  1. I think everyone needs to be fully enchanted as well as gemmed. PERIOD. This isn't Wrath anymore folks.... if you have heroic level blue, spend the money and at least gem it with green quality gems. Send greens to zuworty for disenchanting. Buy the helm and shoulder enchants. Get your ###### together...we need every little bit of dps/healing/defense etc...

    :D

I'm also looking at specs/glyphs/gems/enchants/reforging, and have started a review of the DPS, I've taken care of myself and Skywatcher - pretty much gemming/reforging/enchanting of stats is AGI>hit (until cap)>(2AP for BM)>crit>mastery>haste. Draegloth looks good - buy the book according to Elitist Jerks. Orcala on the spec side and glyph side should change up stuff (look at the feral DPS on elitistjerks.com), and for stats it looks like AGI >> Mastery > crit > hit = exp > haste. Sardaukkar on the spec and glyph side looks ok, some points should be moved around for when 2.0.6 hits, since slam will be viable again, instead of heroic strike spam, best guide I found was MMO-champion, which summerizes up the thread found on elitist jerks. Stats are Str > hit (until cap) > expertise (until cap) > crit==mastery > haste. I haven't looked up Shadow Priests yet. As for making sure gemming/enchanting is done.... I'll be inspecting everyone on monday to make sure it is done. also next week I will be calling out people who aren't using flasks/food.

As for the order we are doing Raids: Baradin hold, Blackwing Depths. I haven't decided which one we will do after that but be prepared for all the fights in BWD.

Pay attention to (with the exception of the symbols):

    got this from MMO champion.

  2. So the plan is to do 2-3 heroics tonight to get a bit more gear for those that need it.

One thing that I'd highly recommend for everyone after seeing Magmaw and reading a few fights: Run Speed enchants - sure they aren't as high DPS, etc as a few other enchants, but the extra movement speed helps stay out of bad stuff.

    Assassin's Step: Agi +25/Run Speed

    Earthens Vitality: Stam +30/Run Speed

    Lavawalker: Mastery +35/Run Speed

  3. Ok guys, next tuesday I've planned a trial run raid of Baradin Hold. I know that some of us aren't fully geared out of heroics yet, but I'm more interested in benchmarking us for now. I'd like to see peoples gear enchanted and gemmed (although not necessarily with the best enchants and gems out there - green quality gems will be good enough for your current blues, try to put best enchants/gems in the epics) . Everyone make sure you have a stack or two of buff food - don't buy the food off of the AH, as the more food made within the guild will unlock a minor food buff feast. and by fishing in pools we can unlock a greater feast (http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=5036). Also send your herbs to uglutz to make flasks, don't buy the flasks off of the AH, as the more flasks made within the guild will unlock a cauldron, which is more efficient than having everyone bring flasks. I'd like everyone to look up the type of flask that they would use, and herb/buy the herbs required in as large of quantities as you can and send them to uglutz. If he isn't ######ing and cursing that he has too many herbs, than we aren't doing our jobs!

    So to recap:

-Trial run of baradin hold on tuesday

    - enchant/gem your gear

-bring buff food made by yourself or someone within the guild

    -fish those pools

-make uglutz want to quit being an alchemist by overloading him with herbs

    -have fun

    Kailand

P.S. Here is a list of people in the raid and thier professions

    Kailand - Skinner / Leatherworker

    Holyssa - Miner / Jewelcrafter

    Ascoli - Miner / Blacksmith

    Uglutz - Herbalist / Alchemist

    Kadiana - Miner / Blacksmith

    Zuworty - Tailor / Enchanter

    Draegloth - Tailor / Jewelcrafter

    Skywatcher - Skinner / Herbalist

    Orcala - Enchanter / Leatherworker

    Sardaukkar - Blacksmith / Jewelcrafter

  4. If you need a shadow priest, I'd be really happy to join the raid. Thursdays and especially tuesdays are good raiding nights for me.

    - Shelah

Thanks for the offer, but I've already chose my raiding crew (see the sticky) but if you haven't found a raid and I need a replacement I will consider you.

  5. Hi, I finally made a decision on who to bring, and it was a tough decision, 13 people showed interest - all good people, and I could only choose 10. So the roster is as follows:

Holyssa - Main tank (Protection Paladin)

    Ascoli - Off-tank/DPS (Protection/Retribution Paladin)

    Uglutz - Healer (Restoration Shaman)

    Kadiana - Healer (Holy Paladin)

Zuworty - 3rd Healer/Ranged DPS (for healing spec needs to decide with Uglutz/Kadiana on which would be best) Priest

Orcala - Melee DPS (AFK (A Feral Kitty) Druid)

Sardaukkar - Melee DPS (Arms Warrior)

Kailand - Ranged DPS (Survival Hunter)

Skywatcher - Ranged DPS (Beastmaster Hunter)

Draegloth - Ranged DPS (Destructruction Warlock)

I would like to thank every one for showing interest. With this group we have all buffs/debuffs covered, and I hope good cohesion. We can start when everyone is ready... probably at the earliest the second half of January, and the latest the start of February. The times are tuesdays and thursdays 8:00 pm to 11:00 PM, with some flexibility if needed. Elrikk, let me know the class spec you decide by the new year so Skywatcher and I can decide which pets to level to round out the buffs/debuffs.

