  1. Webster's Dictionary defines Honor as: 1 a : good name or public esteem : REPUTATION b : a showing of usually merited respect : RECOGNITION <pay honor to our founder> 2 : PRIVILEGE 3 : a person of superior standing -- now used especially as a title for a holder of high office <if Your Honor please> 4 : one whose worth brings respect or fame : CREDIT <an honor to the profession> 8 a : a keen sense of ethical conduct : INTEGRITY b : one's word given as a guarantee of performance Reading the above definition, I can say it has been an Honor to meet and make new friends. It has been an Honor battling with those I consider my family. It has also been an Honor to serve with some of the finest people this realm or any other realm will ever find. It is with a profound sadness that I received a pigeon earlier this evening that the emperor had resigned due to being questioned at his every move. Anyone who truly knows this person that I speak of, knows without the shadow of a doubt that he IS an Honorable man and also one of Integrity. I support him 100% in his decision and in turn I also hereby resign my position as Senator of Espionage so that I may continue to Honor my friends, my family that I hold dear. Signed, Cyric Rallathil Citizen of Sosaria

  6. "Oh my aching bones!" Cyric muttered to himself, as he pulled his cloak closer around his face. "This forsaken weather has got to break soon!" The past few days had been a whirlwind of emotions with an equal mix of bad weather. He had been trailing an orc scouting party on the chance that they might lead him to his mother's captors or at least provide some clues in their nightly fireside camps. He had learned through Bly the lost name of his mother and her presumed where abouts. From that moment, he announced his absence of leave to the Emperor, packed his needed supplies, and disappeared in the dark of the night. Sensing the feeling that he too was being watched, he quickly scans the area again and then notices the reason of his worry. An elven messenger. "What is the messenger doing here?" Trying not to give himself away, Cyric makes a few gestures to motion the messenger to a safer spot with which to converse. Upon reaching the safer area, the messenger delivers the parchment from her pouch to Cyric's hands. "Aaye, Ta!" Cyric said to the messenger. "Sut eithel lle?" He asked. The messenger nodded her head. Cyric withdrew his attention from her face for a moment to read the parchment she had handed him. Thinking to himself where are my manners?, he motioned to the messenger to sit and eat a bit of elven bread. As he read the parchment his looks went ever darker. Oh this will not do at all he thought to himself. That silly barmaid does get herself into trouble doesn't she. Flipping the parchment over, he started to get ready to write, but was reminded of the weather from the sprinkles of rain that had once again begun to fall on his cloak. Grumbling, he looked at the messenger and told her to send a message back to the Decurion that Bly had mentioned she was supposed to have been travelling from Skara Brae to Britain where she was going to catch a ship bound for Buc's Den. Mayhaps it is Britain Jail where the lass can be found. The messenger stood up but before she could go, Cyric grabbed her arm. Send this message to the Head of State also, Bly is to be trusted, the information she has given me has lead me to orcs of the clan that has my mother, I will return as soon as I have located her and will send word if help is needed in securing her release. The messenger nodded again and this time was on her way as silently as she had arrived. Cyric watched until the messenger had vanished from his sight. "Now back to these damned Orcs" he thought to himself as he felt the anger swelling inside of him. "the time will come..... the time will come... " He pulled his cloak about his face again and disappeared into the trees.
