There is always room for more in the empire. The dread cohort is the cohort of necromancers. According to the Codex there is no centruion of the dread cohort at the moment. That may have changed by now though. Because Ballyn is the Decurion I would suggest getting his ICQ from the roster page and contacting him about being added to the stone.

Good point Prometheus. There have been times when a bandage would have come in real handy. Like when the poison keeps interupting my cleanse by fire. If you have 30 points to spare. Pick up chivalry. You can use the Sacred Journey to recall. The spell costs 20gp to use. Recalls sell for 35gp and up. Save 15 each time. And, your negative karma from being a necro won't affect it.

Why am I suddenly nervous? Never met, but I am Winter Wind. Not sure about the no patch issue. Only seen it once before and full uninstall / reinstall fixed it. Like Martok suggested. Good luck.

Balandar: Hit like a girl? j/k don't hit me. To the best of my knowledge you will not need eval int if you drop magery. Do not underestimate the power of the necro spells. I have seen quite a few PVP types complain that the necro's are too powerful. That's a good sign. Plus the Strangle spell kind of makes me feel like Darth Vader. Dex is still a factor in swing speed from what I have seen in game. I heard a rumor that the dev team plans to look at the looting a dead necro issue and possibly change it. I wouldn't get my hopes up though. Still to many other things for them to work on. Hope some of this helps.

It's a good warning and a sad story. I do try to let "young" people know things like this when I can. Although most of the people that come to these boards are older players, the empire grows everyday. Somebody will benefit from your experience. Sorry you lost the home and the items, but glad the guildmaster was able to assist you.

New Developments. Bella Noir of Stratics has posted on a couple of UO discussion sites that the pay service will allow access to all of the same information you are currently recieving for free. The differences are "No advertisement banners, no popup windows, no dhtml/java script ads, and the ability to customize the appearance of the front end page in your browser window. The OSI support staff will be reachable by both paying and non-paying visitors." The content will be the same on both sides of the coin. Now that's better. I still find it odd that OSI tells us our discussion boards are going away and that they will only respond on Stratics. THen 2 dyas later Stratics announces fees without supplying a description of what the fee covers. When a description comes out, it's still confusing. Oh well, matter resolved. Can't say I am happy about the whole affair, but at least we know OSI can still be reached.

Ok, this is just a little rant. If it should not be here, I apologize and feel free to delete it. No hard feelings. OSI closed down their forums. I enjoyed them and was able to reach the OSI staff (at times) that way. Now they have shut down the forums and told everybody to use the Stratics forums. Ok, Stratics is a great site with good information. But their forum pages are as laggy as the first two days of the AoS release. Not a fun option to me. Now it goes to the next evolution. Stratics is introducing "Stratics Plus". This is a pay service to Stratics that will allow you to access additional material and fourms. The current content is to remain free. But wait! There is more. Allow me to quote Joshua Rowan / UO Stratics Project Manager: Now to me this reads as if the only way to reach the UO dev team is to pay Stratics for the opportunity to do so. Only people that pay Stratics will be able to work with the dev team and influence the direction of Ultima Online. So basically: OSI kicks us out and says we have to go Stratics to communicate with the dev team. Ignoring the problems with connecting to Stratics, some people have attempted said communicaton and have not been very happy due to slow server response and rude posters. Now it is being announced that to communicate and interact with the OSI dev team we have to subscribe to Stratics Plus. This is rediculous. We pay our $10 a month to play the game and hopefully get some customer support on it. Now we have to look elsewhere for the company reps. Soon we will have to pay yet another company to be able to reach the reps of the first company we are already paying money to. Even Dilbert's pointy hair boss couldn't develop something this assinine. It's only a matter of time before we have to log in to EQ to reach a UO gamemaster.

Replace med with Spirit Speak. It allows you to heal from dead bodies, adds a little punch to your necro spells (if I remember right), and allows you to understand what dead players are saying (Ooo oOo oO oOoo = I can't believe the ***ker killed me! *hit!) Just remember the draw back to necromancy. If you die as a beast, wraith, or lich your body can be freely looted by any player on any facet. It will not be a "criminal act"

As I have mentioned to a few of the memebers since joining PGoH, a dream of mine has been to own a home within the city. Thanks to Lora the dream is now a reality.
