  1. best strategy if you plan on coming back eventually is to load everything worth keeping into your house and bank boxes and then just reactivate your account once every 3 months in order to keep the house from falling. that way you're not spending $156 per year but you still have everything waiting for you when you come back (not to mention each time you reactivate to refresh your house that gives you a month to catch up on current events :) )

  2. Just as a note for anyone who may not quite understand, the praetorians are a primarily pvp unit and have a few times in the past had to go red in the course of their duties. A praetorian is NOT just a knight who happens to be assigned to guard duty. A praetorian is a person who will hand you your ### on a plate if you are a threat to their mission and can also tell you with absolute certainty what the codex says about a given situation.

To qualify to become prefect you have to have knowledge not only of how best to use your own template in pvp combat, but also effective ways to use other templates and methods of countering each. This knowledge is helpful to any praetorian but is a must for the prefect as it is their responsibility to make sure that every praetorian is fully trained and ready for deployment at all times.

  3. Well, we did it. We made it through another year. Now it's time to do the happy dance ;):yahoo::):yahoo: and start working on making this new year even better than the last one. :):yahoo::dancing_smile::yahoo:

  4. We're beginning an in-character census of all of Trinsic's (civilian) citizens. The census can be signed at http://unsertech.com/ipw-web/bulletin/bb/v...p?p=24719#24719 or by bringing the characters in question to Kodoz in game. Keep in mind that this census is for NON-LEGION characters and that you don't have to own a house near Trinsic to take part. However, the character you want counted as a citizen has to be ROLEPLAYED as living in Trinsic whether another of your characters owns a house elsewhere or not.

  5. It'd definitely be worth coming back and playing UO :yahoo:

More and more roleplay is beginning to shift toward Trinsic, and with it more fun. There's also some majorly heavy-duty equipment you can get from the expansion, not the least of which is pointy ears and purple skin

We've also had a couple more old fogies come back recently, including Elathiel.

  6. chivalry of course.

    1) transportation via Sacred Journey

    2) no need to worry about what damage type your bow does due to Consecrate Weapon

    3) instant stamina refill via Divine Fury

    4) Enemy Of One if there's not too much variety where you're hunting :D

add in the extra healing, curing, and curse removal abilities and it's ALWAYS a good choice

  7. omg those were right on the money!

but the button for the man is wrong... you forgot the map that goes eveywhere but leads you nowhere as you don't ask for Direction

why ask for directions when you have step by step directions AND a map printed out for the entire trip? :D

  8. Also if it is in the codex, for OOC as stated, maybe one place can be a "haven" from the rule for those who would like an instant bank or something alike... can be Haven...

The whole point of the rule would be so that every time you go to town to use the bank you add to the roleplaying experience for everyone (whether you hang around or not). Recalling to a point by the road about a screen away from the west Trinsic gate would allow quick and easy access to a bank (especially since you'll probably be riding a mount if you're in a hurry anyway). Another quick option would be to recall to a moongate and go to Luna since the moongate there is right by the bank.

  9. Rather than being an in-character law, I think the recalling/gating thing should be an out of character addition to the codex and should be requested of the guilds we interact with as well in the interest of encouraging more opportunities to rp. (For instance, if it's an in-character law we can count on guilds such as Und to violate it all the time. If it were an out of character guideline I could see them following it for the most part so that they can have a bit more of a challenge and more actual interaction)

  10. Another thing is Recall/Gate/Sacred journey. Any specific reason for the prohibition?

If you wait til you're outside the city (preferably at least a full screen away from the gates) then you create MUCH more opportunity for rp interaction within the city. Also, if other guilds will follow this guideline as well it creates specific areas where you can expect to encounter roleplayers if you wait long enough (especially the city gates) and an opportunity to play out a realistic city defense if the need arises.

If people are recalling/gating in and out of the city you wont have any clue where/when they'll be and will most likely miss out on any opportunity to roleplay with them.

  11. I've just been informed that they've finally found a donor and are about to begin a 5 organ transplant on Ariana's dad. The surgery will take a minimum of 30 hours to complete.

Everyone pray that Ariana will be safe on the 9 hour drive to get there (and of course the drive back!) and that the surgery will be a success.