  7. My prayers are yours m'friend!! get well soon!! Will be here if needed!!
  8. So here is a question perhaps that mayhaps Colin can ask of the UO Staff, they have proposed, and to my knowledge from what I have read from UO Stratics, are going to put on the test centers an increased scale of loot on high end critters and dungeon chests. Have they not forgotten the chests that we find at sea? The Loot on the these should, in my view, go up as well. A person works their butt off to get their respective fisherman / woman up to Gm level and for what? The loot has been miserable since the gm's nerfed fishing over 3 years ago. Yeah we get different colored nets now and scales from the sea serpies, and a chance to get ropes off of krackens..... yay! Anything you can do to put a bug in their ears is appreciated. Cyric

  10. From: Senator of Espionage, Cyric Rallathil To: Senator of War, Steel Darknight Britannia Date: February 21, 348 Subject: Savage Reconnaissance Report Greetings Senator, As requested a recon mission has been conducted upon the savage encampment located in central Ilshenar. I was accompanied by the Lady Jacqueline to the encampment. Upon our journey to the encampment we happened by a mining settlement to the southwest of Compassion Shrine in Ilshenar. While passing through the mining camp we saw a few Ratmen corpses. While traveling from the mining encampment we encountered a few dire wolves. A couple hits with weapons and they were easily dispatched. Upon reaching the outskirts of the Savage Encampment we encountered warriors on foot armed with dark colored spears. we tried to engage in conversation with them but to no avail. As we tried to get closer to the encampment they attacked us outright. As there name implies, they are savage in every respect. They speak a very primative tongue and smaer a whitish colored resin like substance over their bodies. They also wear whatever kind of bones they can find as a sort of armor. Theyhad no sense of battle tactics to speak of. No organized lines of battle. They chose instead to attack in mass numbers and from any direction they could. The foot warriors were dispatched with little resistance and as we made our way closer to the encampment we discovered 2 other types of soldiers. The first type was a calvary type of soldier. It appears that the savages have a type of warrior in their tribes that have mastered the art of animal taming and riding. They have captured ridgebacks from nearby and learned to ride them. Both the mounted warriors and the foot soldiers have learned the art of fencing and also how to use a bola type weapon to dismount their opponents. The other type of warrior we encountered as we drew closer to the camp was the Savage Shaman. These warriors, looked like their brtheren in appearance but instead of wearing masks and wielding spears, they wore the heads of fallen great harts and weilded the art of magic. For a skilled warrior, one savage shaman should not be too much to deal with. But throw in 1 or 2 more and now you have a battle on your hands. They have the ability to rapidly heal themsleves and other shamans in the area making them a formidable force. We dealt with several of these groups of mages and "riders" and on a couple occasions, had to pull back and regroup. Once we finally made it to the center of the camp, we found only 4-6 huts made of bamboo surrounding a central fire pit. We did not stay long so as not to encur the wrath of the natives. I have reported to the Emperor on this matter and he has suggested another recon mission to this race. I concur with his decision. This race should have another mission conducted to it to make sure of thier intent and/or threat to the citizens of Britannia that we are sworn to serve and protect. I will await further instructions and/or requests from the Emperor or yourself in this matter. Signed, Cyric Rallathil Senator of Espionage Strength and Honor
  11. Catching the motion of Bly's approaching steps, Cyric puts his hand up to stop Bly in her tracks. He looks at Hudson with his head lowered as his dark cloak begins to flutter from the breeze floating through the establishment from the thunderstorm that is now raging outside. Cyric raises his head a lil more so that Hudson is able to see the features of his shadowy face. Hudson notices something on Cyric's face that he has never seen before. Though Cyric has always been quiet, there is a silence in his eyes that disturbs Hudson. "I have not spoken with but a few of what I am about to tell you Dear friend" he tells Hudson. "You know of my lineage. I am of Half Elf descent. My father was a human, my mother an elf. My Father was killed tryin to protect my Mother, my sister, and I from an Orcish horde that swept into our village when i was young. You know of my sister. Her name is Summer. I was named after my Father Cyric and inherited my mother's last name of Rallathil. I, like my sister, were outcasts in both worlds. We were banished from what was left of the village after the Orc horde swept through. That was the last of the Orcs we saw, or so we thought. We thought wrong. Our mother hid us, tryin to protect us as our father had died trying to. She tried to fend off the Orcs as best she could, but the sheer number of the orcs in this "mop-up" party were too many. She was taken captive. Summer and I remained hidden in the darkness. Darkness gave way to light and not hearing any more sounds of weapons clashing and guttering sounds of orcish war cries, we made our way out from our hiding spot. We used all techniques of survival and evasion that we had learned from our mother to make it to civilization and from there we journeyed until we met our uncle Rasputin. He took us in and treated us as if we were his own kids. Upon taking this Position as Senator, I have vowed to use my skills to obtain information that will help the "Empire" to protect citizens so they would not fall into the same circumstances that my sister and I had been dealt. But by accepting the position, I have not forgotten my other priority: I will find my mother or her remains. Information to help the Empire is priority Hudson, but if information of my mother's whereabouts can be secured, i will pay any price and use any honorable means to get it. Hudson sat back in his chair for a brief moment almost dumbfounded. He leaned into Cyric to get a closer view of Cyric's face once again. This time he saw not the silent stare but this time a fiery gaze. "Worry not Senator, we will do what we can to help you on your quest. But first let us see what she may know and if it is reliable." Cyric nods his head to Hudson "Agreed, as you wish my Brother. For now........" Hudson once again motioned to Bly to proceed back towards the table. "Come, Bly, tell us your information."

