    Hamfist or Bust

Actually Tain might prefer to bring Hainish, his DK, who is melee. He's traveling today so I can't reach him. Stay tuned tomorrow.

    Hamfist or Bust

Yeah I'm interested. I know Tain would be but his schedule is nuts what with travel. And I'll poke Gleirr, I know he wants to raid but I'm not sure he's checked out the CS web site yet. He's also got a pally that's ret at the moment but I think he's spec'd pretty much everything at this point.
  4. My pink shoes. Aren't they amazing?

    Kalea!

No wrinkles, I've seen the pics. You have a FANTASTIC birthday -- I love getting older myself. And then blowing people's minds when they find out I'm a grandmother ::glances at young puppies like Baracko::

    Pie recipe

Macadamia Nut Pie originally from my aunt Sonja Wood Pie: 3 egg whites ½ t baking powder 1 C graham crackers, crushed to crumbs* 1 t vanilla ½ C macadamia nuts, chopped ½ C coconut, grated · Heat oven to 350 degrees. · Beat egg whites and baking powder till stiff. · Add sugar and vanilla gradually and beat to meringue. · Fold in the graham cracker crumbs, chopped nuts and grated coconut. · Pour into greased 9-inch pie pan and bake for 30 minutes. Cool. Topping: 1 C whipping cream (I used normal, not heavy) 2 T sugar ¼ C macadamia nuts, chopped · Whip the whipping cream and sugar until thick. · Spread on completely cooled pie and sprinkle with the chopped macadamia nuts. · Refrigerate at least one hour before serving. This stores OK in the fridge for maybe two days. *The box has three packages, and to make a cup of crumbs takes about half a package. I’ve done it manually and in the food processor and think it’s much better consistency when done manually. Otherwise you end up with graham cracker dust and big huge chunks. I used low-fat graham crackers last night and it tasted fine.

The day you celebrate six perfect 10s? Is it? Is it? I think I remember this is the day . . . so
  10. Girl! I don't know any details except what her brother posted: Girl. 8lb 1 oz. 19 inches. Name Kaytlyn Elizabeth. (Don't know the official spelling of the name) Hopefully in the next couple of days she can post more plus pictures! Congratulations to Maube and Katak and of course lil Gabe who's now the big brother!
  11. ::runs into the thread, bites Baracko and flees, giggling all the while:: RL > WoW always. I'm so happy your business is doing better and I'm glad you are returning to healthy eating and working out. We've talked before about how important that is to both of us so hurrah! Glad you are doing this for you.
  12. ! Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday!
  13. Thanks, my friends! And it's been a really good one!
  14. The difference between this recipe and others I've seen is there's more butter and more vanilla. So they are richer. Hey butter makes (almost) anything better, right?
  15. My Brownies These brownies are more cake-like, and I never ice them, although I suppose you could ruin them er do that if you wanted to. 1 stick butter 2 squares unsweetened chocolate 2 eggs 1 C sugar 1 t vanilla 3/4 C flour 1/2 t baking powder 1/2 C nuts (optional) Heat oven to 350F. On very low heat, melt butter and chocolate in a 2 quart sauce pan. Stir constantly until melted, and remove from heat. Stir in eggs, sugar and vanilla. Next stir in the remaining ingredients. Pour in a greased 8x8x2 inch pan and bake for about 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  16. I dunno, having not had mole. But it was pretty good. I added the beans because I wanted to extend the number of servings and because we like refried beans. Well they aren't really refried, they are fat free but yummy nevertheless.
  17. ::scolds:: No derailing this thread!
  18. Pulled Pork Tacos (based on a recipe from Real Simple) 1 32-oz jar of salsa 2 T chili powder 2 T dried oregano leaves 2 T unsweetened cocoa powder 2 1/2 pounds boneless pork butt (I used boneless pork chops, and only about a pound) 2 cans refried beans (NOT the original recipe but what I did tonight) Throw everything except the beans into the crock pot (doesn't come close to filling a 4-quart pot FYI) and cook on low for about 7 hours (4-5 if you do it on high). Take the pork out and shred it. Add it back to the pot, stir in the beans and serve either on corn tortillas or else with corn chips. YUMMY, and Tainish could actually taste it tonight with his bad cold.
  19. That's our Harne! <3<3<3 Big ol loveably goofball!
  20. Doh I totally forgot. I came back to this thread today and the corn chowder is simmering away on my stove. Spicy Veggie Soup 1 box chicken or veggie broth 1 large can diced tomatoes 1 can Rotel (spiciness up to you) 1 can pinto beans (or whatever kind you like, I prefer pintos and I prefer Goya brand) 1 can corn 2-3 adobo peppers, diced (more makes it spicier duh) 1 medium onion, diced 1 medium potato, diced diced carrots to taste (I like a lot) 2 stalks diced celery Throw it all in the crock pot and cook all day on low. Add diced cooked chicken if you like, or put the raw chicken in at the start of your cooking time. Lately I've been leaving out the Rotel and just using another adobo pepper and we like it just as well. My Not Fancy Chili 1 pound ground turkey, browned and drained 1 large can diced tomatoes 1 large can crushed tomatoes 1 can pinto beans (or whichever bean you prefer) 1 diced onion 1 small can diced chilis (spicy or not as you prefer) 2-3 T chili powder, or to taste 1 t cumin, or to taste Put it all in the crock pot and simmer all day. I tend to add a lot of Tabasco to my bowl, but I don't put it in the chili--it just tastes better to me this way. You can add jalapenos for more fire, and I'm thinking next time I'll add adobos
  21. I think Zurg said your birthday is actually today -- so Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday!
  22. Thanks Maube! I will put this in the soup rotation this week. We eat a lot of soup in the winter and I like to shake it up and not have the same two or three kinds.
  23. You may have noticed that I am also generally on when you are, Light (sorry for mispelling your name, it's early) so I'm up for running dungeons with you. My mage is 80 and could use the experience and the fun.
  24. If it were any night other than Wednesday, I'd be interested. But I've got a RL commitment on Wednesday nights that comes first.
  25. Ours should be waiting for us when we get back from Detroit.
