This is a story about Uncle Reavus, and how he turned to the darkside: http://www.lothlorien.net/collections/humor/monkeys.html

is anyone noticing that the guy is way to good on the rhythm game, while the girl is horrible?

For Karagga's Palace, here is a good video on G4B3.
It looks like they have all but 2 dps and 1 healer on the ground level taking care of the boss, and the 2 dps are taking care of the puzzles, while the 2nd healer heals them + the tank and raid when he can. Looks like by doing the boss fight this way they have a higher dps time on the boss.

1.1.5 is here... Master looter now (supposedly) works, and buy your +41 stat crystals - available in cyan, yellow, purple (the cheapest), white (OMG, I'm now Isandra/Robnar broke cost), and yellow/black(for people who got the preorder stuff, and is sold on the preorder crystal vendor). The new crystal vendor is in the supplies section. The Pylon encounter bugs are (supposedly) fixed, no more N-S-S-N, just spam them until they are solved. The big beasts of speeders that are going to be removed from the game can now be bought at a reduced price, and speeders are now BoE... yes you can buy them and sell them on the AH/send them to alts/others. And they have added some new options in the graphics settings, so make sure you check your options, mine were all messed up so I had to make sure everything was set correctly.

Happy Birthday!

when Syban told me I was a manwhore / Man-slut on my bounty hunter alt it lead me to realize I'm on this game alot, and as a result, I should probably be a lord just so I can man-whore myself out to the guild as a whole, instead of random strangers. *tosses his crappy pointy hat in the ring*
*days pass, and then the CRACK of Uncle Reavus' whip hits his back, and a loud hateful voice reverberates in his skull - "add the details, ######"*
2) Why do you think you would make a good guild officer?
I like to have things organised, and given the opportunity, I would like to help in the organisation of things. I'm a problem solver and a numbers guy, who tends to do research, especially in topics that interest me.
3) What improvements would you bring to the guild?
I would try to organise various stuff *points to his current thread on proffessions* and try to get us to be more inclusve with our members in terms of content at end game (with appropriate role balance, etc. taken into consideration). When the new guild content in 1.2 comes out, I would like to help keep the stuff in the guild bank organised, and making sure taht gear/patterns/etc. do not sit for years being unused. A guild bank that isn't being used, or that is used to hoard crap that isn't being used is worthless. I want to help people along, whether it be crafting some gear for new 50's, or helping people discover waht to do after they have finished the story line quests. I like Robnar's idea of social group, and would like to help with the admittedly complex task of logistics of putting together something with that premise. We need to find ways to encourage all our members to regularly check the website and forums so that we can get better feedback, and plan events accordingly. I would like to encourage the use of guild chat more, for light RP, and perhaps other discussions.
4) What past experience do you have in administrating a guild? (We are more interested in the "what" and not so much the "where"/"when")
In WoW, I organised a few progression raids, as well as a few fun relaxed retro raids. I also tried to set up a few events, coordinating with other officers. Additionally when other officers left/took time away from the game, I took care of making sure taht the guild bank was more or less kept organised.
*looks around for another whip blow, breaths a sigh of relief... this fear will make me powerful*

Where do you get the creds to afford a white +41 end?!. What is a guild fleet hall going to cost when they come out? 5 billion?
Well.... there are some disreputtable street corners con Nar Shaddaa. I've also read at 50 soloing bording party normal is a decent way to get some cash after dailies.
-
Don't forget the yellow/black preorder +41 stat crystals for 250K.
Plus they will be lowering the price/requirement on the super expensive galactic starships... I mean speeders, which will be removed from the game in 1.2
-
I found a site that describes Karagga's pretty well, and also gives a big hint on how to deal with the horrid trash pulls.

Thankgoodness...in 1.1.5 ilum will die, as the dailies appear to be completable in warzones. NO MORE DOING WHEELCHAIR CIRCLES FOR DAILIES!!!!

