Obviously the point was missed on why I brought up my title not being done for 3 WEEKS... But you know what, that pot shot was the LAST straw for me. I have removed myself from the guild.

I dont know about anyone else but I have never gotten my money from a rebate. Ever.

4 Days ago, I bought myself new armor that should have given me an AR of 64. My actual AR was 49. Aroo...? So, I stripped. AR was -15 !? What the...? In my undies! Nothing else on. I asked Winter and it was suggested I pagea GM, while stark raving nekked. Instead of a GM, I got a message saying I needed to check resistances and turn them off. Again, aroo?? Im an Archer! How could I cast any mage spell on myself with little to no magery and not know I did it? Well the GM's were no help so I wandered off to Stratics and was told that some nice little mage zapped me with either magic reflection or protection or arch protection. Well, I dont remember a drive-by-spelling. It was suggested I go find another nice little mage and ask them to cast one of these spells on me. Magic reflection (scroll form) dropped me to -40 AR. So I ate another one. Back to -15. Ok that wasn't it. I ate a protection scroll. BINGO! back to zero AR. Here's the problem mages!! Those spells can only be cast on others while you are grouped with them. The problem is the fact that those of us who do not cast magery spells are hurt in the end by what is meant to be helpful spells. The idea behind the protection spell is to stop the person its cast on from failing a spell while inturrupted. Great concept, but you loose AR and the spell cant be turned "off" unless its recasted. Since your typical archer usually is training chivalry, magery is not a used skill, therefore, that nice gester has just fluffed us, because unless we know this has happend (and in my case, I didn't and there is no telling HOW long I was running about with 15 less AR), we don't know how or that we need to turn it "off". Protection spell is actually quite useless for an archer, since it does not effect chivalry spells (that I noticed). My suggestion: while grouped with non spell casters, find out if its ok to cast this "group" spell and please, please, please be sure that they understand that you just killed their AR and that the protection spell (or magic reflection/ arch protection etc etc) will need to be recasted to break it. Otherwise, they will run around for weeks like I did, without knowing WHY an Earth Ellie suddenly kicks their ass.

Aye, you have a point there, Prom. But I'm 99% sure Luk meant every day uniform? I may have misinturrpeted this...

But even a squire will need mage armor. A true necromancer will be training meditation. Anyone who has ever trained a mage knows that one cannot meditate in bone armor, unless it is the new "mage armor". Not to shoot down Luk's suggestion to change the Necro uniform to bone mage armor, but as he and I discovered on a shopping spree the other night, finding decently priced mage armor is near impossible. And when you do find it, you pay out the nose for it. I believe the bone mage armor has to be made by a GM tailor with one of the new runic sewing kits. This is one item my own GM Tailor does not have (if she did, this would not even be a concern of mine). Add to the fact that many of the newer guild members might not have the funds to clothe themselves, without the help of vet players. Now, shoot me if you wish, but shouldnt the Guild supply the uniforms?

I have never played in 2D. I saw pictures of 2D and it looks hokey to me oh yea Thanks Winter for my pretty sig image!

I hate being the naysayer of the guild, but before we start working on new Cohorts, don't you think we should be focusing on the current Cohorts and getting them back into order? With the most recent events, all Cohorts are in some sort of disarray, with new Centurions coming in and old ones moving up or out. Before we add more to our plate, we should be focusing on what's already there.

I probably know I will end up being flamed or threats of criminal charges brought up on me, but I have to say this. I don't like the fact that the vote totals are seen by everyone. I don't like the fact that someone can register a new name to vote more than once to "stuff the ballot box". I don't like the fact that this rumor is floating around. I don't like that I am reading people publically wishing to change their votes. I believe that this public vote needs to be null and void and that voting starts over again, in game, with a ballot box. I believe this is only fair and just for all three candidates and will eliminate the ability to "stuff the ballot box".

Thank you very much for your post, Pride. Well said. You have explained exactly what's going on and why I am upset. I was actually thinking of resigning from the guild because my views, concerns and the mere fact that I questioned our current leadership were rebuted with being called stupid, naive, childish, disrespectful, flaming and pointing fingers by two top members in a leadership role. Although I could have and should have approached it in a different manner, I am afraid that what you read from me previously is my style, take it or leave it. That is who I am and I will not change. I am not some 18 year old little girl, but a 33 year old woman. I did find previous post directed at me to be insulting and offensive and yes, regardless of the fact that the phrase "I'm not flaming you but..." was mentioned does not discount the fact that those posts were flames. I was warned to watch what I say, how I said it. In the same instance, those who said that to me need to practice what they preach. Just because you may hold a title of a leadership role does not mean that you are not without fault and are not responsible for your own actions and words, nor does that title give you the right to censor, humiliate, degrade or discriminate against members of the guild that are simply "grunts", because they differ with your own personal opinions and beliefs. I am certainly not power hungry, nor am I attempting to over throw the "government" and sneak my way into a leadership position. But obviously, I am hitting a nerve (ie thread locked because someone did like what was being said) with the firestorm Winter touched off. We have leaders who have stepped down or "retired" still trying to control us, while they don't bother to show up for weekly meetings. All I am asking for is accountability. Is that too much to ask for? Obviously it is. The problem I see here that that 1) I was promoted to Shadowrider Knight (still not titled as such) last week 2) my Centurion is now Winter Wind, promoted the same day. I dont know WHO my centurion was before, but the he never contacted me. There is a lack of communication. Major lack. Information is supposed to flow from the TOP down. First we don't know where the top is, and information is not reaching us through proper channels. Shoot, information isnt reaching us at all.

Is it just me or does a post from the Guild Leader seem to be extremely impersonal, detached and leave you with the feeling of being cast aside like yesterday's garbage? I for one, woudl like to be able to meet the Guild Leader, Borg, once before he leaves UO (which from what I undesatnd he already has left, months ago, for Shadowbane) and for him to have the decency to talk to us active guild members in person, to our faces at the next Sunday night meeting, the plans and future of PGoH. Since he has never shown up for any meeting I have attended and I haven't missed one since I became a member. I found it to be a slap in the face and insult to me and the other members who showed up for last night's meeting to be given messages from Borg via Lora on the telephone with him. I'm sorry, did we inturrupt you in Shadowbane? Are we that much of a bother now that you had the time to talk to Lora on the phone and post Shadowbane photos in the forum next door, but not respect us enough to show up to ONE meeting and answer our questions concerning the fate of PGoH? This falls under common courtesy and respect. You can call this disrepect, but it needed to be said. No one else has the nerver to come out and say it. I am one of the newest members, so I have nothing to loose for stating a fact. PGoH was and has been highly disrepected by its leader for months.
