  1. After reading this and finding out about this change, I belive my time in UO is also over. I've stuck with them this long but I am not paying $13 for this game, nor will I pay a lump sum of $60 just to maintain my normal rate.
  2. I've personally seen the EV llama twice in my almost 4 years of UO
  3. I think Logan's idea would be best, the less griefers we can attract, the better.
  4. We tried this once before and it was great fun. We used Marble Island as a battlfield. Lucky for me I happened to live there at the time (I didn't pick the spot ) Using houses was an interesting strategy, because you could use the 99% hiding feature (seems to no longer work with AOS)
  5. Anyone who has ever used Legos will appreciate this http://www.thereverend.com/brick_testament/
  6. http://users.rcn.com/pcombs/$$ta...lecontents.html A very intersting and entertaining tale of man versus bank.
  7. Hiding is also good if you have to go AFK a lot ... great for our members with little ones.
  8. Ack, that is very unfortunate to hear. Our family owns a house in Vermont which got broken into once before, so I can understand. One of our neighbors there was storing an old Blazer in our garage too, which was taken, along with several of our personal items. Fortunately for us, since it is considered a "vacation" home wasn't too much there. I hope everything works out for you!
  9. Genius is 1% inpiration, 99% persperation. Pretty sure Einstien said that.
  10. Invisibility wears off after a bit. Hiding is permanant until revealed. You don't need mana to hide. Poisoning is a great skill, but expensive as all hell to raise.
  11. You people who continue to complain about every decision that the Emperor makes, no matter who he is, just don't get it ... great work. You've destroyed the oldest guild on the server thanks to your selfishness. I have stood by long enough and watched people bring this mighty empire to its knees with their crap. I know Logan will probably not wish to return, so I will say this: This BS stops now and final. Whoever takes his place as Emperor (or if he returns) will NOT be countermanded, complained to, or as Logan so nicely put it, bushwacked in any way, shape, or form, or I will see you kicked from the guild. Every week someone else finds something new to complain about. If you can't follow the orders from a guildmaster, then you don't need to be in a GUILD! End of story.
  12. Aye, the dragon scale seems to be the only improvement that I saw in the AOS 3d client. It used to look like alot worse.
  13. *casts Animate Dead on this thread* Also known widely as the Fire Bird, the phoenix is a profound symbol of the circle of life. It has a life cycle of 500 to 600 ears and after that amount of time, it sets itself on fire and dies in the flames. Then after three days, it rises again from the ashes. It is a completely benign creature who lives in dew. It is said that the phoenix has a beautiful melidous song which grows ever more mournful as its life comes to an end. It is a symbol of the sun and immortality. The phoenix is a very worthwhile beast. What mythical beast best represents you?Take the quiz!
  14. When you install them, they usually install to directories called "Ultima Online 2d" and "Ultima Online 3d" ... so if you have the space to spare, you can have them both installed.
  15. Well, there isn't really any restriction for day to day wear except the stuff Logan stated above. Personally, even though I'm a part Necromancer, I'll stick to my leather armor *grin* And after re-rereading Lukkan's post, looks like we aren't even talking about ceremonial uniform here. Lukkan, wear whatever you want (along with your apron)
  16. Basically, you just find a host for your picture that allows remote linking (I still haven't found a free one) and then place an image tag linking to it in your sig. What I did was, under your profile on the roster, there is an option to upload a picture. So I uploaded my sig as said picture, and linked off of that.
  17. I don't think there is a real need to require meditation and mage armor in a ceremonial uniform. As a mage, I griped about the Senators choice of plate armor, but then again, I never wore it to anything other than meetings and ceremonies. Also, you can get bone armor with Mage Armor attribute as loot from monsters, just like mage plate, mage chain, etc.
  18. 2D all the way. My main reason is performance. My other reason ... well ... I think this explains it better than anything.
  19. Easiest way to raise lockpicking (if you have the lockdowns to spare) is to get 200 (yes 200) small chests made by a GM tinker, and go from start to finish on them, lock them up, repeat. Every time you gain off of one of the chests, all the chests you picked before it "reset" and you can gain off of them again. With 200, its almost impossible to unlock them all before you stop gaining at least .1. I belive this will take you to approximately ~92 lockpicking.
  20. Gah! Oral surgery is never fun. Hope everything goes well for ya, bro.
  21. Ack, car accidents are never fun. Good to hear you are doing well, friend. Best wishes to you for a speedy recovery.
  22. I found this rather funny http://140.247.216.175/images/haxnew.mpg
  23. Very excellent analogy Lukkan. Couldn't have put it better myself. There is a reason we have Senators and others to help make decisions. Borg has done more behind the scense of the guild then any have done (well, maybe Balandar and Wolf are close seconds with their work on the web page ) As Chibi said, think about what is best for the guild as a whole, and above all, remain LOYAL to the GUILD, no matter who has the "Emperor" title above their heads.
  24. A friend of mine told me they are dropped by Wraiths (the floaty transparent kind) ... plenty of them around Deceit or City of Dead in the Lost Lands.
