Sorry Molox I dont believe that there is a parent in history that said 'I wish I held my child less' when they are all grown up =p Spoiling is giving children things they dont need because they demand them. and well - I was ignored while a child by my parents so I can relate to the wanting affection all the time =p I'm just flat worn out because of the lack of sleep. he slept 10 hours in the past 24 and that isnt good heh Oh and before I hear another 'Just let him cry' This kid doesnt cry... he howls. He turns purple, vomits, then chokes on the vomit, and claws up his face and neck. Oh and he wont tire of it either. His record is 3 hours of nonstop crying. Once he starts sleeping again things will get better - at least I hope so!
  2. Well hello again folks - its been a while and things are not settling down =/ Gabe is currently a major terror refusing to be out of my arms for any length of time. it is driving me batty. He is no longer sleeping at night either - so I am hoping the ped. will have some idea what is going on. No toothies have popped through yet - but still lots of gnawing and drooling. He hasnt met a solid food he doesnt like - but his favorite is sweet potatoes and also bananas. He has been chewing a little on cantalope =) He is screaming behind me right now - so unfortunatly this little blurp isnt that long - so take care folks - hope to chat with ya'll again soon! And happy halloween!
  3. Hey there guys - teething is in full swing - we can see two little nubs under his gums now so any day (hopefully sooner) he will pop those pearly whites through - goodness knows he is grumpy! Anyway - Gabe was entered in a photo contest and needs your votes! From today October 1st through the 15th - vote every day! http://evenfloadmin.donet.com/Homepage/200...10/Default.aspx Much appreciated I'll have more time to check in later - got a grumpy baby on my hands
  4. And here is the obligatory bunny with a pancake on his head!
  5. dragonmount.com « Older Entries | Sometimes even when you’ve fought your best…. Posted by Wilson on September 16th, 2007 in the Robert Jordan's Blog category It is with great sadness that I tell you that the Dragon is gone. RJ left us today at 2:45 PM. He fought a valiant fight against this most horrid disease. In the end, he left peacefully and in no pain. In the years he had fought this, he taught me much about living and about facing death. He never waivered in his faith, nor questioned our God’s timing. I could not possibly be more proud of anyone. I am eternally grateful for the time that I had with him on this earth and look forward to our reunion, though as I told him this afternoon, not yet. I love you bubba. Our beloved Harriet was at his side through the entire fight and to the end. The last words from his mouth were to tell her that he loved her. Thank each and everyone of you for your prayers and support through this ordeal. He knew you were there. Harriet reminded him today that she was very proud of the many lives he had touched through his work. We’ve all felt the love that you’ve been sending my brother/cousin. Please keep it coming as our Harriet could use the support. Jason will be posting funeral arrangements. My sincerest thanks. Peace and Light be with each of you, Wilson Brother/Cousin 4th of 3 To Catalyst: Never, never loose faith. RJ did not. Harriet hasn’t. I haven’t. Going through what we have, our faith is only strengthened. Besides, if God didn’t exist, we would have never had Jim. We did. God does. Remember my Brother/Cousin, my friend, think of him fondly and glorify God’s name. Editor’s Note: The entire staff of Dragonmount.com would like to extend its most deepest sympathies to Robert Jordan’s family. He touched all of our lives in some way and we wish him the rest and peace he deserves. We will be posting information in the near future about where you can send condolences. 6. My Father had a similar issue a few months ago - turns out he had a nasty worm virus that detectors couldnt identify. I think he ended up on the phone with tech support for hours =p
  7. Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday! Sorry its a day Late Smedders - yesterday was a rough baby day =)
  8. There is a difference between epic encounters and really not being able to do ANYTHING. Take me for example - I am lucky to get an hour a two of play time a night. And there is nothing I can do in WoW besides farm with that time frame. I am not going to neglect my son to experience a video game that wants you to sink as much time as humanly possible in it. Sure they want their game to be a time sink to keep making money - but since I had Gabe - is frustrating myself so much to experience what I pay for to just prance around in pixels really worth it? I dont think so. Sure it would be fun - but not worth the frustration, the friends lost over loot lust etc etc. I just have a feeling that WoW is going to start getting worse and worse as Blizzard rushes out more and more expansions - but thats coming from a person who had to quit her gaming addiction cold turkey =p
  9. I wont post what Kat said when I mentioned this I swear.. it better be worth it
  10. Oohhh she is beautiful! Congratulations!
  11. Oh he already keeps us on our toes. Little bugger is now trying to roll so we have to strap him into wherever we go - his bouncy chair (which was soooo big for him only 2 months ago) his changing pad - heck if we prop him sitting up on the couch or the bed we have to hover because he will go for his toes and could take a tumble! Right now he is sitting in his bouncer giving me a couple minutes of not holding him he likes to be the center of attention for all his waking hours. Not easy And yes - the wraps and slings are a lifesaver. Only way I can get grocery shopping orlaundry done And he loves them which is more important. We are headed out today to get his potrait taken =D he is in a happy mood - tho the medicine for his Thrush makes his tummy upset - so I have to wrap him in a burp cloth so he doesnt puke all over his cute outfit He is no longer Yoda Baby (as my mother dubbed this picture) but rather budda baby! I gotta get a picture of him in the Lotus position now His hair color is still hazy - definitely either blonde - strawberry blonde or red... we wills ee in another month or so - but his eyelashes and his eyebrows look red to me... so yet another trait of his father And Waldy... you would only see the horns when he doesnt get a nap... or when he is overstimulated. Yikes!
  12. We have Thrush =( Noticed some white patches in Gabe's mouth - went to the peds today and my fear was confirmed - but doc was impressed we caught it early =p Gabe now weighs 15lbs. Safe to say EBF works for us =) he doubled his birth weight and then some! And I managed to put Gabe down to bed... WITHOUT nursing him to sleep! He was awake in his crib when I put him in - put on his mobile and his music and he fell asleep! Woot! Now here is hoping he sleeps a little longer tnight This is my unfit mother wrap... since Gabe likes to be held most of the time - I bought a wrap so I can handsfree hold him. kat's bitter old aunt called me an unfit mother because of it =p Dont I feel loved! And here is a bigger shot of my new Avatar =) All my other Gabey pictures can be viewed Here
  13. Oh yeah... Waldy... you still need to get your arse down here I got plenty of babysitters available and frozen milk galore for my Gabe... so I can watch you and Kat drink each other under the table
  14. ::cheers:: well done! That was one long road!
  15. Hello folks =) Just checking in since I got a WONDERFUl call from a certain Moo =D (so nice to talk to other adults ) LAst week I was in Maine with Gabe visiting my sister an brother in law and boy did we have fun =) Gabe got his first taste of cereal - and he loves it - and I got some R&R time where I could pass off Gabe for a little while =) Gabe is growing by leaps and bounds - he is at LEAST 14 lbs already and able to sit up supported. he giggles a little but smiles a LOT. I still say he looks just like Kat =) And he sleeps usually 5-7 hours at night! We lost our Fatcat Kismet a couple of weeks ago - she was Gabe's cat and we are both very upset that Gabe will never remember his protector... and to think I thought she'd be the jealous one. So we have a new kitten in our midst - a little long haired grey and white scoundrel that Kat calls Czetnch (or some God of Chaos or something from Warhammer =p) I call him Snuffles since he came to us with a pretty bad cold. He is about as old as Gabe and a lot of fun - although he prefers me over Kat because I smell like milk. he does NOT leave me alone when Gabe is getting cereal or I am pumpin. I miss most of you ::noogies Baracko:: and I am hoping you are all well - Smed gave me an update on most of you =) and I can say that I really do miss ya'll. I only ever hear from Uglutz and Smed now =p You guys CAN email me yah know I can usually get a couple hours at night if I am lucky and email is how I keep in touch with anyone =) Much and smooches out to ya'll =) and dont forget to go to gabeybaby.myphotoalbum.com to ooooh and awhhhhh at our darling son =)
  16. Ahhh I do miss D&D... And I will enver forget the time my rogue pretty much soloed the big boss due to a buncha lucky sneak attack rolls =D

