  1. Bubhosh, Rhoach

    No, seriously, bubhosh.

I was definitely with you in spirit.

Was sidelined with lack of ram, too laggy to join. Kept whispering Huato to tell me how it was going in there.

Had a blast doing AV with you the previous week, and thursday seems to becoming my only wow night. So, now have decide what to do with my precious few hours--join with Rhoach's BG or level??

I encourage all the crushers (51+) to join in with Rhoach's Carnage :)

It's a good time for sure.

  2. Once revenge lights up revenge your mob. Now start building aggro on mobs 2 and three and stop hitting mob one. Your dps should kick in at this point, all on mob 1.

Kaer, put this to the test last night, and I think your quote above, really helped the most. Waiting for the mob to turn to me was my problem, instead of trusting the dps to build up.

Many thanks. Hopefully the days of tanking-hellish-nightmares-from-hell-instances, are behind me. Cause every instance was hell for me.

Much better now. Had my group make a macro on the spot to /assist MA, that helped too.

  3. I have a lot of experiance doing this, so Ill weigh in here.

Your job as MT is to make everyone beating on you. Ideally, this means that you wont hav eto move however thats not always possible. You should be attacking every mob in a given pull to spread your aggro out.

In an average pull for instance :

    Bloodrage

Shield block / revenge target one, hit a few times, maybe shield bash.

When revenge lights up again, revenge mob two, then start hitting mob 3. Shield bash mob 2.

If mob 1 gets away from you due to DPS you then taunt that off and back to you (only use taunt to regain aggro -never to build it).

The reason MA doesnt peel is because then the DPS would move to that target. You want the MA focused on one target till it dies, no exception (This is to keep all the dps constant and not helter skelter). As MT your target will likely be changing every 4 seconds in a multi pull.

This goes out the window in MC Type places of course, where basically you tank A mob and hope you dont die

    thanks Kaer,

    The scenerio is

I pull, 3 mobs on me, 2 others go around after casters, 3 mobs trail me as i whack on #4, whackx3, get mob4, work on 5, mob 1 is laying into the rogue, got 5, go to 1, I get healed, 2 peels for priest, run to 2, lose 3 etc. etc.

It seems as though, I can NOT gain agro AND absorb damage for the group at the same time. While I am running around, the rogue is getting beat on because he is on one mob and doing dps. Still need clarification on this.

  4. quote from AC group roles:

"MA (Main Assist) - This person is the focal point for the group's firepower. Everyone should be targetting the same mob, always. That mob should be THIS person's target."

And the MT is running around franticly "trying" to get agro? Doesn't that then make the MA the tank?

Suddenly it makes sense that the MT should NOT run around, rather stick on the pulled mob, do his shouts on the others, but concentrate on one mob, leaving the DPS dealer to manage any peels and the tank to keep an eye on the DPS dealer's health, to step in if needed.

Let me know if I'm missing something. So far, following the posted model has not worked in my experiences.

  5. A question on group roles:

Who's responsibility is it to pick up the mob peeling on the priest?? MT holds agro, does that include the peel? MA is dps dealer, would be quicker for him to get agro, but he's directing the dps of the team, everyone's assisting him. I honestly don't know/can't find/unable to deduce the answer to this.

    thanks in advance

  6. Yeah, can relate. Gave up BG's after several attempts trying to get in. 5hrs wait and 0 bg runs. This, after installing more ram and finally getting DSL hooked up! :D

I'll try and help, hopefully after a few levels are gained. I'm too low on the totem now. Rhoach suggested to form up a raid first then enter. We could prob use the AC to do this.

  7. In my non-clan-representational opinion. I value role play, that's why i'm in THIS clan. If your character is dysfunctional, so be it, let it be dealt with in a roleplay scenerio. Go nuts on the liance. I see no reason to hamper anyone's RP experience anymore than it already is. :innocent:

  8. Part II

Krange, captain and chief of the Zoram Guard, ruled the secluded Zoram Gar outpost. His face criss-crossed with scars from 20 seasons of service. Although established by Thrall, the outpost neither received nor expected any support from Orgrimmar over the long years. Members of the Guard were born and raised at the outpost. At the Zoram Gar, Krange’s word was law.

