Prometheus

After making my own observations, and then checking Stratics, I have assembled a full set of Green dragon armor. The AR is comparable to that of platemail. There are 5 pieces, tunic, legs, sleeves, gloves, and helm (no gorget) so if a gorget was added, the AR would be higher than plate. There are 6 colors, green, red, gold, blue, white, and black. Green is at the moment probably the most common, with the numerous swamp dragons about. Dragons of all types drop various colors, and sea serpents have blue scales. Chaos dragoons drop 1 scale of the same color as their armor. Black seems to be the least common (and probably the most desirable hehe) Making exceptional dragon armor is nearly impossible, as even at GM smithing, there is a 0% chance to make exceptional tunics and legs, and almost no chance of making the other pieces. Only with an ancient smithy hammer does a smith have any chance of making GM made armor. To make the armor, you need a dragon smithing hammer, craftable by tinkers. 124 scales of one color are required to make all 5 pieces. When all 5 pieces are worn, a special power is granted depending on the color of the armor. At present, the type of ingot used to make the armor does not seem to have any effect on it, so using iron is just as good as using valorite. More info on Stratics, but here's the jist of it!

FYI ... per my understanding, I think houses that aren't owned by an active account will be deleted so if you do decide to give your home to a member in need, you would have to make them owner. Just a heads up.

Well, I finally did get my house back (log cabin north of Minoc) that I gave to my friend Graine for safe keeping. Not only did she keep it all this time, but she even kept the stuff I had left in it too! Proof that there are still good people left in UO! And having said that ... I'm looking for someone to make me some furniture/house addons ....... drop me a line on ICQ if anyone in the guild has time to help me out!

Yep, and there will be no rules disputes or anything like that now too! And maybe I'll finally understand flanking rules and attacks of opputunity lol.

Oh I will definately be playing! My current DnD group all plan to play also, so I'm sure I'll see plenty of you in it!

The Tinsic North bank has always been the traditional gathering spot for PGoH, even long before Olympus was placed. A good place to watch for us.

Actually, as I've told many, I think Asheron's Call is a better game, but it isn't any fun without my guildmates hehehe

Funny how UO is like that ... speaking of games like UT, anyone play Half-life? In my spare time, I also have been playing a mod for it called Day of Defeat ... it's set in WWII ... its actually enjoyable, even for someone like me who isn't that great at FPS's but I'm learning fast. My smith, Charsi, is setting up a vendor at Fing's sandstone (next to the Safe Haven tower) .... my main plan is to sell VDP weapons (in addition to other things). However, I lost my list of the top prices for the VDP weapons ... and I can't seem to find a list anywhere on Stratics ... if anyone has such a list, it would help me out alot! Thank's in advance! That armor looks badass ... I'm guessing you'll have to get dragon hides to craft it ... wonder how hard it'll be to get a complete set?

Which Colossal Death Robot Are You?

After a discussion with Martok and Borg, I decided to return to the brotherhood of PGoH. After reading Borg's recruitment post on the news page, I noticed that the Empire has need of a Senator of Arcane .... and seeing as how that, at the moment, I am forced to spend the majority of my online time on a dial-up connection, decided that Prom isn't going to be seeing any heavy combat any time soon. I feel I can better serve the Empire in that position, rather than fulfilling one of the combat roles (Borg suggest Phalyanx). For those who are interested in knowing where I've been and what I've been doing these last months (who don't already know), here's the scoop ... and if you're not interested, stop reading now hehehe Since around April of 2001 I had been unemployed and living on my own in an apartment ... I had cable, and I was happy. However, being unemployed quickly catches up to you, and I quickly went through my savings and ran up some nasty credit card debts. By the end of august, I had finally found a new job I like, thanks to a friend of mine ... a lab tech for Lenscrafters at a nearby mall. At this same time, I moved back in with my parents, after a generous offer to help me get back on my feet financially. In doing so, I paid off all my debts, and even found the money to get a new car, a 2001 Jeep Wrangler! Around November, a few friends of mine (my D&D group) had started to play Asheron's Call ... and I decided to give it a try. And I loved it ... at first. Since I had plenty of time off around Christmas time, I was able to play practically all day long in most cases, just like I used to be able to before. However, once I went back to a normal work schedule, I played less and less, at least compared to most of my companions, who surpassed me soundly in level. And towards the end of my AC career, I grew more distant, until I spent all my time playing solo ... not fun in a MMORPG ... and so, at the request and nagging of a RL friend, who ironically enough didn't even LIKE UO at first, I reactivated my account with the intent of playing on and off. Of course, after finding many DID indeed still play UO and took time off of DAoC to play, my urge to play has risen again! And tonight, after talkign with Borg and 'Tok .... well, the rest is history to be made! It's good to be back, everyone! I missed all of ya! Yeah that's right, I decided to reactivate my UO account after all this time. I've already seen a few of you in game, and I know the rest of you are addicted to DAoC .... Asheron's Call is still an excellent game to be sure, but it just isn't the same without a good sized guild behind me hehehe. Hey everyone, long time no see! Just thought I'd drop by and see how everyone is doing. I haven't heard from most of you in months ... with my new job, lack of broadband, and the fact that I decided to give Asheron's Call a try has kept me busy. I know most of you guys either still play UO, quit totally, or jumped on the DAoC bandwagon, so I hardly talk to anyone anymore ..... If any of you guys get bored of DAoC, you should try AC, its very similar to DAoC. It has a very unique setting, and a good blend of fantasy technologies and magic and cultures and such. Plus, with the Alligience system, we could always start up a PGoH-type branch ... *hint hint* Anyways, just wanted to drop a line, and let everyone know whats been up and all that jazz. Hopefully, I'll hear from some of you some time .... and until then, good luck and safe travels in whatever world you play in! Well, I'm slightly disapointed ... no new runewords active this patch but that's ok. I think once again, Blizzard has proven themselves to be the superior company hehehehe
