. I don't really feel all that sorry for people who have lost items in this method, and although Epson was being a jerk about it, I don't see anything wrong with it. I know when I'm in booty bay(which I'm not at much)/tanaris I'll take a quick look to see if there is anything interesting, and if there is for a reasonable price I will buy it, with out thought to why it was there.
  17. oh no, not baracko in a schoolgirl outfit!
  18. Pinecone, like we said, it's a great idea. I think what most of us derailed this thread on was making it mandatory. I think 'Mandatory' in the sense that if all you are doing is questing/dailies/battlegrounds then yes you should participate if you have time, but if you have alternate plans already made (raid/RP event/ arena) then you should be allowed to do them. As this guild is a mixture of RPrs, Raiders, and PvPrs with wildly different ingame schedules it will be hard, if not impossible to create a time that will allow everyone to attend. As this is an RP server, I would hope that most somewhat enjoy the RP aspect, and will at least put forward an effort to RP (even if it isn't using RPspeak, as long as it is not in 1337 speak). That being said Pinecone, just set a day and time and say 'Heroic Day is on XXXX at YY:ZZ' and people will show up if they are interested. As for having stuff going everyday of the week, I disagree with you Pinecone, I think that is healthy and shows that we have lots of variety within the guild. Another thing, this goes to all others who are looking for opportunities for Raids/Instance runs/Questing help/RP sessions, if you want to participate in something and an opportunity isn't available create your own opportunities (i.e. make your own raid/instance groups/questing groups/RP sessions) and advertise it. If you are unsure on how to procede, there are several of us that are willing to help you, but you have to start helping yourself first. Hey, if you want to start an RP session, you can do an impromptu session pretty much any time in shattrath, and there would probably be half a dozen that may join you. And if you are planning something, don't worry about overlapping with another event! Nothing says we can't have two 25 man raids or multiple 10 man raids, or an RP session going at the same time. Additionally, nothing says that you have to do it with only guildies. We have several other guilds that we currently do activities with (although at the moment it seems to be purely raiding/instancing), but I'm sure they would be willing to do other events too. The Wow forums are an Ideal medium for posting a big RP event. Just a final note: Raiders need to do a significant amount of farming (about 1 hour for every hour in a raid is a good rule of thumb although that has improved dramatically with patch 2.4) in order to be able to afford to raid: we need to beable to pay for huge repair bills, and consummable cost. In my case I spend about 150 gold a night for farmed content, and 200-300 gold a night for kailand on progression content. Now that being said, I will still help people out with an instance run or do a guild event since my playing time is fairly high: I would just ask that for instance runs that you first ask people who might need the run, or need a quest done before asking me. I would rather nobody be left out because I went on normal instance run when that person would actually benefit more from it.
  19. As for nobody showing up: set a definate day and time! People will go if they know for sure when it will be, and don't worry about appeasing everyone. Gruul/Mags aren't so much as gear checks as they are skill checks. As long as everybody is in a mixture of level 70 blues and heroic/T4 epics it can be done. They require elements that you will see in T5 and T6 content: situational awareness, small group cohesion, individual skill and responsibility, and knowledge of your own class (how to DPS effectively/spam heal/tank/agro control). And pre-nerf I found the Magtheridon fight easier than Gruul, although more technical in nature. Good call going to ZA.... most of that gear is around the T5 level, and the encounters are tough - Nalorrak is a tank gear/skill check, and a healer skill check. The others are DPS/group makeup/skill checks. And Malacrass.... Malacrass is arguably the hardest boss I've ever seen, and makes Zul'jin seem like a cakewalk in comparison. If your group can handle ZA then they should have no problem with Gruul/Mags/SSC/TK when another run eventual occurs. Aditionally if I am available, I'd be willing to participate (on either Kailand or Kargoch) assuming that there isn't other people who want to see the content and it's on a day where I can.
