    Pricing items

I dropped all my vendors and now I sort all the best pieces I get into different chests. Then I wait until I see someone on tradespot wanting a piece I know I have and usually make a deal in about 10 minutes. I sold a pair of 115 luck leggings, for instance, that I won't wear (I wear magery/mana/reagent enhancing items rather than luck) for 700k, the transaction took 5 minutes, from 'Hello' to 'You have deposited 700,000 gold into your account'. Much better than I could have done guessing at prices and overloading my house with vendors (which charge sooo much). But this is just my strategy *Cheblis*
  2. I got a 40% damage increase item and a +8 taming ring at 40 luck last night... *Cheblis' Bard*
  3. Any of those three would be great leaders, though I am not sure why we can't survive without one. Mayhap some of us need direction so badly that an autonomous collective is beyond our reality. What is a leader for? I've never met a President of the USA...does that mean that none that were in office during my lifetime were good leaders? I enjoy my pgoh family. I wouldn't trade it for the world's best, most attentive Emperor. Ask yourselves why you joined pgoh. I don't know what else to say... *Cheblis*
  4. After all the requests are in, please append Cheblis' name on the bottom. I have a patient soul. Except when training stealing....*grumbles* Of course mine has to be the best though...

    Red Bow

I do believe this has been taken care of. *smiles* Cheblis
  6. Wonderfully written. The only thing I would add is that if a Red does show, don't panic. Panic is what they are looking for. With too much panic 1 red can destroy an entire army. Setting a rendevous point in the case of a red attack (or if causualties rise from higher spawn) is a good idea. Group up and hit all at once. Anyone can cure themselves if poisoned once and heal themselves if hit with one Explo/corp por combo, but if 3 mages hit in unison while 2 warriors charge..in there's no chance. This is from my experience, and though it is limited, it is growing fast. I would love to have a nice course on PVP, anyone willing to train me? Maybe make an event out of it? *Cheblis*

    *wonders*

How does a PGoHer get one of those snazzy name plates ye all seem to have? And a ranking perchance? *cheblis*

