  1. Great night everyone, we got the classic raids out of the way (MC/BWL/AQ40/AQ20) as well as ZA... next week, Burning Crusade raids. Thanks for letting skywatcher and myself tame a bunch of pets: Skywatcher got chromaggus, I got the Blue Bug (Princess Yauj) and the funky wasp (Princess Huhuran)
  2. Now you are talking! they add that as a minor glyph... although an aura would be nice too.
  3. I'm somewhat happy, yet sad at this potential change, just like the removal of having to level your pets. It makes it easier to get/drop pets, and that's also the bad thing. Oh well, time to figure out which pet has the largest model, and use that outside of raids, Rwar! And that also means that hunters only have one meaningful minor glyph, feign dead, considering all the rest are pretty much worthless. Go Go Big pet filler glyph! Hrm, I wonder if this means that a spore bat can pwn better now.
  4. Please, if you are interested, please signup in game, there is an event on the calendar. If you aren't sure you can make it, you can always click tentative.
  5. we also have 5000 gold in the raid bank to spend on mats, etc. if needed (I kept 5000 back for this purpose).
  6. no problem, its just a pet switch, and draegloth gets to slack off a bit.
  7. Hi, I'm going to start an achievement oriented retrorun. We will run Monday nights, 8:00pm until about 11:00pm, starting on March 14th. Since we will be going for the guild achievements as well as individual achievements, I'm going to limit people to mainly guildies... although if the numbers allow us, I will take non-guildies. I know there are some people that are in raid at that time, but its the only free time on my schedule, so that's when I'm running it . For the legendaries... Ascoli is pretty close to shadowmourne, Kadi is half way to the ulduar healing legendary, and we still need the legendary bow from sunwell, and the glaives from black temple. As for the instances we hit up first... depends on howmany sign up. Kailand
  8. Not a bad night tonight, got the first encounter down relatively fast, and for the most part learned phase 1 of al'akir. certain people need to get MUCH better at avoiding tornadoes... you should know who you are. in phase 2, everyone should hammer the adds when they spawn... once we get that down, we will worry about timing thier deaths to stack up the debuff on the boss. Sorry about getting a bit testy there at the end, I was just getting a little frustrated, as I'm sure you all were. The plan is to due the baradin hold, the first 5 bosses in BWD, and then work on Throne of winds... after throne of winds we will move on to bastion of twighlight. If after a few weeks we do not get down al'akir (and if we aren't really making progress on him), then we will skip him for a bit and head for bastion of twilight. For next week, lets see who does better, Kadiana, or the people who have already seen al'akir (i.e. don't get mocked by kadi).
  9. big shoulders ug, big shoulders.
  10. Throne of the Four Winds tonight. The first encounter (The Conclave of Wind) Doesn't look too difficult, but requires people to have some coordination. Here is a video http://www.tankspot.com/showthread.php?72598-The-Conclave-of-Wind. For this fight there are three platforms, and a boss on each platform. You can travel between the platforms through wind tunnels (similar to Vortex Pinnacle). if any platform is left empty with a boss alive on it, it wipes the raid, and all bosses must die within a minute of eachother. In addition each boss has an energy meter that once filled causes them to do an ultimate attack (and they happen at the same time. We will put a DPS capable of self healing (Draegloth) and a healer on Rohash (Wind dude, mixture of Lurker below, and Malygos). Avoid tornadoes, and he'll do a slow spinning thing similar to that of lurker... don't stand infront of the boss when this happens, just run around him. His ultimate ability tosses people in the air in a hurricane, similar to Malygos' Vortex ability, for moderate damage. A tank and a healer will start on Nezir (Frost dude). He does a conal frost attack and leaves ice puddles that cause frost damage and a slow. He also has an abbility that causes a stacking debuff which increases frost damage by %10 per stack. his ultimate ability is a big aoe which causes 30000 damage per second oover 15 seconds... this is divided among everyone on the platform. Everyone else will be on Anshal (Nature Dude). With Anshal, he will spawn adds periodically, they are the first priority for the DPS to kill. Keep the boss and the adds away from the green poop the boss plops down - it acts as a silence and heals the baddies in it (and we don't mean you Orcala ). His ultimate ability is a huge heal and a damage buff. The current tank will need to pop cooldowns for that. Pretty much the way the fight will progress is we start out on our designated platforms. at 75/90 energy, the tanks/healers will swap platforms between Anshal and Nezir, and all DPS will move to Nezir's Platform (so that the aoe damage is split 7 ways, which means everyone will take roughly 70k damage) and DPS Nezir. After the AoE, the DPS go back to their original platform, and the tank/healers stay on their current platform until the next swap. The only person that stays on thier platform is the Rohash healer (although if required, the rohash healer may jump to the Anshal platform after the ultimate ability, once their DPS is back to top off the rest of the DPS, or we might keep draegloth on wind dude, and