Not on my end gomer. I check regularily, unless I have no disk space on the server side. Since we have multiple's on THE emails. Others can use my other email address dwickie@cogeco.ca as that one doesn't skimp on file size.

I have mithril and the strong steel boxes. But I think 225 is needed (really want to get those open!). Too bad nobody ever sells them on the AH.

Aye I'm at 180 now. As such every sturdy junkbox and iron lockbox I pick gives me a skill-up. Which means that I can be at 225 with just 45 more lockpicks of these items, so if you come across any, send them to me. The sooner I get to 225 the sooner they're open >8]

We all try to obtain the guild tabard as soon as possible. I have an extra one in my bank that I'll happily give to you. As for the grovelling. Feel free to grove l away

To get to a high enough level to pick the good boxes i.e. Mithril and higher, there is a period for us Rogues that is very difficult to pick through. The best items that can assist us to achieve this level (for us it's from 175-225 lockpicking) is from Iron lockboxes or sturdy junk boxes. I'm not sure where the other Rogues in the clan are with respect to lockpicking, but this where I'm at. As such if you come across any sturdy junkboxes or iron lock boxes, send em our way as I can open them and get skill gain as well to get to a hgh enough level for the nice ones.

These kinds of issues have been all over the WoW forums lately. I've seen some successfully overturn the ruling. My opinion would be based on how attached you are to the name. If it's critical, fight for it. If it's of no consequence, I'd flip them a n ote with a list of alt names to change it to that you'd be happy with.

Although not to the extreme of a pvp server, I enjoy the pvp aspect as well. Especially at higher levels as there tends to be a better level balance available. I have started to roam with my pvp flag on recently when I'm not specifically out grinding or on specific quests. I've found that while you still run into the higher level morons interested in a quick kill, you also run into just as many or more that result in some fun rp and not neccedssarily even end in violence (although that's a more fun ending ). I find true combat with other real roleplayers so much more enjoyable than the pvp butchers.

I wasn't aware of this event. Probably because  I don't check the hordecraft forums (insert sheepish grin here). Could someone link big events on the hordecraft board on our board for those who only check these forums?

p.s. I resent the word olog being substituted for ugly.

They are posted on these forums. Due to the nature of Raids so enemy factions are not aware they are published under our SoC members forum which is password protected to only SoC members. As such if you read that forum you would see the postings there

I have been inside once....aye and while we all died at the very last doorway...it was very good fun.....nice cash flow and it does have good 30s drops and lower 40s.

(key is to STAY ALONG OUTSIDE WALLS of the main rooms)

I'll probably be on after 10 (EST) tonight. If enough of us are kicking around we can take a look. I'm not going to try and get a firm schedule for this as we have a disparity of levels that won't find it so interesting, but if enough of us similar levelled and similar minded are on we can take a run at it (or several runs )

I'd like to arrange a group interested in going into the Scarlet Monastery. Level 35 and up is best as they can obtain the quests from the Undercity (also to avoid getting group bashed). I personally have never been in yet as I'm just about to hit 35, but from everything I've read it's an entertaining instance. Also has some good potential drops.

If anyone else would be interested let me know as I'd prefer to do this sort of thing with clanmates versus strangers.

Interesting experiment. It will be interesting to see raw damage taken as a result. Regardless however, I know where ditching armor is not feasible from a standpoint of all the mods that comes with the armor. The + increase to the attributes i.e agility, strength etc... directly correlates to my characters ability to do damage to my target. A low agility for me as a Rogue would dramatically reduce my DPS making me far less effective in a fight. Perhaps they have AC set as a function of how often you are hit/absorb versus actual damage taken from a successful hit. Don't know, but interesting nonetheless.

I still have mine setup on my linux server at home wolf. What is your connection speed, that is the only thing that you need to worry about... that and opening the correct ports/etc.

It runs on a cable/DSL and in my area the provider has recently retrofit the lines so the connection speed is pretty solid

I may try and set up a SoC Teamspeak server on my secondary computer. Will see if I can get it running well enough. No promises, but will see if I can swing it. If so, I will set up password protection that will be limited to SOC members and will look very unfavorably upon those that would share access to it with others outside of SoC. Will keep you updated.
