Rhoach Posted March 22, 2007 Share Posted March 22, 2007 Since a lot of people check the forums by just doing the 'all new posts' dealy, they wouldn't realize that they were missing any messages, since they wouldn't see messages from the protected forum if the password had been changed without their realization. In addition, if you use the 'view new posts' button a few days after new posts have been made, then the posts will not be counted as new anymore, and will not show up in your search. Therefore, if the password is changed and a general post made about it, and someone hasn't checked the forum in a few days, then they can easily be left in the dark.