  6. Is anyone interested in working out a partial or full BWL run? I'm kind of wanting to try to tame Chromaggus. That'll be a challenge in itself, but obviously there's no way I can get to 'im myself. I dunno if anyone still needs to kill Nef, but hey, if we could do that for some folks, that'd be great.

I'm tempted to go tame him myself! might make that a part of a retro raid night or two in cata... probably start one up in the summer to get the guild legendary achievements, as well as other sexiness.

  7. Hi,

With cataclysm around the bend, I'd thought I'd put out feelers for gathering people for a semi-serious 10 man raid. it wouldn't start until mid february or so to give people a chance to enjoy the holidays and leveling. I'm aiming for the meta achievement for each tier of raiding. I'd like to have 2 tanks, with one being willing to swap between tank and DPS as appropriate, 3 healers with at least one being willing to go DPS when needed, and 4 other DPS (I'm one of the DPS - hunter of course). I'd like a good balance of raid buffs/debuffs, as well as armor class too. I'm thinking tuesday and thursday nights, probably 8-11pm

  8. On that note,

I'd like to give a shout out to Ascoli, Kailand, and Smedlock for the help you three gave with earning this Feat of Strength.

Also, I have a bunch of cards left over.

    Ascoli? Any Interest?

Kailand? I know you were thinking about it.

If any of you three want the left over cards let me know.

    Gordantell

Well, my plan is to slowly grind away at it, so any left over cards would be welcome.

  9. In the process of building a new desktop (laptop is moving to media duties) and that means Tain needs to be home to build it. So don't boot me in the meantime please :-)

    .... must .... resist.... *twitches*

  10. This news came by the way of my wife, this is a friend of hers.

No Health Risk, Says Siouxland District Health

There's a new item on the menu at the Singing Hills McDonald's, where "food safety and quality is of the utmost importance." It doesn't cost extra, and you don't even have to ask for it. KTIV-TV reports that

as of August 26, live maggots come free of charge with randomly selected burgers.

Just ask the unsuspecting woman who bit into a burger which included that free layer of squirming fruit fly maggots that day. Surely her smile, suddenly sporting a hundred wriggly helpers, made a lasting impression on everyone she met that day.

Is this a case of free extra protein with a twist or ick-factor extraordinaire?

Michelle Rosendahl of taxpayer-funded Siouxland District Health was quick to put consumers' minds at ease. According to her, maggots are no strangers to Siouxland.

"They're very common to be around," she told KTIV reporters. "It's almost surprising that maybe it doesn't happen more often."

Does this mean consumers can expect an exciting new trend in Siouxland's restaurant scene? Just imagine, thanks to yet another trend set by Ray Krog's fast food empire, live maggots may forever change the dining experience in establishments all over Siouxland.

How does that compare to eating at home or packing your lunch?

Concerned about the general hygiene practiced at your favorite dining establishment? There's no reason to worry. Live maggots are baby flies. They're not bugs, like salmonella or e-coli. They're not even ethnic. And Rosendahl, whose salary is paid by Siouxland taxpayers, told KTIV that maggots pose no risk to a person's health.

And all this time I thought those where onions!!

Finally, a McD's burger that is moist, and not due to grease!

  11. Tokane has to attend a funeral on wednesday, and with evila out, and next week looking iffy, I'm just going to end the raid now instead of struggling for the next couple raids. Its been a good run everyone, and thank you all for the fun. Thanks to those who helped out when regulars couldn't show up.

    Kailand, your fearful leader.

  12. My mottled war party have tamed Icecrown citadel, and have been rewarded with our Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquishers! Congratulations to my team: Holyssa, Ascoli, kadiana, Kalea, Tokane, Jestin, Evila, Skywatcher, and Christra! Just in time too, since kalea has to leave the raid to deal with some real life issues *hugs*.

    WoWScrnShot_090810_220019.jpg

We plan to take on the Trial of the Grandcrusader (ToGC10), Earth, wind, fire, as well as potentially farm icecrown citadel for a bit, and we could use some healing to replace the irreplacable kalea. We are only running on wednesdays from 8:00-11:00 now until the end of the month, for those interested please contact me.

  13. Hi,

I'm short a DPS for wednesday for my 10 man group. Depending if we get anyone and we have WG, we may try earth/wind/fire, and maybe heroic ToC or normal halion. If we get a well geared DPSr and people are interested in doing it, we may take a few stabs at heroic lich king. Let me know if you are interested, on this thread or in game.

    Kailand

  14. Well that was surprisingly easy (with only one or two oh crap moments). Thanks to everyone that joined in for the fun.

Wondering if anyone would like to go again so Kadiana and Skywatcher get a shot at it? (200g for 2 hours)

    I'll give it another go
