Glok'tur
I imagine a lot of people, mainly young ones, dislike where they live. Once you start moving around, you'll start to realize things about your previous homes you took for granted. In my case: I was born in Billings, Montana. My family moved to Tucson, Arizona when I was 3 and a half. We have lived there for 16 years. I moved up to Belgrade, Montana in November. It was an interesting change, but there is literally nothing to do there. It's too cold to do anything outside and the town only has 8,000 people in it. We only had 1 vehicle so I couldn't drive to Bozeman, nearby. It's where Montana State U is, about 35-40,000 people I hear. (I lived with friends.) Anywho, I realized Tucson was nice because we have 800,000 people, more stuff to do and people to meet! Also, in Arizona it doesn't get much colder than 50 degrees in the winter, during the day. Arizona also has no natural disasters! Sure, we have monsoons but if you're smart, flash floods and lightning won't get to ya. Heh heh. No earthquakes, ever, no tornadoes no nothin'. (We once felt 1 shake from a Cali quake. One little rumble in the ground, lol.) So look at the pros and cons, and if you haven't had the chance to move away and reflect back on your old home, do your best to be content with what you've got! I don't think the USA is boring at all. We've got it better than everyone in almost every aspect, because of the nation we live in. Most people take that for granted too. Well I've done more talking than I expected, and probably needed, so I'll hush up on the subject for now. *looks around and realizes everyone is *

Glok'tur
Heh.. the Netherlands. Where weed is legal, sex is legal at the age of 16 (including porn), and everyone's shoes are made of wood. Heh heh, I'm just teasing. You could say a lot of things about the USA. Warning: Glok'tur is very opinionated, and expressive. If you don't like what he has to say, feel free to ignore or discuss with him. He will oft jump from subject to subject, as in this post. And yes, he will often refer to himself in the 3rd person. Ahh, the US. Where you're expected to speak english, the shades of her people make a milky rainbow(which isn't a bad thing at all!), and our money is inflated 50% of it's actual value. (lol I don't know the last one for sure but I wouldn't be surprised.) Oh yeah, did I mention our last president thought he was the center of the universe, made a fool of himself, was immoral and "smoked weed but never inhaled." LoL....................... JUST SAY YOU SMOKED. He would have looked better being honest. I, Glok'tur (aka. Davatar, aaka. Steve King), have smoked weed collectively for 8 months of my lifetime. Do I regret it? No, it opened my eyes to the drug world and helped me realize it was not what I wanted to be doing, nor how I wanted to be living. Do I detest people who smoke pot? No, most of my friends mokesor da erbhor. (Heh heh) Many say that what he does relating to his personal life isn't an issue, when dealing with office. I disagree strongly. A man of such immorality, who is always self-serving in every situation, will *not* make good decisions for the nation. Everything about you is reflective of your entire nature. A dishonest man in the homestead, will be dishonest in his business. The best men, are decent and moral in all aspects of their life. If you ever run your own business, choose the honest employee over the dishonest, yet more credited one. (He may have worked in 3 jobs of similar stature as opposed to the honest man's 1, but how come he left them? Was he fired? Yes? No? If he quit them, why? Did he do something he might have been found out about?) There is no partiality to doing what's wrong, as opposed to what's right. Either you make good decisions, or bad ones. Most people who make bad ones don't even know they're bad, as my father has told me, sin makes you stupid. Does that mean we should reject people who don't do what's right? No, we should love them and help them. It's the only way to better the world. Anyway, I've got this discussion going in my head and if I continue to fan the flames of my mind it will turn into a "religious" post. (I hate that word, it's not a religion to me it's a relationship with God.) Alrighty, gonna shut up now. WOOHOO! SKULLCRUSHERS! ~Glok

Glok'tur
Weed doesn't help your concentration. Some people think they can't go to work or school without being stoned, that it helps them. Personally, I think most of them have issues they're trying to keep away. Most people's main issues are subconscious and they don't even realize they're there. It's the same kind of thing as people with horrible, traumatic experiences that can't remember they even happened for the longest time, because their brain blocked it out. Your brain will push away anything you are afraid of dealing with subconsciously, so most of the time you won't even realize that you have a fear of it. Everyone has a fear of failure, that's why we strive so hard to do our best, OR don't try at all. The people who excel accept the fact they might fail, and realize that failure doesn't have to be permanent. Most people use drugs as an escape, whether you believe me or not it's true. Is it an escape for everyone? No, almost everyone starts doing drugs out of curiosity or rebellion(whether against parents or society), but it easily turns into one. (I've been there, twice. Luckily I pulled out of it quickly.) But this is turning into another of Glok'turs long, opinionated posts! Skah! Me wil stub nuw. I love good discussions, but I don't know how the heads would feel about it on their boards. Atleast maybe not in this category. ~Glok

Glok'tur
I've never met anyone who claimed to "trip" off of weed. It does make some people incredibly disoriented. Most just become relaxed, lazy, and goofy. OH, and *everyone* gets the munchies. To trip you gotta do LSD or Shruumz. None of it is good for you though, on an emotional level if not physical. ~Glok

Martok
Posts on illegal drugs will not be tolerated in any of our forums. We love general discussions, nearly any and all types.... But I and the other Mods will not allow posts of drugs/porn/etc.. on the boards. What you do in your private life is... private. We do not judge anyone, yet we do not want it on the boards. Thanks
