  1. Just had to share my nice new experience tonite here on the boards since I don't get to see many people online these days being in my silly time zone. I am running around killing the yetis in the caves in Hillsbrad and am starting to call it a night so I head off on my mount to Tarren Mill to log. Lo and behold, as I make my way there I get the 'Tarren Mill is under attack' message popping on my screen like crazy. Needless to say I was a little anxious to get back to see what is happening. As I approach I see a lvl 76 dorf hunter killing the NPCs there. Well, needless to say, he didn't survive long once I got through with him, which gave me my first honorable kill with this character. It was a realy nice feeling considering I am only lvl 71 and he was actually listed as being red to me! :-) After his beatdown he never returned either...lol

    Luckily Taid was online to share in my victory though, thanks Taid.

    Talk to you guys later and maybe (hopefully) see you soon...

    Verren

    *Cheers* You have brought honor to the Horde and the guild! Great job! :(

  2. I did not write it, just found it :cP

    'Twas the night before Winter’s Viel, close and far

    Not a creature was killing, not even in Orgrimmar;

    The lights were hung by the bank with care,

    In hopes that Greatfather Winter soon would be there;

    The tauren were nestled all snug in their beds,

    While visions of punting gnomes still in their heads;

    We left Hellfire all to cap,

    Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,

    When out at the gates there arose such a clatter,

    Orc’s sprang from the cots to see what’s the matter.

    Away to the gate, they mounted in a flash,

    In hopes there could be a mid-night smash.

    Grabbing their Axes and racing with their steeds,

    Hopefully the alliance have came to bleed,

    When, what to their wondering eyes should appear,

    But a army of knights, on little tiny reindeer,

    With a little old Gnome, so lively and slick,

    I knew in a moment their slaughter would be quick.

    More rapid than most aspects of Hawks,

    We whistled, and shouted, called them names and mocked;

    "Now, Elf! now, Dwarf! now, Human and Gnome!

    Come one! Come all! You all shall be placed in your tomb!

    To the top of the bunkers! To the top of the walls!

    Now Archer fire away! Fire away! Kill them all!"

    As dry leaves they knew they might die,

    When they meet with an obstacle, they mount to the sky,

    So up to Outlands, to Shattrath they flew,

    With the sleigh full of lewt that they ninja’d from you!

    And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof

    The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.

    As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,

    Down the chimney Greatfather Winter came with a bound.

    He was dressed all epics, from his head to his toes,

    His clothes were all tarnished with knifes that we throw;

    A bundle of weapons he had flung on his back,

    And he looked like a boss and just opening his pack.

    His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!

    His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!

    His trollish little mouth was drawn up like a bow,

    but he’s a drawf and I knew he’d be slow;

    So they took a pipe smacked him in the head,

    “Why did you do that?” , the angry Thrall said;

    He woke right away and rolled onto his little round belly,

    The shock, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly.

    He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old drawf,

    We laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;

    A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,

    Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;

    He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,

    And filled all the trees; even though we were such jerks,

    And laying his finger aside of his nose,

    And giving a nod, up to the skies he rose;

    He sprang to his sleigh, to his raid gave a warning,

    And away they all flew because it was soon almost morning..

    But I heard him exclaim, as he flew out of sight,

    "Merry Christmas to WOW, and to all a good-night."

    I'm so sorry to hear this happened. I am happy to hear you were not harmed. I hope next year brings you as much happiness and joy as this year has brought pain and sorrow. You are in our thoughts and prayers *hugs*

  8. Smed,

    I've been asking around for you this week. Haven't seen you on much. Hope all is well, but want you to know your absence is noticed and that you are missed. You REALLY don't want me knowing more than you about areas and instances in Northrend. I'm not nearly as good at describing what to do, what comes next, and what treats lie at the end of the encounter as you are. :tease:

    Hurry back!

    Your pal,

    Mali

    I miss you too Smeddy. The camp is just not the same without you. Sure, it smells a little better, but it's just not the same!

  9. 10 more things to do while waiting in the Q:

    1. Break out the old movies. Act them out.

    2. Make faces through the window at your neighbors.

    3. Sing the most annoying song you can think of at the top of your lungs.

    4. Write out "Clan Skullcrusher". See how many words you can create with the present letters.

    5. Beltch and/or sing your ABC's backwards.

    6. Draw stick figures....do not share with the rest of us what you decide to make them do....

    7. Fingerpaint in chocolate on the refrigerator. Blame the cat.

    8. Channel surf as fast as you can. Time yourself and see if you can beat your record.

    9. Write a note to the Tooth Fairy complaining about how today's kids get $10 + and all you got was a lousy nickle or dime.

    10. Have a staring contest with yourself. Who will win? You or yourself? Hmmm???
