Hmm. Well, I'll stay with CT for some time until I see some automatic tools for using the new channels. /rw is cool, but you still having to write things by hand, not very produtive.

And the new CT version sure will have support to the new interface.

As I said before, Blizzard's Interface sucks, so they get what they like on the addons world to fix

Involves stop damaging one of the elites when it hits 10% and god knows that stoping DPS is nearly impossible with out trigger happy squad

But it shows where mobs should be, and that was a little helpful to me ("Tank him in the middle", "What middle?", ).

The videos on the internet are messy. The better I found was one saying "how to play a rogue on the Majordomo encounter" and was about showing how many crits the guy did. Not helpful at all.

But I think that if we get yesterday's pace from wednesday we will end with plenty of time to try and try again on the friday run. We may spend sometime wiping but well, it's a hard fight and after Domo, Ragnaros! We're almost there. Must work on more FR.

BTW, it was a very good raid last night. Plenty of drops, penty of healing, plenty dps... it was very very nice to end the raid with only 1 death (not counting the majordomo wipes )).

The first 3 or 4 bosses of MC are priest/warrior heavy. It's Blizzard helping the tanks and healers so the raid can stay alive

I agree, there's no difference on the damage, only on the healing The times when we got golemagg (and the Harbinger) down we had plenty of healing on the MT and the OT, overhealing to be true, because we don't even used fancy strategies (separating the priests, MT/Healer rotation).

But we will work on getting more priests.

(Blizzard actually encourages the use and development of add-ons...I didn't believe it myself until I looked at their add-on related forums and documentation).

It's because they know what a crappy default UI the game has. On a forum thread one of the developers said something like "of course we wanted our interface to be as spiffy and custmizable as Discord Mods do, or have all the functions that Titan Bar provides, or even a Raid interface like CT_Raid, but we know that our target are a wide range of machines and types of players that may not be able to deal with complex configurations or heavy interfaces, so we provide the addons as a form to the players that want to customize that".

I don't want my game easier.

Tanking in 40 man raid is madness. Every mob that loses control can wipe a whole group. Using CT_Raid (or that other one, compatible and similar) is the only way to coordinate it. Think in it as a tool to make Maube's, healers, tanks and everybody else gaming a good experience.

Even being a great attitude wanting to "get the hard version of the game", it doesn't help the team. We could use another great tank, but there's no point in tanking without CT_Raid. The time you will spend trying to find the target, or noticing that you lost aggro, or one of the dozens bad things that can happen will surely have a bad impact on the raid.

Get CT_Raid, use it on the Raids and disable it after. It's for the teamwork, not for you. Tanking is about giving time to the squishies do their jobs and keeping everybody alive

Well, me too, but most people think that low dps = suffering. And I really have not noticed your protection spec, but the only thing we did together was RFC and you was dual wielding. In my head, you're fury. Nice to know you has been protection from the start. Painful leveling.

One thing though, was reading the MC rules thing, and notice it listed CTraid as a requirement. Call me stupid or stubborn, but I refuse to use third party programs. If the unbendable rule is that you MUST have CTraid to do molten core, then I regretfully will not be doing molten core.

CT_Raid is not a 3rd part program, is an addon. The difference is, addons don't break any rules from Blizzard, in fact, CT_Raid team work very closely to the Blizzard team and much of the default Raid interface from WoW is based on ideas from the CT team.

Addons are different from 3rd party program because they don't break the rules. CT_Raid is just a way to organize windows, healthbars and showing text, nothing is automatic or macro'ed because the Blizzard programming language doesn't permit that kind of thing. Basically, addons are customizations on the User Interface, they don't do anything by itself or automagically.

Please, get CT_Raid and come with us. Relikk, Alhazad and me are the only prot speced (as far as I remember) and it's better that the other warriors stay on their current builds. And, c'mon, tanking in the core is fun.

Fomor helped me on the Emissary in Silithus last night too and he went very well for a newly-60 no-epic priest. Stop whining, signup and join us on the core. If needed, we can do the attunment on the evening.

And Cwn would sure be a nice DPS. Unless she wants to respec to protection but I think that nobody deserves that kind of suffering...

I have the same thing happening too green, once in a while the whole screen goes black for less than a second, almost unnoticable but there. Im using an AMD Sempron 64 3100+ Palermo 1600MHz HT 256KB L2 Cache Socket 754, and an Nvidia 6000 something series (forget the GPU atm). But I dont get the telltale monitor clunk like when youre changing modes.

Well, the problem is, o'course, you using Nvidia

Religious fights apart, I've been able to fix the problem. I installed an old driver from ATi and set the voltage on the PCI-X to a little bit higher than the default (I can change the voltage from the bios setup). I don't know exactly wich one fixed the stuff, but it's fixed.

And um... lets just say I am living up to the Blonde hair color. I apparently lost my keys. in the rush to get to the airport I dropped my keys somewhere and now are in the process of trying to regain them. If they arent at the airport, then well, we are screwed =p

So. I got some new pieces for my machine and upgraded it a bit. Processor is now a Intel P4 3Ghz, on an ASUS P5GPL-X motherboard and topping all that is a Powercolor ATi X800GTO-16 video card.

Installed a new XP, latest drivers and stuff and now I'm hitting the most strange of the problems, after some minutes playing WoW it starts to resync my monitor, like when you apply some of the options. So, I'm running thru barrens and the screen goes all black, I hear the characteristic "cleck" and it comes back. Sometimes, it resyncs the screen like 4 consecutive times (what scares the hell of me).

Anyone has ever saw this problem or read or heard something like?

I discovered that playing in Windowed mode/Maximized prevents it from happening.

I used to be a championship judge for MtG. Never played very well, I lack the concentration, but I was a very good rule advocate and cold reader

And about worth, Wizards used to print his own money: just create a rare card and voilá, you printed a hundred bucks. Now, with MtG Online, they don't even need to print all money they get. A friend of mine (that continued in the MtG scene after I left) pays all his bills with money from the Online game, and he is married and with children in good schools...
