  1. *grin* Yub, im seme tu gruk id guud nuw. Urukish am bubhosh fun! Though I was serious when I said you might catch yourself almost saying it out loud sometimes. Gruk has almost replaced "know" in my head quite a few times, and I just barely catch it before saying aloud. Hardy har ~Glok
  2. I've never met anyone who claimed to "trip" off of weed. It does make some people incredibly disoriented. Most just become relaxed, lazy, and goofy. OH, and *everyone* gets the munchies. To trip you gotta do LSD or Shruumz. None of it is good for you though, on an emotional level if not physical. ~Glok
  3. MOJO!!!! *runs screaming* Heh heh, this is going to be fun roleplay. I can't wait for WoW to go live, or atleast a beta invitation to enter my inbox! ~Glok

Yub, dat rite. Lat lissun tu Glok, gruk eberytin' suun. Heh heh, orcs hate taking baths, generally. If they're covered in something, I imagine they would wash it off. Otherwise they don't care. Perhaps you'll roleplay a smarter orc who bathes because they don't want their scent to reveal themselves! That's an interesting idea... *begins thinking about alternate characters... already*
  5. Weed doesn't help your concentration. Some people think they can't go to work or school without being stoned, that it helps them. Personally, I think most of them have issues they're trying to keep away. Most people's main issues are subconscious and they don't even realize they're there. It's the same kind of thing as people with horrible, traumatic experiences that can't remember they even happened for the longest time, because their brain blocked it out. Your brain will push away anything you are afraid of dealing with subconsciously, so most of the time you won't even realize that you have a fear of it. Everyone has a fear of failure, that's why we strive so hard to do our best, OR don't try at all. The people who excel accept the fact they might fail, and realize that failure doesn't have to be permanent. Most people use drugs as an escape, whether you believe me or not it's true. Is it an escape for everyone? No, almost everyone starts doing drugs out of curiosity or rebellion(whether against parents or society), but it easily turns into one. (I've been there, twice. Luckily I pulled out of it quickly.) But this is turning into another of Glok'turs long, opinionated posts! Skah! Me wil stub nuw. I love good discussions, but I don't know how the heads would feel about it on their boards. Atleast maybe not in this category. ~Glok
  6. Uz duin' bubhosh! That's orcish for we're doing great, if ya didn't gruk(know). Have you been in SoC all along? Or just T.H.E.? Welcome back, either way! Join us in our anticipation of Blizzard's first MMORPG. *drools orcishly* ~Glok

WAAARGH!!! *runs away again* Heh heh, I have multiple personalities though they are conscious and voluntary. Is that a bad thing? Hi I'm Steve. Hi I'm Glok'tur. Hi I'm Bob Saget. *cocks shotgun.... BLAM* Pfft, damn 3rd one keeps trying to pop up.
  9. Heh.. the Netherlands. Where weed is legal, sex is legal at the age of 16 (including porn), and everyone's shoes are made of wood. Heh heh, I'm just teasing. You could say a lot of things about the USA. Warning: Glok'tur is very opinionated, and expressive. If you don't like what he has to say, feel free to ignore or discuss with him. He will oft jump from subject to subject, as in this post. And yes, he will often refer to himself in the 3rd person. Ahh, the US. Where you're expected to speak english, the shades of her people make a milky rainbow(which isn't a bad thing at all!), and our money is inflated 50% of it's actual value. (lol I don't know the last one for sure but I wouldn't be surprised.) Oh yeah, did I mention our last president thought he was the center of the universe, made a fool of himself, was immoral and "smoked weed but never inhaled." LoL....................... JUST SAY YOU SMOKED. He would have looked better being honest. I, Glok'tur (aka. Davatar, aaka. Steve King), have smoked weed collectively for 8 months of my lifetime. Do I regret it? No, it opened my eyes to the drug world and helped me realize it was not what I wanted to be doing, nor how I wanted to be living. Do I detest people who smoke pot? No, most of my friends mokesor da erbhor. (Heh heh) Many say that what he does relating to his personal life isn't an issue, when dealing with office. I disagree strongly. A man of such immorality, who is always self-serving in every situation, will *not* make good decisions for the nation. Everything about you is reflective of your entire nature. A dishonest man in the homestead, will be dishonest in his business. The best men, are decent and moral in all aspects of their life. If you ever run your own business, choose the honest employee over the dishonest, yet more credited one. (He may have worked in 3 jobs of similar stature as opposed to the honest man's 1, but how come he left them? Was he fired? Yes? No? If he quit them, why? Did he do something he might have been found out about?) There is no partiality to doing what's wrong, as opposed to what's right. Either you make good decisions, or bad ones. Most people who make bad ones don't even know they're bad, as my father has told me, sin makes you stupid. Does that mean we should reject people who don't do what's right? No, we should love them and help them. It's the only way to better the world. Anyway, I've got this discussion going in my head and if I continue to fan the flames of my mind it will turn into a "religious" post. (I hate that word, it's not a religion to me it's a relationship with God.) Alrighty, gonna shut up now. WOOHOO! SKULLCRUSHERS! ~Glok
  10. Yeup, quite a few. I've been part of the Shadowclan Orcs in Ultima Online for a year and a half, abouts. It was the first orcish roleplay I ever attempted, and it's been great! I've roleplayed much longer than that, though. My online roleplaying started about 7 years ago. =) My offline roleplay started when I was a kid, but back then I called it pretending.
