It can be a problem sometimes. For example if you get the missions to kill 10 Circle of Thorns in King's Row, it can take a little while to find them. They seem to be a fairly rare spawn, and usually only spawn on rooftops there. On the whole, however, finding evil to fight is never a problem. Currently if a zone is getting overly populated with heroes, another instance of the zone will become available.

Thanks to being stuck late at work, I only managed to take part in the invasion defense for about 30 minutes. I just wanted to chime in here and say that it was very cool. I had probably 100 heroes on my screen at once and the game was playabe. Pretty amazing to compare this to shadowbane, a game created from the beginning to be able to handle large scale sieges. This was 20x was better.

Hiya Hoth, The pre-release went very smoothly. We didn't get to play as much as we would have liked (darn kids), but we had fun and made it to level 7 or 8. I expect the official release to go very smoothly. I am playing as Dark Kestrel and Jagleh is playing as Dark Osprey. We are planning to form a supergroup, but it will probably stay pretty small. I would certainly welcome teaming with you guys even if we aren't in the same super group. I look forward to seeing you all in game.

Agreed. Hard to find time for much of anything lately. Work is nuts right now, and it looks like it will continue to be for at least another month or two. I know I will find some time for CoH and keeping tabs on how WoW Beta is going as well though.

I am not opposed to playing on Virtue. My experience with unofficial roleplaying servers has not been great, but I am certainly willing to give it a shot. It looks like our reserved names will be across all servers for a couple of weeks, so as long as we make a decision reasonable soon at least I will have my preferred name.

Cool. It looks like we have a few people interested in playing. I am leaning towards Liberty as our claimed server. Any objections? My main is going to be a Dark Melee/Regen Scrapper and Jagleh is planning to play a Dark/Dark Defender. We have tried out a few combos now, and we really like how these two play together. Plus, the Dark Magic origin is nice and full of character.

Hi guys, Jalgeh and I are in the beta and let me just confirm that this game is a lot of fun. As a lifelong comic book collector it is a dream come true for me to be able to create and play my own superhero. It is true that there is a levelling element to advancing your character and gaining new powers, but for me the combat and missions are so fun that it doesn't feel like a treadmill at all (more like a backpacking trip in the Sierra Nevada's). The AI on the badguys is the best I have seen yet in a MOG (by far). Also, it is the most three dimensional world I have ever interacted with in a game. They didn't just put things like flying and superleap into the game as an afterthought, the zone design was all carefully done with 3-d in mind. Anyway, Jagleh and I will definitely be playing this game. Let me also say that the Beta has been remarkably stable. They have had 5000+ simulataneous users on a server, and while it was laggy, it was playable. There have certainly been server outages, but you can definitely see an improvement over time. 5 months is certainly sooner than I would have expected. Blizzard always takes a long time to do things.

I have preordered, but I am not in the beta yet. I am a big comic book fan, and my sons are really excited to get to make superheroes with me.

Tha Shadowbane server has been extremely unkind to me lately, so I got a chance to give Planetside a try. I had a great time! Lot's of fun vehicles and guns. The teamwork based gameplay is quite fun. -Maester Zemach
