  1. At least my elemental shammy may be able to get into a WW/NL raid group soon as part of their dps rotation. Seems like my old pattern continues: level the tank, run heroics, and end up raiding on dps. Been that way since TBC.
  2. It's sad being the one of two or even the only guild member logged in. I really do miss folks. I'd had such high hopes for a guild group raid this expansion too.
  3. Coming in 5.2: a drop off dinomancer mobs that teaches hunters to tame dinosaurs. Finally Grumpy will be able to have some dino buddies to hang out with in the stables. Oh, and while non-hunters can't have such awesome pets, they can at least ride around on 'em:
  4. Those're great! Thank you for making them!
  5. So. What if that 'bikini armor' that's one oftens sees transmogged on female characters looked the same for both genders? Poor Boven. At least he'll keep nice and cool in his new plate battle thong.
  6. I'm only missing the original WoW CE. For the record, WotLK is still my favorite expansion, but MoP is becoming a close second.

    Riko

So who else loved the quest chain in Jade Forest involving Riko? "I on way, Kiryn! And I don't care about you weird dead face"

    Toys!

I've got the wyvern one pictured. I finally put it together last night (not that that one takes more than a few minutes to assemble). I haven't found a good place for him to perch yet. I'd love to get the zepplin kit, but dang, it's like 65 bucks. I also kind of want the roflcopter set, but it comes with a Gnome, not a Goblin. Ewww...gnomes...
  9. Since some of us still play WoW, here's the Mists of Pandaria cinematic:
  10. He was very into the club scene in his youth: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xK9FkutYTAI
  11. Camouflage doesn't work too well on Warchief GIR: AAAAH! GOJIRA!
  12. From a week or two ago. I finally got around to uploading 'em. Ahh. I see you use Fighting Cow kung fu: But it's no match for my Fighting Bull style:
  13. Yay! http://wow.joystiq.com/2012/03/31/around-azeroth-beta-edition-meet-the-new-boss-same-as-the-old/
  14. No real spoilers here, just some observations. I checked out some of the newly opened Jade Forest zone last night. I didn't get to do a whole lot since the beta server crashed. While having gigantic pets was fun for a bit, I went to the stables to swap my Krush and Chromaggus for some smaller beasts. When I did, I noticed that 5 of my slots at the stablemaster were empty. At first, I thought maybe this meant we were getting more slots, but then realized I was just missing 5 of my pets. I'm not sure which pets they were. When I tried to drag one of my five pets into one of those empty slots, I got an error message indicating the slot was locked. Weird. I put it down as another beta bug and swapped out Grumpy and GIR for a raptor and wolf (Takk and the Lone Hunter). They were still 'wild' sized, but at least I could actually *see* what was around me. The intro quests/videos shown on WoW Insider and elsewhere aren't in place yet. Speaking to a Pandaren outside Garrosh's building just gives the option to teleport to either the Horde starting point (actually, to a spot a way south of it), or a temple in the middle of the zone. There are currently portals back to Org from both those places, but the one at Hellscream's Hope doesn't work. I dunno about the other one. The most interesting beast I ran across in my short visit was the new tiger skin. I really like it. I also kind of like the turtles near the Horde starting area. The other beasts I was able to find were standard skins of bears, owls and talbuks. Unfortunately, none of the beasts are tameable yet. I imagine that'll happen in a later beta patch. The taxi's are kind of cool. Leaving from the Horde base, the flight was on a standard wyvern. From the temple's flight point, it was a big kite with a lantern on the back. Questing was tough just due to the large number of people there. The Horde ones consist of some of the "Kill a bunch of these guys" and "Gather 8 of those things" Nothing too difficult, unless there are 20 or more people all around trying to do the same thing. My UI and talents make things a bit more challenging too. I really miss my macros, bar mods and other quality of life addons. I've got abilities spread all over the action bars and I resort to clicking some things. My talents are kind of all over the place as I've tried some of the new ones. The one that gets to me in a bad way is graphics related. There's nothing wrong with the zones or anything. They're beautiful. What bothers me is that everything has a rather strong golden lighting effect to it. I'm sure it's a setting somewhere, but I can't find it. It makes things look as if it's late afternoon and there's a bright, almost harsh, pre-sunset light on everything. It kind of bothers my eyes. Since it occurs everywhere else I've gone (Orgrimmar, Mulgore, and Thunder Bluff) I figure it's some global effect. It gets to my eyes after a while.
