Well, I don't get to see/hear everything like you do as the boss, Maube, and I don't really read the chat bars too much during a raid so I don't pick up on alot ... that said I hope it ain't serious gripin', because I agree, the loot generators will always make more. Me personally, I am happy as a clam when I get something and not disappointed when someone gets it ahead of me because that just means 1)we have it easier the next time and 2)there is that much better chance that I will be the only priest needing a particular item when it drops later! The raids are fun... a lot more fun than I thought they would be as a priest to be honest (though I have had many many dreams that have involved large flamey critters and 40 sets of health bars in my field of vision ). I have picked up 4 pieces of loot from the core so far, 2 no one else was gonna roll on(great for me because they were both items I really wanted) and 2 because other Crushers new I was bidding and decided to bow out to give me a shot(thanks again Benim and Katak!)... now if I go a couple trips without getting anything, that is fine because I know that eventually I will get what I want. I am just enjoying the ride. I hope everyone kinda takes that to heart though, because what separates us from the "hardcore" raiding guilds isn't just time in the raids, but our mentality and outlook towards them. We play to have fun and enjoy the game... not to WTFPWN the next instance and stroke our epeens.

80 ish FR here... However, I come equiped with a stack of greater fire resist potions and I chug them instead of the mana potions I would have to guzzle if I gave up stats and +healing on behalf of more FR gear.

Gah! Too late of a start for me... unless it is Tuesday night. (which, go figure, it is...NM..or did you mean Monday July 10th?) Personally, I would suggest attacking Darnassus. Anyone over level 50 can run through the inn at Auberdine and shed aggro at the end of the dock, then run onto the boat(the guards drop aggro if you get on the boat). Then bail out of the boat before it docks and swim to the shore and then run to the portal. Once inside everyone needs to just hang a hard left and run a bit and will lose aggro after 30 -50 yards or so and there are no NPCs for a while. The group would then be close to the druid area and could easily go up and take out Staghelm(no elites in the way) or work their way around the city to take out the priestess. Also, the population of Darnassus is far less than any major city and most of those there are RPers as opposed to PvP gankers. Just a thought.

Aside from the 'lock belt, it seemed that we had a lava core or fiery core drop every other critter tonight after the raid was over... damn good night it was.

