  1. Since being back and have yet to have the time to check out Stratics, was wondering if I threw some questions out, maybe you guys know offhand real quick. First, What is this Hooded Shroud of Umbra Ive been hearing about? Second, Has there been any significant changes involving BoDs and rewards and such? Thirdly, Ive been going to Wind Fellucca to fight Daemons for fame, and Ive noticed that Ive been getting faction silver ever so often for killing these, not every one its sporadic, but I know faction silver used to be given only by faction members killings specific creatures of other faction members, anyone know what this is about? Thanks for any help you can give:)
  2. Most of you know, when i last left I was heading to Iraq to do some things that I felt needed to be done, and luckily had the opportunity to do them. I promised myself I wouldn't damper the American Morale, but needless to say this administration isn't making it easy, but thanks to your thoughts and concerns, IM back, slightly damaged but nothing serious. A few close calls and such, but our time is done there and my group has reutrned. My wife has also come back about a week agao, and she is 100 percent. Thank you so much for all your thoughts while we were away. Now to game matters, unfortunately, I didnt keep up with Phase 3 and it got me, took 2 castles, and a couple fellucca towers from me. Thanks to Lora and everyone involved in doing what they could to salvage my items when the houses collapsed, I cant thank you guys enough for just the fortitude to do that for me, that really means alot. I have opened up 2 accounts so far, my Legendary Necro, Legendary smith/miner/tailor, and pally account, and my Legendary tamer account. So I have decent chars, but not a dern thing really aas far as resources. Lora and the rest saved ALOT of stuff though, more than i thought would be saved and IM eternally grateful. I have left my job after Iraq and will be working out of the home, although I will be spending alot of time working on mining and resource gathering and such, I want everyone to know if you dont have my ICQ, ask around, anyone who has it is free to give it out. If anyone needs any help no matter how small, ask me, I'll be in game ALOT now. I gave up alot to do some RL ###### and I want it back!! LOL, mostly the time spent hunting with pGoH is what I want back. SO, thank you all, I look forward to meeting the ones I dont know of, and look forward to seeing those I do again. Thank you so much for allowing me to come back into the fold. STRENGTH AND HONOR!!!!!!
  3. Tod the Sentry gazes wearily at his post. Due to recent events his spirits no doubt are at a low. Hoping for an uneventful, restful night, Tod leans against the castle walls and huddles in for his night at post. Suddenly a quick flash of dim light appears to the tree just off the coast in front of the castle. Tod jumps to arms, peering out unable to see much but a figure in black, due to the moonlight of the waters edge. " Reveal yourself shadow!! For you have come upon the Halls of Olympus, Home to the Guardians of Honor," proclaimed Tod. The figure slowly creeps closer, the posture of the figure leads Tod to believe this shadow means no harm, or does it. As the figure approaches the torches lighting Tod's post, it slowly removes its hooded shroud. "Fear not, Sentry, It is me, I've come home to rejoin my brethren." "Lord Lukkan, tis you?!!," says Tod as he slowly bows in reverance. "You....have you....are you well?" "Aye, Tod, better than ever....considering," speaks Lukkan Mortain. "The guardians will be pleased to see you return, is your journeys through Fellucca at an end? Or is this a quick reunion?" "Nay Tod, this is for good now, the evil in Fellucca I fear is much greater than even my powers can withstand. I've grown older and less vigorous, my place I realized is here with the Guardians. I feel a little ashamed to think I could go off on my own and conquer an Evil I was warned about by Steel Darknight. I've learned much on my time in Fellucca. The battle is better fought from these fronts here. And I hate to admit, but my teachings in Necromancy havent lessened my need for friendship. " "Have you reached the higher levels of your craft through your travels?" "Aye, my friend, Mordor has granted me legendary status, my training is at and end, but with great cost." Tod's look of happiness soon turns to the ground. "Maybe Lord Logan should be the one to tell you this, But.....in your absence your position as Centurion of the Dread Cohort has been filled....I'm sorry Lord." "Nay, Tod, if it hadn't, the fate of this Guild would worry me. It should be filled and I look forward to meeting the new Dread Leader." "So are you to retire to the waters, now? Is your fighting days over?" Lord Lukkan smiles slyly, and Tod has seen this smile before. "I have yet 5 years left before retirement, I will give myself to the Legion as the Leaders see fit. I still have a few tricks left in me that may well serve legionaires. I couldn't forgive myself if I didnt give my services to the fullest until my last days. My hair is still fire red, I havent gone grey yet my friend. I will fill what position Lord Logan sees fit." Tod smiles with glee as Lukkan returns the smile. "Does the guild still gather on the evening of every Sunday?" "Aye, sir, surely they do, and the guild has grown vastly." "Excellent, pass this message to the Elders, I shall gather an appropriate uniform through the Trades Cohort. Let them know I shall make this meeting, and hope that my brothers can accept me again, and allow me to serve next to them for my remaining days." "Great to hear, Sir!! But that wil be a long journey, what with living in Fellucca and all." "Nay, I have spoken with the Lady Lora DeBlood and have been given quarters in Novitus Sanctum, Fellucca is dead to me, I wish for my remaining years to be spent serving the great people of Olympus, as they have watched over me for so long now." "I'll deliver this parchment to Lord Logan myself, he will be please to hear this." "As shall I, Tod. Now, keep a watchful eye old friend. These parts are not completely free of danger." With a swift hand gesture and a quick phrase, Lukkan vanishes from Tod's sight. Tod smiles into the night, thinking of how far this Guild has come, and how grateful he is to be a part of it.