We are at the point where rotating people in and out will be necessary. Don't get all emo if you're asked to sit out tonight or thursday!
... tonight is Monday. /emo

I log in, but get bored right away since I don't raid anymore. The scare beast one is funny =)
Well I can't find a raid and pugging lfr stinks. Usually it's only me and maybe one other person on most nights. The guild is dead.
Figuring SWTOR killed WoW for some of us. Time to consider just killing the accounts.
I've got assorted herbs, ore, potions, leather, and other mats on the various alts. If anybody wants them, better say something before I vendor them.or just trash them.
I got roped into the 1 year sub + Diablo deal so i'll be playing into the next expansion, just less than usual =P
Play what's more fun for you though! A ton of people will be back for the new expansion, the game just isn't fun anymore in this Xpak.
Orcala making sense... its the end of the world. But yes, I'm in the same situation. I'm logging on occasionally for events, etc.. And I'll be playing the expac when it comes out. Hopefully we will see you skywatcher on the darkside, and we are still waiting for more 50's so we can start 16 man ops, and have a more steady roster too boot.

Thanks for taking the screenshots! I can't get any good ones in mid-battle...they are always pictures of the bosses crotch!
Lol. Can't you set your zoom out to 100%?
don't you mean zoom in, lol

I found a workaround for the tantoiine balloon disappearing for the strength datacron and matrix shards... see the video here:

System failures
If your system consistently shuts down unexpectedly, please go to this thread and post your information. Some of you have already done this, and your posts have been extremely helpful. We’ve analyzed all the information you’ve provided so far, and this is what we can say…
SWTOR has the capacity to heavily utilize your system. If you are running the game with high graphics settings, this is especially true. System flaws or inadequacies that might not be evident when idling or playing other games could possibly be exposed when you are running SWTOR, especially in moments that put extra pressure on your system (PVP, Operations, etc.) To name a few things you should look out for:
Ensure that your power supply is not failing and that it supplies enough juice to power your system.
For temperature considerations, it’s also worth checking that the power supply fan is working properly. Also ensure that your PC case is properly ventilated and your airflow is unobstructed.
Ensure that your PC is clean and your system is not clogged with dust and dirt.
We recommend taking appropriate precautions (monitoring and cooling) if you are overclocking your hardware. Our advice is to dial things back to the manufacturer’s recommended settings until your system failures are resolved.
Are two fried onboard LAN ports and two pins set to "hot wire" my PC to boot up considered flaws? Not to mention frequent blue screens of death until the system warms up if it's been off for any reason?
Are 120CFM fans that get cleaned frequently not powerful enough?
Otherwise, the replacement power supply is more than adequate if not just a little old to run my GTX570 at 750/1500MHz and my still kickin' X2 5600+ @3.1GHz... I realize a new motherboard and powersupply would cover bioware's tails based on that post, but I've ran other games that make my PC work and not had the shutdown issue except maybe once in a blue moon.
The way I see it there's no reason for things like the holoterminal on your ship or simply turning on their FSAA shader to high should cause my video card to rapidly heat up and cause some "instability" or "expose flaws." The holoterminal issue had to do with the vsync not working at one time, but the crash issue arised again when the client patch with FSAA turned it to high by default. From a game programmer's point of view (that's my job, for the record) and making presumptions as to why the FSAA option wasn't at launch is that they knew of the framerate issues with their shader and either optimised it to be incorporated into the retail clients or it's a poorly made component...
Actually, if you are getting blue screens until your system warms up does point to serious flaws, and I'd say there is more than fried LAN ports on your MB that are bad... you might have blown power regulators which would cause larger than normal power draws, and borderline stability for other components. I wouldn't fully blame the game for your issues. As for overheating components, that usually is a sign of either bad cooling or not enough stable power, and if you have enough fans and the computer is located so it doesn't recycle hot air, all that leaves is stable power. remember V=IR, and P=IV=I^2 R for electrical systems, and the fact that transisters are non linear, which means that when voltage drops, current increases, causing your stuff to overheat big time. And I thought that the reason that FSAA option wasn't available at launch was due to it causing severe graphics corruption on some video cards. Now I agree with you, their default settings are stupid - it should always be low allowing for the gamer to adjust as they see fit, but at least they do choose somewhat intelligently based on the capabilities of the system. Also their are lots of bugs and optimisations that need to be done. But you can't blame a game for pushing your hardware, and due to flaws in the build causing it to overheat and shutdown. Not that the holoterminal uses transparent textures, etc, which is an expensive thing for a GPU to do, so more resources are required, same with fsaa. I take a look at many of those threads, and people are running older drivers, have insufficient cooling, are running with ######ty power supply, or have overclocked stuff to the edge of stability that are experiencing overheating/computer shutdown issues. Now game crashes, and game bugs - those are biowares fault, but hardware overheats and crashes, as well as blue screens are typically drivers and system build faults. I say typically, since swtor does require running as administrator mode, so blue screens can be caused by accessing invalid pointer locations, etc.