  14. From: Senator of Espionage, Cyric Rallathil To: Senator of War, Steel Darknight Britannia Date: Jan 21, 348 Subject: Juka Recon Report Hail and Greetings Senator: As per your request a recon mission has been conducted against the race of the Jukas at the Dungeon of Wrong. On this mission, my kin, Mephistopheles, was accompanied by Kaatya and Rhaddyn. We explored two levels within the halls of the Juka confines. The area was found to be very cluttered and unkempt. It was earily lit with redish hued lights. We encountered very little resistance in the main hall as we entered. In this hall were mainly Juka Warriors. 1 or 2 here and there. They were very skilled in combat but seemed only intent on expelling us from their immediate vecinity of occupation. As we journeyed from the main corridor to the east, we encountered more warriors. On top of this we also encountered juka mages and Juka Lords. The mages and warriors seemed intent only to serve their "masters" will; The Juka Lords. They were intent on dying if necessary to prove their loyalty and honor their Lord. The Lords seemed intent only on quenching their thirst for blood and combat. The Lords are very skilled with the art and tactics of war and were found to possess a very tuned skill with the bow. Through team work, our party of three were able to kill a few of these tough adversaries. It seemed to be easier to defeat our foes if they had diversions to contend with i.e. energy vortexes, summoned demons, vengeful spirits, summoned elementals. With Kaatya's finely tuned accuracy and skill with the bow and diversions in place, the juka lords, warriors, and mages felt the sting of many flights of arrows. We recovered a few special bows that we found on the Lords and with Kaatya's kin Ethan, the bows were converted into usable bows of slayer quality. After spending the better part of an hour in the area east of the main entrance, we doubled back to the west and checked out the new surroundings. In this area we encountered Evil Arcane mages, more juka warriors, and Golems. This time although we did not have the Lords to deal with, the arcane mages possess a power equal to that of an adept mage and the Golems pack one powerful punch that can stun a person into paralysis making them even more vulnerable. We stayed in this location approximately 20 minutes. We decided to once again double back to the main entrance. Within the main entrance we discovered portals which took us lower into the bowels of the juka confines. We encountered many traps in this new area. We were in a hallway running east to west and had a stairway leading to our North. We followed the hallway to the north and ran into a room occupied by more Juka Lords, mages, and warriors. We employed the tactics that we found had worked earlier to defeat our foes. We journeyed back to our point of arrival on this level and then followed the hallway east. We encountered a great room and once again we found ourselves dealing with juka warriors and arcane mages. After defeating our enemies, we travelled west beyond the intesection with the northern hallway until we came into a large room with 3 rooms that had cell doors on the hinges, we noticed 3 levers on the walls and pulled them. Nothing seemed to happen in our immediate room. In this room we found juka warriors and brigands. Could this be a type of alliance? There were signs that the brigands were just as intent as the juka warriors were at gettin rid of us. We stayed here for apporximately 30 minutes and then we departed. In conclusion, I evaluate that the jukas are formiddable opponents but do not seem to have any desire to leave their confines in Wrong. They only seem to defend what they believe to be theirs' and just want to be left alone. Signed, Cyric Rallathil Senator of Espionage
  15. The air is damp and cool in his room of stone walls. There is no light save the 3 candles burning from the lone candelabra on the corner of his desk. Ah, yes, he likes it this way. Dark, silent, and still. What better way to think? He looks at the mess of maps and tattered parchments on his desk. Trying to concentrate to put all in order from the most recent reconnaissance mission conducted against the juka race. Suddenly, the silence is broken. A messenger stands in the archway to his chambers with yet another parchment in hand. This one seems different though. Cyric detects a sense of urgency from this messenger. Cyric thanks the messenger for delivering the parchment to him and slips a few coins for his work. Sifting through the message written on the parchment, a wry smile passes upon Cyric's lips and a look of desire upon his face. Could it be true? Another source of information? Perhaps another agent of the shadows? Cyric decides it is time for him to have a first hand look at this barmaid. He gathers his supplies, his cloak, his etheral figurine, and without making a sound slips into the shadows of the darkness of the night on his way to Skara Brae. Fear not Decurion. You soon will not be alone...........
