  1. I think that it would be of great benifit to the guild if we could aquire some of these ancient smithy hammers especially those that grant 30 smithing skill or more.  This way smiths may borrow them to craft their goods and then return them to those given the task of holding such an item.  Of course those given the right to hold these rare items would need to be able to be on or available to pass the hammer on a very consistent basis.

I suppose that the Senator of Trades and his Smithy Legate will need to investigate this option further.  Again this is just a thought.

Perhaps as rewards to the mining/smithing coilition colored forges and runic hammers can be offered to deserving individuals.  As a guild we have a tremendous chance of completing some of the more difficult BOD's.  Hephestos will once again begin tring to get smithing BOD's daily.  When tailoring BOD's amke their appearance he will begin collecting those as well.

Hopefully people are interested in this.  It would truely be great to see this take off.

  2. I believe Logan is correct.

Undoubtably there will be more PGoH sponsered scenarios and given the interest in this one I am sure that participation within the scenario troupe will be increased.  The important thing in this scenario is what is being talked about on the pgoh.org news section.  Borg has shown great vision and has created some wonderful storylines that hold much information.  I urge all who have yet to read them to make their way over and read them.

PGoH News Part 1 of Wolf's Madness (other stories in the saga may also be found here),

Perhaps this is also an indication that the guild wants to have some in-guild pvp of some sort.  This could be done in a day long capture the flag event on a fairly uninhabited island of some sort.  Perhaps this event could be sponsored by the House of War?  Depending on responses and participation (it would need to be garanteed) we could create 3 or more teams prior to the event.  This would be excellent preparation not only for the Honor virtue but for PvM as well.  As many already know the more deadly of foes change targets and behave (albiet less so than a player character) more erraticly than most "Stock" monsters.

  3. As of Publish 16, having any number of co-owners or friends isn't enough to stop an "ownerless house" (a house owned by an inactive account) from becoming Condemned and decaying.

If the primary owner is on an inactive account, then the house will become Condemned and begin decaying. However, when Publish 16 is implemented, a house that doesn't have a primary owner will have its ownership offered to the related co-owners, and if they pass on prime ownership then those on the house's friends list will be offered the opportunity to become the prime owner for the house. If there're no takers after that, then the house will become Condemned and decay.

  4. Lora, Sylvana, Tristan, Lui, and Kodoz spent about 3 hours at one such spot where the Champion for the Abyss, Silva, spawns.  While several of them gained the titles of Foe or Assasin of the Abyss they were unable to spawn this creature of evil so they could bring her to her knees.  This is not a task for the foolhardy.  These were experienced players and they found themselves staring at a grey landscap.  The more you kill the faster spawns come.  It gets out of hand quickly and even those coordinating efforts can soon find themselves on the defensive and running for thier lives.  The Lines of Honor would be very benificial and key here.  Perhaps when Decurion Rand returns from his leave training will again commence and that can be the ultimate goal of the legions.

  5. Well I either like or will live with the changes coming for most things but have some comments on some.

The armor changes in my opinion are good, however if this is done then magic armor needs to be changed (which should have happened long ago) so that it has unique properties such as fire resistance, electric, and the sort.  Perhaps unlimited RA to an extent teleportation with build in delays, stat and skill bonuses.  Come on its MAGIC armor.  Its supposed to be rare as hell, expensive and truely set the wearer apart depending on the power of the magics bestowed upon it.  Lets see em move towards that.  I also think things like Mithril and Adamantite should be found.  Image armor with less dex loss because its super light?  Or more durability because there is nothing that can shatter it?  So much can be done in this field and I believe OSI has made a good first step, and one that must be made before going forth and making even greater changes creating true rarity for magic items and uniqueness.

Tank mages: Shoulda never been brought to their knees the way they have.  It takes/took good coordination of all skills a tanker had developed in order to be great.  With some of the changes coming a tank might actually reappear and be able to hold his own in PvP.

Ethereals: Don't mess with Vet rewards.  THey are rewards for long playtime and should be given some leway.  Rather than change this OSI should just keep such things in mind for future rewards and implementations.

EQ  A worthless spell before or after changes.  Personally I think the whole spell system needs to be totally revamped including damages, casting times and spell types.  There should be a great many spells created and there should be categories. i.e. cold based, poison based, fire based, elecity, and magic.  The only way to create diversity is to allow for such things.  Allow disciplines in magery to develop strength in certain paths and weakness in others.  This will create diversity even amongst GM mages.  Hell I have several mage characters and if it meant getting and revamping spells I would sacrifice ALL my spells and set out on quests to obtain them all (and get the new ones) again.  Spells should need to be researched as well......I could go on and on what needs to be done to magery but I'm sure you get the idea.  (similar things could be be done to melee by developing fighting disciplines i.e. rach certain sword tactic level and one can set about a quest to learn a fighting style...again I could go on but you see where I'm headed)

Taming Barding: Bout damn time still much that could be done though...including strengthening of pets a bit since the number used by single tamer will be reduced (this could be done through tamer specialization)

Fel changes.  Personally I will muddle through.  Players of today dont know what PvP/PK hell is really like.  Being a 5yr vet working around PK's under current day rules isnt nearly what it was in the past.

Lastly this has nothing to do with the publish but I need to say it:  BRING BACK SEERS!  THe current quest/Scenario generator is good to maintain things but nothing can compare with the diversity and the creativity that a PC foe/ally can add.  They encourage roleplay and can be used to allow for even more diverse choices within a scenario.  Currently the scenarios while well though and interesting become stagnant due to lack of interaction and the "unknown factor"

P.S. Forgive typos, seems Im learing how to type and play with a little one on my knee these days and she doesnt always allow me clear thought :D or a keyboard free of her hands.

  6. Bah surely these Minotaurs are no match for the legions.  I believe our tailors have plenty of red cloth and our dragoons the sharp lances needed to the bulls of the maze.  I always did find bullfighting interesting although barbaric.

Another question comes to mind as well my leige.  If these creations of Mondain thought long ago extinct still exist beyond our reach is it not posssible that Mondain himself exists hidden from our sight?  Afterall who is this Exodus we have heard rumblings of, his face never seen, and his control absolute even over those as arrogant as the Juka and Blackthorne himself.

  7. Perhaps a mass ICQ to members would be in order.  As many people are new to the guild perhaps they do not yet check the boards as frequently as the probably should and therefore don't know of the contest.  I would send out the mass myself but I don't think my ICQ list is as complete as yours.

  8. Wow what a turnout.  I wish I could have stayed for the expedition.  I sure hope you all found what you were looking for.  Did my heart well to see so many men and women of honor standing at the ready to vanquish evil and bring the light back to the land.

  9. Sorry I havent been around especially for the newer players.  I have been very ill as of late.  It seems the antibiotics I have been taking for the past 10 days were of little use so Im trying something new.  With luck Ill be on the mend soon and back in game.
