Lord Ser Brightblade Posted June 19, 2002 Share Posted June 19, 2002 I think that it would be of great benifit to the guild if we could aquire some of these ancient smithy hammers especially those that grant 30 smithing skill or more. This way smiths may borrow them to craft their goods and then return them to those given the task of holding such an item. Of course those given the right to hold these rare items would need to be able to be on or available to pass the hammer on a very consistent basis. I suppose that the Senator of Trades and his Smithy Legate will need to investigate this option further. Again this is just a thought. Perhaps as rewards to the mining/smithing coilition colored forges and runic hammers can be offered to deserving individuals. As a guild we have a tremendous chance of completing some of the more difficult BOD's. Hephestos will once again begin tring to get smithing BOD's daily. When tailoring BOD's amke their appearance he will begin collecting those as well. Hopefully people are interested in this. I have around 20 or so 'crap' deeds that would only give me a sturdy shovel. I stopped making those.. waste of ingots. I have yet to encounter anything above a shadow deed. I personaly have an extended family of smiths and collect about 6 BOD's a day. 6 a day mind you, and the best I have mustered is a Copper Runic. These are insanly hard to come by, but sooooo worth it. If anyone needs to use a Dull Copper runic Just ask, I have several, and if anyone gets a SBOD for 20 exc Verite Chainmail, drop me a line, id give anything short of my tower to cash this one in. (Can we say agapite hammer? I knew we could ) We should communiticate more on this issue if we are to suceed, for where few suceed, many excel. I also have many other hammers in which I will freely put into the possession of Olympus(including an agapite:) I will try to get back to Olympus soon and send me pigeon to have someone take care of the valuables. It would be great if a script could be written to keep track of this stuff and update it. With tailoring BOD's coming out in the next week it would be useful for those as well. Who knows perhaps in time there will be BODs for Carpentry (Would be neat as hell i.e. livingroom sets, kitchen sets etc.) and Alchemy and Cooking. Anyone with such programming knowledge willing to undertake such an endeavor please post here. Maybe then we can get together with Bal and see if something can be worked out. Im sure I'm not the only one who had the thought "Who ever wanted something like a sturdy shovel?" I mean sure... the hammers would be great but being my miner is also a tinker these sturdy shovels and pickaxes are worthless... my GM smith finds it an insult to be asked to fill such lowely deeds especially when he sells them only the finest quality of elven goods. You'd think they could at least cut out the worthless ones for the GM smiths even if it did mean you'd have to sell more to the vendors before they offered, but that's just my thought on the issue.