have the healer jump over for AoE heals during the frost ultimate ability, we will see how things go). Kill order is Anshal/Nezir, and lastly Rohash. The Last encounter (Al'Akir). Here is a video: http://www.tankspot.com/showthread.php?72900-Al-Akir 3 phase fight. First phase (%100-80, ranged and healers at range (he does a silence in close), watch your agro. Also spread out... go healer/ranged/healer/ranged/healer/ranged, so that few people are hit by his lightning attack at a time (called lightning strike), as well as having everyone in range of one healer. He does an Icestorm, which leaves a path of ice on the ground you get slowed and take damage if in it. He also does squall line, which is a line of tornadoes with a gap in it. Pretty much as the tornadoes approach you, stand in the gap to take no damage, similar to sartharion's flame wave. Finally there is wind burst, which is a 5 second cast, which at the end does a big knock back - at the start of the cast, everyone needs to hug the boss, or get booted out of the nest. Phase two (%80-25) has the electrocute, and the squall line. He also summons some adds, which when killed causes the boss to take more damage (this debuff stacks, which we want). When they spawn we will kill the ASAP and then swap back to the boss. Also in this phase there is a soft enrage mechanic... a raid wide nature damage increasing debuff called acid rain. Basically we need to transition the boss before we die. Note that we will be in a loose clump for AoE healing. Phase three (%25-looting). everyone floats in the air spread out in a loose clump and preferably at the same altitude. We will start near the bottom of the environment. Durign this phase he does a chain lightning, and an ability called lightning rod (similar to electrotrons AoE). When you get lightning rod back, move out of the raid to avoid killing people. He will also cast a lightning cloud, when he does this move up until you are out of it. Slow moving is death. He uses his wind burst in this phase, instant cast. when knocked back, just move back to your position.
  11. We managed to scrounge up a priest (Wialt's Priest, whose raid ready) for next week. Thanks to the people who were said that they could if we couldn't find anyone else.
  12. Just want to add, we have quite a few people missing on the thursday, so it'll just be the tuesday that we will need an extra healer for.
  13. Hi, I'm looking for a substitute healer for next week's raids (22nd and 24th, 8:00pm-11:00pm) since Uglutz has to work. If you are interested in healing, please be at least 346 geared and post a response to this post. The goal is to do blackwing decent, and baradin hold if we have it. We have gotten 4 bosses down in blackwing decent (Magmaw/Omnitron/Maloriak/Atremedes), but if we need to due to ID's of a substitute, etc, we would also be willing to venture into Bastion of Twilight. From Kailand
  14. Great news, cauldron is unlocked now! In the next few days I'll decide on who brings when flasks. We will need 3 cauldrons a night (7 1.5 hour flasks per cauldron, 2 flasks per person over 3 hours, is 20 flasks). a cauldron takes 4 flasks (one of each type - sta, str, agi, int) and some other minor stuff. So thats 12 flasks the raid needs to bring per night... thats 24 for a week. which is roughly 2-3 flasks per person per week. Now we have 3 agi users, 1 str user, 2 sta users, and 1 int user, plus the healers (not sure if they use spi or int, but the cauldron provides spi flasks as far as I can tell for healing specs). so to be fair, I'll be splitting up people to bring not necesarily thier own buff flask so that we have everyone more or less bringing an equal amount of flasks for the raid. A bonus is a flask master can proc extra cauldrons when making them. I'll get back to you guys soon.
  15. Great Job everyone, Atramedes down, and we are getting better on the other fights too. that leaves 2 more, read up on Chimaeron and Nefarian. Also take a look at how many valor points you have and the vendor... the vendor sells 3 pieces of T11, rings, trinkets, necks, cloaks and other stuff.
  16. ... I blame uglutz fer dah lack ov Kookies in dah Kamp! If we only had moar scrunchies to burn.... *looks at the evil scrunchie castle, also known as Kadiana's tent* Demz all must burn! *Looks at Kalea wielding her spoon like a legendary mace*.... maybe next time. *Looks at Varanthas, Gnat, and Lintalus* Welkum... agh see wut we huv to put up wid? Kookie shortage due to surplus scrunchies! *storms off to gather more ingredients*
  17. Hi guys, Going to cancel Tuesday's Raid (Feb 8th) for two reasons... Uglutz can't make it, and it is patch day, and I'm expecting a lot of stuff to be broken/people need to learn new rotations/specs/etc. We will try to turbo through on thursday. From Kailand. P.S. It may be nice for us to get a few heroics to test out stuff if the servers are online.
  18. lol, if only the spore bat had those abilities
  19. Roterakete - german for red rocket
  20. Oh, there is one thing I just remembered I wanted to say... there was some talk among a few of us on consilidating responsibilites for mats/crafting/etc. How would people think if we made a few of us responsibile for holding mats of a particular type for the raid, i.e. flasks via uglutz, LW via me, ench via zu, etc? also there are some of us that come across food buff mats easier for a particular role than others... I'd like us to share as much as possible. Lets try to pool our resources. let me know what you think guys.