  11. Making yourself known - Why would you attack a much higher level character alone? If there are 3 or 4 of you, even if all are a few levels below, the enemy will most likely not prevail. By making yourself or selves known you are giving him a chance to retreat. This rule is more of guideline, depending on the situation; make yourself known. Yes, if you're a stealth-type don't make yourself known. I don't think this rule applies to you. It's a rule that, in my previous experience in RP guilds, is not enforced, but is encouraged. I can add this to the describe the rule, if they decide to implement the RoE. High ranking members loot first - This is a priviledge you receive for your dedication and commitment. Though I guess it isn't entirely necessary. If a Grunt bellows "Bak uff, luutz myne!," to a gruntee, he/she'll have to. We're orcs people, don't expect to be getting every last item in the game. There will most likely be some equipment restrictions, to enforce a few aspects of roleplaying. Example: If you find some sweet armor, but it's alliance-made, your orc probably isn't going to trust it. There are people who would wear it anyway, which isn't very sportsman-like in the RP world. This is a very touchy issue though, which can't really be decided until the game goes live and we know what to expect. A lot of it depends on which race/class is "tweaked" and which isn't. That rule doesn't have to be in there, though. I'm satisfied with ordering the lower ranking members to back off. Thank you for your feedback, more thoughts and comments would be much appreciated! It teaches you and gives you good ideas for the advancement of your roleplay knowledge/capability. Being questioned by fellow RPers and asking questions of your own will get you ready for the next topic of importance, or roleplay group you join. ~Glok
  12. I played Counter-strike for 3 and half years, since version 1.2. I haven't played in 2 months, and haven't played hardcore in 8 or 9. The game is awesome, though I severely dislike the interface changes in the newest version, 1.6. I also don't like the fact they have adapted the game to Steam. That's probably the cause of the interface changes, now that I think about it. At any rate, version 1.5 is great, and the new equipment in 1.6 is cool. If only they didn't change the damn interface... At my peak, I bested 95% of the players opposing me. I remember one particular match, I was counter-terrorist, where I was the only one left against 6 on the other team. They were decent players too! Not noobs, that's for sure. I thought I was dead for sure, so I camped one spot behind a box in a wide hallway under a bridge. (de_dust map if you know it) I listened for footsteps, I could tell a couple of them were coming around behind me, and a couple more were on the other side. I leaped out, startling one to my left and fired mid-air (AK47, fully-auto), got extremely lucky, and hit him in the head. I landed and quick took aim at the 2nd, a few feet behind him, dropped him with a burst of 4 shots to the chest. I spun around just in time to see the other two drop down from a ledge up on the bridge above me, the first didn't see me and I got a headshot on him with 2 picked single-shots. The next thing I know 2 more drop down behind the one I just killed, I fire a couple bursts of 2 or 3 shots at the 2nd, hit him in the neck, so he went down quick, the 3rd started hitting me but he only had an NP5 Navy (submachine gun) so from the distance he was at it didn't hurt much through my kevlar. I picked a headshot on him too, then *click click* I'm out of ammo. I press 2 with my left ring finger quickly and am sprint-strafing to my right firing off my Glock (single-shot, I hate multiple setting). I can see I'm hitting him but at a distance the glock sucks and he has an M4A1 (urbanized m16 with silencer). I notice my health's turned red, which means low, and think I'm gone when boom, headshot. I couldn't believe it. It was an awesome round that seemed to go in slow motion. (yes I get THAT into games, can't you tell? ) Of course, in the fashion of stupid counter-strike players, as soon as the next round began I read "What'd you do Dav, turn on your hax? You f***ing h4ck3r." I would like to reassure all of you, however, I used a hack for CS once, and it was to get an idea what to look for in players that might be hacking. (Seriously) I sucked, lol... The hack auto-aimed for me but I was so used quick reflexes in the game I over-compensated with the aimbot on and would shoot a full screen too far in whatever direction the enemy was. LoL, the only hack that had benefit for me was wallhack. Turn all the hacks off cept' that one and play. It's the most used hack too, so it was a good learning experience. I deleted the entire thing from my frustration box later that evening, though.