Being on the edge of elflands, Zoram Gar was forever plagued by elven onslaughts. Defense against them was the outpost’s top priority. Krange’s contempt of the elves grew steadily over his 20 years. His hate of the elves began to shape all his policies over time. Looking out over the battlements, year after year, Krange would observe and compensate for what he saw and hated. Whatever an elf did, Krange hated.

Elves wore bright colored clothing—then the guard would coat theirs with soot. They had long flowing hair—then the guard would forever shave their heads. Even the use of bows, necessary, for the lack of guns at the outpost, were deemed an insult to the orc made to use them.

Krange observed that elves often dual wield their weapons. Hence his command, his slogan, his phrase which sums up all his philosophy.

    DUB PAWS ASH SPLITT’R!

  9. Zilog and the Zoram Guard

The sun beat down on the sands at Zoram Strand. Gulls cawed in the distance as waves broke on the shore. A loud wood-against-wood thud is heard and a crowd of orcs jeer in response. Two combatants are faced off and shuffling in positon through uneven sandy footing.

“Knock off her head!” shouts an orc. “Put da panzy down, mon.” says a troll.

Jarmuul, a troll with exceptional size, swings at his opponent with his weapon—a former pine tree, complete with branches and needles. His target is a small, female orc outfitted with a short straight staff.

“Zilog go sleep nuw!” Jarmuul says, as he takes a wide swing at the orc. Once again his attack is deftly avoided and countered.

Captain Krange, accompanied by Corporal Gash, strides up to watch the match. He wanted to observe what he deemed to be his most peculiar recruit.

“Kum on, pushdog troll, end dis ting!” the crowd was impatient having watched this match go no where for so long.

“Dis lik watchin a crow fite a kodo.” The crowd laughed.

Just then, Zilog ducks under a swipe, rolls, and severs a branch from the log. Duel wielding the branch and the staff, Zilog pummels the troll’s hands, disarming him and with a quick blow to his head, sends him down to the sand.

The crowd begins cheering, but is soon silenced by the look on Krange’s face.

“Wut dis?” bellows Krange. “Dis liddul panzy orc, dishonors us!” He waves corporal Gash over. “Flog her til me say stop.”

    “Mark my wurds, everyash.

    DUB PAWS ASH SPLITT’R!

Zilog, confused, is hauled away to the flogging post.

  10. Its great. Two classes much undervalued in normal pvp , prot warriors and hunters, are extremely amazing in the ctf environment. I had a blast, got lots of kills, and am an amazing flag runner with shield wall and last stand.

This is very interesting to hear, being a 38 warrior, the BG "leader" :) often called "all warriors on defense." So, I have only ever played defense in 5 matches. It's still a blast though.

I have an idea to try a tactic where the whole raid camps near the middle of the map. Instead of one group inside and one outside.

  11. Ug my friends,

When you speak of rewords do you count medles and titles or any thing like that?  >??

Yes, see the awards on the roster page too. Medals for trade skill accomplishment, advancement in rank etc. are all likely.

Crushers have to drive this, not warchief. Warchief will just be the collection point. Crushers need to use the ingame mail to send Dabus about clan mates to Volonazra. So that, maybe someone who was noticed doing a little something by 1 crusher, actually was individually doing the same for 15 crushers--would deserve a much larger award. In that case, no one crusher would have the full picture, only the clan.

  12. Ug Great Chief,

I am interested in taking some leadership on it. I was an officer of a RPG for quite some tome and I was responsable for recrueting and guild events. If you are willing to put some trust into me I will do whatever you need done to take some of the weght off your shoulders.  :obiwan:

    OK, Gorock thanks,

I'll try to get with you in game, but if that does'nt happen:

You've read this post, any questions/suggestions? First task for you AND me is to get the word out, in-game. (me's a pushdog slacker). Just let em know bout dis.

Vol's post about members needing to sign up on the roster is very important and should be our responsibility to get our fellow clanmates signed up for reasons of awards too.