Not only have I now listed the problems, but possible reason why the nature of the Night Elf is thus. I assure you that all my data is based on pure hard fact. Night Elves are stuck up. It's true.They're all full of themselves, the selfish, willy nillies. Ask any non-Night Elf. Night Elf Females are confused. It is no mystery why it is common to see Night Elf females dancing close to each other. The males of the race have been missing for 10,000 years. It is perfectly acceptable that the females are attracted to each other. Night Elf Druids are confused. These druids have been hibernating for thousands of years. It appears many of them have forgotten their origins and prefer to flirt with bears and other animals as opposed to the females of the race, who are too busy flirting with one another. Night Elves lack clothing. Having no sheep, fields to grow cotton, etc, Night Elves have a profound lack of clothing. Yes, they have feathers and bark to wear, but I am assured that many of them discover at a young age that feathers attract lice, and bark chafes. So, since it is apparent that the Elves live most of their young life without clothing, they come to our lands expecting to be able to prance around naked as a jaybird and be accepted. Well I assure you, the jaybirds are more modest, at least they put up with the lice. Night Elves can't use ships. Have you ever seen a working Night Elf ship? No! Most of them are sunk or wrecked! This could be from Naga, Murlocs, or poor Night Elf navigation, but then WHY make a new city out in deep water!? It's insane! I can only blame this on Staghelm. Night Elves act wrong. Night Elf women run like little girls. Night Elf women lie down like an innocent young girl taking a nap. Night Elf women sit like little girls, innocent and attentive to whom ever they are listening to. Night Elf women flip in mid air when they die like a little girl taking a mace to the head. Then, Night Elf women dance like strippers. SO INCREDIBLY WRONG. Night Elf men walk like pimps, especially when surrounded by Night Elf women. SO INCREDIBLY WRONG. YOU SICK, NAUGHTY, BAD, BAD PERVERTS! Night Elf Hunters aren't stopping. We all know about the number of Night Elf Hunters. But, they are still being rolled today. They just don't get it. Night Elves are the source of all problems. And from them, all problems have spread further outward... They summoned Sargeras and the Burning Legion. Which lead to Highbourne and Satyr. Which lead to the Sundering. Which lead to Naga. Which lead to the Burning Legion returning 10'000 years later. Which lead to the Scourge. Which lead to Blood Elves. For all we know, they'll be written to be the source of Harpies too. Night Elves aren't Gnomes. Thank the maker! Night Elves are enhanced Trolls. Anything that comes from Trolls is just bad, whether it's their smell, taste, or art decor styles. So why a Night Elf may still be blessed with eternity water, they're still just an enhanced Troll. Imagine if Gnomes had access to the Well of Eternity! Why, I bet we'd get as tall as Dwarfs! Giants among men! Night Elves hate home. There are more Night Elves in Elwynn Forest, Ironforge, and Stormwind then anywhere else in the world. In fact, Night Elves leave Kalimdor as fast as possible. Yet, soon enough when they get around 10-20ish, they start spamming the general chats with "Portal to Darnassus please." WELL WHY DID YOU LEAVE IN THE FIRST PLACE!? Night Elves farm gold. 87.32% of Night Elves farm gold. Dwarves farm gold as well, but that's expected, they're Dwarves. Night Elves are just being hypocrytical. Night Elves hate nature. I'm going to give you two visualizations. First of all, think of a Night Elf, with what you know of your experiences of them. Then, read my two examples, and see which one is closer. A. A Night Elf alone in the wilds healing nature. It eats only to feed itself, and nothing stops its vengeance when protecting the forests. It has a set territory and will help anyone who needs assistance in the wilds. It knows the local wildlife by name and can smell an enemy scent from miles away. B. A Night Elf sitting outside a tavern, breath smelling like ale, complaining about the heat and waving at flies that buzz around it aggravatingly. Behind it, there is a lumber mill with great trees being cut down, but it is more frustrated at the wine someone just spilled on it's crotchless chaps. How could someone embarrass it so during this prime social gathering? It's true. Most people pick B. Well, there you have it. The problems with Night Elves. Frankly, I didn't continue my study to include possible solutions for the misguided race. Please feel free to add your own proven facts about Night Elves!

Some nice changes for PvP, but I really think a lot of those changes will help people acheive more end game functionality without being pigeon-holed into one build. Looks good. Although I can imagine the warriors screaming bloody murder about that "all weapon bonus" talent. I know I am irked that there is not something similar for a priest with spells

Maube (and any others concerned), my post was not intended to be inflammatory or what not, just a statement of fact given the situation you laid out. I am a newb, never denied it... hell I was in MC before I was ever in DM or Strat, and have never been in BRS upper or lower. *shrug* I also did most of my levelling as shadow and really don't know if I am good, bad or craptastic as a healer because I have no one to compare to. Now when I say that if I am not pulling my weight on account of not running a program and I will bow out if that is the case, I mean it. Not a big deal, if the group is better served by having everyone soing the same deal and I am hindering that, than by all means get someone else. Trust me my feelings will not be hurt. All I ask is honesty as to my abilities/value to a raid... if I ain't cuttin' it, cut me and find someone who does. That's all. A few other things, I am not an idiot, when I say my 6 year old home built comp can't handle something, please don't tell me I am wrong, unless you wish to provide me with a new rig. I always try before I decide. Also, while I appreciate and accept everyone's opinion on what is needed/useful/required/helpful/kick-ass as far as mods go, I know the limits of my comp and what I have been able to do without them, please don't preach and please don't try to "correct" me or denigrate my stance on the matter because I disagree with your dogma. Perhaps it is my stubborn refusal to use outside programs talking, but shouldn't people be able to recognize and adapt to situations in a raid? I mean, shouldn't class leaders be on the ball as far as what their class has to do to ensure success without the raid leader telling them to do so? Maube, as a Raid leader you are a coordinator, you should not have to babysit every member of every profession. The individual leaders should be able to handle their respective tasks. Also, if a person is regularly showing up unprepared for a raid... be it reagents, repairs or whatever... that person should be pulled aside and told, "Hey, no more or you get left out". It works better and, I know at least me personally, it is better to be told directly you are screwing up than to hear about it second hand or worse.

