  1. This is definitely the case now. I went and gave it a shot solo as well. The regular mobs i.e. skeletons and spiders are no issue, but the ghosts just wipe you out. I did get some progress when I lured skeletons into a ghosts room then died. When I came back in the skeleton fought the ghost and killed it for me. But that is not a regular method. I think they'll be tweaked. I saw on the forums that some had success using death ray on ghosts or something. I'm assuming magical ability but at this point I can't complete the Ravensmoor quest

  2. I will check this out. I have no idea how much I'd be able to play so if it comes down to a lottery for keys, choose someone that would know they could commit over me. Otherwise I'd be in

  3. Howdy folks. Just dropping by to say Hey. Looks like a vast majority of you are still giving it.

Nice to see. I like to troll now and again to see who's up to what. Who knows. Maybe one day I'll turn the gaming engines back on, but animation has taken over as my primary hobby for the last couple of years. Fun stuff.

Anyways. Nice to pop in and see so many of you still about.

    Cheers

  4. Vegas is my vote so far.

Yeah, but nobody asked you.... :tease:

I'd be up for pretty much anywhere. Being from Toronto (That's in Canada for those that aren't familiar with geography outside their county  ...I kid because I love) Travel anywhere in the States is a road trip.

You could throw Niagara Falls into the mix there too as it has Casino's, siteseeing, golf, funhouses, strip joints (errr.. um...I mean The Ballet), wax museums, wine country. etc...

  5. Unfortunate that his sould has been trapped in the body of a lesser creature and so far from civilized lands. Perhaps, we can destroy it's human host and release the trapped soul to return home.

Great to hear from you Kal - You know it's time for you to set up a Hordey with us on Argent Dawn.

  6. O.k aspiring screenwriters, listen up.

It's time to collectively create a Clan Skullcrusher theatrical trailer. Think of the WoW trailer intro movies and you'll know where I'm going with this. I want to do one for Clan Skullcrusher. All we need is a good storyboard. I have been dabbling with 3d animation software for the last year and now can put together proper high quality CG movies.

THIS SAMPLE LINK gives an idea of the stuff that we can do (This was one of my first test samples so they only get better).

I'd like to combine CG scenes with some in game footage attached to a voice over story arc that portrays the heart of what Clan Skullcrusher is.

I'd like it to be a collaborative effor, something we can all be proud of and something that makes anyone who sees it say "OMFG, You guys are the mashnitz"

But I need your help as I am not a script writer. No storyboard idea, script, scene visual is too off the wall. I've read some great individual stories from this group in the past. Help me visualize what it means to be a Crusher.

Like the WoW trailers, it will likely end up being a collection of scenes so even if you visualize a specific scene and apply commentary to it, we can ammalgomate ideas into a collective flowing trailer.

What say you all, break out the quills, throw down the gauntlet. Help create a piece of visual Skullcrusher lore that will last the ages!!!!

  7. While lurking on the boards, I get the sense that many people are out and about doing many different things, some for the content, some for the grind and some for just plain ole fun.

For those of you that do know me, I haven't been in game basically at all for the last little while as I've been working on some other hobbies and interests which brings me to my point.

Over the last several months, I've gotten involved with all kinds of fun software that revolves around animation and movie making. The Honor Empire and the guilds/clans within it, have always been a focal point and outlet for my creative side.

You know when you watch the trailers that Blizzard creates and you think to yourself how they motivate you and get the adrenaline level up?

Well I'd like to do something like that focussed strictly on Clan Skullcrusher. Essentially a full on animated trailer combining elements of in game footage and external cinematic animation.

This would be an ongoing project and not designed as a chore for, there will be no in game purpose aside from setting just the right scene or getting some off the wall footage, nor will there be any timeline.

I'm in the process of working on a storyboard for such a project, so you may see me popping in game at various times. Basically, I'm looking for anyone that would like to hang out with me when I am in game to try and accomplish this. I want the end result to be something truly spectacular, but at the same time I want the journey itself to be the best memory.

To get an idea of some of the tools available to me now, that would be integrated in this film. The video below is an example of a cinematic scene I put together, so the sky is quite literally the limit I think at this point. So if anyone has any ideas, feedback, creative opinions on what a Clan Skullcrusher Trailer, should entail, please feel free to speak up. As well, if you see me in game and feel like just hanging out and having some fun, drop me a line as this is likely what I'll be doing.

    Cheerio

  8. For those that find these things amusing an article for your pleasure:

We're pleased to announce that World of Warcraft will be one of the featured

games in this year's Championship Gaming Series (CGS) World Championship.

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade players on the European and North

American realms have the opportunity to secure a spot in the upcoming CGS

draft, to be held at BlizzCon. Players who are drafted onto CGS teams will

earn $30,000 - $100,000 or more annually in salaries and bonuses as

    professional gamers.

    Ladders

All teams participating in 2-vs.-2 Arena System matches in each battlegroup

will automatically be entered in the competition. The initial phase of the

tournament will last from June 19 to July 3, and players can check the

rankings by visiting the battlegroup ladder pages. The top five 2-vs.-2

teams in each battlegroup will be invited to the next round.

    Qualifiers

Following the end of the ladder phase of the tournament on July 3, the five

top-ranked teams from each battlegroup will be selected to participate in

the qualifiers, as discussed above. Each of these teams will be copied to a

private realm in the corresponding region (Europe and North America), where

they will compete with the other qualifying teams from that region's

battlegroups. The qualifier round will run from July 9 to July 17 and will

utilize the same ranking system as the ladders. At the end of the qualifier

round, the top 8 teams from Europe and North America will be chosen to

participate in the live CGS tournament at BlizzCon and subsequent draft.

    BlizzCon Tournament and CGS Draft

The top 16 teams from the qualifiers will be flown to BlizzCon to

participate in a two-day tournament to determine the best 2-vs.-2 Arena

teams in the world. The top 8 teams from Blizzcon will then be flown to the

CGS World Championship in Los Angeles, where they will compete for cash

prizes and immediately begin their careers as salaried pro gamers at CGS.

They will join 1 of 8 CGS teams following the 2008 Draft and then compete

professionally for their teams alongside team members who play a variety of

games, including World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade
