  1. GUILD REWARD = The Guild Quest Giver

    As another guild reward for achieving perhaps the completion of a very high level of total quests done by all guild members or dailies....leave that up to the GODZ (Devs)....I offer the suggestion of a NPC Quest Giver.

    One NPC would be in each of the major cities for all the races that would react to the player like the current guild rewards vendor.

    The Guild Master could create the Quest type and designate the reward (guild rep or various other listed reps) based on the Quest type etc...any gold award would come directly out of the guild bank reserves. Any Collection Quests the items collected and turned in could go into the guild bank as well as long as there was room.

    Having one in each of the cities would then become another level of achievements that could open up a second, third, etc NPC Guild Quest Giver option for the guild to utilize.

    The ability to even create epic Quests of gathering, reputation achievement, slaying, etc tied to any number of chores could even be the criteria for completion of the chore....endless options for player created events.

    Breathing even more life and community activities into the realm.

    TABBARD CHECKLIST

    As we have the Companions and Mounts....a means to list what yet has been achieved in terms of Tabbard award/purchasing/finding.

    For years I had been speaking about a "Foot Locker" that worked like the old Key ring...way to store your tabbards awarded or purchased.....while I still think that is a cool idea...It may be easier for the devs to just have a listing that we could then use as a checklist in terms of "done that/seen that/worn that/got that"

  2. Suggestion.....

    Start with a mid stance...............The Vigilance.....which could go either way just as it is

    as time progresses (alts expand etc) and players seem to move one way or other you could then develope with (Could be sects within the guild or branch out into alliance guilds to main starting guild)

    The Vigilance Eclipse (Dark siders)....thier influence and might is so powerful it is able to blot out the sun of systems they control

    The Vigilance Keepers (Light sider)...thier influence and might is so strong it maintains the lines not to cross.

  3. There is a Raiding team (Firelands and Randoms)....There are some involved in the Arenas and the Honor system....and then the die hards that are grinding up thier alternates to higher levels to fullfill xyz plans in the new Cataclysm questing system.

    Recently Ive started back up the newspaper and we have been looking to do some ingame activities...but the general end of summer blues is in swing with the current content getting older and end of summer bumming that always cycles thru.

    Good to hear from ya and perhaps we will see you in game or at least in some battlegrounds ....be safe but HAVE FUN!!!

  4. Well, I'd be interested, assuming I finish upgrading gear.

    It is the twist I had planned....by having the Bosses be the team leads and then the other 4 of the team be made up of Grunts, Wardens or ALTS of (Chief, Ancients, Scribe, Elder and Longtooths)...the teams would be not as potent but at the same time give some good gaming reason to get those alternates out for a good workout.

    Key also is to get more of the clan teaming up for some activities....going forward all the expansions look to be geared toward grouping and teamwork....good practice now indeed we can use the Wargames option.

  5. As Cheiftan Morgh stated in the July meeting at the resort in game....

    Boss WAR GAMES tournament is coming. I will outline the event below.

    1 Boss recruits 4 other members (souls) of the Clan Skullcrusher Garrison.

    They must be Wardens or Alternates of other Bosses, Elders, Longtooths, Ancients, Chieftan)

    They can be up to 2 Wobbly Goblins (considered our kin goblin guild)

    A member (soul) can only be on 1 Boss Team.

    There are NO SUBSTITUTIONS.

    Members must be full time Clan Skullcrusher or Wobbly Goblin players of Argent Dawn server.

    The prize for the tournament champion team is a year of WoW gametime for each of the 5 players....so honestly if I am going to put that reward out...I want it to be to someone who is in the game with us.

    FIELD OF TEAMS will be 8 Minimum Teams (we currently have 14 Bosses).....so we need 8 of the Bosses to step up and recruit teams.

    All Teams will face each other 1 time (Round Robin)

    Top 4 teams at end of all matches will go into playoffs.

    SEASON MATCHES

    A match between Teams will be best of 3 WARGAMES.....Warsong Gulch 10pts, Twin Towers 20 pts, Gileneas 30pts.

    If teams end up tied 30-30.....players from both teams form giant circle outside one of the pens outside Ogrimmar....Bosses DUEL inside the pig pen for victory.

    It is expected that great HONOR will take place during the season matchups between Bosses and all matches will occur regardless of rankings or records to date of match.

    It will be a coordinated effort between the Bosses to get matches played and upon the end....the Playoffs will begin.

    Goal is to have the season in September/October/November with PLAYOFFS in December and CHAMPIONSHIP in JANUARY 2012.

    PLAYOFFS

    1st Team plays 4th Team in a BEST OF 5 Matches (same format as a season match) 5 different dates if necessary

    2nd Team plays 3rd Team in a BEST OF 5 Matches (same format as a season match) 5 different dates if necessary

    CHAMPIONSHIP

    Remaining 2 teams will battle out in BEST of 5 EYE of STORM WARGAMES

    each of the teams will have 3 PHOTOGRAPHERS assigned to the Event...designated in the raid by ORANGE NIPPLE and ON A DESIGNATED REINDEER MOUNTS WEARING SANTA SUITS and STATIONED at a SPECIFIC LOCATION to be able to take screenshots during the battles

    Photographers cannot heal/attack/buff etc for the event.

    There will be gifts for Photographers supporting the operations of this championship and a signups will occur at the end of the regular season.

    The font used is called MORPHEUS so if you chose the Powerpoint file and VIEW SLIDESHOW you will need to install MORPHEUS font into your control panel prior...else I think you will see a newspaper in quite a mess typset wise.

  7. Incredible! I loved when you did these stories 10+ years ago in UO. You have outdone yourself this time!

    We need to somehow take pics of the pdf document and update them on the news page so it shows up on the main page instead of an attachment. This must have taken a ton of time to do! GREAT JOB CHIEF!

    I am on vacation at end of this month...going to look to get that mechanism set up for me thru Balandar as well as some more tweeks to the old website ...ehhehe

    I have restarted an old project of a clan newspaper (monthly edition) and attached is the July 2011 edition.   9. Deathwing continues to circle the lands and upon finding large ground forces; he lays waste to all within his gaze. Still...Horde and Alliance forge ahead into the new cracks n crevices abound across the land. Some areas are aplenty of new plunder and wonder while other areas are reborn or lay in ruin from the days gone by. As the garrison of Clan Skullcrusher has moved out and fanned itself across and below its new land surfaces...even the depths of the water are not out of the reach of Skullcrushers. Flea ridden foes are found in packs amongst the Alliance and have given cause for the Clan armorsmiths to reforge many a breastplate from tears and scrapes. As with nearly all of the Horde races another massive refugee influx has brought a new strength to the Horde and Clan Skullcrusher with new members of the goblin blood standing up as Peons and charging into battle against the Alliance at every opportunity. This more than not has brought a great energy and comical spirit to the campfires but as well a keener eye than before for opportunities in gold where the past gold was great plunder not profit.

    *smoke billows and carries scents of a mixure of favorites and unknowns across the afternoon campsite outside Tol Barad battleground*

    Scryll and Uglutz follow its trail back to the source to find Elder Kalea hard at work in her tent.

    "Ug der...wut duin Elder Kalea"; asks Anceint Uglutz

    Scryll sticks his fingers within the cauldron Kalea is stirring on the fire and is quickly met with another wooden spoon across his hand as quick as a seasoned rogue.

    "Geeet out of there....mind yourself in my kitchen and since your here you can help bring me some of those cocoa chips from the corner"; motherly orders Kalea to Scryll with a squinted eye at Uglutz trying to sneek a taste.

    "Bah...I told you we would be better waiting Uglutz"; grumbles Scryll.

    "Battling for hours for Tol Barad and your stomach outweighs your sleep...bah."; Scryll wiffs as he tries to smack Uglutz's back of head.

    As Uglutz bends over to pick up large chunks of cocoa wood he asks; "Chips? These are not Chips...these are cocoa wood still Kalea?!"

    "Indeed Ancient one...so you two better start cutting em up and make em into chips"; Elder Kalea answers with a hidden chuckle

    "And....do not forget your aprons and hats....I dont want any of your dirt and whatever might be living on your head to fall in my mixes."; Kalea states as she points to the flowery apron and pink and yellow chefs hats in the corner.

    A few moments pass with no serious injuries just some back n forth stoogy slaps and activity as the two new chefs attend to Kalea's honey doo list that keeps growing and Elder Kailand appears with Markenhoof within the tent doorway.

    "If you come in brothers...know this that you two will be put to work with the others trying to not kill each other in the back."; Kalea remarks without looking up but knowing the gate and presence of two hearty souls.