  21. I can live with 1 new boss a week down, but I'd like to see cleaner kills on the first two... which means more avoiding bad stuff on the ground/kiting slimes when they target you/don't stand in the fire/moving when you get the debuff/run from the sound. But we are getting better at it... WotLK spoiled us a bit much I think in that regard. Everyone should read up on Chimaeron, as well as clarify themselves on Atramedes.
  22. I only have 1 weapon at moment and so if I were to enchant it it'd either be a DPS or Healer enchant. I don't really care which, but I was waiting to see what my predominant role was going to be before blowing away a bunch of mats. I think that for the time being a healer enchant would be more appropriate. Got the food, the enchants are no problem but the flasks are a bit problematic. I'm wondering if anyone else was in the same boat as me: Basically I don't have an herbalist nor an alchemist which means that I have 0 access to the mats and other things required to help make flasks. Normally in WotLK I'd just buy the materials or the flasks. However this time around I'm noticing the flasks are sold for near 200g/ea (I'll have to check again). That's 200g per hour * 6 = 1.2k gold per week. That is a budget I'm having a real hard time funding. I'd basically have to devote all my playing time simply gathering gold to buy flasks. What acceptable alternatives are there? Are WotLK flasks acceptable? I do agree that flasks are unrealistically expensive right now... but once we get cauldrons our costs will be cut down dramatically (to the point where each person only needs to supply one flask a night to make enough for one night), so overall its better to get some cataclysm flasks made up from buying herbs, but I won't seriously press the issue until after the patch comes out (I expect it will happen in a week or two) when flasks will be reduced in mat requirements, but I'd like it if you were at least using wrath flasks on the easier stuff, and cataclysm flasks for more challenging content (i.e. if we are seeing 1-5% wipes and people aren't flasked using cata flasks, and other situations). Also periodically look at the AH for the herbs used to make your flask.... if you see stacks for cheap, pick them up. I've found that on weekends herbs tend to be less expensive than the week on the AH... BTW we are at 376/1000 for the cauldron. I'd like it if everyone in the raid could get mats for 50 flasks... that would drive us closer to the cauldron, and its not like they would go to waste. It's probably best if people had atleast 3-4 cataclysm flasks made each week until the patch. Later on, we will need even less flasks for raiding as we get into more guild perks (to the point where people will only need to bring 3 flasks to make the cauldron for 4 nights or raiding). to Summarize, yes, it is going to be damn expensive in the short term, but in the long term everyone will save once we get the cauldron.
  23. Ok, I was doing a quick inspection of everyone prior to the raid today. Just using armory's built in checker( url is http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/argent-dawn/YOURNAMEHERE/advanced , replace YOURNAMEHERE with your name), several of you are missing enchants still (including the belt buckle). Come on guys, enchant up, bring your flasks and food. You can check to see if you are missing anything, just armory yourself, and click on advanced, and it gives you a list of things you are missing, like gems/enchants. Don't wait for epic gear drops... and if you are having issues with mats/finding crafters, let me know. These are things that we should all do in order to make those boss fights that much easier and and progress faster. Fix these issues by thursday at the latest... (and hopefully by tonight). I'll make sure I have some extra enchanting mats in my mail box to help out zuworty getting people enchanted... and visit the AH for your belt buckle, or get one of our blacksmithers to make it for you. visit the AH for herbs so Uglutz can make you flasks and we get closer to the cauldron. I can make the Physical DPS leg kit.... The tanking leg kit is the next item for purchase for me. Zuworty and Draegloth are tailors, but I'm not sure if they know both leg kits (healer/caster). People Passing the audit fully: Kailand, Holyssa, Draegloth Orcala just needs to work on LW for the bracer self enchant... minor issue People Failing the audit: Uglutz - missing 3 enchants (boots/bracers/legs), missing belt buckle. Sardaukkar - missing 2 enchants (chest/shoulders), missing belt buckle, could be using 2 more JC gems, but not a major issue. People Failing the audit in a different spec that will be used eventually in the raid: Zuworty - missing 1 enchant (weapon), missing belt buckle for DPS spec (minor issue at the moment as we are using 3 healers currently in BWD) Ascoli - missing 2 enchants (chest/legs) for DPS spec (minor issue at the moment - but there is one 1 tank fight coming up) People in offspec/etc so I couldn't check fully Kadiana, Skywatcher
  24. Great night tonight guys! 2 bosses down and quite a bit of work down on a third. Next week, lets repeat magmaw and omnotrom, and get maloriak down. Make sure you get your flasks made and have food ready. the boss we will do after Maloriak is atramedes so look his abilities up. the WMO page is: http://www.wowmeteronline.com/browse/guild.../32819#calendar
