  1. What a shame, really! None of that stuff is really a game-changer. Make a 24 hours cooldown to a 20... really ? That is without saying that almost everything costs credits (millions of credits!). I mean sure it's "fairly" easy to make credits in this game, but are they trying to make this game a farm-game? I'm honestly disapointed with end-game content, they're asking people to just re-do the same missions everyday (daily) once you hit level 50, or grind PvP zones. Best way to still have fun is to roll an alt, but you face the same problem once you reach level 50 with that one too. I can't wait for them to make the space part of the game much more exciting. I remember in SWG that's what kept me going when I reached cap level. Space was an entire game by itself, with PvP, customization, crafting professions, missions, and etc. Hell, you could even go inside other people's ship, mine, be a gunner or just make a huge space yacth party! I kinda wish they made a SWG space game. Not gonna happen I guess This game will fall in the "will probably be a good game if they fix this and that." category. I'll probably unsub and track the game's progress, and come back in a year or so, when they have added some new features. I can already forsee this game going F2P in a year or two, once they aren't able to keep people excited about it. Right now I feel ripped off to pay $15 a month, waiting for new content to be added. (Supposedly they have over 200 employees actively working on the game.) This game is not taking enough from previous SWTOR games, and the Mass Effect franchise. 2 games that are highly polished (from Bioware, too!) One looks beautiful graphically, while the other adds so much costumization options, such as costumizing your companion's powers and such. Anyway, I'll stop complaining!
  2. Oops, I posted this also in Vigilance's Forums! Delete it if you want Really not happy about Juggernauts changes. Looks like they kinda nerfed everyone a bit in order to make it harder, I guess ? This game is going downhill It's sad. As for healers they nerfed their healing, but added revive ? LOL. So they are saying: heal less, die more, rez more.
  3. Hello Vigilance! I have been away for quite a while, partly because of a busy life, but also due to a lack of interest in SWTOR, which is already growing old. (Mass Effect 3 got me busy too ) I was awaiting patch 1.2 to see if they would be able to inject some more life in this game. I am pleased to see that many cool new features are coming, and many guild ones too! I will definetly come check it out ASAP, and I'll play a bit around with you guys. I do miss you guys, and the only reason I don't go "berserk-uninstall-unsubscribe" is probably this guild So here it is, a very long patch note, worth reading though! http://www.swtor.com/patchnotes/1.2.0s/public-test-game-update-1.2 Some notable features (I might have forgotten some!) Players can now unlock a wide variety of rewards by leveling characters and reaching new Legacy levels, including buffs for your characters, unlocking additional Species choices for every class, and upgrades for your personal Starship. Build your own Legacy with the new Family Tree! Novare Coast, a new objective-oriented Warzone on the planet Denova, has been added to the game. This Warzone, like Huttball, supports same-faction matches if there are not enough members of the opposing faction to be found. New repeatable high-level daily missions are available in a new area on Corellia, the Black Hole! Guilds now have access to a shared Guild Bank, accessible on the Fleets, with expandable storage. Players can now customize their User Interface by moving and resizing UI elements! The Imperial Transportation Authority and the Galactic Republic Safety Council have authorized the use of vehicles in Orbital Space Stations and Spaceports. A new preference, "Character Texture Atlasing," is now available. Enabling this option increases the texture quality used when rendering character models. The Sprint ability is now available at level 1. As a result of game balance efforts, many classes have had their skill tree layouts modified. Affected characters will have their skill points refunded on login. C2-N2 and 2V-R8 have been reprimanded and now vocalize less frequently on personal starships. Companions now use accurate voice responses regarding the success or failure of their Crew Missions when they return. Players may now reverse engineer many endgame items to research schematics for items and mods. Tier 2 (new) endgame items can be reverse engineered, and players have a chance to learn how to craft these items up on reverse engineering them. Set Armorings do not provide schematics for crafters. Tauntaun vanity pets can now be acquired on the planet Hoth, though the exact means of acquisition are a mystery. The Galactic Trade Network's commission for both neutral and faction-based terminals is now 6%. Players can now remove Armoring modifications from items with set bonuses and transfer those set bonuses to Custom (orange) items. These modifications can only be transferred to an item that is equipped in the same slot. License costs for Vehicle Piloting rank 1, 2, and 3 have been reduced. There are several more, but these are the ones I found that could impact gameplay the most. That and many of the classes abilities have been changed (be sure to check them out) and might change some gameplay elements. For example the Grav Round on troopers now has a 2 seconds cooldown, so no more spams. They did balance by making their AoE activate quicker. These are minor tweaks, but hopefully they will add to the experience. I must say also that I am very disapointed that instead of adding threat generation abilities (aside from Crushing Blow) for Juggernauts, they actually added a threat reducing ability (WTF?!). Anywayz, i'll see you all soon! Getting excited by this update, hopefully it will live up to its excitment! Iriko
  4. Sorry for the past week (or 2 weeks) I gave no sign of life. I am in over my head with university applications. Finally done with all that crap, and I should have extra time to play. Count me out for this week though. I might actually have extra extra time, since montreal colleges are probably going on an unlimited general strike. (Which means more time for SWTOR. ) Can't wait to play with y'all!