  20. It's a great idea. I tried to lead the previous heroic tuesday, but there was no interest what so ever... I think the biggest turnout I had was 3 people. That being said, I would encourage you to try again, as we have many new crushers, and some new badge rewards, so interest should be higher now. Sounds like a good idea in principal, but it should be up to that individual whether they attend or not. Most of the raids that our members are running with at the moment are multi-guild affairs, and is it fair to those others in that raid if crushers are forced to not go and have the raid cancelled, or on the otherside if a crusher really wants to go to an instance or a raid with some other friends/guilds, do we force them to choose to gquit in order to go? I believe in guild activities and cohesion but making things mandatory makes many things feel like chores, and detracts from the fun of the game. *shameless plug* Also we already have a weekly get together sunday mornings (well, from about 8:30 am to about 1:30pm): our Twinky 20's. skill level doesn't matter, plus we are willing to pull you through lower level instances multiple times to get your character to level 29 and geared up. My suggestion for those interested is to level your character to about 24 or so, then choose the gear you want to use (http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/itemadvsearch.html?x helps) and we will help you get it. TS isn't required but is highly suggested (it's a fun time hearing baracko-aka smirky cursing). If you are worried about the cost of a twink, it's relatively cheap (I think I spent about 300 gold, most spend less). If you don't know which class you want to use, or just want to use the current OP class - hunters are kicking our butts alot, an enhancement shammy can be a powerhouse, and is a brutal flag carrier, shadow priests hurt, druids of all sorts are pains, or become a bubbledin. If you are interested create a character and level him a bit. when they approach that low to mid twenties level, let verissi (or one of his army of alts), baracko, myself, or scryll know and we can arrange some help.
  21. *looks around for an infinite amount of monkeys on an infinite amount of typewriters* Sounds like a great idea... unfortunately I'm not all that good at creative writing, but I'm sure that we have others in the clan that are.
  22. That might be the reason for the cleave: to wave away thier bad breath. I really feel sorry for Calandor and Holyssa, may they bring tic tacs to use against the nagas. All wackiness aside, Waldonnis is right - situational awareness and personal responsibility is key. We need to stop making excuses and do our jobs. We have managed to finally get the top under control, so now other hidden issues in regards to situational awareness are appearing. The key thing is to look around, and take all the information in: striders are the biggest thing around - if you can't move out of thier way in time then you aren't paying attention. if you notice that you are always in the way between the strider and the center then you need to reposition yourself (same thing applies to nagas). Also (i'm not sure on this) the elementals may spawn from specific points along the sides, so take note of them and position your self to optimally DPS them down from thier spawning points. If for some reason you aren't doing your assigned job properly, and someone else in the raid has to compensate, then you are taking them away from thier assigned task. As for standing in the poop: we've all done it on occassion, but the key thing is notice that you are in it ASAP, and move - do not stop to finish casting or to get in one more hit, but MOVE!. This applies to bomb type debuffs (another mechanic blizzard seems to like) such as the one for solarion and vashj: your extra 1 second worth of casting/dpsing isn't going to make a difference except you will kill off fellow raid members and waste healer mana. I'm willing to put up with the occasional mistakes that causes a wipe as long as that person learns from it, and the rest of us learn from it too, but if you aren't correcting it, then you are a liability. and to reiterate Waldonnis' point we are probably overgeared compared to most groups for this encounter (it's been done with T3 geared groups, and groups with most of the people still in kara/level 70 instance blues.)
  23. The way AV is now a slow win will beat a fast loss, hell, a slow loss where we capture objectives beats a fast lost for honor per hour, especially if you consider queue times, etc. And horde could barely win races pre 2.4 (with luck and some D to slow alliance down) but with 2.4 we are gauranteed a loss in a race match. The most fun way of winning is to defend IBGY from the initial ally rush, cap SF and SH, then start on bal/towers. after that defend the SHGY choke point and push for the bunkers with stealthers, and SP/SPAS with the O. following this strat you end up with around 500 bonus honor, plus ungodly honor from HKs. This was also the strategy horde in other battlegroups were using to farm AV pre 2.4 where alliance premades in full season 3/t6 were getting torn apart by horde pugs in greens and blues (except they would capture SH and use that choke point from the start of the match), and was the reason for moving the horde cave back. A fast loss means that you aren't killing anything and aren't taken objectives, and with alliance starting to defend bal, we don't even have that 'fall back' bonus honor. It was also the reason why even WSG was giving more honor per hour than AV before the patch. I'm also with scryll, I like to win, but I also like to crush the alliance at the same time, as well as getting maximum honor and minimizing theirs.
  24. Hi, I found this while browsing the forums. It's interesting in the fact that scorched earth defence, and capping all graveyards does lead to better honor as it is supposed to. so next time you are in AV and people don't D galv or cap SF/SH, let them know they are missing out on some nice bonus honor. http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.h...77767&sid=1
