  1. I see a lot of changes round here! I also see many good old crushers who had left, came back! It's good to see you all. Had a long move to a new city and I'm anxious to get my warrior arse back in the thick of it again with you all. If you'll take me. Hehe, it's been a while, I hope one or two of you remembers Zilog da orc.
  2. Welcome back Rhoach. You were missed.
  3. He he latz tink of Zilog in Hindu landz. Strange, I'm in Ohio, eating lots of good Indian curry, wonder if there's a connection? (I got the name from an orc name generator, but since found out it is a name of an old computer company. Probably what that bin once contained.) Welcome back, hope you had a blast with your RL quests in other lands!
  4. A tall, proud, troll strides over. Centurian Chrysalia greats the warrior Zilog “Wut happened tu latz hair?” Zi strokes her bald head and smiles sheepishly. “Me shave it. Dis marks me as a warrior.” Zilog and the Zoram Guard The sun beat down on the sands at Zoram Strand. Gulls cawed in the distance as waves broke on the shore. A loud wood-against-wood thud is heard and a crowd of orcs jeer in response. Two combatants are faced off and shuffling in positon through uneven sandy footing. “Knock off her head!” shouts an orc. “Put da panzy down, mon.” says a troll. Jarmuul, a troll with exceptional size, swings at his opponent with his weapon—a former pine tree, complete with branches and needles. His target is a small, female orc outfitted with a short straight staff. “Zilog go sleep nuw!” Jarmuul says, as he takes a wide swing at the orc. Once again his attack is deftly avoided and countered. Captain Krange, accompanied by Corporal Gash, strides up to watch the match. He wanted to observe what he deemed to be his most peculiar recruit. “Kum on, pushdog troll, end dis ting!” the crowd was impatient having watched this match go no where for so long. “Dis lik watchin a crow fite a kodo.” The crowd laughed. Just then, Zilog ducks under a swipe, rolls, and severs a branch from the log. Duel wielding the branch and the staff, Zilog pummels the troll’s hands, disarming him and with a quick blow to his head, sends him down to the sand. The crowd begins cheering, but is soon silenced by the look on Krange’s face. “Wut dis?” bellows Krange. “Dis liddul panzy orc, dishonors us!” He waves corporal Gash over. “Flog her til me say stop.” “Mark my wurds, everyash. DUB PAWS ASH SPLITT’R! Zilog, confused, is hauled away to the flogging post. Part II Krange, captain and chief of the Zoram Guard, ruled the secluded Zoram Gar outpost. His face criss-crossed with scars from 20 seasons of service. Although established by Thrall, the outpost neither received nor expected any support from Orgrimmar over the long years. Members of the Guard were born and raised at the outpost. At the Zoram Gar, Krange’s word was law. Being on the edge of elflands, Zoram Gar was forever plagued by elven onslaughts. Defense against them was the outpost’s top priority. Krange’s contempt of the elves grew steadily over his 20 years. His hate of the elves began to shape all his policies over time. Looking out over the battlements, year after year, Krange would observe and compensate for what he saw and hated. Whatever an elf did, Krange hated. Elves wore bright colored clothing—then the guard would coat theirs with soot. They had long flowing hair—then the guard would forever shave their heads. Even the use of bows, necessary, for the lack of guns at the outpost, were deemed an insult to the orc made to use them. Krange observed that elves often dual wield their weapons. Hence his command, his slogan, his phrase which sums up all his philosophy. DUB PAWS ASH SPLITT’R! PART III (Days later, following a hard-fought battle with an invading force of elves and a narrow victory.) Bloody, beaten, gear torn from the recent battle, Zilog again finds herself strapped to the flogging post awaiting punishment. “Wat me do nuw? Me dun get why me always getting punished all da time. Corporal Gash leans over, momentarily alone with the young warrior. “latz