    Kailand and Markenhoof stop dead in thier tracks as they see Scryll and Uglutz in the back corner covered in various powdered confections and sauces in their pretty aprons and hats....at the moment scryll is on top of Uglutz shoulders trying to reach some bag of nutz that were smoke drying from high up in the tent. Uglutz is grumbling as Scryll somehow manages to get a toe in one ear and one up his nose at the same time.

    "Markenhoof....does that look familiar to you?"; Elder Kailand asks with humor.

    "I am not saying it does or if it does not...but my mace is feeling like it has work to do again"; Markenhoof replies with a belly laugh.

    The two chefs look at the doorway then each other and then both spit toward the laughing brethren in the doorway.

    "Funny...real funny"; Uglutz responds

    "Yeah...now stand up higher Uglutz..I almost gotz dem"; adds Scryll.

    As Kalea moves her mixture to molds and drops clumps onto some metal sheets she asks the two; who are smartly keeping thier feet outside the tent.

    "What say you of the current Peon class...I hear there are a few who have been mentioned for promotion"

    "Well...there seem to be some that are quite active and proven themselves in training, battle and even in the arena...while some are missing across the new lands"; answers Elder Kailand.

    "Tol Barad has kept much of the garrison on point but we have begun to swing reserves and as we maintain our grip on Tol Barad we will be sending out scouting parties to assist and round up any captured or lost Peons"; added Markenhoof.

    "Morgh has suggested Varanthas and Lintalus as well as a goblin Gnat is it pronounced?", comments Kalea as she takes a bowl of chocolate mix away from Scryll as he is drinking it.

    *Scryll picks up another bowl full and raspberries Kalea from behind*

    *Uglutz expertly throws dragon cinder hot pepper dust and it lands upon Scrylls tongue sending the rogue to shadowstep to the water bucket*

    "Agreed Varanthas has stepped up to lead some battlegrounds where only the strongest Alliance are based. Lintalus blew thru his training and has won Arena matches in honor of the clan as well as maintains a grip on Wintergrasp for the clan."; remarks Kailand as he accepts a Kookie from Kalea.

    Markenhoof holds out two hands and puts on the sad pittyful big cow eye look as he answers as well; "Gnat grows stronger indeed and her mage skills keep her blinking around like...well an irritating gnat eheheh".

    "I have heard no dissention with these three and with your comments as well as the others I have already counciled before...I will motion for the Chief to promote them"; replies Kalea as she rolls her eyes and head back toward the two chefs in the back ....doing who knows what with some rubber gloves.

    "Hey...Uglutz look...a slingshot"; Scryll shoots a nut at Uglutz who catches it between his teeth and crunches it down.

    "Tastes like squirrel"; Uglutz replies as he starts to take off his apron and hat.

    "Hehehe it is....Squirrel Nutz....heheh"; Scryll shadowsteps to behind Kalea.

    "ALRIGHTY YOU TWO....Uglutz...put that back on and take these outside to the Skullcrushers...you too Scryll...looks like I have alot of cleaning up to do now...but I thank you for helping make these kookies for the Clan."; Kalea firmly responds but ends with her motherly smile.

    The two assistant chefs covered with powders make thier way out of the tent carrying the new Kalea Kookies (Goblin snacks and Marshmallow Mages) to the rest of the Skullcrushers relaxing around the battleground campfire

    "When does the warhorn call us to battle brother?; Elder Scryll mumbles under his breath to Uglutz.

    "Not soon enough I fear"; Ancient Uglutz replies.

  10. Well a month is into the books nearly and the new Tol Barad 85 level battleground (akin to Wintergrasp) has now seemed to roll out as quite the challenge for the attacker.

    While it is true attacking is supposed to be harder than defending....the coordination is definetly needed in sweeping up the 3 locations to win this event and control the quest givers.

    Ironclad Fortress...........Flag in back under fortress spire...............NORTH NODE

    Slagworks.....................Flag on front setps of fortress spire...........SOUTH EAST NODE

    Wardens Vigil................Flag in front of fortress spire.....................SOUTH WEST NODE

    3 Towers that when destroyed by attacking siege machines ADD 5 minutes to the battle

    North West, North East and South

    DEFENDING THOUGHTS.

