  1. I'm wondering what day and time would be best for everyone if we were to start doing a weekly champ spawn and/or peerless night.
  2. The role playing community invites every citizen of Catskills to participate in our weekly recurring Skirmish Warfare event. The recruits will be separated into two groups which will fight one another at a pre-determined location. The goal of the battle will be annouced shortly before the event. A special Catskills Militia guild will allow any player to participate, by temporarily recruiting those who are not a member of the role playing community. The rules are simple: * Our main rule: Wear only items crafted with normal crafting tools. No Artifacts, no runic-crafted items, no magic mods, no jewelry, no talismans etc. * As these items can easily be replaced, you don't even need to insure them. * Due to fairness and balancing, powerful pets are not allowed (for example, no Greater Dragons, no Rune Beetles, or 5 animals with pack instinct). If you want to bring pets, please get a permit from the event organizers first. * As your alignment will be determined by color, your armor has to be dyed in a certain color, or you have to wear a robe of that color. * Looting is not allowed. * It will be determined before each battle, whether or not mounts are allowed. This weekend's skirmish will be held Sunday, April 5th, at 2:00 PM EST at Jhelom. Gates will be provided starting at 1:45 in New Haven.
  3. At seven o'clock Eastern time (7:00 PM EST) on Saturday, April 4th, Traveling Bard's Night will be hosted by the United Pirates once again at the Jolly Roger Inn. The event is sponsored by PGoH. The rules of bard's night are simple: * Leave your conflicts at the door and bring your stories with you. * No harsh obscenities are to be used in your stories. * There will be a time limit (usually five minutes, but subject to change due to the number of storytellers). * This week something a little different. Improvisation. Each storyteller will be given 3 minutes to come up with a story based on 3 random objects or words. The top three will win cash prizes and will be given an invitation to the champions event at a later date. The prize will be divided as follows: 500,000 gold crowns for first place; 325,000 gold crowns for second; and 175,000 gold crowns for third. Judging will take place by three crowd members chosen at random, who will decide on the winners. The Jolly Roger Inn's coordinates are 169o 32'S 21o 35' E in Trammel, and gates will be run from New Haven starting at approximately 6:30 to give people time to come sign up. See you there!

  5. You were given our terms, counter offers were not requested nor are they being accepted. Either accept the terms as stated in the treaty you were delivered or reject them so we may continue with whatever actions are warranted. *signed* Thom
  6. I don't see anything in the water. I see footprints though... WATCH OUT KATHERINE IT'S BEHIND YOU!!
  7. Sorry Calli, i'll have to let Piper have her way on this one... Kelfer's not around to protect me if I don't.
  8. You can come Calli... geez like you need to ask. And Kang... it's not our fault you get beat up by girls.
  9. ((This is my first announcement to the guild so bare with me here. My lack of skill in spelling is only eclipsed by my lack of skill in using websites-.-)) There's going to be a humility hunt on Thursday, eight o'clock by the eastern sun. I have been asked to gather up some bone piles, and the humility suggestion really sounded as if it would make things a little more interesting. The hunt is open to any and all Guardians, I hope to see you there. Also, sometime Saturday afternoon we are going to train a bit, in response to the current situation with that Casca fellow, the time will be released at a later time. Strength and Honor, Eban
  10. CoH or Council of Honor straight from the codex "The Council of HONOR is comprised of the Emperor, Magister Officarium, Magistrate Quaestor Palatii, Magistrate Praipositus Sacri, Senator of War, Senator of Arcane, Senator of Genesis, Senator of Trades, Senator of Espionage, Head of State, and Praetorian Prefect." With the recent changes that were voted on the Senators have been changed. We just recently filled enough voting seats on the council that we could actually make changes to the Codex. And I see that as a good thing. The council isn't a way to exclude people, if you have suggestions or comments on what needs to be changed or has been changed talk to your Senator, or Piper and me. The recent changes the Council made to the Senate and the legion were in the best interest of the guild as a whole. This is the way it's been done since the Codex was implemented. Other changes will most likely be made and it's up to every individual member how active they are in these changes. Talk to the people on council and give them your ideas. Without your input we are left guessing. There is a clear heirarchy being followed as is discussed in the Codex. And always keep in mind that if we are straying too far from the original values and ideas of PGoH that Borg can step in at any time and veto any and all changes. Also, as far as the armor goes... Scarst at the moment the only other guild that's commited to it as far as I know is UP. We've been talking to a few others and i'll let you all know if and when we get commitments from them to use the gm gear. I'd like to be able to trust that everyone will do what's right in this case. The armor change is something that Piper and I discussed long and hard a while back and recently we came to the agreement with Hawkeye from UP to implement it as a test. So far I think things are going well with it. Katherine isn't the only one looking to see it's implemented.