  4. The Halls of Olympus stood quiet this night.......until the front gates bust open and a solemn, half-beaten figure drops to the cold floor. His bag of regeants and some gems fall out of his hand at the feet of Tod the Sentry. Tod bends down to tend to the figure and lets out a great gasp! He runs to the upper room of Olympus and cries out. "Guards!!! Tis Lord Lukkan!!!! He has returned from his quest and is in need of attention. Wake the Arcane Ones and find a necromancer!!" Lukkans face was pale white with no expression and lifeless. No doubt his journeys have drained him not only of his arcane abilities but his physical presence was starting to vanish. In his absence his 2 mansions in Malas have been destroyed and looted, His brother Mordred was killed in the Felluccan mines, and his sister has vanished from the region. The Sentry takes a deep breath and removes a quil and ink from his pack. He quickly scrawls a message and attaches it to his pigeon. "Fly to the Emperor posthaste, he must be made aware of Lukkans return. OOC: Many many thanks to Akroma and Lora and all those who did their best at salvaging my items, that really means alot to have people look out for you. Im back in the States but physically beat up a little bit, so Ill slowly be getting back into the game. Thanks again to everyone!! Lukkan Mortain Dread Centurion (retired)
  5. I want to ask everyone, not that I dont think you already dont, to keep every soldier in IRAQ in your daily thoughts. THe DoD has confirmed that over 100 infilatrators have breeched the borders of iraq asnd are currently occupying areas surrounding major cities i.e. Baghdad, Mosul, Fallujah. I know everyone has them in your thoughts but every time a proganda video from terrorists has come to light thru aljazeera, there has been an attack of some magnitude. If you take a quick look at a map of Iraq, you can see that to the west border is Syria and Jordan, southwest is saudi arabia, and to the west is iran. Not really the greatest place to be if those three countries, or major rebel forces from these countries decide that they dont wanna live anymore and attack. Now 100 may not sound like alot, but it only takes one finger on one RPG unit to take out 2 HummVees. If you pray, pray daily. Thank you for your time.
  6. I will be taking a leave of absence from the game for approximately 6 months. With more bombings near my wifes station, I cant stand the lack of information any longer. I have accepted an advisory position within DoD so I will be heading back to D.C. in 2 weeks. I intially rejected this position so I could spend time with my kids, which I had planned on being my final career move. As usual the state of the world threatens that anyway, so I feel I can better help them by helping fight terrorism. I will be relying on the game for some awaytime from RL when Im sitting in the hotel rooms at night, but it wont be very long periods of time like before. I will be traveling extensively (TX,NY, UK first on the list) so I wil have my laptop and ICQ on pretty much constantly if anyone wants to keep me busy on long flights, hehe. I thank you for your understanding and hope Im welcomed back to the guild once my 1 year tenure in this job is over. Thank you again for your time.
  7. Congratulations!!! Me and Charlie havent had the sweetest of encounters, but thats all in the past and I wish you both the best, if no one has gotten to you by the time you read this about clergy, let me know and Ill holler at some ppl.....oh btw.........."my name is Lucifer, please take my hand" winks at Kendr!!