  13. Upon release of the game, we will discover more rules that need to be in place, but I think we can start a few of them early. I also have a suggestion; we should add 3rd section to the Rules page called the Rules of Engagement(RoE). They will specifically be for all combat, of any kind. (Wargames, PvE, outsider fights, innerclan competitions and spars, etc..) If you heads decide to do it, I would make it the 2nd section listed on the rules page. Here are a few ideas! (I'll list some rules we already have that I think should be relocated to RoE.) This list is Unofficial. These are suggestions by Glok'tur, me. 1. Upon siting a known enemy of the clan or our allies, you must make yourself known before attacking. (This does not apply to pre-planned battles. It is a forewarning for the opposing roleplayer by chance you meet them unexpected. If they attack you without warning, by all means defend yourself.) 2. When in groups, do not rush headfirst into battle! Wait for the present higher ranking clan member, or chosen group leader, to give the ok. 3. Obey all battle orders! If there are no orders given yet, rally to the group leader or V.I.P. to protect them and wait for orders. If there is no outranking member of the clan present, consult with your comrades on the situation. Keep in mind to protect young members if possible, though 2nd to protecting the member in charge. 4. Do not pursue fleeing enemies too far. They are intelligent creatures too, it's a lot easier for our enemies to kill remaining members of the clan, or advance on our territory, if our troops have pursued a decoy! 5. When in PvE(Player versus Environment; npc's, etc..), higher ranking clan members may loot first. Do Not loot unless there is no outranking member present, or they have given you permission to do so. 6. Do Not Loot enemy players, with exception of PKers. (I don't know if there will be PKing in the final release of WoW or not.) This rule is subject to exception; If the player took something of yours, if it is an item of insignificance that you Need. (Like a cheap health potion. Don't take anything that you know, or think is any bit expensive at all.) 7. Defend the clan and our territory at all costs. Don't run off in the heat of battle to gain a little pride in the downfall of an enemy, if it even *might* cost a fellow clan member their life. There, what do you think? Please give me feedback! Yay or Nay? Yay but let's change...? Nay and let's clomp Glok? ~Glok
  14. It's good to see fellow roleplay groups communicating and interested in cooperation! Welcome to our orcish abode. Sadly, if you choose to allow the undead, we'll pick on them if not kill them all the time. We don't like em'! They're not natural! Skah dat nubhosh mojo stuf! Nub kayr ib dedhedz blah dem nub ebil, me tink'r dem ull stab en bak wen id am turn'd! ~Glok
  15. I imagine a lot of people, mainly young ones, dislike where they live. Once you start moving around, you'll start to realize things about your previous homes you took for granted. In my case: I was born in Billings, Montana. My family moved to Tucson, Arizona when I was 3 and a half. We have lived there for 16 years. I moved up to Belgrade, Montana in November. It was an interesting change, but there is literally nothing to do there. It's too cold to do anything outside and the town only has 8,000 people in it. We only had 1 vehicle so I couldn't drive to Bozeman, nearby. It's where Montana State U is, about 35-40,000 people I hear. (I lived with friends.) Anywho, I realized Tucson was nice because we have 800,000 people, more stuff to do and people to meet! Also, in Arizona it doesn't get much colder than 50 degrees in the winter, during the day. Arizona also has no natural disasters! Sure, we have monsoons but if you're smart, flash floods and lightning won't get to ya. Heh heh. No earthquakes, ever, no tornadoes no nothin'. (We once felt 1 shake from a Cali quake. One little rumble in the ground, lol.) So look at the pros and cons, and if you haven't had the chance to move away and reflect back on your old home, do your best to be content with what you've got! I don't think the USA is boring at all. We've got it better than everyone in almost every aspect, because of the nation we live in. Most people take that for granted too. Well I've done more talking than I expected, and probably needed, so I'll hush up on the subject for now. *looks around and realizes everyone is *
  16. Deddie! *runs at the undead with bow drawn* Heh heh, chances are you will be treated badly, or clomped by us orcs in the game. Outside of game, we'd love to get to know ya. I'm Glok!
