  1. This is the first Official Report, of many to come, of the state of the realm and the advice of the Sage Cohort on how the Empire should interact with the rest of the realm. The information to be contained within these reports is simply a recommendation, but it is the belief of the Sage Cohort that it will be useful to the Empire. -- Issue 1: Orcish Concerns Recently our interaction with the Orcs has been re-awoken, and not totally negative. The Shadow Clan, the oldest and largest standing orcish clan inhabits the Orc Fort south of Yew and Necropolis. Over the ages these orcs have been generally hostile and standofish. Various good members of the realm have chosen to react in an equally hostile manner towards this group. It is however, my recommendation, that we find a new course of action. Currently the Empire does not fight directly with the Shadowclan, and therefore I believe peaceful relations can be formed. These relations will greatly benefit all involved. Currently, the ancient war between Undead and Orc has been re-kindled. Whether or not this war is still truly active is unknown. However, I believe it would greatly benefit the Empire to further invest in peace with the Orc clan, by offering some form fo support against the Undead. Though the orcs often have been a plague on many, the Undead are a greater threat. With the coming of the new realm, their ranks will produce countless wielders of the dark arts, and becoming an ever growing threat. They and there direct allies are a much more threatening force than the Shadowclan. It is my belief that a concentrated effort to fill the ranks of our orcish Cohort, would lead to closer interaction with the Clan, and a wise move in comabting the growing threat of the Dark Arts. This is all on this issue for now, but I recommend these words be taken as most valuable. -- Issue 2: Possible Allies and Friends My travels throughout the realm have taken me to encounter various peoples, many of whom share similar idelas to the Empire. Among them are certainly our current allies, however, two new groups, though not "new" in the sence of newly formed, have shown up on the horizon. The first: The Celts: These individuals, some of the very few native Sosarians left within a large organized group, have been around for a very long time. They exhibit countless displays of honor and valor, and have great personal experience and wisdom (great role players). It would greatly benefit the Empire to consider interacting with them. With the permission of the Empire I, as a Ancient Sage and a Governor for the EMpire will make contact with them via there Soul Boards. The second: The Numenorean Empire: The Numenoreans have been around for some time, howeve under other names. First organized as the Byzantine Empire, they grew from there. Currently growing in number, they exhibit shows of honor and valor worthy of the attention of the Empire. Also, amongst their ranks is currently an individual of great personal knowledge. Tymaron, once a Town Crier for the realm, serves them in a similar capacity to myself here in the Empire. Contact would be advised, and I can also aid in that contact with the permission of the Empire. -- Issue 3: Use of Trinsic The History of the Empire is great and rich, and much of that History and glory lies within the City of Honor, mother City to many of us: Trinsic. I myself shall begin the renovation and re-use of the City by holding future Sage Cohort meetings within the town hall of Trinsic. I recommend that the Legion make use of the Barracks area, and that a merchant be assigned to the Keg and Anchor. The Empires presence within our Mother City has been lacking for too long. No longer should she remain vacant. Allow your bussiness and lesiure to take place within Trinsic. If only for a simple bank run, or a gathering of Friends, our presence must be known in Trinsic. It is my vision that when the art of the Paladin is realized a Cohort of these holy warriors will be able to make us eof Paladin Isle within the City. Until then we should do our very best to fill the streets with our numbers. Myself and many of the elders members of this Empire did not fight for her freedom to see Trinsic remain barren. Please take the effort to use Trinsic. -- I thank you for your time, and this is the conclusion of the first Sagely Report. Thank you. And Heed the Words of Wisdom. Strider, Ancient Sage, Sage Cohort.
  2. Yes, as do I balandar. I felt kinda lost, haha, but the event was fun! Despite having my verite katana stolen by that PK/Thief Alak-dool. Btw, if you see Alak-dool or either of the Izzy's near the Fel Moongates, BEWARE they are thieves and good ones. I've had various reports from other guilds about there activities. They will fowllow you around from gate to gate, and area to area. But again, had much fun bouncing around with you all. I am amazed that you gain Valor from Mongbats.