    Maube!

Heheh thanks =) just put him in his crib - so he should be out for at least an hour - poor guy is REALLY gassy today - wonder what I ate that disagrees with him so. The haircut took a while to get used to but I like it now Mom promised to treat me to a highlight session soon =) of course once we do a strand test because goodness knows hormones can make dye jobs go nuts =p Almost 11 inches of hair was sent off to Locks for Love =) Dont I feel special! Gabe is a real charmer - although he is very needy in the regards he wants to be held pretty much every waking moment... and daytime naps are never by himself. I have various slings and wraps that I carry him in - I am a babywearin Momma! he was 12lbs 8oz at the 2 month checkup so I am guessing he is at least 13lbs by now - so almost double birthweight. Not bad for a exclusively breastfed baby =) Now comes the fun part of trying to find a job with the limited time I have without him attached... of course I would rather do something remotely fun for the limited time I have to myself - but such is life =p anyway - gunna go do some job hunting now - joy and rapture

    Maube!

awwwwwww- currently sitting here with a gabe sucking on my hand. So typing this is gunna be very slow =p Gabe doesnt give me much time to do anything that cannot be done while nursing =p He is a cuddle baby for sure - hard to believe he is already over 2 months old. He smiles like crazy now =) Miss you folks as the only time I've had to myself lately is rushing to do errands while Kat watches the baby - which isnt exactly relaxing or fun =p heck I cant even poo in peace! The new kittens look adorable Qiris! I dont think I have seen my kitties save for Kismet for more then 5 minutes a day since the big move =p Kat of course can play as much as he wants =p and he does - tho his new game of choice is LotRO and Civ =p Miss ya'll very much - and looking forward to a time when Gabe can take more then a 10 minute nap during the day =p he is currently VERY grouchy as I puth im down to type this - but of course it is the fussy time for most babies anyway =p almost time for his bath and then I can hope he goes down for bed before 10 so I can at least take a bath without him =p Anyway - gotta go before Gabe pops his hernia =p gabeybaby.myphotoalbum.com for all his latest pictures =)
  19. ::rude to gorrin:: I still dread anytime I get on an airplane I will hear your scratchy voice =p
  20. oh no =( I am so sorry to hear about your loss. ::big hugs all around:: I know you lovedt hat kitty. He'll be waiting on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Heck maybe he is chasing my Guinevere right now ::big hugs again::