    Towers need to be kept up as long as possible and focus on 1 node to maintain......Wardens Vigil or Slags.....since Ironclad Fortress will eventually fall to the incoming zerg Alliance at the gate

    Destroy sieges at any opportunity so that the Towers do not fall (5minutes added to gametime) Running out the clock is the defending way to win....Towers are key to victory.

    If they do fall....it will be a Zerg circle jerk of moving opposite the opponents Zerg around the island from Node to node to deny them 3 Node Captures.

    ATTACKING THOUGHTS.

    Let the Zerg (PUGS) attack Ironclad Fortress (north) at beginning of game....eventually it will fall to the attacking force.

    Take at least 5 members and go to Wardens Vigil at the beginning....if a group greater than 10 split forces to Slags also.

    Quickly taking the WV and SLAGS will result in a FAST WIN.....since all the PUGS will flow into ICF at the north first off.

    If on Attack and we have not won within the first 5 minutes....Focus on 1 Tower at a time with as many siege units possible.

    this will add 5 min for each tower that falls....once they all fall....its a grind to win.

    If we are a group of 5 to 10 we need to play catch....heheh...catch the rezzing alliance as they float down from ressurection.

    Delaying thier reinforcement zergs will give the PUGS time to maintain nodes.

    Intersect and stop defending resserected forces from reaching any node....irritate/occupy and delay defenders ability to maintain full zerg defense group.

    As an Attacking force...EARLY WIN is BEST win....Defenders will get into rythm but right out of the gate (literally) is best chance to overwhelm all 3 nodes at once.

    GUILD/CLAN HISTORY CAPTURED INGAME

    Good Morning Adventurers and GODZ (Dev team)....

    Well its been nearly a month of the new expansion and the expansion overall has been alot of fun and challenging to us players and a nice fresh look for us that were here back in the first ever beta 6+ yrs ago. *thumbs up for the GODZ*

    For us adventurers and guild members throughout the realms it is a new wrinkle the guild advancement and achievement system...again I applaud this addition. (given my years of suggestion posts on something for guilds that their coordinated efforts could be rewarded in some fashion)

    As we have enjoyed the new merging of the cinema movies within the game and our own character(s)...it did get me to think of a nice guild achievement idea that would go hand in hand with when the guild makes their first Heroic/Raid achievement.

    Have the system capture the last say 5-10 seconds of the event in a mini movie from some point of perspective that then becomes a record/icon on the guild achievement page that members could view and review in the future...sorta like the trophy case coming alive.

    This would only occur if the WHOLE group/raid was members of the guild itself.

  12. Ooooo if anyone chooses to pick up your GUILD PAGE companion....you will find he also is a travelling vendor for guild rewards available......and you can sell to him too....nice.

    He has an 8hr cooldown...so this sounds like it was intended as a vendor on the go option.

    I wonder if GUILD HERALD will end up being a travelling vendor who repairs?

  13. Routines had been nearly perfected throughout the Skullcrusher Fortress hidden deep within the Ungoro Craters walls.

    Trade rich income had been restored and coffers and strongboxes were no longer empty as supplies stood at the ready for seeminly any crisis.

    Raid after raid continued to succeed in bringing great weapons and rare resources from hidden caches within Northrends darkest and dangerous places.

    Even the young and inexperienced Crushers (twinks) had chosen to assist in the GLORY and PLUNDER that now was commonplace for Clan Skullcrusher across the world.

    Battle groups assembled and utilizing the resouces aplenty began to improve and hone the lines of Clan Skullcrusher in terms of realm defenses...thwarting Alliance incursions into horde capital cities and striking at times of OUR choosing deep within Alliance territory and to the chamber doors of thier leadership. Clan Skullcrusher formations now were becoming legendary and the sight of just a few Crushers was enough on many occassion to turn Alliance will into mutiny as thier lines broke even before battles began.

    Some even thought the shaking of the ground was more the result of Clan Skullcrusher Battlegroups riding thier War Raptors....sometimes it was true and lil orphans of Ogrimmar waved Skullcrusher flags as the columns of Skullcrushers flooded into Ogrimmar to assist city defenses.

    "Yeah...the kids are cute but...when your trying to catch some tail in the evening near the tavern...it just does not help to have lil orphans following you like a living shadow asking you to sign thier pieces of elemental rocks or alliance skulls"; Warmonger Druze, Clan Skullcrusher Realm defense squad.

