  1. I log in, but get bored right away since I don't raid anymore. The scare beast one is funny =)

Well I can't find a raid and pugging lfr stinks. Usually it's only me and maybe one other person on most nights. The guild is dead.

Figuring SWTOR killed WoW for some of us. Time to consider just killing the accounts.

I've got assorted herbs, ore, potions, leather, and other mats on the various alts. If anybody wants them, better say something before I vendor them.or just trash them.

  2. Hate to say I told ya so, but....

Yeah, people abandoning the 10 man and Origin's original screw up on my account have me thinking no SWTOR for me. I always figured if you gave a commitment to something, you stuck with it, such as getting Deathwing down.

  3. If you open up the origin client it will have the product code for the game when displaying the game info.

That only shows the early release/beta key. After a good bit of poking around, I did find a phone number, which had me go that route, but since it wasn't an official release key, they couldn't do any more. That got me sent to call Origin.

Origin did give me a key over the phone, so that's done. Apparently, it's not an uncommon problem. When I called and said I'd not received a key for a game I'd purchased, the rep's almost experated reply was "SWTOR, right?" It seems that a lot of people never got the keys for digital download preorders.

I dunno. It's left me frowning a good bit. I wasn't getting seriously into it during early release, but was giving it a go. Now that I'm far far behind anyone else, I'm not sure I'll stick with the game.

I do know that my first digital game purchase will also be my last. I'll stick with actual physical box n discs from now on.

  4. I guess I just wasted a bunch of money.

I did the digital preorder, was invited to a weekend beta, and was able to log in during early release. That much worked properly. However, I never received the email containing my product registration code. The first thing I did was check my spam folder to make sure it didn't get routed there. I also searched the email client's trash just to make sure I hadn't accidentally deleted it. There was nothing in either location.

The next step was to contact support and ask them to resend it. That was last Wednesday. I got an email back Thursday morning asking me to send them a scan of my receipt and and a picture of my physical copy of the game. Well, since I did the digital download, I sent along the purchase information I had from that. I did get an autoreply thanking me for opening a ticket after that, but then nothing.

Granted, it was a holiday weekend, but I'd have expected some sort of response by now. I'm not exactly confident that I'm gonna hear anything from them at this point.

So, since I'm not gonna shell out even more money just to get a product code that I already paid for, I guess I'm not gonna be playing. I'll stick with WoW.

  5. I'd nearly forgotten about the significance of today. Remember back when there was the big to-do about the world ending May 21st? and it kinda sorta didn't actually...y'know...end?

Then the guy behind it said it'll be October 21 instead.

Darnit, and I was gonna preorder SWTOR tonight.

  6. According to WoW Insider's liveblogging of Blizzcon:

    -New talent system

    -Pandaren race

    -Pannaria region

    -Monk class

    -90 level clap

    -Dungeon challenge mode

    -PvE Scenarios

    -Pet Battle System

What those last 3 are, I've no clue.

Oh, and a fancy wingypony mount and some special access to Diablo 3 when it comes out and (guaranteed?) access to future beta testing IF you sign up for an 12 month WoW pass.

    Pandas...jeez...

  7. Darn. I hadn't heard about the armor types having to match. I knew I couldn't go rockin the twill set, but had hoped to be able to use some leather armor appearances on my mail. Specifically, I'd thought about this piece with which to transmogrify my PvP chest. Oh well.

I'm torn between the Giantstalker and Dragonstalker sets, though I think shaman T5 would look good too.

  8. I've seen a number of nice Tauren pictures done by this artist, so I contacted him to see about having one done of Boven.

On the left is him as a young bull. On the right, is a more current view of the semi-retired warrior who tells stories and tales to anyone who'll listen.

I'm very happy with how the picture came out. Unfortunately, I neglected to mention Bov's nose ring in my description to the artist. That's a minor thing, though.
