Zuworty, you are the raid leader. You do have power if you choose to use it. Look what a little bit of the dkp stick did Thursday night. If we're going to be serious about trying to do Ulduar hard modes and get an Algalon key, we do need to have people in the raid that are serious about trying. Talk to your Class Leaders. They know who's working to improve themselves, staying out of bad stuff, pissing and moaning about working in Ulduar, etc. All of you make an evaluation and decide which direction to go. Yes, that puts each of us on the carpet to possibly be replaced, but as much as I'd like to move ahead, I don't want to be the one holding the group back. One more item I'd like an opinion on from our leaders. In my opinion, if you're one of those players who's saving your dkp to spend ONLY on trophies or best in slot items.......YOU MAY BE HURTING THE RAID. For those fights where we need just a little bit more dps/healing, an intermediate upgrade, properly gemmed and enchanted, might just get us over the hump. So you're not first in line for the next best in slot or trophy. There will always be others.

Zuworty, I think we need to have another discussion here about what we want to accomplish as a group. I thought our goal at this point was to do the Hard Modes and get a key to Algalon. We are not going to accomplish this if we have people who are bored and only show up because they don't want to miss out on dkp/loot. For myself, I'm tired of hearing about the cost of repairs/consumables, wiping, and how people are bored and don't want to be in Ulduar. Some of us think that the added challenges of the hard modes and achievements are fun. If we're going to do these, we need to have all our members on board. Hard modes are HARD and require all of us to pay attention and try our best. We are going to wipe while we learn. If you don't want to be in Ulduar, please just sit yourself out and give the rest of us a chance to reach the goals. I hate to see us leave this instance, like we did the Black Temple, because people have the attention span of gnats and want to quit when there's no loot left in it for them. On the other hand, if we're just going to be a casual raid that's satisfied with having defeated Yogg-Saron once and just wants to farm ToC for emblems, we need to have that stated too.

My two cents: It seems things got out of hand last night. Let's please keep the criticism/hate to a minimum. If a player needs to be called out, let Zuworty or their leads do it. Let's not see it in raid chat or hear it in teamspeak from random raid members. It seems to me that we can't be too hard on the dps right now. As long as we're trying to gear replacements, the regulars aren't gearing up at the pace they should be. It's kind of a Catch 22 while we're gearing placements. We're going to have to be patient while we get everyone up to speed. Also, a lot of the new people don't know the encounters the way the regulars do. That, too, slows things down while everyone gets to the same place on the learning curve. We do need to have a talk with some of the new people. I see a lot of total selfishness when it comes to grabbing every shiny in sight. It makes me a sad panda. The tone of the raid has changed in a bad way.

I'd like to suggest to all of you that we let our Raid Leader get the next Algalon key quest. He's very generous to just throw it out there for a roll of the dice, but somehow it just seems right that Kailand should have a key.

It was great fun and I, too, want to thank the stunted tree for joining us. I know Kadiana is sad she didn't get to play in the fire.

Just my two cents.... I think this is a bit much. Everyone works on collecting emblems of triumph as they can. Some of us have lives, Karrock, and don't always have the opportunity to run the daily heroic every day. If you are fortunate to have both a 10 and 25 man raid, they do add up quickly. I'd like to see everyone get a trophy and then start through the list again. It would distribute the T9 pieces more evenly and gear us all up as we go.

*brain explodes* What's with all the mail about raids being cancelled and then having them on the calendar? Are we on or off for the month of September?

I have to admit that although I read up on the fights, a lot of it just doesn't sink in until I've seen it a couple of times. Comes of being a Senior Citizen, I guess. I like trying new things whether it's ToC, hard modes, Achievements, etc. Again, whatever the groups wants to do is fine with me. I'm open to an suggestions any one has that would help me do better outside of the obvious two: STAY OUT OF BAD ###### AND DON'T DIE. Personally, I'd rather not go to a third night. With two nights in this raid, and two nights in Kailand's 10 man, that's plenty of raiding for me on a weekly basis. There are things to do outside WoW. Having said all this, you're the raid leader, Zuworty. If I'm hurting the raid, or keeping it from progressing, please just tell me and pick up someone that can help you move along. It was much better last night without all the hate. Whatever it takes, let's try to keep it that way.

I like the idea of working on Hard Modes, seeing the new Trial, and the new VoA boss when he's up. As we go through, when we have bosses we HAVE to tackle, like '"OBLIVION!", we could work on some of the Achievements, like not getting hit by the eye beam. I'm pretty flexible though and will come along and heal no matter what the objectives.

I left Destinystar an ingame mail telling them that tonight's raid was off and we'd see them at 7:30 Sunday. Hope your internet is back up by then! You were missed last night.

Okay. Logged out in healing spec and gear. I'm open to suggestions. I've been gunning for Kadiana in a siege engine, but I'm game for any place you want to put me. I'd love to do 25 man VoA before or after the raid, Karrock. I still want my pants, gloves and that mount.
