Sadly I doubt I'll be able to make it tonite. If however you should happen to see the Legacy for sale and wanted to bid 2.5 million on my behalf, why I would be most grateful !
If I get home by 8 I will certainly stop by.
Thanks!

I think there are two important factors to the UO experience:
1] As Borg says, you can experience everything. Yep we can take you out to see an Ancient Lich Lord the first day you're born. And then you'll die. But at least you get to *see* the damn thing and be shocked and awed.
2] Travel is a breeze. The functionality of recall and gate magic again allows you to *experience* all the environments the designers spent so much time on.
I for one enjoy skill based games as opposed to level-treadmills like everquest. So I enjoy that aspect of UO and I enjoyed that aspect of SWG.
The other feature of UO which drew me back was the ability to SEE everything. No tedious running for hours (though I do sometimes to find new things). If I feel like hunting, I recall to a hunting spot and HUNT. I don't spend an hour getting buffs from some doctor, then 15 minutes waiting for a ship, then 20 minutes driving a speederbike across a barren and computer generated countryside.
Its a relaxed game, there's plenty of things to do and plenty of creatures to see and places to go. And as I said above, the best part is you can actually do it all without grinding out skills beforehand! You won't necessarily conquer everything, but at least you can check it out!

I am still amazed you can be the leader of the free world when you're 70+ years old! I was only ages 1-7 when he was president so I don't really have any official opinion on his leadership, but I have good memories of that time period
Maybe I'll shoot to be the first 80 year old president in office

I would like to do the Ilshenar thing but I have a regularly scheduled poker game with some work-folk on Friday. At least its a good way to collect some $$
I'm also working Sunday nite but I'm going to try to stop by the meeting for 30 minutes or so before I need to leave for work.
See you Sunday nite (or Saturday during the day I'll be playin' too)

Also, should anyone see one selling for 2.5 Million please pick it up for me (if you have the capital) and I will re-imburse immediatly. Check here first before as I will post here right after I buy one if I find it on my own.
Thanks!

Thanks, I've been lurking around WBB - I'll seek him out specifically.

The only bad thing about the black and purple is it is abundantly obvious to anyone within a 5 cubicle range at work that I am clearly *not* working!
Otherwise looks sharp!

Liz i have slightly bigger house that you can have that is semi near rest of guild
your welcome to it as i do not need it and just was holding it for any that needed it
I thank you for the offer, but in fact I'm quite happy with my current location.. next to an interesting pure white willow tree and 2 demon skulls - I've always been a big fan of interesting housing locations.
Thanks again though -

Looking to buy Legacy of the Dread Lord - 2.5 Million. ICQ 16128976 if you have one to sell!

Having a blast over this past weeking playing UO again. Decided to drop anatomy and inscription to pick up swords and tactics. I've got my eye on that Legacy of the Dread Lord artifact for Liz.
Spent most of my time so far gathering a bit of money from Wind, placing a 7x8 in Malas and customizing, and tryin to acquire some familiarity with this 'swordsmanship' game.
Are there still weekly guild meetings? What time and when? I should be in hunting shape in a week or so!

All is well. Just thought I'd make a post and mention I'm thinking about coming back to UO for a while.
I'm figurin' I'll install over Memorial Day weekend and take a run around the game!
Nice to see some old names still posting on the board, I'm actually getting excited to give the game another try.

I've had a great run at UO over the past 5 years. It has been far and away the game I've spent the most time playing, but all good things must come to an end.
As such I have an 18x18 in PGoH city Malas to donate to a guildmember in need. Post here if you're interested.
This guild has been a real class act, it was great to play with all of you!