  8. This is real sad IMO, why would they try to play catch up to all the other 3d games out there now?? And its not an expansion of AOS?? I dont get it...They shoulda called it DiablOUX
  9. Well IM from Wash D.C. and just moved to Tennesee, so I got no involvement in the blackout, but I do get harassed by the rednecks everytime I step outside without something camoflauged on me. Does that count?
  10. Grrr, sounds like another game I wish i didnt hold out on. Oh well, maybe a little later, Ive got 5 betas on my hands. Once Dragon Empires gets a little closer to release, Ill talk to a few ppl about a T.H.E. expansion. They say its to be released this winter but I thnk thats jumping the gun. Hard to get used to 3d after so many years of UO. So far Im liking the dragon empires setup. Ill go back and get the link to the site and post it, so those that have a free second can check it out. Strength and Honor!!
  11. I been so dern busy getting back into UO again for the last few months(god knows why, but if I end up shot in the head, blame AOS) but I noticed everyone from SB has moved to SWG. SO Martok,Wolf,Balandar...how is it?? Ive heard some interesting things about it, good and bad as usual. I wanted to see if The Honor Empire was interested in Dragon Empires at all. I am beta testing it now, and although its still in Beta 0, it looks promising. Sorta reminds me of a cross between Old Fellucca factions and Shadowbane. The game can be played as a solo player but they are encouraging groups to enter the game at once, and i can see why. If anyone is interested in knowing more, ICQ me and I can send you a link, even though you Master Gamers prolly already know about it!! Have fun and......May the force be with you and not from you!! *lost my sig host*

  14. The guard walks down the damp hallways of Britannia jail, thumping his longsword on the ground at every step he takes. He snickers as he passes the thieves and beggars, the minor traffickers and the poor who were jailed simply because they have no place to live. As he passes into a nother corridor his snickers turn to a frown, as he enters the halls of the murderers, rapists, major conartists and the such. The despicable ones of Evil. He approaches a cell that at first sight seems to be empty. "Necromancer!", shouts the guard to no reply. "Show yourself Arcane One" From out of the shadows a figure clad only in a hooded shroud emerges. His beard long and tattered. His hair even longer and obviously unkept for months now. Feet are torn and sore from the hard rock floor, skin pale white from the lack of sunlight. "Your time has been served, necromancer, you are free again. But beware, for the next 40 days we will be keeping a close eye on you. So keep your revenants and familiars at bay, or youll find yourself in here again. A sly grin arises over the grim necromancers face. "Do you think ill let you keep me in here next time?" moans the necromancer. "Get him out of here!! Take him to the magistrate for processing. His brother awaits out front to take him." The guards carry the weakened necromancer to the front of the jail house. As hes being processed out and having his wares returned to him. He sees his brother the miner approaching with a large grin on his face. The miner approaches the necromancer and greets him heartily weith a huge hug. "You have been greatly missed, dear brother, the Empire awaits your return. Changes and restructuring have taken place. Your leadership in the arcane arts is needed once again." "Dear brother, it is nice to be out again. But the walls of the jail cell have kept me from nature, the source of our Arcane abilities. My mana is low and I am weakened, I need rest and sunlight." "No fear, brother, you altar on the rooftop of Dread Sanctum is ready for you. There you can have as much sunlight and nature as you need. Then your seat as Centurion of the Empire awaits you." A sigh of relief comes over the necromancer. "Take me to Malas, brother, I long to go home." The miner takes hold of his weakened brother and leads him to his beetle, to set out for home.
  15. Since i dont have permission to reply in the leaders forum, congrats to Cheblis and Steel!!!
  16. That dear Triston, is the fighting spirit of which I joined this noble guild to begin with!!! STRENGTH AND HONOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Thanks guys, the new puppy is doing well, any advice on the nipping , my kids love the pup but cant stand him jumpingup and nipping at their heels