  17. Yubbity yub. Diz gaym be bubhosh, me gruk id. (Blizzard has a much better reputation than most gaming companies.)
  18. I don't know if we'll be able to emblemize jewels, though that would be awesome. I know they will have guild emblems available, though for what items I'm not sure. Vradish, hate is too strong I suppose, so I change my statement to dislike. I like Windows because it's the only operating system you can play any good games on, mostly. Macintosh has games but no where near as many, and it usually takes a lot longer for the best and most popular games to come out. This isn't the case with Blizzard, as they release both versions of their games simotaneously most of the time, but 1 company doesn't count. Windows has too many problems, and Microsoft has, largely, monopolized the market. Notice their operating systems all cost atleast $100? XP and 2k pro are around $150, and the corporate server editions are much more expensive than that. This is on average, granted you'll find a good every now and then. I don't think there is a whole lot of competition. Personally, I wish Linux had been primarily popular and signed a deal with Macintosh, so we'd have Macintosh hardware with Linux OS's. That'd be the best computer I can imagine, as Macintosh has something right with their hardware. If they had the money that Microsoft does, computer technology would already be optical and consumer-ready. Intel has an optical processor, I know, but even Microsoft could only buy a few of them (cost effectively).
  19. Lat tink'r uz blah humie blah!? BAH! Lat gid klomped bi Glok'tur reel fazt! Nub stinkee humie blah! Kummeeer!!! *starts firing arrows* Heh heh, that would be Glok's response in game, if you told him you wanted to speak human english. On the real, we're here to role play, therefore we'll be strictly speaking "orcish." It basically is english, with some words exchanged, and all words broken. Don't beat yourself up trying to "learn" it. It's not hard at all, you'll see once we get ingame. =) When you're reading it, think english but very slurred. How would you talk if you were joking with your friends, acting like you were really dumb? "Har, me tink you look funny." Now in orcish it would be, "Har, me tink lat luuk funni." Pronounced exactly the same way, just spelled different to give it the feeling of difference. If this group was a LARP(Live Action RolePlay), we'd probably use normal english and emphasize on rough, deep voices. The change in spelling is merely an alternate way of viewing the same sounding word. It gives it uniqueness! (Uniquity? lol)
  20. Har, lat wil nub tink'r dat wen lat gid uzed tu id. Lat nub hab tu blah id tuu muj yed. Juz wayt! Lat be blahun' id en latz sleeb wen da gaym gu libe! HAR! Yub, dat funni.
  21. I take by the ... you don't like living there? What's it like? ~Glok
  22. Har har, deddies gu skwish, beddur den pinkeez! Id bubhosh fun.
  23. Skah... Me tink me nede gruk huw tu REED. Har har.. Yub, Balandar am Grulg. Nub shur wud guin un en me hed.
  24. Hahahhaa, Bill Gates email. That's great! I don't know the guy, he is probably nice. He donates to a lot of charity. But I DO know that I hate his operating system, and he stole the idea from the owner of Macintosh, who was his friend. So I don't like him.
  25. Lat blahun elf blah? Dat nubhosh! Ur wayt, dat humie blah? Wud? Me neber herd humie blah lyke'r dat befur. Heh heh, I'm actually mostly dutch. I don't speak it though. It made me big. 6'9" and 300lbs.
