  1. See first post for updates, and I'll continue to update that. I will also add the name of the folks who donated and transmuted when we hit 100. We are planning a special gift for those people. Once again, thanks so much.

  2. Update:

I farmed all weekend. Essentially, my bank is almost completely empty from selling materials farmed and disenchanted.

On Friday I had 24 arcanite bars, with 5 arcane crystals, 29 total. As of today, I have 31 arcanite bars and 6 arcane crystals. The total tally is 37.

I will be heavily farming all week in order to buy more crystals. I know donating is difficult for some (everyone has goals like epic mounts and better gear, etc.) The problem is that they aren't always available on the AH to buy, so if you want to send COD and avoid the AH wait and charges, please do so. Thanks!

  3. We had a very good night last night. Besides the loot, we brought out the A-Team and I was most impressed with the amount of Flawless Victories we had (no deaths during a boss encounters). We had a near perfect fight against Barron Geddon, until Maube went and let us all down and died. She is such a party pooper! (*hugs Maube*).

The healing was amazing. Keep up the good work everyone.

As you all know, Garr dropped the final piece I needed for Thunderfury. I have all three pieces, and now only need to obtain the materials to complete this quest. It really is a legendary quest. http://www.thottbot.com/?i=40513

The requirements are 100 arcanite bars, and thanks to big donations by Smedlock and Vyss, plus my own stash, I have 30 arcanite bars. Also needed are 10 Elementium Ores, obtained in BWL and which are common drops.

    The quest popped up when I received the binding last night;

    Elementium Bar: 0/10

    Bindings of the Windseeker: 1/1

    Bindings of the Windseeker: 1/1

    Essence of the Firelord: 1/1

    To make an Elementium Bar:

    1 Elementium Ore

3 Elemental Flux (obtained at blacksmith shops)

    1 Fiery Core

    10 Arcanite Bars

No words can express my gratitude for the items I have recieved thus far. I hope I can continue to serve you all and through cooperation and support of each other, we can celebrate future victories. Thanks again!

    2) Maube - 15+ (alot)

    3) Vynn - 3

    4) Roh - 7

    5) Kazragerg/Zurash - 8

    1) Guild Bank - 10 (and I expect to pay dkp just like everyone else!!!!)

Gold to buy the Elementium Ore (this was the hardest part, no one wanted to sell except for alliance side):

    1) Marrania - 400g Loan (Loan repaid 11-30-06)

    2) Rhoach - 100g Loan (Loan repaid 10-31-06)

    3) Lomar - 50g gift

    Elementium Ore:

Special thanks to Chocoa for arranging the sale of the elementium ore. Long story short, he made an agreement with an alliance player who sold the elementium ore in small chunks. At the end of the sale, his guild was disappointed as they wanted more gold for the ore. He subsequently left the guild and told us no more would be available from him. We bought it for 160g each, but transaction fees are expensive and drove the costs higher.

Special thanks for the MC raid itself, for which I am most grateful and aware that this wouldn't be possible without every single member. There are many guilds stuck with just one binding and have been waiting for over a year to get the other half. I waited 3.5 months, and then a month to obtain the mats, so I realize how fortunate I was.

I hope I didn't forget anyone here. Please send me a pm if you have any questions or comments. I will answer any questions. The final step is to head to Silithus and summon Thunderaan himself, he is located at the NW corner of the map.

10/31 An old friend - Echodiah - from way back logged on (BlackFang Brotherhood). I asked him about smelting elementium and he linked his ability to do it. I now have 10 Elementium Bars! Off to Silithus to meet Thunderaan....

  4. A big concern for players who primarily play the warrior class is that they won't be replaced. Right now, warriors have only a very slight edge over feral druids with tanking gear...and that edge is merely stop-gap measures to prevent death, i.e. shield block, last stand, shield wall and also consumables.

Guilds that exclusively aim to do end-game dungeons and be the first are quick to determine what gives them the greatest advantages at competing and completing their objectives.