    Poor Duff

My poor dragon has died a few times too many in my defence. What is the best way to train my drag back up to some kind of fighting capabilites? As he is now, he is like an overgrown drake. *Cheblis*
  9. Ant lions are also good for fertile dirt, not to mention the bonus of all that ore... let me know the time (I am open) and I will join in where ever, when ever *Cheblis*
  10. Well, perhaps I was a little limited in my labeling of the group. It wouldn't have to deal with only PK. It could also deal with : 'I meant to recall home and ended up face to face with the Pheonix...can I get a rez?' My bloodpressure has been well up, more times than I can say this week alone, as I had to use the help function to escape and attempt to reclaim my own things when dying alone. I must have sent 100 Qs for help (seems everytime I turned around I was recalled someplace I didn't want to be) that never seemed to be responded to, most likely because, like I do myself, people forgot to set an away status for their ICQ. Also, this unit isn't for guarding people at champ spawns, however needed that is, which is what I understood the other group to be about. If you would be so kind, BB, please do us the favor of filling us in with a link to the details of this 'anti-pk' group, or if there isn't already a post detailing it, fill us in here so that we can educate ourselves. A problem I am seeing is lack of cohesion in our masses. What was that turnout at the meeting last night? 1/40 of our membership? How can a message possibley be usefull with such a turnout? I understand that things get in the way of meetings sometimes, and RL takes precedence but I was wondering what New Guild's meeting I had just stumbled into... *blushes for being late*
  11. Yes, the best way is with the pack horse or to train with another guilded thief. Carry items that stack and weigh one stone each (empty bottles, lockpicks, etc) and a pile of gold. It is good to switch targets and not steal the same thing over and over. The stackables and gold are nice because you will only steal what you can and the rest will be left over. Since it is success based, if you only manage to steal 2 of the possible 4, you still have a chance of gaining. This information is compiled from a variety of sites that offer techniques for training skills. I haven't gotten far with my thief yet, just starting in fact due to still training my tamer, so if anyone wants to go out and practice some stealing I'm game. *Cheblis*
  12. If you are still looking for this, send me a Q, 177812266. *Cheblis*
  13. These issues are of great importance as well. I have been going to more and more champ spawns of late and there has been a certain red that arrived at the last two and dispatched of a party member. The biggest issue lately with champs has been finding people willing to go, that aren't caught up in some Malas adventure or somesuch, or just aren't tired of champs and reds. I have been attending with groups of 4-7, not enough numbers to set groups dedicated to doing anything but killing spawn and staying alive The focus of the group I had in mind was more for our 'helpless' members or those of us that have some other business in Felluca that brings us there usually alone. The biggest thing being the gathering of supplies. The reason that I came up with the idea is because of a mining trip I went on to Minoc Fel: When my miner got there there were some people gathered around the forge with ghost pets. When I asked, they said that reds were harrassing them and killing them if they went in the mines. So I brought Cheblis there and his dragon quickly dispatched of them. But if I had not been there, they would have had to either search their lists for someone available and willing to help them (and I know how many times I have been in Fel and my list of over 100 people was empty) or give up mining in Fel. One of the miners that I saved was from GOL, one of our biggest allies. So I thought, why not have a volunteer group with a single or scheduled contact (contact q# between x:00 and y:00) that would be both willing and available to respond to these threats. It might also be useful to set up more scheduled excursions for supply gathering, with guards to escort the parties. It isn't so bad mining in Tram, but gathering wood, and leather can be serious expenditures of time there. These are just my thoughts. It would be nice if we could have the name of PGoH be notorious for the protection of those otherwise unable to provide it for themselves.
  14. *Cheblis recently joined our allies and sponsorees into the ACC in a venture do debuff a vendor scam in Malas. The vendor in question was putting in the description of jewelry things like '+11 Animal Taming' and making it appear that the item had that property when in fact it didn't. Some of the items were merely tinkered with no such properties. While most of us are diligent in our purchases it is easy to be caught off guard with these small items that are in such plenty now. We spent a half hour paging the GMs with little response at first, however, after about 30 of us, including members of GOL, RVT, A^E and myself from PGoH, we finally got a GM to come and they shut the vendor down. So they will listen if enough people make a stink. The vendor was in Malas - 24 57 N 24 23 E If anyone find any other scams that need handled, please let me know and I can amass a task force to quickly deal with the issue. We are going to dedicate ourselves to ridding the lands of these scammers and frauds. I am also working on the idea of a PK response unit. Any volunteers to help me plan and organize it would be welcomed and appreciated.
  15. This was a great event, a lot of fun. While there was a certain lack of communication, we could have done a lot worse. One thing I was thinking about the whole time and trying to ask the party was why weren't the spawn being turned on the father, rather than eachother? Is he too big to turn things against? If we turned all those lich lords on him it would save us a lot of hp from all their flamestrikes being used on us and we wouldn't have to worry about dispatching them, as the father would do it for us. I completely agree that the mages should stick together. If we could cast our summons together, all at once, they would do more damage as the father focuses on one at a time to dispell. I would also reccommend casting energy wall in front just before we cast eq, that way he can't do that mad dash right toward us. Energy wall can be good for cornering him as well and keeping him put while we cast away. As for pets. make sure you bring them with you to cross the ferry, can't be summoned when you get across (as I quickly found out, hope I'm not the only one that didn't know) and also that means binding braces don't work either (which I tried). Cheblis (who needs to kill some daemons to make up for the ones he summoned
  16. In my journies I have stumbled upon many a tome of knowledge, I had read that it was possible to walk upon the waves, so I gave it a try: I found it a daunting task and was only able to accomplish it twice. When I arrived in Malas for the first time however, my first glance upon the clashing waves of twinkling space between the continents gave me a wonderful new challenge: walking on the stars. That too was a daunting task, far more than the water of our more stable Britannia below. But I set to the task and proved that anything can be accomplished if you set your mind to it!
  17. Small tower near Yew Crypts, also a steal at...well free! Also, the spot I acquired in Malas is hopefully going to be a pretty good vendor area, so all you out there with GM craftsmen(women) in your families I would like to bulk buy some stuff to sell until I can get mine up there in skill. [Cheblis, Emissary PGoH]