    Todays shaking ground was not the usual fare....strong enough that the power crystal pillars that had held hidden the Clan Skullcrusher fortress began to crack and the power they held arc'ed and sent waves across the courtyards effectively adding to the ground shock. Uglutz's personal pee n puke bucket waked and spilled across his chambers just intime for its contents to cusion himself as he was thrown out of his bed.

    *still half asleep but stunned a bit, Uglutz smacks his lips now covered with vomit, pee and swill*

    "mmmm *yawns* leftovers" ; Uglutz says as he comes aware of the massive quake

    Crushers all begin to awake and stumble from their garrison and across the grounds...some begin to outfit themselves knowing that the elemental effects never have been this strong...others still getting thier bearings fill various comical actions as they too begin to grasp the full fury of this mornings wake up bell.

    The morning sky begins to shade and change in color and the air itself stirs with a surge of heat in wakes across the brows of the Clan assembling thier lines and outfitting each other in thier battle gear. Peons rush back n forth attempting to keep thier footing as they dodge between Battle Raptors legs and dodge the occassional falling stones from the Craters walls or the fortress itself. From atop the highest rampart Verissi stands looking through a goblin contraption she had recently erected on the one rampart that rose from the Craters rim..... but had not aimed it at the sky but at the far horizon toward the north east and the night elves territory. Morgh and Galam arise from the stairwell and join Verissi...both looking in the general same direction.

    "Good morning brothers" ; Verissi the Scribe welcomes.

    "Morning the clockworks say...feels like more like an end of dayz abit" ; remarks Chieftan Morgh as he witnesses several butterflies that once had made home the ledges of Skullcrusher Fortress burst into flame as the air continues to thicken and heat up.

    "Ahh...fireflies...now that is appropriate"; evily chuckles Longtooth Galam

    Uglutz stumbles to the top step of the Rampart knocking Scryll back into Holyssa and Kalea...they catch him and fling him back up onto the back of Uglutz. Scryll rattles off several face-slaps to both sides of Uglutz's face.

    "WAKE UP YOU BUMBLING FOOL!!!" ; Scryll bellows into Uglutz's deaf side ear.

    Uglutz flings Scryll from the top of the rampart to and he is caught by Muato below in the courtyard awaiting the orders to roll his lines out of the fortress.

    Baracko and Druze in concert agree and state...

    "I wouldn't have caught that if you paid me"; Longtooth Baracko chuckles.

    "Thats saying alot coming from a loot-whore"; Boss Druze adds in.

    The Crusher lines assembled all enjoy the levity of the spirit as Scryll leaps to his War Raptor and spits on the ground.

    "Bah...I still will have all your backs...always do....tis why the spirit healer loves me so much more than you all" ; rebuttles Elder Scryll

    Back upon the rampart....

    "It is the end of dayz and it is the dawn of a new day...our world is being reforged and renewed." ; Scribe Verissi comments calmly while still keeping an eye into her oddly assembled contraption.

    *Verissi looks up and over the contraption toward the horizon and pauses for a moment....takes a deep breath*

    "Ahh...smells good does it not? I love the smell of fresh ash in the morning" ; Verissi says with a wink as she turns to the Crushers on the rampart.

    "Today is a new day indeed...better a day of unknown and new challenges than another day of routine chores" ; Verissi says with abit of joy as she tightens up her battlegear.

    Galam turns to Du and instructs him to overfill all the defensive pillars and set all systems to automatic overcharge.

    Morgh leans over the Rampart edge and bellows down to the assembled full garrison of Clan Skullcrushers below all itching to get into action.

    FOR HONOR AND GLORY!!!! Morgh shouts as he thrusts his battlestaff into the air and it cracks with energy.

    BLOOD AND THUNDAH!!! the garrison all reply in thunderous chorus.

    The Skullcrushers all leap from the rampart down upon the grounds or upon thier awaiting War Raptors and join the massive wave of Skullcrushers now flowing out of the fortress protection into the crater and out across the new landscape....as they rumble out of the crater the ground itself around them is in upheaval and changing.

    Galam stands alone atop the fortress and makes his way down to the depths of the Blood Godz temple....he overcharges the temple and he and Du turn a giant disc buit directly into the floor of the temple. A massive ball of bloody red energy begins to appear and grow within the temple itself. Galam hands Du a hearthstone and they both channel thier energy and dissappear. Even without a lower jaw one could see a smile or smirt appear on Galam's face.

    "It is Time..." ; Galams image says as it dissapears.