I experienced this first hand when I had a Shadowknight in EQ. While they had abilities that enabled them to dominate pvp, they lacked damage output over time in pve and really didn't have abilities that helped a raid. If another class could take that slot, a shadowknight would be the first to be removed.

Don't get me wrong, I want druids to have the ability to tank in a pinch. Nothing worse than not having a warrior available due to linkdead or no-shows, we don't want raids to have to absolutely require a warrior thereby allowing them to dominate that role. They should know that it's a privledge to be permitted into a group or raid.

Druids have a niche however; They are the jack of all trades, but masters of none.

  5. Stats on the Battlegear of Might

    +2000 to Pwning

    +1jillion Defense

    +5 to Cool Points

8/8 set bonus = Sunder Armor generates 225% more threat and makes your enemy fork over his lunch money.

The looting of Might will have the gear go directly to Alhazad, unless Alhazad already has the piece in question. In this event, the remaining warriors will fight (naked) with mining picks. Winner takes it.

    :)

Grats on the Eyes, guys. Hey, that rhymed...

You DO know that unless Baracko or Lomar zone in first, it's another six Months before the Domo drops his piece for the priests and Golemagg drops another Breastplate (just look at the last time it dropped). ;)

  6. I have received the ring and the cape. It doesn't matter if I get the hilt or not.

I received the manual HS 9 and Revenge, need the battle shout manual.

Buru's skull fragment is what I am most after.

  7. I am down for whatever. Although I would become the new Town Cryer - balling and crying would be heard throughout all of the lands if Buru's Skull Fragment drops and I lost the roll to a new person. However, I am happy with what I have.

Hmm..that town cryer sounds like a good idea. Been thinking about creating a character to perform events and give news in Orgrimar. Also, I have a huge collection of riddles, ones I worked on for months that I could give away prizes to the first person that answered them.

  8. Crik,

We are glad to hear things are going to be ok. We were worried for you last night, the mood was somber after you broke the news and had to leave. Best wishes to you and family.

  9. Agreed. The trick is to get him to 28% health prior to killing the second to last egg. The second to last egg will bring his health down to 20 - 21% health as he takes 40,000 damage per egg pop. The last egg is identified and everyone converges to it, including ranged, priests, hunters, etc.

The warriors crowd around it, and instead of executing the last egg, they save their rage, when the last egg pops, he is down to 14% health and within easy range of being killed within 30 seconds. Warriors wait for head to pop open, and in fury mode go into unbridled wrath (all hits are criticals). Now, since he is in execute range, each execute is a critical and will hold him there.

This was our best fight so far.

  10. We only have domo and rags.... or are you saying they reset the entire instance so we have to clear it again?

If it has to be cleared again, then lets see if we can have enough people to start as soon as we get enough people, possible 7:30 p.m. EST. I don't want anyone rushing home though, we can start anytime, simply letting people know now we may start a bit earlier.

  11. WARNING- BEER CONTAINS FEMALE HORMONES_WARNING

Last month, National University of Lesotho scientists released the results of a recent analysis that revealed the presence of female hormones in beer. Men should take a concerned look at their beer consumption. The theory is that beer contains female hormones (hops contain phytoestrogens) and that by drinking enough beer, men turn into women. To test the theory, 100 men drank 8 pints of beer each within a 1 hour period. It was then observed that 100% of the test subjects:

    1) argued over nothing.

    2) refused to apologize when obviously wrong.

    3) Gained weight.

    4) Talked excessively without making sense.

    5) Became overly emotional.

    6) Couldn't drive.

    7) Failed to think rationally

    8) Had to sit down while urinating.

No further testing was considered necessary.

Probably old, first time I heard of it though...

  12. So many funny horde moments... but being able to put them into a single panel drawing.... make sure if you do an Orc... lots of flies buzzing =p

An orc with flies buzzing around him? Hmm, why am I thinking about Vrugz... ;-)
