  1. The thing to do ATM is run the 21-29 BG with Twink Alts. You avoid a lot of the later powers and certain classes arent fully flushed yet.

You don't have the lv 30 warriors with WW Axe dominating, but you do see a ton of duel wielding rogues with lifestealer blues. Whcih is ludicrous.

But these characters dont ever XP.

  2. But until then...and after then...the loser of these matches gets squat for showing up. There's already mention of many casual gamers leaving the BG's altogether for this reason. We can't help when Shad or Juggs AFKs out of a match against the A-Teams and we get stuck facing them and get slaughtered as a pick up group. Now we get nothing for even trying to stick it out. NADA. Nothing. Where is my incentive now at 60, with no epic gear, and can't get a PUG to stick together to work out strategies? Pretty well blows my chances of ever progressing in AB or WSG in most cases as far as faction goes. I'm barely into friendly with Huato with both those groups. With this change, I will probably never see Honored unless we and the AC can put together a couple teams that work well together. No more casual battle grounds at 60. Just isn't going to happen.

A bit of doom and glooming if you ask me. ;)

Try and look at the big picture. You are not taking this change in the context of the other changes.

If the only thing which was being changed this patch was the 10 minute no reward thing, you would be 100% correct. HOWEVER - this is all predicated on Shaden or Juggger AFKing out of the match.

They won't be AFKing anymore however, as this will hurt their honor gains. Here is how it will work

    BEFORE

A team meets A team. A quick 2 minute start to the match shows this. Our A Team AFK's out if they see that it isnt a PUG they are going up against.

You rejoin their battle to lose to the Alliance A Team in due corse. You get a badge of honor.

    AFTER

A Team meets A team. A quick 2 minute start to the match shows this.

If our A Team AFK's out, they will not be able to re enter the BG for 10 minutes. Meaning that it will have been a 12 minute window gaining no honor. Meanwhile, the Alliance A Team will win in 5 or 6 minutes, meaning that they are back in queue 4-6 minutes faster than our A team, and are guarnateed a PUG, increasing their honor.

Therefore, they likely won't be AFK ing anymore. They will want to try and win and finish the match. That way at least they will get honor from losing. BUT if they throw the match too quickly, they wont get anything. Therefore it will make the best course of action actually PLAYING the match, which is what blizz wants.

Now the only challenge you have as a PUG is survive 10 minutes against the A team from the word go, not from the you rejoin a lost battle part.

  3. Yep, but then there's incentive for us when we fight the A-Teams to stay.

Now there is absolutely no reason for us not to AFK out on them until the next patch.

    /golfclap blizzard

Wait a tic! Lets not be hasty ;)

Remember - as of patch 1.9 you cannot re enter a queue of which you have /afk'd out of for about 10 minutes iirc.

Therefore this fix was introduced. If you stay and lose your battle and it takes 7 minutes, you will be back in the queue after 7 minutes. If you afk out after 3 minutes, you will be back in the queue after 13 minutes instead.

Now the incentive is to try and win, no matter what kind of team the enemy fields.

  4. I have not found a definitive answer on this yet, so I am asking here...is there any benefit to getting to  Exalted with your own faction (i.e. Me being Tauren, getting to Exalted with Thunder Bluff?) ?

I know that with the other factions (Org, UC, Trolls, etc) you can get their mounts for it, but wasn't sure if there was any benefit to doing it with my home faction.

You get a discount. 20% instead of 10%.

  5. AC seems to be working fine to me. I'm assuming that there was no raid on Sunday because of the holiday.

Also, it gets under my skin a bit to see someone that didn't do a whole lot to help the situation out offhandedly remark about how it 'doesn't have much life left in it.'

Please, if you must leave, do so without disparaging remarks. Every person that leaves AC is another setback, but leaving and then remarking in that manner is just rubbing salt in the wounds.

    .

Hmmmm I could have sworn I was posting on the CS forum :innocent:.

Rhoach I did a whooooooole lot to help the situation. You obviously do not understand how much. I worked very hard to make it work, and got very little support from the AC in return. You can ask Muato how much, if you don't believe me.

I have no disparaging comments about CS to make, at all. :yub:

  6. Thanks for the info yet again Kaer...I am going to be indebted to you forever at this rate! :D

Let me know if I can be of assistance with any of your runs too. As long as I have the time I am willing to lend a hand. You've helped me countless times...I'd like to be able to at least attempt to repay the favor. :yub:

The lack of responses so far over at the AC site is leading me to believe it may well be next week before I can get a group rounded up, but I am still hoping to be able to do it this week.