I appreciate your situation Maube, however, I have never received a /tell from you about anything unless it was about water(granted, EVERYTHING in MC is an upgrade for me) I understand that it makes things easier for you, for me it slows my computer down to a crawl. So far I have not had an issue with healing without CTRaid, whether it is main tank, off tank or spot healing... and my apologies, but that is what I base it's need on. I could have a slide show and run the program that I don't need, or I could keep doing what I am doing. Now if my performance on account of lack of this program is an issue, then let me know and I will opt out of the raids to make space for someone else and just pursue other means to get better gear. I always show up with around 100 candles and plenty of bandages/potions and I don't think I have hindered the raid in any way on account of my not using an add on, but again, if I am wrong in this belief please let me know. I will not use 3d party program for the following reasons: 1)They slow my comp down(it is 6 years old) to a crawl. 2)I don't see the need for them... convenience yes, need, no. 3)I played Asheron's Call and saw what rampant 3d party programs can do to ruin a game. I responded to this because I am one of those folks that denounces the use of said programs, and while not sure this was directed at me, I certainly fit the bill. ~Fomor

Priest shield can be dispelled/purged, a Pally bubble can't, but there are some items that proc a shield similar to a pallies. I agree though, if a pally bubble a whole run across the field I would call serious shenanigens. A pally bubble lasts about 11 seconds... long enough for them to bubble and hearth, which they do alot. I think the cooldown is about 30 seconds or so, though I am not positive.

Hmm, I was kinda under the impression that when a Pally bubbled, they dropped the flag...like a rogue or druid stealthing. Maybe there was a priest following and shielding? Or perhaps a trinket/item proc? I know a pallies shield would not last even halfway across a battlefield and the cooldown would make them unable for a full run. Who knows.

::bangs head on the wall:: addons are not 3rd party... addons uses built in language and variables... Great part of Blizzard's UI is made in that same language. whatever. if you think you're playing ok, whatever. Bang your head all you want. Any program that originates outside of the one you are using requires more resources (bandwith, processing speed) to use and thus slows down your machine. I know, I have tried, when instant cast abilities take a few seconds, there is a problem. And yeah, I know I am playing just fine.

Now if only priests could get one single instant damage(non channeled) spell... like hey! If our blast spell worked like everyone else's!

Well... There's no difference, Fomor. If you look inside your Interfaces/Addons folder you will see that you HAVE addons, all from Blizzard. Since 1.8 (I think) all complex interfaces are addons made by blizzard. The new RaidUI is all there. It's encrypted, but they're there. So, the new RaidUI is bigger and has a bigger memory usage. I Using addons add to the game's memory usage? Yes. But the updates on Blizzard's default UI adds the same way. It's a illusion to think that only because it's made by Blizzard on the Default UI it will not make the game heavier. In time, Blizzard will add so many things to the game that our current machines that run it well will start to have problems and we'll need an upgrade to keep up with memory/resources usage. It may add less to the resource usage because Blizzard com compress and add stuff in ways that the common addons can't, but don't think that they can add stuff without adding to the game size, they're not that magic. 3rd party programs slow down a machine more than an integrated program... you are fooling yourself if you think otherwise. But I am not gonna rehash this old argument, I don't use add ons and now many of the benefits of the biggest used one are built into the game. Win-win.