  11. Well Kang, that kind of falls under one of those exceptions I was talking about. I understand not wanting to draw negative attention to the guild, and when people notice IDOCers they usually assume that they are running scripts. Therefor IDOCing is one of those things i'd let people turn tags off for so long as the tags are turned back on once your done with the IDOC.

    Zoo Spawn

This weeks zoo spawn will be at Bedlam. Anybody that wants to go will need to make sure they've completed the quest before Tuesday night. I'll be around Monday afternoon to help anyone that needs to do the quest for entry.
  13. I’d like to point out a few things that are expected of everyone in guild. First of all you should all be familiar with the Codex. In specific the sections dealing with oaths, conduct, and the rules of engagement. The first thing I’d like to address is Article III section 7 of the Codex. It’s very important that everyone is familiar with this section of the Codex as it states our rules of engagement. In particular I’d like to draw attention to the following areas. Remain in character as best as possible. Mistakes happen but I’ve noticed a lot of slipping into OOC conversations and such happening lately. This is especially important when members of other guilds are around. Another part of remaining in character is refraining from going afk in public places. Obviously emergencies happen, but you shouldn’t be afk in a public area any longer than necessary. Not only does it lead many people to the wrong conclusions about why you are not responding, it also reflects poorly on the entire guild. We are a role playing guild and do not need to be associated with afk bank sitting at best and scripting at worst. Engaging the enemy. We offer warnings before attacking. This means out of guild as well as in guild. And please remember that fighting is not the only way to resolve an issue. Tamers. Best judgment does not mean whatever you think will kill them fastest. This isn’t a problem currently, but we’ve added several tamers lately. Guild tags. Your guild tags should be turned on at all times. This goes for all members at all times, unless special permission has been given for you to turn it off for a specific reason. If permission is given then as soon as you are finished with your activity it should be turned back on promptly. Uniforms. Uniforms are also to be worn at all times unless instructed otherwise. I understand that uniforms can be lost, but with the vendor at Galehaven set up to sell uniform pieces there is no excuse not to have it replaced quickly. Another thing I’d like to address is Article VIII Oaths. All members upon being admitted to the guild are agreeing to this oath. The main thing in this section I’d like to draw attention to is paragraph ii as this deals with our code of conduct. And finally, as several of our members are looking at being promoted into the higher ranks soon I’d like to point out that the leaders of the guild are expected to set the example for the rest of the members. As leaders we will be held to a higher standard of role play and conduct, both by the community and ourselves. This goes for all characters that are in guild that you play.
  14. For this weeks spawn they are meeting at the ilsh spirituality gate at 7:30 pm for an Oaks spawn. They'll be leaving at 7:50 and starting the spawn at 8. Let's try and get as many people there as possible and help support our zoo. On a related note Catskills now not only has the oldest crane of any shard we also are the first shard to have tier 11 in the zoos on both facets at the same time.
  15. Glad to see you'll be coming back soon Mare.
  16. Alright Katherine since you shot all my excuses down here's two songs for you. 1. Bad Girlfriend by Theory of a Deadman 2. Pain by Three Days Grace
  17. I'll be ending the contracts on the vendors at my house soon since the new vendor mall is ready to start placing vendors. I meant to do this earlier this week but I haven't been around a lot lately.

  19. It's not my fault The dragons couldn't kill me mike doesn't come out until I die he's like a second stage boss I'll be more than happy to keep my dragon off it so we can see next time
  20. Yeah... I can't make it Saturday since i'll be out of town so Friday at whatever time is good for me. We'll go with whatever means the most people can attend even if I end up missing it though so you guys need to let us know.
  21. I'm going to start out by saying that Piper's reply covers my thoughts on this topic as well. As she said we've talked a lot about some of the things Tyr brought up in his post. Between her school and my overtime lately we aren't around as much as some people would like. But, the guild doesn't need any specific people to be around in order for things to happen. If you have specific ideas for things to do or want to try and set up spawns or hunts the forums are here for that. It would be good for everyone to register and start using the forums for this type of thing. And the only other thing I really feel I need to say is that if people only log on long enough to see if something is happening there will almost never be anything happening. What I see happening a lot lately is people log in for 5 or so minutes to check if anything is happening then they log off and miss the other people doing the same thing.