Well, I found a new kick ass video on youtube..

here is a video of the Soa fight... I'm wondering if we are moving too slow and missing platforms.
And it looks like there is still 6 days on the lock out for eternity vault for us... so we could try soa, or do kragga's.
Also, here is a bunch of videos for all the encounters from a sorcerer healing perspective

3) What improvements would you bring to the guild?
I can give crash courses on standing in fire while eating snicker bars. It's more difficult than you think, since chocolate can get all melty fast in that kind of heat! In all seriousness, this is a very difficult question to answer at this early stage of the game, as I have not yet gotten to know everyone in the guild, and haven't gotten a good feel for what we would like to do as a group, other than the obvious Heroic Flashpoints, Dailies and Operations. I plan to do all of these things, plus I also have several ideas for the guild itself, such as organizing events or accessibility to guild resources (even now, before there are in-game mechanics for it). And, most importantly, EVERY guild benefits from having at least one female officer. I volunteer to be the token. I know, I know the sacrifices I must make...
here is the perfect youtube video for kadi's raiding strategy
But yes, kadi would make a good lord. I haven't responded to this since I don't know yet if I want any responsibility in the guild at this time.

I will be level 50 by the weekend myself, so I can participate then

Well, its with a sad heart to say that I'm just going to cancel the raid. I would've loved for us to get deathwing down in 10 man before the raid was cancelled, but we are unable to get all 10 of us together by the end of the month (and by the end of some peoples subscription), and instead of trying to flag a dead horse any further, I've decided to put it out of its misery. As you know the past 3-4 months people have wanned away from the game to the point were there is very few online at anygiven time, which makes finding replacements extremely difficult. I've had fun with everyone, and we had pretty good progression. I wish everyone the best, whether its swinging lightsabers, or kung fu pandas battling with pokemon.

I should be lvl 50 by then as heals.

If you open up the origin client it will have the product code for the game when displaying the game info.
That only shows the early release/beta key. After a good bit of poking around, I did find a phone number, which had me go that route, but since it wasn't an official release key, they couldn't do any more. That got me sent to call Origin.
Origin did give me a key over the phone, so that's done. Apparently, it's not an uncommon problem. When I called and said I'd not received a key for a game I'd purchased, the rep's almost experated reply was "SWTOR, right?" It seems that a lot of people never got the keys for digital download preorders.
I dunno. It's left me frowning a good bit. I wasn't getting seriously into it during early release, but was giving it a go. Now that I'm far far behind anyone else, I'm not sure I'll stick with the game.
I do know that my first digital game purchase will also be my last. I'll stick with actual physical box n discs from now on.
Hrm, origin not updating with the proper code was not biowares fault, that is EA pushing the ######ty beta origin client for any digital downloads of EA published games... I'm sure the only reason EA is in business is due to their sports games, but that is another topic. There were lots of boxes without the game code too according to the forums, and they are having a harder time to sort things out - they need to send a copy of the game receipt along with other info. Really, the game has been fun, and questing a blast, but with the amount of bugs that exist which appearantly has been around since the early beta's and not fixed, the lack of testing of features, and the piss poor customer service, they should have probably left the game in beta for another month instead of releasing it over the holidays where people are going to overload their servers... and bioware/EA doesn't seem to want to keep thier customers happy with good communication, or granting free time like other mmo's have. Penny arcade states they expect SWTOR to become free to play, and if bioware doesn't fix their customer support and the worst of the bugs in the next month or two, I can see it happening. (there are reports of multi-hour phone waits due to a very buggy security question system which does nothing to improve account security in this day and age, a buggy authenticator system, ability activation lag, graphic engine bugs, companion bugs)