got lotz ta lurn.” Zilog looks up at Gash questioningly. “We be orks, dem ova on da udder side, dem is elbs. Dem gotz long hairs.” Gash pauses and looks at Zilog’s long brown hair. “Dem is skinny agh dey’s rogues put a weapon in each paw.” Zilog interupts “Latz saw da fight, yub me used dub swords, bu wen me jumped frum dat tree, dey wuz confused, dey dun know wut ta do, we beat dem back, we won da fight! Agh nuw me get flogged, why? “Nub,” Gash continues, “Dat nub da point. We be orks. Orks use da big axe. Wut dey do, we hates. If lat keep luukin like dem, nevermind dese floggins, Krange will take yur head!” The lashes began. The young ork bit her lip. She understood finally but winced at the unfairness. Crack went the whip. She winced. Crack. Tears came but not from the pain of the lash but from the humiliation. Crack. Suddenly she realized that it was mental and that the lashes were NOT hurting. Crack. A smile grew on her tear-streaked face. Crack. She got it. Crack. Like in battle, something welled up in her. Crack. A kind of rage. Euphoria, power, welled up from the onslaught of pain. The warrior’s gift. From then on she would seek out this feeling. Battling, provoking any conflict, anywhere as long as she received punishment, she would gain power. A warrior and an addict was born. The flogging ended. The warrior walked slowly away. She picked up a knife and made her way to the shore. In the lapping waves she shaved her head and let the hair fall in the ocean. She did this partly to appease Krange, to stop appearing elf-like, preventing her murder at the hands of her warchief and also to mark this occasion of becoming a warrior of the horde, and to leave her old self behind.
  5. What hammer you going for? You need arcane crystals or arcanite bars? How many you needing?
  6. OK Hu, been mining thorium for a while, if I EVER see my first arcane crystal I'll look ya up. Stockpiles?? of arcane crystals?? *passes out*
  7. Thanks Sley, I read your entire post. Need to take a long break now and come back and read again. Great build info, I value your opinion, though some of it went over my little bald head. I recently got the IBS, and respecced MS favoring polearms. Axe spec wasn't helping me much not having an axe for the last 30 levels. Excellent info from everyone. Waldonnis and Houli, you both taught me some strategy there making me instantly a better pvper. P.S. Like usual, I'll be meeting you Crushers at the Blacksmith flag.
  8. Thanks for the info. Charge/hamstring, berserk, entourage of healers--check. Reading between the lines here I'm thinking a few things. Interestingly no one mentioned big, scary, 2-hand weapons nor mortal strike as being annoying. I'll have to look into the skill tree to improved hamstring and berserk enhancements. Fury build?? Hmmm.
  9. I'm a 60 Mortal Strike warrior wondering what you mages, shaman, druids, hunters, priests, rogues and warlocks think. What does an alliance Warrior do to really annoy you in the battlegrounds? I'm looking for the most effective tactic, weapon choice or warrior build that you may have noticed? As is, I try to /ASSIST my group members using macros. Charge in, build rage, fear the enemy group, target squishies first, mortal strike healers. I love enemy pets. While I'm being ignored by everyone at the start of battle, I can always count on pet bites to build my rage up for a fear bomb. I'd like some fresh outside viewpoint on this so I can base equipment, tactics and even build choice. In the warrior hole, where I live it's all dps, dps, arc reaper, %crit. My goal is'nt to lead kills, it's to team-play victories and I wonder if there might be a better spec to that end?
  10. "Da Warchief's tower is empty?" *stares blankly* (The young warrior stands silently, imagining what colossal events the chief could be battling with. Feeling the void from where kind support and wisdom once came.) *wipes down her sword's edge* Dat uki, we be fine. *walks over and puts arm around Benim* *shivers* (Feeling uneasy from the chill coming from the shadows.)