  5. Negative for today's run, there is a very slight chance I might be able to make it, but don't count on me. Although, I will be active this weekend, and next Tuesday, too. See you all ASAP and good luck tonight if I can't make it!
  6. Alright, I'll clear things up here. I'll just say yesterday was a misunderstanding. I was there right at 8pm. I ran from school, ate as fast as I could, even ditched my girlfriend, just to learn that I was "too late". Frustrating, but it was my own fault, and I'm not blaming anyone else. Ascoli offered me his spot, and I thank him for that, because it was a very gentlemanlike move, but I declined, because I started my own Eternity Vault with some other guys. Now, I will say this once, but I have to put my life way before playing video games. If you didn't already noticed I went from playing 8 hours a day to basically 4 hours a week. These are tough times, and I must say that playing on Tuesdays with you guys is a lot of fun, and every weeks I look forward to that moment. On Tuesdays my schedule is tight with the event, I will try to make it on time, but it's not always that easy. When I can't, I clearly let you know, as I did in the past weeks. I do make sure to post if I can't make it. If I haven't posted it's because I plan to be there. Finally, I won't be there on Thursday, and probably neither on next Tuesday (Valentine Day, heh). But I'll try and show up some more when I have free time. As I said, it's tough times, and I do all I can to make it all work together.
  7. Iriko not available this Thursday! Sorry, we'll roll them up next Tuesday! Good luck guys!

  9. THAT was just EPIC! I laughed out loud in my house hahaha. The part with the bare chest mercenary dancing was just hilarious!
  10. Ok here's how I see it. We should have scheduled times where 4 of us play at once. We'd have to roll a balanced group, and balanced crafting classes that would complement each others. The toons we'd make would only be playable when all 4 of us are playing at the same time. (to prevent someone 20 levels above the rest). We'd also need teamspeak I guess to make it even easier. The groups could go as follow: Juggernaut - Tank Sorcerer - Heals/CC Mercenary - DPS/Heals Sniper/Marauder - DPS OR Powertech - Tank Operative - Heals/CC Assassin - DPS/CC/Off-Tank Sniper/Marauder - DPS I prefer the first group, of course. We could have one Cybertech, one Artifice, one Biochem, and one Armstech This is of course my way of seeing it! I'd be willing to run a Sniper or Assassin or Sorcerer personally!
  11. Alright, is the Thursday run this Thursday ? (January 26th) If this is the case, I won't be able to make it (school works again.) I will make it for the future though, I just have to re-work my schedule so I am free on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our first run was a blast (at least for the part I was present), and I am definetly excited for the next runs. As I mentionned, school just started over, so I guess these raids will pretty much be my only time playing SWTOR for the next month or so. Really looking forward to it! For the Empire!
  12. Alright, so I found these sweeeet vids showing some secret stuff hidden in the game. One is a +10 to all stats datacron, the other is a purple lightsaber crystal. They both recquire a bit of fighting and teamwork, so instead of asking strangers, i'm going to make some sort of "event" with you guys. We can run this multiple times if we have more than 3 people interested, or even run them togheter at once. So if you are interested, please say so, and please specify which time/date during the week would suit you best. Remember, these are reserved for lvl 50s. Purple Shard +10 to all stats Let's doooooo this!
  13. I guess i'll join, but i'm tank spec'ed at the moment... (Sith Juggernaut - Immortal). If you go for 16, i'll gladly tank, and I might respec if you really need an additional DPS (For example you have 7/8 or 6/8 and you need one more)
  14. I see, well... time to use a different companion! I'm lucky my Malavai Quinn is a better healer than some healers out there, AND he also heals my other teammates. So let's say I team up with someone else + his companion, Quinn will heal me, my teammate AND his companion. Good pet. *pets Malavai on the head*
  15. Check in abilities, the companion tab. There is a way to change stances, make her in healing stances. Once that is done, you have to keep aggro from her. For example my Malavai Quinn's heals are interruptible, so I have to take all aggro, and he will be dedicated to healing me. When i'm fully healed or his healing abilites are all used, he will use some attacks, mainly his CC attacks (which is freezing enemies). So as long as he doesn't get attacked, he is the best healer. Also improving cunning (I think!) it increases his/her healing attacks. Hope that helps.
  16. I agree, but I find it stupid that we have to wait until level 50 to actually play the game as a group? We should get 4 people together and play for some nights and have the best team ever hehe, the "dream team". I did that in City of Heroes with a guild, when someone had to leave, everyone stopped playing with their toons, so we would all be the same level at any time. Would be hard with class quests, though.