  22. The next Joust will be held at the Imperial Jousting Arena on Saturday September the 6th at 9 PM Eastern. Jousting Rules Entry Fee: 10,000 gold. Please bring your entry fee in check form. Jousting suits can be bought from the vendor at Galehaven. Jewelry: No jewelry is allowed. Mounts: Standard Horses only, No ethereal mounts. Attacking of mounts will result in automatic disqualification. Lances: Luna Lances will be provided for each participant. If you are not strong enough to equip one you may use a strength potion. Failure to return the lance will result in disqualification. Clothing: Anything that covers armor is not allowed. Potions: No potions except strength are allowed. Spells and Abilities: No special abilities or spells can be used except the dismount special from the lance. Scoring: Contestants will score a point for each succesful dismount. The first contestant to reach three points will win the round. If both contestants are dismounted at the same time then both will receive a point. If it results in a tie then the round will continue until the tie is broken. Rounds will continue until the first, second, and third place winners are decided. (All participants will have to either be in a guild that is highlighted to PGoH or will need to temporarily join PGoH for the duration of the event.)
  23. The sun was barely up when Thom woke and quietly dressed. He paused a moment at the door to the bedroom, watching Piper until he was convinced she was asleep before leaving and closing the door quietly behind him. He walked quickly down both sets of stairs and slipped out the front door. He closed the door softly and took a deep breath while setting off towards the Trinsic moongate. He barely spared a glance at most things as he walked by, too absorbed in his own thoughts to worry too much about anything else. He slowed as he reached the gate, and took a long look around before stepping inside. He reappeared on the Moonglow side and set off towards the docks. He boarded a small boat and set off towards Fire Island, and ‘home’. As he got closer to the island he removed his cloak, sash, kilt and apron; he folded them neatly and placed them under the bench. He let the boat drift in the currents whenever possible, only rowing when it was absolutely necessary; preferring to save every bit of strength he could for when he actually reached his destination. The closer he got to the island the darker his thoughts turned, and he began to reexamine why he was so insistent on going back again. Before he could get very far with those particular thoughts the bottom of the boat scraped onto shore. Sighing softly he stepped onto the beach and pulled the boat a little further onto shore in case he needed it again. He turned slowly and scanned the surrounding area. There was no sign of any living person within sight of the beach, and Thom’s gaze eventually moved to the mountains where he would find the village. He moved slowly through the underbrush, continuously scanning the area for any signs that someone had passed through recently. Before long he came to a clearing on the edge of town. He stopped just outside the protection of the trees, trying to decide where to go first. The choice was quickly taken from him though as a man spotted him and called for help. Thom narrowed his eyes as he recognized the men that came in answer to the call for help. At the lead was Joshua, followed by all four of the men that had helped ambush him last time. The men were laughing as they walked up and formed themselves in a rough circle around Thom. “Well well, look what finally came back” Joshua sneered as he stopped directly in front of Thom. “Didn’t get enough last time?” Thom shook his head “I didn’t come back to fight with you. I just want the chance to defend myself against these charges.” Joshua laughed “you mean you came back to die then. We won’t make the same mistake twice; there won’t be anybody to come save you this time.” Thom let out a deep growl then shook his head again trying desperately to think of something to calm himself down. “Didn’t tell anybody you were coming did you?” asked Joshua with a smirk. Thom nodded “Actually, I did this time” he said. “Well, no matter - one body or two - makes little difference to me.” The threat against Piper forced Thom to loose what little control he had left. Thom suddenly launched himself at Joshua with a growl coming within inches of ripping out his throat with his teeth. Joshua took a step back and tripped, saving himself from Thom’s teeth, but landing hard on his back. The two men to either side of Joshua both reached for Thom as he was preparing to attack again. The one on the right went down before touching Thom with a blowgun dart sticking out of his back. The one on the left managed to wrap his arms around Thom’s neck and haul him backwards before Thom managed to bite his arm, forcing him to let go. Thom didn’t even notice when the second man fell with a dart in his neck. Thom’s attention was drawn back to Joshua as he started scooting backwards. The third man caught Thom in the lower back with a kick before going down to another dart. The fourth man had managed to get his club out and swing at Thom, hitting him in the right shoulder before going down to another dart. The last man had been anxiously searching for where the darts were coming from since the first man went down, and finally spotted someone wrapped in a loose shroud in one of the trees. He took one look at Joshua and Thom and took off running in the opposite direction, eventually falling to a dart. By this time Joshua had backed up far enough for the figure in the tree to get a good shot at him and he was hit with a dart. Thom crouched down looking at Joshua’s still form; confused. While Thom was examining Joshua the figure in the tree slid down the trunk until it was close enough to the bottom to hop down. Thom heard the sound of boots hitting the ground, and turned to face it with a growl. Mistaking the blow gun in its hand as a stick he charged the figure as it raised its free hand towards the bandana covering its face. The figure cursed and stumbled back while shooting a dart at him, which hit him in the arm, but it barely slowed him. The figure put some distance between them and shot him again. The second dart hit him in the chest, and the force of the combined tranquilizers finally overcame him, as he stumbled to his knees and crashed to the ground.