  18. GASP!!! You mean there are Guardians still alive in Sosaria?!!! Be stil my wretched heart.
  19. Lukkan steps into his villa in Yew, weary from serving penance for murder, to see his twin, Mordred, hard at work on the forge. "Luk, how was it today?," questions Mordred. "As boring as watching you forge metal, brother. We need to talk Mord. I have come to a decision concerning my family and the Empire. In talking with others in my Order of the Arcane Arts. Along routes of the Lost Lands, several altars have been placed that are spawning various Evils. Some of these evils I have been in battle with before, Neira the Necromancer, I have battled with alot, we enjoy each others company. Rikktor I have had the pleasure of destroying, as well as the Barracoon. Upon sending these monsters to their doom, their skull can be taken. There are three others whom i have not battled yet. But after a group has collected all 6 skulls, a greater more devastating Monster can be summoned. This is the journey I shall partake on, also being my last, brother." "Your last??? But why???," Mordred asked quizzically. "The Legion has won its battles, the halls of Olympus are now safe, and an aging wizard like myself is no longer needed as much as one like yourself, a Grandmaster Craftsmen. The wars of trade and resources are the source of the Empire continuing as a force to reckon with. You along with Lord Triston can gather the others in union and build up the riches of the Empire. For the days of greed are among us, the days of warmongers are behind us. Gather as much gold as the houses of Novitus Sanctum can hold. There the strength of the Empire's honor will be needed. Sell quality wares, be fair and just to the people of Sosaria. They will appreciate and respect the Empire for their deeds. "I have cleared all the floors of the Dread Sanctum for your use. Forges have been setup as well as anvils, looms, and spinning wheels. I request that the rooftop be left as is. For it is a home to my spellbooks and teaching of necromancy as well as the Altar of Death. Do not tread on the roof, the powers are great and can only be released or subdued by a Necromancer. Our cousin the Elf Silvana Sya'vryn, has a house just 2 down from you, she will be assisting the Empire in selling wares as well. I have set up a nice place in Yew Fellucca for myself after I hunt the Harrower, there I will remove my armor, lock up my spellbooks, and rest.....for a good long time." "My brother, I will take the name of Mortain, the respect and honor you have brought to it, and continue to serve the Empire in your absence. Be safe, Luk, the Evils are very, very powerful. I shall keep your place tidy and fit for your return." "thank ye, brother, and if Evil ever befalls the lands, if ever the Empire decides to take arms again to vanquish this evil, and protect the lands of Sosaria, I have left a pigeon roost in the Dread Sanctum, tis the only reason I will don my armor and cast these spells again." Aye, brother, I will miss you, and pray thee return safely." The two twins embrace and share a bottle of ale. After a night of nostalgia, the 2 part ways, and a new dawn befalls the family of Mortain.
  20. OK i figured since ive been upgradded from poor white trash to redneck, i had to get a dog..Got a purebred labrador retriever, of course now i sorta regret it because im soo new to dog ownership i hope i dont screw him up, hes 7 weeks old and quite a pain. If anyone has any advice PLEASE holler at me!!! Id like to turn him into a bird dog since i have free access to hunting grounds on ft campbell!!
  21. *parchment sent to Mordred Mortain from his twin brother Lukkan* Dear brother, Im sure you are aware of the new direction the Empire is about to embark on. I need you to stand under Lord Arms, follow his direction, he will guide you to your deeds. Your skills of smithy.tailoring, tinkering and mining are needed in full effect now. He will iron out the details with you so you understand more clearly. I must enter the depths of hiding for a period of 2 weeks. I shall hole up in our Yew house with our cousin Darth Sidious. He will be producing runebooks and scrolls to donate to the Empire. As me being a fighter, I was in the forfront of the family, times have changed, you know are the leader of the family, the main prescence for our family to the Empire. Give them my farewell, strength and honor, brother.
  22. Weve arrived safely in Tenn, thanks for everyones concern and good wishes. We are loking for a house this weekend and for the time being Are in temporary housing. I do have a dialup srvice but im connedting at 28k so i wont be in game as of yet. Probably another 2 weeks or so before i can get my cable up and running (or T1, crosses fingers the wife will let me!!). Looking forward to seeing you all again. BTW, how is Cheblis holding up?? Im worried about him.