  17. I totally agree with the following statement. I soloed the entire game, leaving all the heroic quest/flashpoints for last and doing them all at once with a group. I feel this is wrong, and I feel obliged to do some quests, or otherwise I would be falling behind in levels, and in loot items. I also forgot to mention I went Immortal Juggernaut, totally Dark Side (I think I am somewhere in Tier 4). I started an alt called Breeno, which is a healing Operative, with slicing (to gather money for Iriko). I can solo elites too, but it takes me a while since I deal little damage. This is the reason why I use my healing companion (Quinn). (That last sentence was for you Robnar haha )
  18. I'm mixed about datacrons, in a way it is nice that they are hard to get, but in another way, some are almost impossible. I guess we'll need to group up to find them all
  19. Hey everyone, So I thought it would be interesting to get some news about everyone in the guild about what you guys feel about the game, about your characters, about others, and your general impressions about the game. It can be short, it can be long, I just want to know how everyone feels in general, also helps to get to know everyone and learn a bit more about how you play the game. Feel free to ask questions too, I want this to be an open discussion. I'll start with myself, Iriko. So far I am a level 35 Sith Juggernaut, and enjoying it a lot. My main idea by building this toon was to become a defensive tank, and I am quite succesful as of now. I certainly make a lot of mistakes since I never tanked before, but I do slowly get the hang of it. Leveling is quite easy, and sometimes I feel like it is a bit fast, but I like it. Every quest is rewarding in its own way. My main issue so far is that everything is expensive, and there are not a lot of income sources other than actually playing the game and earning quest bonuses or kill enemies. This is probably mainly due to the young economy in the game, but I feel like it is hard to be succesful as a crafter. I am synthweaving, almost 300 points in, and I did some calculations, and crafting items costs more than the actual price you can sell them to. Sometimes you will need 3-4 missions worth 400 to 1000 credits, and sell the final product for less than the price you paid to craft it. It's also hard to really calculate the price on anything since there is no reference points, and ressources gathering is an inexact science. My second issue with the game, and I persist in saying it to everyone, but the space part of this game is a total mess that needs to be removed. It is boring, expensive, pointless, and flawed in so many ways. For those who have played SWG, we all know that SWG's space was an entire game in itself. I really really hope they make space combat free froam, make parts for ships unique and lootable from enemies, ships customizable/changeable, space PvP, mannable turrets for ships like the Ebon Hawk, and the ability to place items in your ship (and others to be able to walk into your ship). Hopefully they will listen to fans. I am also very happy with crafting, and I wish we could share between guildies what we created. I already crafted some stuff for guildies, and I'd be willing to craft some more for anyone in need. I also must give a big shoutout to Syban who gave me 40k to buy a speeder. I didn't forget and I'll re-pay you I haven't played PvP so far, but I probably will try it sooner or later. I am also happy with the guild, which is filled with interesting dedicated people, and good players. I am not much of an RP'er but that's because I never was initiated to it. (Learning slowly) I'll see you in game! PS: I will be absent from december 25th to january 1rst, for the holidays, and I wish you all a merry christmas and a happy new year!
  20. Hey guys, I just found out this website, and so far it is the most detailed one I have found. If you aren't sure with the written directions, go ahead and look at the video. No music added or random comments from a twelve years old. Have fun, and good datacron hunting! (All the planets are listed under the "DATACRONS" tab) For those who ignore what datacrons are: They are little cubes scattered around planets (approx. 4-5 on each planets) which will give you a small, but permanent bonus to your stats. They go by colors, for example the red one will give +2 strength. They will often be placed in hard to reach locations, or in Heroic Areas (so they are a pain to get). Some of them also contain shard pieces, which when brought togheter at the matrix of something on koribaan, will create artifacts. (Notice the artifacts slots on your character sheet). Artifacts can be created, or bought from the light/dark side vendors on the Imperial/Republic Fleet. Artifacts give you a bonus in stats, and I believe an ability, too. http://www.swtor-holo.net/swtor-datacron-locations.html
  21. Hey, I joined the guild but I wasn't accepted on time to join the "pre-launch" guild. Can I still guild up with you once in-game ?
  22. The code is in your e-mail box, with your invoice of the game. If you deleted it, it's too late I guess! Have fun!
  23. Guys, they sent you a pre-order code that you have to redeem. You WILL be able to play early-access, even if you don't have the physical copy of the game. Although, you will have to download it from the launcher. It is around 13-14GB, so be prepared. If you didn't send your code yet do it immediately because it starts on December 15th.
  24. I ordered about 2 hours after they made it public, which I believe is July 22nd or something. Yet, I didn't receive any invites. I only got the regular edition. On a side note, Call of Duty MW3 sold for $1 Billion US in only 16 days, which is pure madness for a game that has been copy-pasted from MW2. I'm just sayin'!
