Since I'm making money again the screenshots make it VERY tempting, but I doubt I could enjoy it on 56k

For that matter, I can't even enjoy UO or Diablo2 on 56k

And guildstones can be redeeded, and can still be sold back to npc merchants, but guildstone deeds can't be bought anymore, so there's a new rare on the block

If guildstones are left in the game they will serve no purpose. All guild information/actions will be handled through an interface accessed through the Guild button on the paperdoll.

Alliance system IS going in, but from what I can tell stones are ancient history.

"Creating a Guild

A player may form a guild with any unguilded character by clicking the Guild button on the paperdoll. This will open the Guild Creation page, where you will be prompted to enter a name for your guild, along with a 4 letter abbreviation for your guild. You will be charged 25,000 gold pieces to create a guild."

As you can see, keeping our 4 letter abbreviation will no longer be a problem.

for stealing get a pack animal, go to a city in fel, tell the animal to guard you, and then steal from it Happy Birthday!

The animal will apparently call guards on anyone who tries to give you any trouble and since it's guarding you you dont go grey for stealing from it.

This Sunday, 9/26/2004, at 2pm est we meet at the Keg and Anchor tavern in Trinsic to deploy to the dungeon of Shame for resource harvesting. We will attempt to gather and transport as much iron ore as possible in order to aid in construction of the barricades around Britain. The more people who show up, the better off we'll be. Please lighten your pack as much as possible before coming and bring any pack animals you might have to carry the resources.

If anyone has any suggestions on what to do for a log-gathering event, please let me know asap.

status report: fortifications

The britannian royal guard has requested help constructing barricades at 3 sites in the mountains north and west of Britain. One site is at the east end of the pass leading from the brit crossroads. One is at the south end of the pass that leads toward Despise. The third is in Snake's Pass a bit east of the second. There are resource piles on the ground that need to be filled with massive ammounts of logs and iron ORE (not ingots). We have reason to believe failure in this task would yield devastating results.

All miners and lumberjacks in the empire are asked to respond with all possible haste.

It's a time-honored tradition that great adventures start out in a tavern with a couple of people gathering around a table to hoist an ale or twenty

Because of this I would like to reopen the Keg and Anchor in Trinsic for business. To make this work I will need volunteers to work one scheduled evening per week as barkeeps. Barkeeps will be able to keep whatever tips they receive, so good service and a ready smile could yield a decent profit. I'm posting this here first, but will also be taking applications from others soon.

Of course with increased commerce invariably comes increased crime, so once this kicks off we will need praetorians to keep a sharp eye on what goes on within these walls we were so long ago charged with protecting.

If I seem a bit quiet over the next week or so it's because I'm not here. Yesterday afternoon I received word that my grandfather passed away, so tomorrow I'm flying back to El Paso yet again. Dunno how long I'll be gone.