  11. zilog

    Zi turns 60

Finally 60 and no, it's not my 3rd alt to get there. Zilog has been my main for over a year now. No alliance 60's either. I started AD horde side with the crushers all the way. Back when Uglutz and Grulg ruled the clan and Volonazra battled Meiftor. Rhoach first entered the battlegrounds and Muru "roleplayed" a bumbling old orc. Zilog was born then. I just wish my schedule would allow me to commit to raid signups and instances. 4 hour chunks in wow are rare for me to predict happening. I'll be on when I can, and willing to help when I am. Dabu to the clan
  12. I'm hoping to farm the materials for a Crusader Weapon enchant for my Destiny sword that Huato so graciously gave to me. (thanks Huato) 4x Large Brilliant Shards 2x Righteous Orbs Runed Arcanite Rod I guess I can get the orbs in Stratholme. Can someone tell me the best way to get a Large Brilliant Shard? Any particularly good droppage source or would it be easier for someone to disenchant some stuff?? I'm just a miner btw. Dabu
  13. It was the stories of Rhoach that I read before release that sinched my membership to the Crushers. Rhoach's AV raids got me hooked on the battlegrounds. You are missed now rogue.
  14. Zilog needs to get herself to 60. Would love to make the journey, grouping with CS.
  15. Yes, yes yes. I am DONE with PUGS! Crusher squads FTW. You have Zilog, 56 warrior and Smegugh 28 shammy at your disposal.
  16. http://argentcovenant.com/forums/viewtopic...strange+request Here's a post on the AC, about tauren getting mounts. "Patch 1-8 made the Orgrimmar wolves come in a variety large enough to accomodate the bulls."
  17. After reading Maube's superb story, I was inspired to think about how Zilog might have been recruited, based on her backstory, into the Skullcrushers. I have my story now, just need to type it up and submit it. Now, I ask the rest of you--how did you come to be a Skullcrusher? Base your entry into the clan on your backstory, and then fill us in later, what your backstory is. (that's the approach I'll take). Or, tell what actually happened in game. Keep in mind, that each story written gives legitimacy to the rp of the clan's identity, and legitimacy to each of our individual characters. Each personality created gives us more fuel for our own stories. You can put the warchief in your story, and like a puppet, make him do whatever you want *evil laugh* Thanks to everyone who has shared their story.
  18. I am interested. Ready to go today, Friday.
  19. love them unexpected, Crusher encounters. Enjoyed that, thanks Haq
  20. Thank you, Huato. I requested and received the Destiny last night. I can't express how appreciative I feel, getting a purple item for 1g. I will attempt to touch on that generousity, a little, by offering Doombringer Doombringer to the bank. It has an additional +7 dmg enchant on it courtesy of Dugand. Dabu
  21. If anyone, like me is trying desperately to reach the next 10th level, I found this guide to be of some use: Grinding Guide here's an excerpt: 34-37 Venture Co. Meteorologists at Lake N. in Stranglethorn Vale I love these guys. I mentioned them in the gold guide, and I really do love them. They have good drops, and they die fast. Hunters can sometimes even take two on at a time, as they like to stay at range and use their lightning bolt attack. Sic a pet on one, and take out the other yourself. They don't always stay at range, however, so your milage may vary. 36-38 The Naga on the islands in Desolace have low armor, and there are casters in the mix. Be wary of the wandering sea giants, though. One will walk across the island every now and then, and they'll kill you if they sees you. 37-39 The Murlocs by Grom'Gol in STV are excellent grinding. They have, as per usual, low defense, and take alot of damage. Some casters mixed in the fray as well. 36-46 In the Badlands, there are ALOT of rock elementals. They range from about 37 to 42 or so, if I remember correctly. They're sort of close to the Horde base, so Alliance might be weary of the area. They die fast, and they have some pretty good vendor drops. Higher level ones spawn by the Ogres camp, and have a chance of spwaning Rumbler, a named rock elemental. There's also a few quests right by the lower ones, so some extra EXP is fun. 40-43 The Scalding Whelps in the Badlands are fun to grind. They're basicly casters, low def and HP, high damage. They also have a chance of dropping a a Tiny Black Whelpling, which can go for 20-50 gold on some servers in the AH, and are pretty cool pets regardless. 40-46 The Wastewander humans in Tanaris are great grinding for a large level range. They start off at level 40 and 41, and ramp up to 44 or so, and then you can move to the pirates, which range from 44-45 (Or is it 46?). Chests spawns are all over the place too, so you can get some phat lewt. My gold guide has more in depth information on their location. Credit author Chtulhu