  23. Mordred peers through the darkness of the Yew Empath Abbey, covering his head with his cloak, he makes passage through the woods. He must travel late in the night, almost early morn, for the lands known as Fellucca are crawling with evil. He passes from one house to the next, almost at a snails pace, to pass by the moongate unnoticed, hopefully. As he approaches the surroundings of the moongate, he can hear the cries of the innocent, the slayings, blood has splattered the walls of the nearby homes. Mordred continues past the moongate to the shore just above it. There, an old house, shows a candle in the window sill with a blue flame. The one he was told about in the parchment. Here is where his twin brother has been staying, the Dread Centurion, Lukkan Mortain. He knocks on the doorway gently, not to awaken any murderers. The door creeps open on its own, A small horde minion gestures to the rooftop. As Mordred approaches the smell of daemon blood and grave dust irritates his nose. As he steps upon the roof of the small house, he sees a figure in black, long flame red hair, fading slightly to his age. The figure stands. slowly, and turns to reveal a broken arm, a leg in bandages, and a face scarred above the brow and along the cheekbone. "Brother?!! What has happened, why have you sent for me?," replies Mordred. "My brother," speaks Lukkan in a harsh, trashy voice, "I have been in the bowels of hell, and Ive seen much evil. These new lands have brought out the worst in the people of Sosaria. The new evil known as necromancy and the hints of great treasures within Doom have warped the minds and souls of the paladins as well as the sorcerers. I have spent the last months trying to stop the evil where it breeds, Yew, Fellucca. Long gone are the days, where evil was as visible as the morning dew. Now it takes other shapes, masquerades as good the turns on you. No one is safe, no one can be trusted." "Here are your provisions you asked for," says Mordred handing him food, regents, and clothing. "Your arms?!! The red bands around them mark you as a murderer?!! What have you done brother?" "Like I said, evil is taking other forms, the days of knowing a murderer are in the past, I have had no choice in this branding, but tis not permanent. That is why I have asked you here. I must wait out my pentance here in Fellucca, I am not welcome in Trammel or the new lands for 80 hours time. I need you to send a message to the Empire, for I only have contact with Marcas and Kodoz, they too are fighting the evil within Yew. I am laying down my spellbooks for a good long time, brother. The evil is strong and i am weakening. My soul resides in the strength of the Empire, and as we know the Empire is at a weakpoint. I fear for my life in the forests of Yew, my name has been recognized now. I am not safe nor am i skilled enough to ward off this evil. Upon reentering the society, after my murderer status has been relinquished, I am to return to Malas. There I will head up a resource force. Now is the time for rebuilding the greatness of the Empire. The treasures of Doom and the new lands have brought about a change I am not comfortable with. We have all forgotten the force the Empire had been and can be again, if we can commit to rebuilding the Empire. I will leave the lands of Fellucca until the Empire is strong again. We need supplies and resources for the betterment of the members, for skill gaining and use for wares. Then we need to gather monetary funds and strengthen our ranks." Mordred lowers his head. " I visited Olympus the other morrow, before I left to journey to you, it was sad. Hollow and empty, the books and chairs collecting dust. Steel Darknight left some writings stating the same fact." "Ahh Steel, old friend, I do miss him," replies Lukkan. "And what of Senator Lora, and Senator Earwen? The Knight Cheblis, not to mention the whole ranks of the Legion??" "All those members are still around, sans the ranks of the legion. They are dwindling fast. The Empire has banished all immediate evil within Trammel and Umbra. Noone feels the need to become warriors anymore. The crafts are drawing them in." "Well then, the Legion has served its purpose, it has brought peace and tranquility to the lands." A smile begins to arise on Lukkans face and a heartly laugh erupts. What the legion and the Empire have fought so hard to accomplish has seen the light of day. It has been so long in the making that the old warriors dont know exactly what to do with themselves. "Run, brother," exclaims Lukkan smiling heartedly," Tell the members to pack up the weapons and bring out their working attire, tis time to rebuild the Empire, restock our wares, and most of all...........congratulate each other on a fine venture. I shall return when I can and we shall begin the resource force. Smiling deeply, Lukkan's heart fills both with sadness and a great happiness. A long road ahead but yet a heavy burden lifted. The lands of Trammel seem safe, and that fills his heart. The ones who have guided him and given him direction shall now see the benefits of their work. "Oh and one last thing, brother," states Lukkan," send a small pigeon to Steel, tell him this: The Empire has neither fallen nor faded away, for the deepest slumber reveals the truest revitalization." With a firm hug and a swift farewell, Lukkan escorts Mordred to a safe portal to return to Trammel. Lukkan, body weighing down on his wooden cruthes, turns from the portal and walks towards home, grinning more and more with every step he takes.