  24. Thom walked through the forest easily picking the best path to the village. He was pretty sure that the message he had received was some sort of joke, but he had to check it out for sure. His brow furrowed as he tried to think of any reason he should even care if his mother was ill. It wasn’t as if she had ever cared for him in any way. She had actually been one of the first people to call for his banishment years ago. Just as he decided he really didn’t care and should go home before any trouble got started a man stepped onto the path. Thom squinted at the man trying to figure out who he was, and more importantly what he wanted. The man stepped forward and grinned “Hello Thomas, I’ve been waiting for you.” The bushes behind him rustled as four more men stepped out. As he looked behind him Thom shook his head, how could he have missed all five men? He brought his attention back to the first man and sighed “Hello Joshua, it’s been a long time.” Joshua laughed and pulled a parchment out of his pouch. He smirked as he handed it to Thom and said “I didn’t think that message would get you to come, but I’m glad it did. You’re under arrest for murder.” Thom blinked a few times and started to read the paper. “This is ridiculous” he said “I haven’t seen Samuel in a long time now…” Joshua shrugged “If nothing else you have broken the agreement that spared your life last time.” Thom looked up angrily “You know good and well I was always allowed to remain in the forest, just not close to the village. And besides, I wouldn’t have come except for the message about my mother.” “Then I guess we have to take you into the village eventually, but if it makes you feel any better it was your mother’s idea to send you that message.” He replied. Trying to think quickly Thom used the last thing he could to try and get away before Joshua lost patience and had his men attack. “Send a message to the Guardians in Trinsic. They will guarantee I come back for trial.” Joshua smirked “Why would I bother doing that? I already have you here.” He motioned to the men standing behind Thom and they stepped forward slowly, nervously eyeing the nightmare. Thom silently cursed himself for not having brought the Cu. “You’re about to make a huge mistake Joshua… I’m the emperor of the Guardians now.” Joshua laughed and turned to his men “I want him alive, but make it hurt. Maybe we’ll get a reward for capturing him now.” Thom motioned for the mare to stay and turned to face the four men. He knew Joshua would wait until the others took him down before joining in; the man had always been a coward. Noticing they didn’t have any weapons Thom stepped forward and caught the first in the face with a fist, dropping him to the ground out cold. The other three spread out a little forcing him to divide his attention. Thom tried desperately to avoid the blows coming from the others, and even managed to land a few of his own. But there were too many, he eventually caught a punch in the eye and staggered back a few steps. Taking advantage of Thom’s momentary lose of concentration one of the other men kicked at his knee. Thom almost managed to dodge the kick but it hit hard enough to send him crashing to the ground. The others took advantage of him being down and proceeded to kick him until Joshua called them off. Thom groaned in pain as he forced himself to his knees. Joshua stepped forward with his sword drawn and slammed the hilt into the back of Thom’s head, knocking him out.
  25. EXTRA! TRINSIC NEWS SPECIAL! We had reports earlier today from both Trinsic Town Guard units and an unidentified Praetorian that the prisoner who called himself merely ‘Death’ who was apprehended approximately two years ago has engineered a daring jailbreak. Late last night a tumult was heard in the jail as several prisoners rioted, and a daring break in occurred at the Guardians Imperial Museum just minutes before, causing chaos and confusion amongst the town guards and allowing the dangerous criminal to escape. After his killing spree and subsequent cult activities that occurred during his terrifying slaughter two years ago, we have been told to consider him extremely dangerous and possibly completely insane. All who see this criminal should do their best to avoid him, and all Guardians and Town Guards alike have been told to be on alert for suspicious activity. We are told that the criminal escaped in only his prison issued orange robe, but it is likely that he has had time to recover much of his hidden arsenals that were never found. Consider this suspect armed and incredibly dangerous, and lock your doors tonight, Trinsic. OOC: We are beginning an intraguild scenario involving heavy RP and also spontaneous PVP. The scenario is kicking off with the escape of a dangerous criminal. Guardians are to attempt to reason and possibly talk the suspect down, at least until reinforcements arrive. This criminal can not be ‘arrested’ without a force of at least three able and non wounded guardians when the criminal is taken down. (Able and non wounded is described as being not killed and out of death robe.) Otherwise the criminal is able to recall out of the situation. PVP alone will solve nothing, and you must learn what has happened and how he broke out of jail to get to the next part of the scenario, in which a larger scale battle will be waged. As you learn more, a few new rules will be presented (Not limitations, clarifications.) Try to be as fair as you can when fighting, especially in this first part as the criminal is alone with no one while you may use as many reinforcements as you can muster.