  15. It's a pretty common bug for hunter pets on beta and ptr servers to retain their pre-tamed size. I wasn't surprised to see it when I copied Sky over for beta. (I was surprised there was already a Skywatcher and that I hadda change his name though). Naturally, I had to do some screen and movie captures... Oh sure, those baby turtles at the pet shop are cute, but the sales people never tell you how big they'll get when they grow up: Since Bernie kept setting things on fire, I let him go rest in the stable and brought out Grumpy. Ol grumps was feeling playful, so we decided to have a little game of hide and seek. Grumpy's good at that game. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out where he was hiding: After we got tired of hide and seek, I thought it was high time to have a little talk with Warchief Tinyhea...er...Garrosh. I brought some backup while we 'discussed' the whole Cairne thing. Say hello to my little friend...: Unfortunately, the discussion didn't go to well. Garrosh yelled a lot, that made Grumpy mad and...well..um...I had to find a replacement quickly. Say hello to our new leader, Warchief GIR: Hell, he's got to be better than Garrosh, right? Now our new warchief needed someone competent guarding him. I figured I knew just the guy for the job. Poor Zed there must've been an arachniphobe. He stood there for a while looking at Wihio and then just ran away: After a minute or two on the throne, Warchief GIR got bored and decided to tour his domain. First we tried to visit Undercity, but the darned Goblins wanted to charge some extra baggage/overweight fee for some strange reason: That made Warchief GIR angry. Very angry: So angry that he decided he didn't want to be warchief any more. He just wanted to go back to the stable and play with his squeaky gnome toy, so I decided to call it a day and see what was up in Pandaria. Turns out there's strange things there, too. That, however, is a topic for a different post.
  16. Nothing says 'cool' like Darth Vader... ..in a kilt... ..playing the bagpipes.. ...on a unicycle...
  17. According to WCU, we hunters'll get something we've wanted for a while: Stampede!: Hunters are getting a Stampede ability, bringing all 5 pets out at once for a short duration cooldown — Ghostcrawler said he thinks it increases Beastmastery damage by 80% when they’re out! We don’t know yet if this ability is BM only or not. Y'know, I'll probably try to specific groups of pets when I think I'm gonna use Stampede. Maybe one with big pets like the rhino and devilsaur. Oh, and one just for fighting rogues which is composed of all sporebats....

  19. I'm curious how they'll implement it. From WoW Insider: While the steps taking us there are still unknown, Metzen did reveal that the war waged in those patches will reach a massive conclusion: We will lay siege to Orgrimmar to remove the mantle of warchief from Garrosh Hellscream's shoulders. It didn't sound as if it would be an Alliance-only venture, so it seems the new Warchief of the Horde will get a little too Old School Grom for their taste. However, there is a possibility that the Horde will get to deal a similar blow of their own ... Knowing the fate of Garrosh Hellscream, it's possible nobody is safe this expansion. I'll be glad to be rid of our tiny-headed Warchief. I'm hoping Abasick Campfire will replace him. Or may be Vol'Jin.
  20. One of the recently released MoP preview screenshots features some yak-like fellows. I'd love to see them as a playable model, though I suspect they'll be like the Taunka and just NPC's:
  21. One can dream that one day their model will look this good: http://vimeo.com/17611685
  22. Okay, so it's not TOR, but it's still SW related. First game shown: could be fun for a while Second game demo'd: Looks a bit clunky, but might be okay Third game: Um....