  3. Attention all: I Strider of the Sage Cohort am currently planning the first ever Great Race. The race will begin in Felluca Honor Shrine, go from there to Yew, on to Minoc, to Trinsic and back to the Honor Shrine. Contestants in the race will not be allowed to use any magic travel of any kind, will be limited to basic armor and weapons, and a limited amount of healing means. There will be obstacles setup through out the race, including tamer lured monsters, PK's, and various random things. Also, use of Main Roads will not be allowed either. Your name and title will be recorded before the race and passed out to the various obstacles setup, and those watching moongates, roads, and such. You must remain on land, either on mount or foot. --- Currently I dont have prizes figured out so am hoping the guild can help me to come up with ideas for prizes. Any further ideas, of when and such, let me know. Thanks Strider.
  4. If you have any charges left, I could use a sword myself. Katana is fine, or anything really, other than axes, just a sword of some kind, viking and katana being my fav. *Smiles* If you can thanks alot. If not I understand and thanks so much for your generosity. Ancient Sage, Strider. Sage Cohort.
  5. This is indeed generous of Doddz, he provided a katana also for Maskan. For his generosity my house Miner will donate all his intake for the next few months to G-B. Thank you Doddz.
  6. In a time long ago, before the Age of Man, when the world was populated by Elves and those creatures of the Fae, the world was at peace. It is said the the Creator walked amongst the ELves and others, spreading magic and glory throughout. Among the elves was Nadrial, a princess. Fair and beautiful, and destined for great things. Her travels throughout the world, brought her into a realm untouched by even the Elves. The Fairy Wood as it was called, was a mysterious place, and soon its mystery would engulf Nadrial. --- W'y'tzyl'vyt, a strange creature, neither elf, nor man, but fae. A creature of magic, who lived between realms. Many of this day would compare him to a Wisp, but he was more. Oft times no more than pure energy and other times very real, very physical. This time, he was that, he was real and whole, and as he did pass from tree limb to cloud, to tree limb, he encountered great beauty. Looking down, he saw an elven woman, and her beuaty caught him off-guard. Never before had he looked upon the face of an elf, and he saw in her that which he lacked. A permenant link between Physical and Elemental. Her very being shone with great light, light of the Sprites themselves, yet she had a physical body all her own. --- And so it came that Nadrial looked up, and saw shining brightly, this glorious creature who she fell in love with... and so with their meeting Nadrial and W'y'tzyl'vyt, or Wytz as she would come to call him. Joined in holy union. And from their joining, would come a true link between their worlds... their son... Elwe Earendil. --- The sun shone brightly as young Elwe, only one hundred and ten years of age, listened to his tutors, as they taught him in the arts of Magic. The humans had come into being not long after his birth.. Still primitive, but a select few developing a thing they called Magic. To the Elves and his fathers people, this "magic" was second nature.. if not first.. But the humans had new ways of Harnessing it, for it did not flow through them as it did others. Elwe listened, but he knew he need not. He knew already what they would say, how the techniques would work. His master had already finished Elwe's training... but no one other than his father's father knew of this Master. -- Master was a kind soul.. with a human look to him, but far to glowing to be human. Elwe cared deply for master, and listened to everything he said, and watched everything he did. Travel was as simple as walking from one room to the other for Master, who could reach the ends of the earth and back again in a single breath. It was the ways of his Master Elwe would learn... to travel time... and space.. It was in this... in this learning that he would come to be a traveller... he would come to be what his master called.. A Strider. --- To be continued.
  7. Greetings. Once again I am presenting the Sage Cohort Idea. I apologize if I seem to be constantly bringing it up, but I am trying to ensure that it is brought to the attention of all who need to see it. First off, to clarify some issues. This idea sprang from an attempt to find a role play centered way to have relations between the Empire and The City of Wind. Wind being an entirely neutral group, and one that is TOTALLY rp, I worked with Thiork to come up with a totally original idea that could form the friendship. Winds mission is to seek out and to find knowledge, and share it and educate the masses. So, to sum it up the idea of my joining the Empire as a sort of advisor came up, and has grown from that into the idea of the Cohort. SO without further ramblings... here is the proposal! Sage Cohort Please REPLY here with any comments, suggestion, ideas, etc.. and my ICQ is 9066880. I look forward to working with you all on this idea. Thank you. (and to clarify a small note on that webpage, the Ancient Sage is shown with a blue cape and skull cap, and apron, and boots, that would be changed to PGoH Purple. Thanks)
