  2. Today, EA SPORTS revealed their prediction for the outcome of the highly anticipated Super Bowl XLII game. Based on simulations using the award winning Madden NFL 08 video game, the New England Patriots were victorious over the New York Giants by a narrow margin of eight points with a final score of 38-30. Over the past five years, EA SPORTS has a perfect record predicting the winner of the Super Bowl. The Madden NFL 08 engine simulated the game based on each team’s roster and their players’ statistics. Using the most current information available, the Patriots and the Giants went head-to-head in a computer-generated match up. The New England Patriots came out on top, making them the first team in NFL history to record a perfect 19-0 season. The simulated game got off to a very close start with two touchdowns by Patriots running back Laurence Maroney and three field goals by Giant’s kicker Lawrence Tynes. Late in the third quarter, the Patriots led by only one, 24-23. They were able to add to their lead with a 31-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Tom Brady to wide receiver Randy Moss. Entering the fourth quarter, the Giants trailed 31-23 with an opportunity to tie-up the game with a big drive. But instead, a tipped pass by quarterback Eli Manning was picked off by Patriots cornerback Asante Samuel. The Patriots scored with their possession from the turnover, increasing their lead to 38-23. The Giants scored one last time and the game ended 38-30. Super Bowl XLII kicks off Sunday, February 3rd at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. We will then know whether EA SPORTS has extended their own winning streak using the Madden NFL engine to predict Super Bowl champions. Guess I covered da spread!!!!

  17. Physical - Brenel Earthsoul stands an imposing 7 feet 8 inches from hoof to mane. Especially proud of his warfiled tusks, Brenel can be seen wearing leather based clothes from animals he has bested. His lumbering Tauron gait quickly changes into his cat sprint when he assumes the shape that he likes the best. The sheer feeling of agilty and speed of his cat form give him great pleasure. Intellectual- Although Brenel fashions himself an intellectual (witness his constant ramblings to his guildmates), he remains a simple being surrounded by complexity. He leans on his ally, Marcos, to teach him the ways of the world, but he would not admit that to any Crusher. His mental ability remains relatively dulled, but his constant interaction with others make him yearn to better himself. He hides his feelings of intellectual inferiority with loud outbursts of tauron bravado. Personality- Brenel is a very cheerful sod. Left to his own, he would be content rambling the hills of his home, Mulgore, searching for berries. Proud of his Tauron heritage and spirituality, Brenel is quick to chide others that he feels do not share his feelings toward the Earth Mother. Fiercly loyal to allies, Brenel will risk anything to help a comrade. Even though Marcos, his best friend, ia a shifty elf, Brenel has seen enough of Marcos to know that he can count on him in a pinch. He repays this aid with a deep level of commitment, even though he is quick to shame Marcos for any shortcomings. Past history- forthcoming!
  18. *Benim sheds a tear remembering the good times* Good luck to ya, Ghules! Even Benim has to step away now and then to regain perspective People some time wonder why my characters don't race up the level ladder- exactly for the reasons ya describe. I remember that ST run- exactly the reason that I keep playing. Fun times with good people. We will have yer place at the table ready fer ya when ya come back to dinner!
  19. Aleis gazed across the Gulch. Something was different today. The alliance had never posted any challenge to Aleis and the rest of the Horde guard. Today, however, they were fighting with incredible intensity..... At the tender age of 39, Aleis already had put over 19 thousand alliance in the grave. It was a history he was proud of. Mainly solitary in nature, he had become obsessed with meeting the alliance at every opportunity and thwarting their plans of expansion in the Gulch and the Basin. While other horde around him strived to grow stronger to seek newer lands, Aleis was consumed with driving the alliance scum back into their graves. It was a chore he relished and quite frankly, was an easy one. The alliance never fought with any battle plan; they were routinely thrashed with very little effort. "Aleis," Tigeris grabbed him by the arm, jolting him out of his reverie, " I see not Barundar amongst the alliance! Who leads the enemy today?" Aleis spoke slowly, considering his words. "Barundar is not here today. This is not a battleclan we have seen before..." he ended. Aleis strode to the edge of the outcropping they stood upon. Even though he had traveled the Gulch for 20 years, there was something very wrong with the way he perceived it today. The surroundings were the same, but he sensed that a major change had occurred. "Tigeris, gather the others together at our tunnel entrance," Aleis called out, "We must consider a more organized approach today. We will not be victorious this afternoon by just running the scum down one by one." Tigeris turned and sprinted toward the Horde base. Aleis was jolted from behind. Stunned, he could not move his legs. A hazy outline of a figure circled his body. The alliance assasin moved in for the kill...

Anyone have a link for any info on this?? I don't wanna put anymore honor into gear that might be updated!!
