It also might have been a change required to fix some game mechanics. I'd wait to pass judgement until we actually get to play the expansion and understand the nature of flying mounts and why we would want them (or a flying form, for that matter). Give it a longer cast timer, 1.5 sec could stomp fly away change in mid air moonfire then change back. Rinse repeat.
