  1. I personally prefer rolling to a DKP system. It's unworkable in the 40-mans, just too many people and chances for abuse, but I think it still works with raids of only 20 people. Of course I'm somewhat biased. I don't particularly like AQ20 but I'm often in Silithus when you guys are running it, and come in to replace people who've had to leave early, which means I benefit from a roll-off system quite a bit more than I would from DKP.
  2. Since Huato and den Greenbull muved on ta greener pastures, da only major blacksmith me know in da guild be Smedlock. Vyynn be wurking up too, but dems de only ash dat really make dur skills known.
  3. Congratulations on getting Bradius back, Jero. I'd offer to make you some green or blue gear, but I suspect you can do better than the Green Iron Bracers which are the best warrior gear in my alts' repetoire at present.
  4. Crik, do you want me to start trying to run with you guys regularly?
  5. Baracko's quite right. I load KLH up when prepping for Onyxia, and turn if off when we're done. Never use it any other time so it doesn't take up my precious cycles. There are times I'd like to use it in the Core, too, but I don't have the cycles for it then, and so it stays off.

    SKAH!

Civ 4? Alpha Centauri? Hark, what is it I see? What about Heroes of Might & Magic, or older games like Birth of the Federation? Normally speaking, Roleplaying is just that thing I do when I am not doing Strategy games. I am a strategy gamer first and foremost. WoW's taken over my free time, true, but I haven't changed. The question was about Civ4. I would love to, but can't during the day. HoMM2&3 don't run on my computer anymore. I finally got rid of the cds and manuals ~ a month ago. I got rid of BotF much earlier, it was buggier than **** and never got adequate post-release support.

    SKAH!

Never did ge the Multiplayer to work right, and the game is slow as hell, anyway. Looks like it was a good thing I went back to fiddle with Alpha Centauri last nigt *good fiddle, too. Took me a while to get a decent start going, but after I did, the next time I looked up the sun had risen*
  8. I'm certain that's the major explanation. Majordomo is one of the worst cases because it takes some time to set up in addition to being explained, compared to Golemagg or Shazzrah. Garr's the only one with equivalent prep time.
  9. You're one of those demon Mac-users, Raeda? *faces falls as his illusions are destroyed* Damn you, heretic, damn you to hell!

    Ventrilo

That used to happen to me, though it didn't tonight. No idea what fixed it or if the fix is permanent. And if volumes don't start settling down, I can't find myself supporting a shift. I was getting a lot more "cover my ears" noise from Vent tonight than I get from TS.
  11. So, just who in the guild has this baby?
  12. How about some Black Lotus for Flasks, Maube? I'll continue working on the Dreamfoil, as always, but grinding out 5+stacks a week is wearing me down.
  13. I don't know if we had Nightfin last week, but I know it's already been gathered for next week. I handed out 20 mana pots to our healers last week, and hope to do the same this week. What concerned me were consumables for melee DPS. I didn't see much in the way of Giant Strength, Firewater, or Mongoose on people last week.
  14. And one of the rogues *looks around, embarrased* Never laid a single point on him. And I hadn't switched my gear around after the buff, so I had 320 FR when he punted me. And Jero, I was also out of trade distance. I'd just forgotten that the corner I chose was always in range of him.
  15. Oh my, that had me just cracking up. I appreciate people who are willing to look really stupid and have a great time doing so.
  16. My friends, I seek to have a Deviate Scale Belt made for one of my wardens, the hunter Narlla. To make it I need eight more Perfect Deviate Scales, but the stubborn things have refused to drop for me in the Wailing Caverns. The two I possess I have only because Odenn gave them to me. If you have a skinner *the drop chance from skinning is almost twice that of a loot drop* and have some spare time, help an olog out and find my some Perfect Deviate Scales.
  17. Dere be any limit ta da numba uf petishuns ash can make?
  18. Me nub know. Me willin ta do many tings fer dis clan, but ash talent shuw? *winces* Me tink dat go beyund da call uf duty.

    Raids

The problem with that is that our sign-ups/people who actually make it online are still a bit low. We need to pick up others most weeks, and it's harder to do that when we're running DKP and/or minimum attendance.

    Raids

Guess I'll be on those BoE crusades...along with a good chunk of the raid. Is there some big rush to the finish line going on that nobody mentioned to me before as a participant in the raid? Perhaps it's time I rethink why I'm in Molten Core, because I thought it was for fun with others, not some insane progression pace that leaves many to flounder in relative "crusade" PuGs or a second raid for their gear. Look, I agree that killing Ragnaros will be a big morale booster, and I'm all for getting as many attempts as possible at him, but my concerns are stability of raid participation and gear improvement overall (making for better attempts). The more geared we all are, the easier it becomes, as we've seen so far. I just wanted to point out that we'd be sacrificing some opportunity for the sake of time...and I'm personally not sure it's worth it at this stage. Oh, and you never "graduate" from MC...we'll all end up back in there time and time again. I know people that have been trying for the better part of a year to get their pants from Rags... I understand the hesitancy, V, but... wasn't part of the reason we initiated things like chain-pulling because we viewed the idea of clearing MC in one day as a good thing? As much as we all like each other and love doing things like MC as a group, two four-hour chunks is hefty and fairly inflexible scheduling committment, particularly for those with families (and graveyard shift jobs, which I recall at least two of our regular priests have). This isn't a one-day approach, of course, but innovations like the summon thing strike me as giving us more breathing room and that seems to me to be more sane, pace-wise.

    40 mans no more

Now I'm confused. Wasn't the first dungeon that they announced for the expansion, Medivh's Tower, going to be a 40-man?
  22. *ahem* Respected Elder? Me nub see my name der.
  23. Yes, she will. I remember when Gordantell was taking over for her and trying to get ready before she left on her Honeymoon. We thought she had to go to the bathroom during the Core Packs, she was twitching so much.
  24. If you still need 'em tomorrow, I've got some Greater Protection potions you can use, Odenn.
  25. In addition to the ones Maube listed, Crikrunner can make the chest and leggings, and Depaa can make both of those and the shoulders as well. Mats for all three are 24 rugged leather (8/6/10), 3 essence of fire (one each), 2 essence of earth (chest and shoulders), one core of earth (legs), and four rune thread (1/1/2)
