  1. One thing to remember - because Blizzard  sux, if you respec you have to retrain 2handers from 1 to 300 again.

    FYI

Yep, I know I have to regrind my 2h hammer skill back up again. *sigh*

I really wish Blizz would do away with that and let us train it at the weapon trainers.

  2. Hmm. I need to keep enhancement down to 2 hand axe/mace...I have a point wrapped up in that, and significant time and money wrapped in making a Hammer of the Titans. :)

I don't want to give that up just yet.

I'm really torn at the moment. Elemental + enhance for PVP/PVE or Enhancement + Restoration for PVP/PVE survivability, wihtout as much burst damage, and to outlast other classes...I'm finding this a hard decision to make, but I know 35 in Enhancement just seems to be lacking for me, and seeing some of my shocks crit for 800 to 1000+ vs. my melee damage really makes me want to lean that direction lately.

The flip side is self healing and staying alive longer in the battlegrounds and out in the world. *sigh*

  3. Thanks for the input Raeda and Muru...I'm thinking more Enhancement and Restoration now that I've looked closer at the trees. May try that tonight and see how I like it over the course of the next few days, plus I will be able to heal myself and party members better I think.

    Here's another enhancement/resto build I was thinking:

The only thing I see with Elemental is you have to spend a lot to get the most out of that tree, and I may go that route yet. Right now I'm trying to find what works best for me in a group environment now that I'm doing more instances and grouping than I've ever done before.

I don't see an elemental/resto build working too well since you'd end up being pure casting, and I don't think our mana pools are able to handle both very well.

  4. That's part of why I posted here - hoping some of our other Shaman would post their thoughts.

I've sat and played with an Enhancement (34) and Resto (17) build, and came up with this build that appeals to me and I may try out:

    http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classe...050050014020000

And here's what I was thinking for an Elemental(22)/Enhance(29) build:

  5. Ok, I've respecced one time to reclaim a point in enhancement that I had spent that I didn't mean to do...

My question is now that I've been 60 for a while, and finally realizing that I am NOT a warrior afterall :) , is going a split elemental/enhancement build better? I currently have 35 in enhancement with 16 in elemental. Lately in raids and so forth I've found myself using more of my elemental stuff, and I've noticed a tendency to choose gear with more intelligence and spirit than stamina, which is a major change from my play style just a few weeks ago.

I intend to keep my two hander, but would I benefit groups more by respeccing to say a 30 enhance/21 elemental instead of my 35 enhance/16 elemental build I am currently using?

I've never had a build with anything in restoration for my Shaman, and I'm not sure if I should look down that path or not. I know healing is always good for grouping, but I've always been more of a melee type, and lately have been casting much more.

Basically I think I am not playing my Shaman to what he is really meant to be...I've turned him into a warrior with some elemental shocks to help out. What do the other Shamans that read this think? Opinions are definitely welcome.

For referrence, here is the build I am currently using:

  6. Made into MC last night for the first time with Xaos, Gordantell, and a whole bunch of Argent Covenant members last night.

For a lot of us, this was our first time in, including myself. Learned a lot in there and had a lot of fun too. Of course we didn't complete the instance, but we did get to Lucifron. Although we didn't beat him (it was close the last attempt!), it was a good run and I can't wait to go back in. The AC is looking to put together runs through the Molten Core every Friday. Please check their site if you haven't already and you are interested in going. :lostit:

I would love to see more Crushers and LIA make it in there with us! :nub:

  7. Ok, so here is who I have for the 60's bracket thus far (please let me know if I missed anyone):

    Gordantell

    Smedlock

    Huato

    Nakari

    Xaos

    Rhoach

    50's:

    Morgh

    Maube

    Haq

    Benim

29< (I list it this way because I know they are going to be moving up soon to the 20-29 bracket):

    Katakorinthia

    Tazzak

    Vanidi

Please please please let me know if I missed anyone, and Haq - let me know who you have down in the up & comings for the 60's bracket. Once you and they get there we're going to need to start forming up regularly to work out strategies and such...which leads me to the next thing - Team Speak. Wuulf, is our TS server up and running and available to us still? And if you are not familiar with TS, please let me know. I'll be glad to help in any way I can.

  8. Yub, we have had a lot of good groups and times lately. Looking forward to many more in the near future.

I can't take credit for Sunken Temple though - I was along for the comradere and to help - Maube and Haq led the way there. >:L

  9. I know. I didn't start my Druid to be a twink alt, but if I am going to play in the battle grounds it looks like I may have to do that with him if I want a fighting chance to stay alive in there.

They seriously need to put a level requirement on the better enchants - life stealing, crusader, etc.

  10. True, but in the mean time there are no repercussions for anyone AFKing out of a match, which means an unorganized group going into AB is going to get steamrolled and will get nothing.

This is why I am trying to get organzied here and over at AC...that way we can at least try to last long enough to get something out of it, and to eventually win.

  11. Cool...we need to start a good list of who wants to participate in which braket.

Last night 20-29 bracket was not fun. When I played it at 25, most of us were in the 23 to 26 range. The Alliance had all 29's, organized, and twinked. We lost both matches because of this. They were taking me down in bear form in two to three hits. Lot of weapon enchantments were going on there.

  12. Ok, with the advent of the new patch, if we don't last 10 minutes and still lose, we get nothing...

Who would be interested in joining me in establishing a solid PVP group that we know we can work together with to at least stand a fighting chance and eventually win these things?

I don't just mean the 60's either...I'm talking all level ranges, and all battlefields.

I have Huato at 60 and Zuato at 25. Willing to use both with good groups.

  13. But until then...and after then...the loser of these matches gets squat for showing up. There's already mention of many casual gamers leaving the BG's altogether for this reason. We can't help when Shad or Juggs AFKs out of a match against the A-Teams and we get stuck facing them and get slaughtered as a pick up group. Now we get nothing for even trying to stick it out. NADA. Nothing. Where is my incentive now at 60, with no epic gear, and can't get a PUG to stick together to work out strategies? Pretty well blows my chances of ever progressing in AB or WSG in most cases as far as faction goes. I'm barely into friendly with Huato with both those groups. With this change, I will probably never see Honored unless we and the AC can put together a couple teams that work well together. No more casual battle grounds at 60. Just isn't going to happen.

  14. Yep, but then there's incentive for us when we fight the A-Teams to stay.

Now there is absolutely no reason for us not to AFK out on them until the next patch.

    /golfclap blizzard

  15. Well at least when we lose in WSG the games usually just drag on and on and on and on hehhee

some of the WSG games I've played with Tazzak lasted a whole... 8 minutes hehe

    lol

Wait till you hit 60. And go to Arathi Basin.

You'll appreciate what I'm saying a whole lot more then ;)

  16. I was thinking more like what they did with AV...if the match ends in less than an hour there, the winning team gets less honor and faction.

Just like that, but make it 10 minutes for AB.

  17. Ok, here's a small snippet of the patch contents:

    Battlegrounds

        * Battles must now last at least ten minutes after the start of the battle in order for the losing team to receive a Mark of Honor.

Is it me, or should this be for the winning team in AB? The times that we get thrown against the A-Team we get rolled in less than 5 minutes no matter what we try or how hard we try. Why punish the losers for trying and not being able to do a thing about it?