Pish posh. My pleasure to help as always

AC doesn't seem to have a lot of life left in it from the looks of things. Noone leads, and noone wants to follow. Its telling that no raid was planned for Sunday.

But yeah i have no problems helping you with whatever if I am free. Look for me :innocent:

  7. Later in the night and it becomes too late for me...9:30 at the latest. What times work best for you? I am open to changing the day/time if something works out better for more people.

I would love to have ya Smedlock. :yub: Just not sure how long you'd survive in there not being 60 yet. It could be done, but I am not sure...it may take a week or more to get the people together to help too, so you may be our tank.

Everyone in the group must be 60, without exception. The quest reward is epic for a reason. This is seriously an amazingly brutal encounter.

I tanked the green part fine, but then the next part was shadow damage. GG :innocent:

I am booked up this week (likely be running attunements. These Dark Iron Shoulders wont smelt THEMSELVES after all).

Might be able to hit you next week if you can sling together a posse Good news is - the whole process doesnt take too long to do.

    ^_^

  8. I have done this encounter and we wiped on it.

    My suggestion

    1) You must have a priest. No exception. Shackle Undead will win you this fight.

    2) Hunter really helps. Freeze trap works on these guys.

Since you yourself must go, a good group would be :

    Warrior/Hunter/Priest/Shaman/(Mage/Rogue)

  9. Kaer and Nautar,

    Farewell.

I appreciate the time you were with us.  Thanks to Kaer we have gotten many others to join and made many connections in the WoW world.  Also, thank you for your help leading when the chips were down.  You both know how I feel about your decisions. (We've been talking about this for months now)  Hope you only the best finding the fun in the game again.  :(

LIke Rhoach wrote, see you next game hopefully.  Ill be checking out DDO for sure.  Please stay in contact with THE as we will be forming a guild for that game(already in the works).

You can rest assured I will never forget any of you, nor will I truly ever be farther than an email, or a tell away.

I hope that I leave you with as fond memories of myself as I have of you all.

DDO is coming around the corner soon indeed. I am not sure where this next step in WOW will take me, but I shall hopefully be playing for some time to come.

  10. Dearest friends,

It is with a heavy heart and sad composure that I must announce my departure from Clan Skullcrusher along with Nautar, my wife.

I have posted a goodbye thread in AC as well which goes over the main reasons why I am leaving but I wanted to write something more personal here. You all have been very good to me and especially my wife over the last few months. However, as stated in that post, the game itself was no longer becoming fun for me, and my wife was getting to that point as well.

We both want to do content and play in a manner that is not really what CS, or the AC guilds are all about. I don’t want to be a downer, and I certainly didn’t want to quit or change servers. This is the decision that we came to, and it was very hard to make.

We both love you all very much and hope that you will call on us if you need our help for instances, quests, or just to chat about life or the Horde or whatever :) you are all permanently our friends and we wouldn’t want it any other way.

Please support Volonazra as he leads you in the coming weeks, as leadership is a telling and often thankless job. He does wonders for this guild that go largely unappreciated since they are unknown :D

In closing, please say hi whenever you feel the need, and if you need anything smithed for you that I can make it will always be free of charge to anyone in the Family. My wife's Alchemal services are likewise free.

    Love,

    -Cameron and Jackie

PS : Typing /gquit was extremely difficult. I nearly cried. While I was trying to prepare myself for this eventuality I will miss you all more than I imagined at first. I will respond here of course if you have any questions about me leaving.

  11. Darn paladins...I had some of them say they'd help me, only to get into the instance and I was all alone.  :) They went in first too! I just dunno what happened or why they'd abandon a poor moo like that. (I'm totally kidding here :D ))

Have to see about Thursday...the only problem there is Rhoach has the AV raid going, and most of the Horde that could help me will be there instead.

Wed is not the best for me, and neither is tues.

You only need to get 3 more people to come help you - not everyone goes to AV on Thurs.

  12. Huato here be needin' sum vulunteers ta go do me Hammersmith quest dis week...me praposes Wednesday evenin' as da eve ta do it, an me open ta suggestions ta times, but fer me after 7:30 or 8 wud be best.

Da Sons of Draenor are willin' ta help too...Grimgol contacted me an stated dat he wud go, an culd round up a couple of da sons if we kin set a date an time ta do dis...

Wid dat in mind, any vulunteers?

Me is willin' ta forgo any loot includin' righteous orbs ta sweeten da deal ta git help ta go along wid me. Me only wants da smith's apron outta dis.

Don't be rediculous. You shouldnt have to give up any of that garbagy loot to go >:L By loot I mean Rightious orbs of course.

Thats really the problem with live strat. The loot is ass, since we don't have Pallies.

I can do this for you Thurs if you are available then. :)
